Summary

Bishop Henry Fernandez challenges believers to move beyond religious performance and 'filtered' church habits to embrace raw, honest, and unfiltered worship rooted in a personal encounter with God.

Key points
  • Authentic worship requires a genuine encounter with God that strips away religious pretense, masks, and excuses.
  • Worship is not merely an external activity or a musical segment of a church service; it is an internal surrender to God's authority.
  • Many believers suffer from 'filtered' worship because they lack knowledge of Scripture, often knowing more about social media and pop culture than God's Word.
  • Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman reveals that God is not looking for a specific location or ritual, but for those who worship in spirit and in truth.
  • True worship brings alignment and reverence, transforming the believer into a 'well' of living water that remains present in everyday life, not just during a Sunday service.

This week, identify one 'religious mask' you wear-such as pretending to have it all together or only praying in public-and consciously set it aside to spend fifteen minutes in raw, honest, and 'unfiltered' prayer with God.

Reflection questions
  1. In what areas of your life are you currently chasing 'water' that leaves you thirsty again?
  2. When you enter a worship service, do you rely on the stage performers to 'crank you up,' or do you arrive with a praise already in your heart?
  3. How does your knowledge of God's Word compare to your knowledge of current events or social media trends?
  4. What does 'internal surrender' look like for you in your current season of life?

0:00So this month, the Lord has led me to
0:03walk us through a series centered on
0:08worship unfiltered.
0:11Pastor Kevin and Minister Carlen
0:15just a moment ago shared with you that's
0:18the theme for the month of February.
0:23If we're going to understand what the
0:26word unfiltered
0:28mean or
0:30what unfiltered worship really is, we
0:34must first understand what the word
0:37unfiltered
0:39means.
0:42Unfiltered means something raw,
0:48something unrefined,
0:51something presented, watch this, without
0:55censor or disguise.
0:59[snorts]
1:00And here is the truth about every
1:03believer that we must understand and
1:06that there can be no authentic authentic
1:11worship. There can be absolutely no
1:14authentic unfiltered worship under God
1:17without a genuine encounter
1:22with God.
1:24>> Not an encounter with religion.
1:27[clears throat]
1:27Not an encounter with a pastor, a
1:30prophet, a prophetess. I'm talking about
1:34a genuine encounter with God.
1:38Whenever you experience a divine
1:41encounter,
1:42when God's word confronts your sins,
1:47your patterns,
1:49and the lifestyle choices that have
1:52caused you to walk away from him, watch
1:57this. It strips you of pretense.
2:02It forces you to come before God without
2:06mask, without excuses and without
2:09religious performance.
2:12You see, when you come before God with
2:15unfiltered worship, it's raw, it's
2:20honest, and it's open.
2:23Jesus makes it clear in John chapter 4
2:27at verse 24. He says, watch this, God is
2:33spirit
2:35and it is necessary to worship God or to
2:39worship God in spirit and in truth. So
2:43God's not man who looks for affirmation,
2:47who looks to be um entertained or to be
2:52worshiped. God's not desperate of our
2:55worship. Yes, sir. He exists even if you
2:59don't worship him.
3:01>> He's a spirit. The Bible says and it is
3:05necessary. In other words, it is in him
3:08we live. That's a scripture. In him we
3:10live and move and exist. So what this
3:13word is telling us, God is spirit. It is
3:16necessary to worship him in spirit and
3:18in truth. That we can only exist
3:23when we worship him.
3:24>> Amen. Amen.
3:26>> That when we worship him unfiltered,
3:29you see, there's a widespread
3:31misconception
3:33in the body of Christ that worship is
3:36simply
3:37the praise and worship portion of the
3:40service when someone on stage instructs
3:43you to lift your hands and open your
3:46mouth and to sing along.
3:49But that is not what Jesus was talking
3:52about here.
3:54You see, you can sing every song, lift
3:58up both hands and still never worship
4:03God.
4:05>> Because worship is not external
4:07activity. It is an internal surrender.
4:13>> Oh, you ought to hear me this morning. I
4:16got to say it again. Worship is not
4:19external activity. It is an internal
4:23surrender.
4:24So when we say worship unfiltered, we're
4:28saying take the mask off. Worship God in
4:33spirit and in truth. Not to attract
4:36attention to yourself. Not to feel as if
4:39that you are holy and righteous to God
4:41because you lift your hands and you
4:43start crying and you're getting
4:45emotional. No, worship is nothing
4:48external. [gasps]
4:50How is the internal part of you? Have
4:54you surrendered fully to God? You see,
4:56some people only worship God publicly
4:59with their lips,
5:02but their hearts ARE FAR from him.
5:06>> And this is not a new issue in the
5:09church. Isaiah addressed this a long
5:12time ago. Can we go to the word? Let's
5:14go to Isaiah 29 2:es 13 and 14.
5:20Look at what this says. I And can you
5:23put it on the screen? I want everybody
5:25to read it. I want you to read out loud
5:26because perhaps you're not going to
5:28believe me. I want you to read it so you
5:30can meditate on it. Come on, read these
5:33people. Come on.
5:41their worship of me is based on what
5:46>> that
5:48Paul says these people he's talking
5:51about the religious people he's talking
5:53about people who gets excited because
5:56they're in a worship mode if you will he
5:59said these people draw near with their
6:02mouths and They honor me with their
6:05lips. They get excited with their lips.
6:09They shout it out. I worship God. They
6:12scream. They yell. But in their hearts,
6:15that inner man, he says, are far from
6:19me. Their worship of me is based on
6:23merely human rules
6:26that they have been taught in the
6:30church. Lift their hands and praise the
6:32Lord. worship the Lord. Nothing wrong
6:34with that. But the reason why sometimes
6:37the worship leaders or the pastor
6:40struggle to get participation from the
6:43audience, it's more performance.
6:48>> It's not from the heart.
6:52Because when you don't depend on the
6:54stage to engage you into worship the
6:58moment you enter into his gates, you
7:02come with thanksgiving. Lord, I made it
7:05through another week. Lord, I thank you
7:07that you kept me on the job. Lord, I
7:10thank you that I'm still in my right
7:12mind. Lord, I thank you that I'm still
7:15among the living. I GIVE YOU PRAISE the
7:18fact that I can remember my name. I
7:21mean, you just come into the sanctuary
7:24already with a praise in your belly. Can
7:28somebody give God a worship by the
7:30clapping of your hands this morning?
7:34This is what Paul or the the PROPHET
7:36ISAIAH WAS TALKING ABOUT. He said,
7:39"Their worship of me is based on merely
7:42human rules." You see, unfiltered
7:45worship goes far beyond the words we say
7:48in private or public places.
7:52>> It goes beyond the rituals we repeat
7:56week after week. It goes beyond routine
8:00church attendance and religious habits.
8:04Not only that, it also goes beyond so
8:07many things. that goes beyond, you know,
8:10uh the the pretense that we we find
8:12ourselves doing constantly because
8:15unfiltered worship is approaching God
8:18with a sincere heart. No pretending,
8:22no religious camouflage,
8:25no ulterior motives. It's just standing
8:29before God
8:31exactly
8:33as you are allowing him to transform
8:37you.
8:39>> That's worship unfiltered.
8:41You see your faith journey is always
8:45always to be your faith journey I should
8:49say will always be shallow if you
8:52approach God the same way you approach
8:55people.
8:57See, every day we leave our homes and we
9:00put on the best face to the world. Isn't
9:04that true?
9:05>> We groom ourselves. We dress ourselves,
9:08right? We filter ourselves because the
9:11world doesn't get to see the real us.
9:15And that may work socially, but it
9:19doesn't work spiritually.
9:22>> You you you can't fool God.
9:25The Bible says God's not mocked.
9:28>> Whatsoever a man sow,
9:31>> he's going to reap.
9:33>> So unfortunately,
9:35this is how many people approach God. We
9:38come with self-righteousness
9:40instead of repentance.
9:44We come with self-righteousness.
9:46We come in and we dress up our
9:50self-righteousness with an image, a
9:53style, a walk, a sound.
9:58Come on now. Because the way we talk, we
10:01sound religious. The way we walk, we
10:03sound religious. The way we dress, you
10:06know, we sound religious. But that
10:08that's not worship unfiltered.
10:11You see, we worship safely in crowds.
10:16So, we look spiritual.
10:19Come on now. We're here and and we
10:21worship. But how do you worship at home?
10:24What about your car? What about in those
10:27private places?
10:30BECAUSE BEHIND ALL OF THAT, the mask
10:32that we put on, many of us are empty.
10:36We're thirsty. We're broken. And here's
10:38the word, we're dysfunctional.
10:40Yes, we are.
10:43>> Come on now. And we're chasing things
10:46and people that cannot satisfy us.
10:53Happens all the time.
10:56Women are chasing after things that will
10:59not satisfy. Men are chasing after
11:02things that will not satisfy. Young
11:05people are chasing after things that
11:08will not satisfy.
11:10And we lack authentic worship
11:14because we've got these masks on. That
11:19is why we have lost sight of our
11:21purpose. That is why we have lost sight
11:24of our saltiness.
11:28Instead of being uh full of hope and uh
11:32instead of bringing hope and clarity to
11:35the world, we have confused it with weak
11:39faith and powerless religion.
11:44Many believers
11:46feel no conviction about prayerlessness.
11:51>> None. None. None whatsoever. So how can
11:55you worship if you don't pray?
11:59How how can you worship if you do not
12:04pray? Because we lack prayer. No urgency
12:08about studying God's word. No passion
12:12for gathering in God's house to be
12:15equipped and trained for evangelism.
12:19And yet we find pleasure in going
12:22[singing and music] to other places that
12:24will drift us or pull us away from God.
12:30>> Come on now. Don't shout me down now.
12:33I know it's cold on the outside. Please
12:35don't let it be cold on the inside.
12:39And so we have lost our moral compass.
12:43God has entrusted us with financial
12:47resources. Yet many have become
12:49consumers of the world
12:52with little conviction to support the
12:55kingdom of God.
12:58>> Consumers of the world, no conviction
13:02because we have lacked the whole concept
13:06of worship.
13:09Unfiltered worship brings alignment. And
13:12alignment produces, watch this,
13:14reverence.
13:15>> [snorts]
13:15>> Anytime you're in alignment with God, I
13:19am telling you, it brings conviction. It
13:23forces you to reverence God.
13:28>> When your heart is in alignment with
13:30God, generosity becomes natural, not
13:33forced.
13:35Recently, someone asked me why
13:38millennials and honestly many
13:41generations
13:42struggle with tithing.
13:45And the person says, "Is it rebellion?"
13:48My answer was simply this. It's not
13:51rebellion. It is ignorance to the word
13:54of God.
13:55>> Because you cannot live what you do not
13:58know.
14:01>> I got to say that again. You cannot live
14:05what you do not know. And why many
14:07believers lack
14:10worship unfiltered is because they don't
14:13know the book.
14:16We don't listen, let's be honest. We
14:19don't know the book. I'm not talking
14:20about the church here and and the world.
14:22I'm talking about the church. We don't
14:24know the Bible. Oh, ABSOLUTELY. WE KNOW
14:27EVERYTHING about social media.
14:32>> We know how the algorithm works. We know
14:35how to block this and do this. We study
14:38as they put out an app, as they put out
14:40an update. We can we can LITERALLY
14:43PERFORM A class
14:47>> and how it works.
14:52>> WE KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GRAMMY
14:54that's going to be here tonight.
14:57>> We know every performer. We know when it
14:59comes to the Oscar award or all of these
15:01award. We know every actor. We know
15:03their age. We know WHO THEY HAVE DATED.
15:06We know who they've divorced. We know
15:08how many children THEY HAVE. WE KNOW
15:10EVERYTHING about Hollywood but not the
15:14book.
15:19[applause]
15:20>> And we wonder why we cannot have worship
15:22unfiltered.
15:24>> You cannot live what you don't know.
15:28>> You're living what you know. The world.
15:32>> That's who you know. You're living the
15:35world. So the church has become like the
15:38world. We're consuming more of the
15:40world's content than God's truth. We
15:43listen to it, we watch it, we read it,
15:45and then we give God a few minutes per
15:50Sunday.
15:52>> If we all do it, cuz you know, we run
15:54about two hours IN OUR SERVICE. AND YOU
15:56KNOW, SOME OF YOU DO NOT COME TO CHURCH
15:59for two hours
16:01>> cuz you're late all the time.
16:05>> So, it's not like you did give God two
16:07hours. You gave him an hour and a half.
16:17>> I hope you still love me. You know,
16:21I mean, it's the truth.
16:23>> I'm not trying to bash you. I'm just
16:25telling it's the truth.
16:27>> We know more of everything out there,
16:30but no reverence
16:33>> to God.
16:34>> No reverence to God.
16:36>> Amen. But reverend man more
16:40>> we comply more. You go on a flight
16:44and they say remain in your seat until
16:46the plane taxis to the gate. You comply
16:52but by the time I'm getting ready to
16:54close this sermon.
17:03[applause]
17:04>> You're not going anywhere. It's not work
17:05you're going, but it's just a habit. No
17:09reverence.
17:15>> You see, worship unfiltered
17:18means God is no longer an event you
17:22attend.
17:24>> It becomes the center of how you live
17:28your life.
17:29[applause]
17:32When you truly encounter God, you want
17:35to know him more.
17:39>> And when you know him more, you want
17:41others to know him. And when you love
17:45him, you invest in what he loves,
17:49>> his kingdom and his mission.
17:52You see, that is why Jesus intentionally
17:54revealed the truth of this woman in John
17:58chapter 4. In John chapter 4, he brings
18:03us to a story
18:07of an encounter he had with a woman. And
18:10I'm quite sure we have heard the story
18:12over and over, but I think we missed the
18:14message behind it.
18:16In John chapter 4, beginning at verse 5,
18:19Jesus showed this woman that worship is
18:23not about a location.
18:25>> It's not about culture.
18:27>> It's not about tradition.
18:29It's about true truth, I should say, and
18:33total surrender to God.
18:35>> It's about being honest to God. Come
18:39before him
18:41and being honest. This is who I am.
18:45>> Broken.
18:47Tried everything out there
18:50>> and I'm still thirsty.
18:53>> I tried my job. I tried my career. I
18:55tried the multiple degrees. I TRIED
18:58STARTING BUSINESSES. I'VE TRIED
19:00EVERYTHING. I tried dating. I tried
19:03marrying. It just didn't satisfy me
19:09>> until I draw from that water.
19:13>> Can we go to John chapter 4?
19:16>> And I want to begin at verse five.
19:19John chapter 4.
19:22And please bring it up. Verse five, not
19:26seven. I need verse five. Verse 5. Let's
19:29start at verse five.
19:31And so,
19:33and I want you go fast with me here. And
19:37so, we find this woman. The Bible says,
19:41this woman who came before Jesus. I'm
19:44trying to look at the scripture and I
19:45don't have the correct version I'm
19:47looking for. But the Bible says, "This
19:49woman come uh from Samaria came to draw
19:53water. And Jesus said to her, "Give me a
19:58drink."
19:59>> Or she said to Jesus, "Give me a drink."
20:03For his disciples, go back to verse, you
20:06got to verse eight. Why you get jump to
20:08verse eight. Go back to verse five. I
20:11think you have the wrong thing on the
20:13screen there. Please help me out here.
20:15Go back. Let me go turn around. Verse
20:16five.
20:19So So
20:21go to verse six. Go to six because
20:28>> verse seven. All right, go to verse
20:30seven. Maybe I'm Maybe I'm the one
20:32that's wrong. Go to verse seven.
20:34>> Hey, there you go. Thank you. I
20:36apologize backstage. You're going to get
20:38me. I'm [snorts] wrong. I was the one
20:41messed up. I thought we were going to
20:42start from verse five, but let's go. A
20:44woman from Samaria came to draw water.
20:46Jesus said to her, "Give [snorts]
20:49me a drink."
20:52For his disciple had gone away into the
20:55city to buy food. The Samaritan woman
20:59said to him, "How is it that you, a Jew,
21:04how is it that you, a Jew, how is it
21:07that you, who is different from me,
21:12>> asked for a drink from me, a woman of
21:17Samaria?"
21:18She's bringing culture into it
21:23>> because him being a rabbi
21:26should not be mixing with these kinds of
21:29a people, especially a woman at that.
21:34So, I'm quite sure there's a whole lot
21:36of things that was going on in her mind.
21:39First of all, he's a Jew. What he he has
21:42no business talking to me, a Samaritan.
21:44and on top of that a woman by herself.
21:50>> Follow me here. The Samaritan woman said
21:52to him, "How is it that you, a Jew,
21:55asked for a drink of me, a woman of
21:58Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings
22:00with Samaritans?" Jesus answered her,
22:03"If you knew the gift of God and who it
22:07is that is saying to you, give me a
22:10drink, you would have asked him, and he
22:13would have given you living water."
22:17Notice living water, not temporary
22:20water, not something that will satisfy
22:24for a moment. Cuz that's what we do in
22:27society. We're going after things that
22:30what? just satisfy us for the moment our
22:33jobs just to satisfy cuz honey I don't
22:36care how good your job is. I don't care
22:38how much money it pays you. You're not
22:40going to work forever.
22:42>> Yes.
22:43>> Amen.
22:44>> And how many of you know you can build
22:46up a company and generate a lot of money
22:49but honey they find somebody else better
22:52than you, you are out.
22:59And you may brag, "Oh, well, I got so
23:01many degrees and so forth." Your degree
23:04is only as good as your memory.
23:13>> All right. ALL RIGHT.
23:15>> YOUR DEGREE IS AS ONLY good
23:18>> as your memory.
23:19>> As your memory,
23:21>> you know how many people with degrees
23:23but can't remember?
23:26remember a thing. So before you go
23:27bragging about what's hanging on the
23:29wall,
23:31>> be careful of the things you're chasing.
23:36>> That's why David says, "As the dear pass
23:38it
23:40>> after the water, so my soul." That's
23:42authentic worship. That's worship
23:45unfiltered. Jesus answered her. Okay,
23:48let's go to the next verse. We we read
23:50that the woman said unto him, "Sir,
23:53you have nothing to draw water with, and
23:58the well is deep." Well, pause for a
24:00moment. See, she doesn't have any idea
24:04who she's standing before.
24:07Because you see, everybody would come to
24:09the well with a container. But Jesus
24:12showed up at the well without a
24:15container. He doesn't need a container.
24:17He's the whale.
24:20>> Oh, y'all y'all not with me now.
24:23>> He's the well.
24:25>> Come on now. So, she got it twisted,
24:28right? And he says, "And the well is
24:30deep." She said, "And the WELL IS DEEP."
24:32WHERE do you get that living water? Next
24:35verse, please. Are you greater than our
24:37Here she comes bringing all this
24:38religious stuff.
24:41>> And watch this. The worshiping
24:44[laughter] of religious leaders.
24:50She's bringing in religion
24:54>> and
24:56turning religious leaders into idols.
25:01>> She says,
25:03"Are you greater than our father Jacob?
25:08>> He gave us the well and drank from it
25:10himself."
25:13>> You don't even understand what you're
25:15saying.
25:17that you're saying Jacob built the well
25:20and Jacob himself have to drink from
25:23that well. That mean Jacob ain't greater
25:26than you.
25:28>> That's it.
25:30>> When you see a preacher up there, I
25:32don't care how gifted that preacher is.
25:34That preacher is no different from you.
25:38>> Don't you turn that man or that woman
25:40into a god. Amen.
25:41>> Amen.
25:43>> Don't you come in no building worshiping
25:45who is standing there, who's got the
25:47title as a leader CUZ ALL OF US GOT to
25:51drink from the same well.
25:56So she continued as did his sons
26:00generation. It's a pattern. Next verse
26:03please. In verse
26:0713 to of 12 13 Jesus said to her,
26:11"Everyone who drinks of this water will
26:14thirst." Just confirm what I just said.
26:18If you keep drinking from the systems of
26:21the world,
26:23>> if you keep going after the wrong
26:25things,
26:27>> if you keep making your your pursuit in
26:31life all about what you can achieve,
26:35>> you're going to end up being thirsty.
26:38That's why out of everything you've been
26:40through, come on now, you dated some
26:42good guys, you've dated some good women,
26:45but what did they produce?
26:51I'm going somewhere with this as I'm
26:53closing cuz this is powerful. I've read
26:56this over and over and something popped
26:59out of me that blew my mind that when
27:04you recognize that it don't make no
27:07sense, you come pretending before God.
27:10>> Amen.
27:10>> All right. All right. If you truly
27:13understand worship unfiltered,
27:15the next time you start worshiping
27:17privately, you take the mask off.
27:20>> The next time you come to church, you
27:22take the mask off.
27:24>> You stop impressing people.
27:26>> Yes, sir.
27:27>> You don't wait for the pastor to say
27:30something for you.
27:33That's right.
27:34>> Something should be said in the service.
27:35If nobody clap,
27:39if nobody say hallelujah, hallelujah.
27:42Because if they're in tune with the
27:44spirit, when you clap,
27:48>> she will clap. He will clap. When you
27:51say hallelujah, that same spirit that's
27:54in you, when you're pulling from the
27:56same well, oh, I got a hallelujah, too.
28:00Can somebody give God praise in the
28:03house today?
28:05So notice Jesus said to her, "EVERYONE
28:09WHO DRINKS OF THIS WATER WILL BE THIRSTY
28:13AGAIN. IF YOU TRY RELIGION,
28:17>> you're going to be thirsty.
28:19>> You try people, you're going to be
28:21thirsty." NEXT VERSE, PLEASE. BUT
28:23WHOEVER DRINKS OF THE water that I'll
28:26give you will never thirst again. And
28:28the water that I give him will become in
28:32him a spring of water welling up to
28:37eternal life. So in you out of your
28:41belly shall flow rivers of living water.
28:46You don't even KNOW IT. YOU ALREADY
28:48POSSESS THE ABILITY to worship God. YOU
28:52ALREADY POSSESS THE ABILITY to give God
28:55a praise and to thank him for the rest
28:58of your life. IT'S ALREADY IN YOU.
29:02SOMEBODY SHOUT IT. IT'S ALREADY IN ME.
29:06It's in you.
29:09>> It's in you. You just got to give birth
29:12to it.
29:13>> But watch this next verse, please. The
29:16woman said to him, "Sir," watch this.
29:19And it gets good, man.
29:20[gasps and snorts]
29:21Give me this water. Thank God.
29:25>> She's switching her thinking. Her
29:27attitude has changed so that I will not
29:30be thirsty. Wait a minute. Here's this
29:32woman. I don't know who this is for.
29:34This woman is saying, "Okay, I don't
29:36want to be thirsty again."
29:39She said, "Or have to come here [snorts]
29:43to draw water.
29:50I don't have to go to church
29:52to get my spirit in the right place.
29:57Go to church. But notice what I said. I
30:00don't have to go back to church week
30:03after week to get the anointing, to get
30:05the power, and to get the word because
30:08wherever I go, the word is with me.
30:12ARE YOU HEARING ME?
30:15THAT'S WHAT THIS WOMAN WAS EXPERIENCING.
30:19WHEREVER SHE WENT, SHE WAS THE WHALE.
30:22GOD WAS FILLING HER UP. And then Jesus,
30:26now this is where the mask comes off.
30:31Come on now. Cuz all of us in here, come
30:32on now. We got our mask on. Look at us.
30:35Look at us. Look at us. We look all
30:36mighty and well, but the truth be told.
30:39If the truth be told, Jesus knows you.
30:42Come on now. All that fake smile you got
30:44on right now, he knows you. Notice what
30:47he said. JESUS SAID TO HER, "GO CALL
30:50your husband."
30:52>> He never said, "Husbands."
30:56>> Here's the revelation.
30:58>> FAR TOO LONG. WE THOUGHT THIS WOMAN HAD
31:01five men at the same time. Read the
31:04text.
31:07>> Call your husband and come here. Next
31:10verse. Watch this. The woman answered,
31:12"I HAVE NO HUSBAND." Jesus said to her,
31:16"You are right in saying that I have no
31:19husband." Keep going. Keep going. FOR
31:21YOU HAVE HAD FIVE HUSBANDS. In other
31:25words, five husbands. Watch this. To
31:28prove my point, she didn't have five men
31:30at the same time. At the same time, AND
31:33THE ONE YOU NOW HAVE, [snorts] in other
31:36words, the woman went through FIVE MEN.
31:40SHE TRIED ONE, it didn't work. She left
31:42him divorced. I don't know what she did,
31:44but she tried another one, and she tried
31:46another one, and she tried another one.
31:48CAN I JUST TELL SOME OF YOU WOMEN HERE,
31:50STOP trying men to get fulfillment. A
31:55man cannot, I promise you, a man cannot
32:01satisfy
32:03you.
32:08and all the brothers hate me now.
32:15>> That should be a scripture for every
32:17woman.
32:20So this thirst, I got to have a man in
32:23my life. I got to have a man in my life
32:26to be there for me and to to support me
32:28and to stop being desperate.
32:40You should see the look in some of these
32:41brothers faces
32:44and the one you now now have is not your
32:49husband.
32:50What you have said is true. Come on now.
32:54Next verse. And the woman said to him,
32:56"Sir,
32:59only you,
33:02watch this, [laughter]
33:06men are so blind.
33:10It took Jesus to see right through her
33:15>> and say, "All these men you chasing,
33:18>> they couldn't satisfy you." She said,
33:20"It took a prophet
33:23>> to know that." Next verse.
33:26Our fathers worship on the mountain on
33:29this mountain. But you say that in
33:32Jerusalem is the place where people
33:34ought to worship. Keep going.
33:37Jesus said unto her,"Woman,
33:40>> believe me.
33:42>> This is where I want to end the sermon."
33:46Jesus said,"Woman,
33:48>> believe me.
33:50The hour is coming
33:54>> when neither on this mountain
33:57>> or in Jerusalem will you worship the
34:00father.
34:02>> You worship what you do not know. We
34:06worship what we know. For salvation is
34:11from the Jews. Come on now. And but the
34:15hour is coming, and now it is here, when
34:20the true worshippers will worship the
34:23Father in spirit and in truth. For the
34:28Father, he seeketh such to worship him.
34:41Whenever
34:42you have a true encounter with Jesus,
34:47>> it strips you of your mask,
34:51>> your phoniness,
34:54>> strip you of trying to hide behind
34:57religion
34:59>> or trying to think that you are all of
35:01that and a bag of chips.
35:05When you have a true encounter with God,
35:08>> you understand the command Jesus gave
35:11>> that the father is looking in this day
35:13and time in America.
35:16>> Those of you streaming wherever you are
35:17around the world, the father is looking
35:20for unfiltered worship.
35:25>> We tried everything else. Our churches
35:28in America, we have tried everything
35:30else.
35:32We've tried new programs.
35:35>> We've tried the stage, the lights, the
35:39LED screens.
35:42We've tried all of this.
35:44>> We've tried all of these new programs.
35:47We've hired strategists
35:50>> to come in
35:52to work on how we can be better.
35:57But I'm telling you,
35:59>> the hour that we're in in America,
36:03>> it's going to take worship unfiltered
36:07>> to get us back
36:09into the presence of God.
36:14>> Stand with me, everybody.
36:16>> Lord,
36:17>> stop following
36:21>> the men
36:23>> who can give temporary
36:27satisfaction.
36:29>> Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah.
36:32>> Stop.
36:34>> Lord,
36:35>> not just men in the sense of having a
36:37fiance.
36:39>> I'm saying stop following the patterns.
36:44>> Stop following multiple people thinking
36:47that those multiple people are the
36:49people who are going to bring you in the
36:50presence of God. Cuz if you keep doing
36:54that, you're going to constantly walk
36:56around seeking for a well, seeking for
37:00something to fill you only to come up
37:02empty.
37:05>> Got to be serious with God.
37:09>> How many more sermons you're going to
37:11come to the faith center to receive?
37:14>> To be
37:16real before God,
37:20God, I tried my career. I tried my job.
37:22I tried money. I tried I tried looking
37:26successful
37:27and it never worked. God,
37:31I tried.
37:34I tried church hopping
37:36from one church to the next. You don't
37:38like this preacher, you go to the next
37:39preacher and so forth. Honey, I'm tell
37:41if you come here for me, you going to be
37:44disappointed.
37:50>> Amen. Stop following people.
37:54>> Become the well.
38:02>> When he pours in you, woo, glory to God.
38:07>> Then your worship is for real.
38:11>> That nobody when you come into the
38:13presence of God, we don't have to crank
38:15you up.
38:17>> Come on now. You don't have to have 15
38:21minutes of praise and worship this and
38:22that. No. From your house.
38:27>> Woo. Glory to God. You get in that car,
38:31you can feel the presence of God. You
38:34get into the parking lot, you can feel
38:37the presence of God. You get into the
38:39sanctuary, you can feel the presence of
38:42God. It gets better. When you leave
38:44church, you're still in the presence of
38:46God. It gets better when you go to that
38:49job tomorrow. I don't care how toxic
38:52that place is. You're still in the
38:55presence OF GOD. WHY? YOU ARE THE WHALE.
38:58YOU ARE THE WHALE. Cuz you're no longer
39:01thirsty for another church service.
39:05[music]
39:07>> Cuz wherever you go,
39:09>> you bring the water.
39:14>> Are you hearing me? WHEREVER YOU GO, YOU
39:16BRING THE WATER, YOU BRING THE POWER,
39:19YOU BRING THE ANOINTING.
39:25>> Bow your heads with me.
39:27>> If you don't know the Lord as your
39:29personal savior today,
39:32I need you just to surrender to him. I
39:34don't know what you're going through.
39:36Listen man.
39:38I don't know what you're going through,
39:39and I don't know why you have not drank
39:41from this well.
39:44But I encourage you, [clears throat] try
39:46Jesus. I promise you, you try him,
39:50you'll find there's nobody like him.
39:53>> Nobody.
39:55Wherever you are in this room or you're
39:57streaming, just try him today.
40:00Just surrender.
40:02Just say, "Lord, come into my heart. I I
40:05don't know what I'm doing. I'm confused.
40:07I'm broken.
40:08But I need you. I need you to change me.
40:11I I need I need something to change in
40:14my life.
40:16And he'll change you. And just just be
40:19real. Be honest.
40:22You don't need to pretend.
40:24Don't be religious.
40:27Please don't be religious. Pick up your
40:29Bible. Get to know him. Be around
40:32positive people.
40:35I invite you to come to this church to
40:37be fed every week, whether virtually or
40:39on campus.
40:40But if you're in the area, listen, you
40:43cannot grow and mature in the word of
40:46God if you don't make an effort to
40:49assemble yourself together. You got to
40:51do that. How bad do you want this
40:56water that will never let you thirst
40:57again. You got to do something. You
41:00confess with your mouth. You believe in
41:01your heart. If you're ready to do that,
41:04I want you to say, "Lord Jesus, Lord
41:07Jesus,
41:07>> I'm a sinner. my s
41:09>> I repent of my sins.
41:10>> I repent of my s
41:12>> I embrace the free gift of salvation.
41:14>> I embrace the free gift of salvation.
41:16>> I declare with my mouth
41:17>> I declare with my mouth
41:18>> that I'm born again
41:20>> that I'm born again
41:20>> in Jesus name.
41:22>> in Jesus name.
41:22>> Father, thank you for their confession
41:24today.
41:26Thank you that they're now part of the
41:28kingdom of God. Help all of them to
41:31understand it is their responsibility to
41:33work out their own salvation
41:36by making sure that they first share
41:39their faith with people. [music] Get in
41:41the word
41:43and that they attend the classes that we
41:46will have available here for them.
41:50I pray for all of us as we leave this
41:53week
41:55to go and to do business and whatever we
41:58find ourselves doing that we'll become
42:00the well
42:03that you will pour [music] into us
42:06and no longer our religious beliefs and
42:10attitude and all the stuff that we mask
42:14every day
42:16will control us.
42:19Bless us tomorrow as we return as a
42:21church
42:22>> to pray for one hour.
42:26>> One hour to be in your presence
42:31whether it is cold, hot or in between
42:34that we come back to the temple to
42:36reverence you
42:39to pray and to receive prayer.
42:43Bless our Bible study this Wednesday in
42:45advance as we come to study your word.
42:48We declare that we will have a
42:50successful week this week. Why? Because
42:52we are kingdom citizens
42:55and we're taking the word of God and
42:59kingdom principles to the streets. Thank
43:03you for their attendance. Thank you for
43:05those who stream today. Thank you for
43:08those who gave and swed into the
43:11ministry to help us
43:14to take care of our financial
43:16obligations.
43:18May your blessings be with us. Now, as
43:21we all lift our hands
43:24and we're going to say a confession, but
43:26before we do, if you
43:29stated the sinner's prayer, they're
43:31going to put the QR code the moment we
43:33say our confession, our benediction.
43:36I want you to scan it. We'll get in
43:39contact with you and believe [music] me,
43:41we want to see you win in your faith
43:43journey. Please scan that before you
43:46leave today. Let's say the benediction
43:48out loud, everybody. Faith in God will
43:52move mountains out of our lives. God
43:55bless you. Love you. See you tomorrow
43:56night. [music]
43:57Become the well. We'll see you. God
43:59bless.
