Sermon Intelligence ("we", "us") provides hosted sermon transcription, search, and an AI assistant for churches. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, and profile photo (if you upload one).
  • Church content: sermon audio/video URLs you import, the resulting transcripts, summaries, and embeddings.
  • Usage data: sermon plays, search queries, AI questions, bookmarks, notes, playback position, and aggregate analytics.
  • Billing data: handled by Stripe — we store only the customer/subscription identifiers, never card numbers.

How we use it

  • To transcribe, summarize, embed, and search the sermons you upload.
  • To power the AI assistant on questions you ask, grounded only in your church's own corpus.
  • To show admins anonymized analytics about engagement.
  • To send transactional emails (billing, invites, account events).

Sharing

We use sub-processors to deliver the product: cloud hosting, transcription (Supadata), embeddings and LLM inference (Google, OpenAI via our AI gateway), email delivery, and payments (Stripe). We never sell your data and never train third-party models on your sermons or chat history.

Multi-tenant isolation

Each church is its own tenant. Row-Level Security policies in our database enforce that members of one church can never read another church's sermons, chunks, summaries, chat history, or analytics.

Your rights

You can export, correct, or delete your account data at any time. Email privacy@sermonintel.com and we will respond within 30 days.
