1:56that we must maintain our Focus on the

2:07someone told her it would be a miracle

2:11impossible for you to get what you think

2:16deserve you've been praying and asking
2:19God for a place of dwelling for your
2:22children that's not difficult God's not
2:25unreasonable she didn't go and say God I
2:28want you to give me something that's
2:30really kind of far-fetched or perhaps
2:33her getting our priorities messed up she
2:36obviously want to shelter her family and
2:40here's the thing about it is you know I
2:42don't know her business but you know um
2:45it seems as if there's not a male figure
2:49in her life to assister her I'm
2:52assuming there's none so here it is this
2:55young lady now she has to depend on
2:58God with with children
3:02girls how do I break that
3:05curse how do I give hope to my
3:09girls cuz the scripture says a good man
3:12will leave an inheritance it didn't say
3:14a good
3:16woman but leave an inheritance so when
3:19men drop the ball or we fail to do our
3:24responsibility these women are fixing
3:26their
3:28eyes on Jesus
3:31to be
3:33sustained because you're challenged on
3:35the job you've been challenged at home
3:38you've been challenged financially
3:41you've been challenged mentally just the
3:44mental stress of life every single day
3:48people have no idea how you have to get
3:50up and deal with what you're dealing
3:53with and here the word of God is saying
3:56to us we must pay attention to the word
3:59of God
4:00but we must always fix our eyes directly
4:04forward as David would say I would lift
4:07up my eyes unto the
4:09hills whence cometh my help you see by
4:14meditating on that meditating on the
4:16word of God and making it your primary
4:20focus you will benefit while you're on
4:23this Faith journey and you will
4:26maintain good physical health Health not
4:31just your
4:32spiritual life or spiritual walk but
4:38your
4:38physical wellness on the earth the word
4:42of God keeps your mind in perfect
4:46peace it keeps your mind in perfect
4:49peace it is medically proven that stress
4:52has a lot to do with certain
4:56sicknesses that when you stress yourself
4:58out right you don't have to smoke you
5:00don't have to
5:02drink you don't have to eat poorly just
5:06stress
5:07yourself and the
5:09enemy will take away years of your
5:13life so you won't be
5:16sustained and I'm telling you when you
5:19live in the word of God the word of God
5:21gives you the grace to
5:25age
5:28gracefully I'm telling you you stay on
5:31the
5:32word I've seen a lot of young people and
5:35when they tell me their age I'm like
5:38huh say that
5:42again cuz they're in their 30s and with
5:45the stress of
5:47Life they look
5:50old really
5:55old look straight at me just don't look
5:58at it
6:01because they don't know how to sustain
6:04thems because their eyes are not on the
6:07word so something
6:09else so here proverbs 4 verse 23
6:13instructs us to diligently guard our
6:17hearts as it is the source of all life's
6:23outcome guard your
6:25life guard your heart I should say guard
6:29it because the enemy will come in and
6:32he'll let you lift up other
6:34things he'll let you lift up negativity
6:37he'll let you lift up everything that is
6:39bad and you will never lift up the name
6:42of Christ you'll never lift up what the
6:44word of God says about you in your
6:48situation and how do you expect yourself
6:50to be
6:51sustained if you don't feed on the word
6:54of God if you're feeding on the
6:56negativities of the world if you feed on
6:59your emotions if that's all you're
7:01feeding on I'm telling you you're not
7:04going to have good outcomes in life the
7:07scripture says keep your heart with all
7:10villance for from it flows the
7:14Springs of Life so think about that for
7:17a moment think about that what this is
7:20saying is the outcome of Life hangs on
7:23what you allow to have dominance in your
7:28heart what's in your heart today what is
7:31in your heart
7:33today on this Palm Sunday are you
7:36lifting up Christ are you lifting up the
7:40fact that he is the resurrected Christ
7:43that he is the one who has brought you
7:45to where you are today he's the one that
7:47is sustaining you today are you are you
7:51lifting him up or are you kind of
7:54magnifying other stuff in your life
7:57today you see by prioriti in the word of
8:00God and safeguarding our hearts we can
8:04navigate life's
8:06challenges with wisdom and
8:11strength wisdom and
8:15strength when you meditate on the word
8:17of God the word of God will give you
8:20wisdom and that wisdom will teach you
8:23how to navigate through
8:25life teach you how to make wise
8:28decisions it'll teach you when to
8:31respond and when not to
8:34respond it will teach you when to make a
8:38move the word of God will order your
8:41steps if you meditate on the word of God
8:44so it will give you wisdom and it will
8:47give you
8:49strength cuz I stand here today after 33
8:53years of pastoring this church I am a
8:57living witness the grace of God will
9:00always sustain you
9:04always I don't care what difficulty
9:07you're up against the grace of God will
9:10sustain you so today let's take a look a
9:14quick look at how the events of Palm
9:17Sunday can help us to fix our eyes on
9:20Jesus so that we can be uh
9:24sustained and that we can have better
9:28outcomes as we navigate through life so
9:33as I share with you on the subject
9:35fixure Eyes On Jesus we need to
9:38understand that in a world filled with
9:41distractions and
9:43confusion it is crucial that we fix our
9:45eyes on
9:47Jesus listen to me Christians including
9:51myself it is absolutely important that
9:55at this stage in our life in the society
10:00that we live in that our eyes must be
10:04fixed on
10:06Jesus cuz when your eyes are fixed on
10:10him you will Elevate him and not the
10:14problem you'll Elevate him and not the
10:17crazy things that people uh put you
10:20through when you fix your eyes on Jesus
10:23you won't see the drama but you'll see
10:26the blessing that comes from the drama
10:29am I talking to anybody here this
10:32morning the reason we need to do so fix
10:35our eyes on Jesus is that the darkness
10:37of this world watch this is skilled at
10:40diverting our attention from God and his
10:46guidance enemy is very skillful in
10:49this he has
10:52Bewitched many of us yes sir Paul said
10:56in in in in in in his in in one of his
10:59writings he he said you did run
11:03well but who hindered
11:07you you started out well I don't know
11:11who this is for this morning you started
11:13out well you started with good
11:16intentions you started out committed you
11:19started out saying I declare these
11:22things I know God wants me to be a
11:25believer I declare that God wants me
11:27healed I I declare that God wants me
11:30blessed I I declare that God wants me to
11:33change uh my family and the outcome of
11:36my family I I I declare and decree that
11:39God wants me to break the the curse of
11:41poverty and so forth you've been
11:43declaring a lot of stuff but what
11:46happened along the
11:49way why are you in the position you're
11:54currently
11:55in you did run well you were doing well
11:59you were you were being sustained by
12:03God but all of a sudden something
12:06hindered you you no longer go to
12:10church let me talk to those of you
12:18streaming you did run
12:22well you did run well there's a time in
12:25your life you were fully committed to
12:27God the time there was a time in your
12:30life you were on fire for God serving
12:33him and you would read your Bible every
12:36single day you would
12:39pray and you would
12:41fast but what
12:44happened what
12:46happened that your parents brought you
12:50up in
12:51church it was a holy moment every Sunday
12:55it was your day of saying God you've
12:57blessed me with seven days
13:00and I've made a
13:01commitment to give you back a few hours
13:05just to say thanks just to
13:09refill and you were enjoying that but
13:12now all of a
13:14sudden you missed the
13:17Mark you are you are
13:21comfortable comfortable doing Church
13:25your way when did servant God do
13:30becomes
13:35alart when did we get to the place where
13:38we choose how we do
13:40it and go around the word go around the
13:44word of God when did that happen come on
13:47now I think I'm sent here today to tell
13:51you that God longs to have you in his
13:56Temple oh there is no nothing like
13:59entering
14:01into the temple of
14:04God and I know I know some of you are
14:07saying well you know you don't have to
14:08be in church you don't have to well
14:10here's the thing I mean if you're going
14:12to do Bible show me in the
14:14Bible where God will say okay you know
14:18what you can do you do Church your way
14:22you can stream for the rest of your
14:24life I'm not talking to those of you I
14:27have we have members in Alaska right now
14:29and I know you're watching you're in
14:31Alaska you're in a ice
14:34box you can't come here you can't even
14:36go to your church where you are I get
14:39that but if you live in
14:44Sunrise

15:03street and and where have you gone
15:07wrong think about that what kind of a
15:11love relationship that
15:14is where you want to date God

15:25virtually we have to get to a place
15:28where as Believers we understand that we
15:31can only be
15:33sustained when we live in the
15:35word when we focus on our problems or
15:39the narratives of the
15:41media as well as social
15:44media we are met with fear anxiety and
15:50hopelessness anytime I don't want know
15:53who this is for you got problems anytime
15:57you start focusing on your problems
16:00what social media is saying anytime you
16:03you you focus on what people are saying
16:07you're going to be met with
16:09fear
16:10anxiety and hopelessness I told myself
16:14years ago I've got Big Dreams to fulfill
16:17and I have to be careful who I talk
16:21to because there's some people if you
16:24talk to them they'll talk you
16:26out of your dream
16:30but when you fix your eye on Jesus come
16:33on
16:34now knowing that he has called you to do
16:37uh certain things on the earth then fear
16:41is not a part of your life anxiety is
16:44not a part of your life hopelessness is
16:46not a part of your life when we fix our
16:48eyes on Jesus we can hear his
16:50instructions for our lives clearly and
16:54we will fulfill our purpose in life Luke
16:5819 19 verse 28 to verse 40 we learn
17:02about Jesus's entry into Jerusalem and
17:06the various reactions to it the passage
17:11emphasizes the importance of following
17:13God's
17:14instructions and not allowing not
17:17allowing the distractions that come from
17:20the enemy of our soul to hinder God's
17:24work God has always given you and me
17:27instructions always telling us to do
17:30things so let us explore for a moment
17:33the two disciples who obediently
17:35followed God
17:37instructions and contrast that with the
17:41responses of the owners of the donkey
17:44and the
17:45Pharisees so the first thing I want you
17:47to notice in the message here today on
17:50Palm Sunday number one when you look at
17:55uh the The Book of Luke
17:5719 one thing is very
18:01clear that we must always follow God's
18:04instructions even when your
18:08decision to do so is being
18:12questioned the Bible says that when
18:15Jesus had
18:17finished he then went to Jerusalem and
18:20while he was there Beth and Bethany at
18:24the Mount of olive the Bible says he
18:26sent two of his disciples two of his
18:27disciples now listen and he had 12
18:30disciples and he gave two of them an
18:33assignment and I believe in this room
18:35today and those of you are
18:37streaming God has given you an
18:39assignment if you're a disciple of
18:41Christ every one of us have an
18:44assignment there may be uh specific
18:48assignments and they may differ from
18:51each other but two of these disciples
18:53the Bible says that Jesus gave them the
18:56assignment and the assignment was to go
18:59into the next village where you will
19:02find a young
19:04donkey that has never been
19:06ridden never been
19:09used it's really unique how God did
19:14everything to redeem
19:16man that in order to bring us back into
19:19fellowship with him when Mary got
19:24pregnant she got pregnant to birth a
19:28human
19:30being and that uh
19:34pregnancy started without the seed of a
19:40human it was the Holy Spirit who visited
19:43this virgin a woman who was not
19:47touched by a
19:50man and she got pregnant so you know it
19:52messed up the
19:53world what are you talking about your
19:57girlfriend is pregnant
19:59and you talk about it's the Holy Spirit
20:02yeah
20:04right yeah
20:07really God chose a
20:10virgin and said I would let the seed of
20:13my
20:14word get into her human
20:18womb and create a human
20:21being here we find when Jesus now needed
20:26to ride a donkey into jerus Jalem he
20:30sent his disciples and he said I want
20:31you to go find me a young donkey one who
20:35nobody ever sat
20:39on I want anybody to use him or touch
20:43him and then Jesus says untie him untie
20:47him so the thing we understand is they
20:50followed an
20:52instruction are you following God's
20:54instruction for your
20:57life are you you are your eyes fixed on
21:01Jesus in such a way that when he tells
21:04you to do
21:05something but you're willing to go all
21:07the
21:08way even when you're going to be
21:11questioned because the Bible says they
21:13question Jesus said if anyone ask why
21:16you are doing this say to them the Lord
21:19needs
21:21it that's all he wanted them to say the
21:24Lord needs it sometimes you and I must
21:27understand as we're on this Faith
21:29Journey doing what God has called us to
21:31do people are going to question why are
21:34you doing
21:36that why are you walking in that calling
21:39why are you walking in that anointing
21:41and we've got to be bold enough to say
21:43to them the father wants me to do it God
21:46wants me to do it you may not understand
21:49the path that I'm taking in
21:51life but God wants me to do it so these
21:56two disciples were obedient to to God
21:59the second thing or obedient to Jesus I
22:01should say the second thing you need to
22:03understand here is that we should fix
22:05our eyes on Jesus and our Focus will be
22:09on the positive instead of the
22:12negative you see the disciples could
22:14have said wait a minute I'm going to go
22:17to the next Village get this young
22:21donkey and I'm going to watch this
22:24listen listen I'm going to untie him him
22:29we didn't buy him we didn't pay for it
22:33are you sending me to steal a donkey
22:36Jesus come on
22:38now they trusted they trusted that if
22:41God said or Jesus said you're going to
22:44find people asking you what are you
22:47doing say the master have need of
22:51it that that they will allow you to take
22:54it how many of us in life God will tell
22:57us to do certain things and we we're so
23:00negative we question everything cuz some
23:03of us we we we we we're using and please
23:06don't get this wrong I understand when
23:08it comes to life you have to use your
23:12intellect but when it comes to your
23:15spiritual walk you better lose
23:19that cuz he will tell you to do things
23:22that doesn't make
23:26sense I'm telling you he is there
23:29anybody you just wake up one day or you
23:31had a dream or whatever you know God
23:33told you to do something and man it's
23:37crazy what he told you you're afraid to
23:41tell
23:43somebody why I'm not going to do that
23:46that's stupid that's
23:48crazy just like me almost 40 years ago
23:52I'm in South Florida now 39
23:54years almost 40 years ago I went to a
23:58grocery store with no
24:02money
24:04seriously God told me we were broke had
24:07no money no food in the apartment and I
24:11prayed to God on that Friday night God
24:14you sent me to Florida and I don't have
24:18any money in this house I didn't want to
24:21come to Florida you said go to Florida
24:24and you said you shall supply my every
24:26need and I know you're not going to me
24:28down here to starve to
24:32death and I know this is seriously I
24:35said this I know you don't want me to
24:40steal so you're going to have to help a
24:42brother
24:43out I went to bed that Friday night
24:47Saturday morning I woke up God spoke to
24:49me and he told me to do something I
24:52didn't question it cuz listen to me when
24:55you have nothing to lose
24:59when you run out of options you going to
25:02try him you going to fix your eyes on
25:06him right and God said to me go get your
25:10groceries but I have no money he said go
25:13get your groceries true
25:16story and I told my wife we had no car
25:18nothing we
25:19walked I said we going to the grocery
25:22store and we walked to the grocery store
25:25we walked to the grocery store and as I
25:28was walking I'm telling you I was
25:30committed I knew God I knew it was not
25:34my mind I knew I did not have no ribs
25:36and jerk chck in the night before full
25:38my stomach and having nightmare I knew
25:41it was God God I know his voice he said
25:43my sheep knows my voice I knew it was
25:48God and he said go get your
25:51groceries walking into that grocery
25:53store cuz he said to these guys you go
25:56get that donkey and people are going to
25:58question you why you untying that donkey
26:02people going to question you you going
26:04to the grocery store in fact my wife was
26:06questioning
26:07me why you going to the grocery store
26:10why are you going I said I'm going
26:11because God told me that we going to get
26:13groceries do you have money no I don't
26:15you're lying to me only a fool would go
26:18to the grocery store without money and
26:20talk about he going to buy groceries and
26:23I was in that grocery store we got in
26:25there and she was behind me fussing this
26:28is that don't make no sense now we were
26:30just married two weeks two weeks two
26:34weeks two weeks I know she must be
26:38thinking God I married the biggest food
26:41in the world I know she was thinking
26:43that come on y'all ladies you know how
26:45you
26:46think and I'm going around every eye
26:51picking up stuff putting in the basket
26:54true
26:56story because God told me my eyes were
27:01fixed on what he told
27:05me he said I'm not a man that they
27:07should
27:09lie so I fixed my eyes on him and when
27:12we got to the
27:14cashier and there was three people in
27:17front of us and she was you know all all
27:20through the grocery store she's behind
27:22me and seriously and then when we got to
27:25the the cashier about third in line she
27:29listen this true story she looked at me
27:31she said I see
27:34outside that's my
27:36weakness God's my
27:38[Applause]
27:40witness she was like I ain't having it
27:45[Applause]
27:48today but you know
27:51what when you follow God's
27:55instruction no sooner
27:59bam the doors of wind Dixie was
28:03open this fellow walked
28:06up he said you Henry
28:09Fernandez I said yeah I
28:14am he said you know what I was
28:18home I was sleeping in my bed man and
28:22the Holy Spirit woke me
28:24[Music]
28:26up and he and he just told me to come
28:29here man he stretched his hands and all
28:33of a sudden I felt
28:36paper and I said I opened up I saw
28:40money man let me tell you something now
28:43I wasn't as polished as I am
28:45today I'm old school Pentecostal so you
28:49know I'm kind of polished now you know
28:51certain things I just won't do now but
28:53let me tell you something I went old
28:55school and wind Dixie that
29:01I went old school what there was no
29:06organ nobody playing I had me
29:09Church up in that grocery
29:13store and when the woman rang me up man
29:16and everything like that I had chain to
29:18take a cab
29:21home I lied not to you man I was sitting
29:24in the back of that cab and I looked at
29:27her and I I said man let me tell you
29:29something if I knew God was going to do
29:31it I was like George Jefferson back then
29:33I said if I knew God was going to do it
29:35I would have shop till I
29:39drop cuz I had
29:41changed I could have bought more stuff
29:44how many of us God is telling us to do
29:47things and we're doing it watch this
29:50conservatively listen you ought to
29:52thrust your faith in the word of
29:56God whatever God tells you to do just do
30:01it tell your neighbor just do it do it
30:06fix your eyes on
30:08him want you fix your eyes on him I
30:12promise you they did exactly that and
30:16the Bible says that while they were on
30:18tying the donkey the owner
30:21asked here comes the negative he said
30:26why are you doing that they answered
30:28exactly what God told them to do the
30:30Lord needs it then they led the donkey
30:33to Jesus watch this they led the donkey
30:37to Jesus they followed his
30:42instruction they could have taken the
30:45donkey they could have said well we
30:47going to have a joy ride
30:49today we going to do our thing they were
30:52so fixed on what Jesus told them they
30:55were fixed on the assignment that was
30:58was given to them and the Bible said
31:00they put on their clothes on its back or
31:03they put their clothes some of their
31:05clothes on the back of the donkey to
31:07help Jesus
31:08on and as they rode along the people
31:12spread their clothes which we know the
31:15palm branches also they spread it like
31:18what you see here because they fixed
31:20their eyes so much on
31:23Jesus that they said wait a minute we
31:26don't see the distraction of the world
31:29notice they did not even
31:33magnify who the donkey
31:36is it is so easy for God to give you
31:38prophetic word or to speak into your
31:40life and instead of magnifying him you
31:44magnify
31:48things you see this story could have
31:51highlight or make the donkey the issue
31:56the main subject the main subject here
31:59is
32:00Jesus the people saw him and then when
32:05Jesus started down the Mount of Olives
32:08the large crowd of disciples were happy
32:11praising God because
32:14all of the Miracles because all of the
32:17Miracles they had seen and they shouted
32:20here's what they shouted blessed is the
32:23king who comes in the name of the Lord
32:27peace in heaven and glory to God now
32:30watch this here comes the negativity now
32:33because if you're not careful every time
32:35you fix your eyes on Jesus there are
32:38going to be people were going to say who
32:42do you think you
32:43are people are going to say it doesn't
32:46take all of that here's what they said
32:49some of the Pharisees do you know who
32:51the Pharisees are these are not
32:54unbelievers these are supposed to be
32:56religious people
33:00you'll be shocked to see some of your
33:02greatest
33:04resistance some of your greatest
33:07attacks will not come from the
33:13unchurched it's the
33:16Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus
33:19teacher
33:21teacher make your disciples stop
33:26shouting
33:28make your disciples stop shout why would
33:32they be concerned about the
33:36noise you would think that here comes
33:40Jesus this triumphant entry that they
33:43would embrace the idea they questioned
33:46it Jesus please let those
33:51disciples stop shouting I don't want
33:55them to shout anymore cuz obviously it
33:57was annoying them you need to understand
34:00this the more you and I Proclaim Christ
34:04it's the more the haters of Christ are
34:07going to say stop all that
34:12noise stop all that hand
34:16clapping stop all that church
34:19music stop all that Jesus Christ
34:24name it hasn't
34:26changed
34:28stop that
34:30noise they questioned
34:33it even in the
34:36church they said tell your disciples
34:39stop the shout but Jesus answered and I
34:43close he said if they keep
34:50quiet in other words what Jesus was
34:53saying somebody or something is going to
34:57shout my name
35:02ah oh glory to God some somebody or
35:07something will shout my name Jesus says
35:10if they keep quiet these stones will
35:13start
35:15shouting he was saying you better be
35:17careful what you're asking for because
35:19if these people stop saying Jesus hosana
35:23to the king the stones are going to
35:26start doing it and let me tell you
35:28something that's why I encourage every
35:30believer do not let anybody suppress
35:33your praise don't let anybody stop you
35:36from glorifying magnifying God I don't
35:40care if they're uncomfortable with it
35:43clap your hands oh ye people make a
35:46Joyful Noise unto the Lord serve the
35:50Lord with gladness come before his
35:52presence with
35:56singing
35:59glory to
36:03God Jesus
36:06says if they stop crying if they stop
36:11shouting then the Rocks going to cry
36:15out and the reason why they could not
36:18stop
36:19shouting was because their eyes were
36:24fixed on
36:26Jesus when your eyes are on Jesus you no
36:30longer shout your
