0:14I want to bring our attention this
0:16morning to can you hear me
0:19perfect
0:21Luke's gospel chapter 24
0:25is how we're going to conclude
0:28this Resurrection celebration
0:36It Was Written in Luke 24 beginning at
0:39verse 1 the scripture says
0:43but on the first day of the week
0:47at early Dawn
0:49they went to the tomb
0:51taken the spices they had prepared
0:55and they found the stone rolled away
0:58from the tomb
1:00but when they went in
1:02they did not find the body of the Lord
1:06Jesus
1:07while they were perplexed about this
1:10behold two men stood by them in dazzling
1:14apparel
1:16and as they were
1:18frightened and bowed their faces to the
1:21ground the men said to them
1:24why do you
1:26seek the living
1:28among the Dead
1:31he's not here
1:33but as risen remember how he told you
1:36while he was still in Galilee
1:40that the son of man must be delivered
1:43into the hands of sinful men and be
1:46crucified
1:47and on the third day rise
1:52they remembered his word
1:56and returned to the tomb and they told
1:58all these things to the eleventh and all
2:03the rest and now it was Mary Magdalene
2:06and Joanna and Mary the mother of James
2:09and the other women
2:12with them who told these things to the
2:16Apostle but these words seemed
2:20to them as Idol
2:23Tale
2:24and they did not receive them
2:27verse 12 but Peter Rose and ran to the
2:30tomb
2:31stooping in and looking in
2:35he saw the linen closed by themselves
2:41and he went home marveling
2:44at what
2:45had happened father we thank you this
2:49morning that
2:51we're not celebrating something that is
2:54not a reality
2:58this morning
3:01it is in him
3:03Jesus Christ we live move and exist
3:06[Music]
3:08there are literally thousands streaming
3:11and people in this Auditorium
3:13who at the end of this service will now
3:16be faced with the realities of their own
3:18lives
3:20let something be said in this sermon
3:22that would give them hope
3:26let them see the resurrection of Jesus
3:29Christ more than just a story
3:33more than just something to celebrate
3:37but let it have a deeper meaning
3:39in their lives bless your word today
3:42and will forever give you the praise the
3:45honor and the glory for it in Jesus name
3:48amen can we give him praise
3:51[Applause]
3:54God bless you you may be seated in the
3:58presence of the Lord
4:04a lock took place
4:07in the last three and a half years
4:10of the life of Jesus
4:13a lot
4:15he spent those years teaching the
4:19principles of the kingdom of God as well
4:22as performing many miracles
4:26his theology
4:28disrupted the Norms of the religious
4:31institutions
4:33of his time
4:36and honestly
4:39they really didn't know
4:41what to do with him
4:44this Jesus was so different
4:48that what he was teaching and the
4:51Miracles that he was performing
4:54nobody has ever seen it before
5:00many of them
5:02they were a lot of strange and odd
5:05things about Jesus that caused his Fame
5:11to increase
5:14he was the number one viewed and talked
5:18about personality
5:19of his time
5:22the social media platforms of his time
5:26capitalized on his Fame making him the
5:30number one topic of discussion in The
5:34Villages and in the regions
5:38his Fame
5:40blew up
5:42they have never ever seen a man like
5:48Jesus
5:49Mark chapter 1 verse 28 it tells us the
5:54news about Jesus spread quickly
5:56throughout the entire region of Galilee
6:01the teachings of Jesus was so different
6:03from what they
6:05uh were teaching in those days that it
6:10literally became the conversation at
6:12almost every breakfast lunch
6:15and dinner table
6:17everybody was just talking about this
6:20Jesus
6:22and and you got to know that all
6:28all within
6:29three and a half years
6:33the debates were intense and raw
6:37and at times violent
6:41who is this kid on the block called
6:46Jesus of Nazareth
6:50and where did he get his boldness from
6:53to be teaching with such power who is
6:57this
6:58new kid Mark chapter 1 verse 27 and 28
7:02tells us the people who are all so
7:06amazed that they ask each other
7:10what
7:11is this
7:13a new teaching
7:15and with authority at that
7:19and he even gives orders to impure
7:22spirits and they obeyed him
7:25it blew their minds
7:28we have never seen a prophet or a priest
7:31ever command unclean spirits
7:34to be silent and they obeyed
7:37we have never witness a man walking on
7:41water we have never witnessed somebody
7:43blessing a simple lunch and feeding
7:47multitudes with it
7:49and we have never heard of such a gospel
7:53that God loves everyone no matter who
7:57you are no matter your color no matter
8:00your culture no matter your race
8:03they've never heard of such a gospel
8:06so everybody
8:09was totally shocked and Amazed by this
8:13new
8:14teaching
8:16the thing we must not forget is this
8:19Jesus kept telling them
8:22that he would be killed
8:25buried
8:27and raised from the dead and all the
8:29while he was teaching about the message
8:33of his father's Kingdom I want you to
8:36picture this
8:37he's a man on an assignment
8:42he's preaching he's performing Miracles
8:45but yet at the same time he's telling
8:48them I'm going to be killed I'm going to
8:51be handed over
8:53and I'm going to die
8:55and I'm going to be buried
8:57but I will come up out of the Grave
9:00triumphantly he was preaching that and
9:03it confused them wait a minute you've
9:06got so much power so much Authority and
9:09at the same time you're going to subject
9:11yourself
9:13to such evil
9:16Matthew 9 verse 35 tells us
9:19Jesus went through all the towns and
9:22Villages teaching in their synagogues
9:25proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom
9:29and healing every disease and sickness
9:35that was
9:37amazing to them
9:40he was put in the hospitals out of
9:42business
9:44he was disrupting the norm of the day
9:48and honestly he was put in the religious
9:53institutions
9:55out of business
9:58you have to understand that no one has
10:00ever seen anything like this before
10:05they have never seen anyone with such
10:07busy Ministry itinerary preaching in so
10:11many towns and Villages and in the
10:14synagogues talking about God's love and
10:18his forgiveness everybody wanted to hear
10:20everybody wanted to see and everybody
10:23wanted a miracle
10:26it
10:27disrupted the doctrinal teachings of the
10:32religious leaders
10:35it made them
10:38angry
10:40this is not the norm you were teaching
10:43something different from what we're
10:44teaching in the temple
10:47our message is in order to know God
10:50you've got to come through the priest
10:54you've got to make all these rituals and
10:57and fulfill all of these rituals and
10:59make these sacrifices and here's this
11:02new kid on the Block preaching that if
11:04any man go to the father he must come
11:07through me it disrupted their Norm
11:11and the religious leaders were angry and
11:14bitter
11:16because they've never heard such a
11:20teaching but honestly
11:22I have to tell you not everybody
11:27was nervous
11:29not everybody
11:31there are a few people to them the
11:34teachings of Jesus brought a new day
11:39it was a new day a new day for new
11:43opportunities
11:47Redemption Jesus opened up their eyes
11:50for them to see God the Father for who
11:53he is and not how the religious leaders
11:56of those days wanted them to interpret
11:59who God is ladies and gentlemen I have
12:03come to you today to say to you be
12:07careful of who you are following to get
12:11to Jesus
12:16there is only one way to God the Father
12:22listen all of the practices and and the
12:25rituals that we once performed Jesus
12:28came to cancel all of that because no
12:32longer would we need to bring an animal
12:34and kill it and sprinkle the blood on an
12:37altar they have to do all of that to get
12:39their sins forgiven I can just imagine
12:43how many in those days got tired of the
12:46old norms
12:48that were ineffective like some of you
12:50streaming and in this room today you're
12:53tired of religion the old Norm
12:56things that are no longer if
13:01you're searching for God
13:04and you're saying God you have to make
13:06yourself real to me this is the 21st
13:09century this is
13:112023 and I want to know you like the
13:14Apostle Paul that I may
13:17oh
13:20your resume
13:24just don't want to know you despite
13:27going to church and going through the
13:29rituals
13:30and want to know if you're really real
13:33people started to lose interest in
13:35church
13:36because they had to go through all of
13:39the spiritual rituals and practices
13:42in order to be in right standing with
13:44God
13:45and here comes Jesus
13:50with a new doctrine that says
13:53you no longer have to meet with the
13:56priests at confession
13:58you don't have to do that anymore in
14:00order to get your sins to be forgiven
14:03instead you can go directly to God the
14:06Father through Jesus Christ the son of
14:10the Living God
14:14you can just imagine the priests they
14:16were upset
14:18you mean to tell me
14:20we're not going to be in some little
14:22cubicle
14:24and people coming up and listening all
14:27of their sins and telling everything
14:30that they've done
14:32you mean to tell me you're putting us
14:34out of business we don't have a job
14:35anymore
14:37you mean to tell me that we can't get to
14:39hear the juicy news of people's
14:41situation
14:43you mean to tell me I won't find out
14:46who've been sleeping with who who've
14:48been lying who've been committing
14:50abortion who've been committing adultery
14:52you mean to tell me I don't get the
14:54that no more who've been stealing from
14:56the government who've been stealing from
14:57their brothers and sisters I mean they
14:59put the priests or Jesus put the
15:02priest's business out a business
15:06[Applause]
15:08bae
15:09for live it
15:12Jesus shut down the practices of those
15:14days
15:15but said you needed a mediator between
15:19man and God
15:21he changed it
15:23in John 14 verse 6 Jesus answered and he
15:27said I am the way who
15:30o oh my goodness
15:32I am the way and the truth and the life
15:34no man comes to the father except fruit
15:39no longer the priests you gotta go
15:42through Jesus somebody ought to give him
15:44a praise this morning
15:46you gotta go through Jesus
15:49tap your neighbor and say you got to go
15:51through Jesus
15:53come on tell somebody to stop telling
15:55the priest your problems
15:58tell it to Jesus
16:02Jesus is teachings
16:05let him to be the most
16:08popular
16:09yet Most Wanted Man
16:14of his time
16:17truly brought hope to the people
16:21he truly brought hope to the people of
16:23his time
16:25the sick
16:28we're being healed
16:30the spotlight and the reverence people
16:33once gave to religious leaders
16:37we're being redirected now to Jesus
16:42no longer
16:45to the religious leaders and the
16:47institutions
16:49they were
16:52living
16:55and everything Jesus told them
16:59literally happened
17:02he told them that he would be arrested
17:04and he was arrested
17:06he told them that he would be crucified
17:08and he was he told them that he was
17:11going to die and he died
17:16it was placed in a borrowed tomb never
17:19expected to be seen or heard from ever
17:23again
17:26the period from the crucifixion of Jesus
17:30to him being placed in a borrowed tomb
17:35left a huge hole
17:39in the believer's life
17:42please picture this
17:45you got sick and tired of the norm
17:49finally you got a breath of fresh air
17:57now
17:58we can experience the real power of God
18:02now we don't need to do all of these
18:04things in order to be in right-standing
18:06with God
18:08and all of a sudden
18:11the one in whom you believed in
18:14it's now been killed
18:17placed in a tomb and they sealed it
18:23huge yeah whole
18:26discouragement
18:30is it possible
18:31that what he said was not true
18:35how could it end this way
18:40many felt the unfailing love of God and
18:43His grace had instantly stopped it
18:47honestly felt like God disappeared for a
18:50moment from the Earth
18:53because Where's God
18:55his son the one who proclaimed that he
18:58was the son of the Living God was now
19:02killed and placed in a tomb
19:06and the Earth went silent
19:13everybody was concerned
19:16where's man's hope
19:19what are we going to do now
19:21how are we going to change our situation
19:24where are we going to find Hope
19:29and perhaps today
19:31you can relate to that
19:34perhaps you feel like God is absent from
19:38your life
19:40maybe you you feel like you had promises
19:44and you were living your dream and you
19:47believed in the power of God and you
19:50believed in the power of your future
19:51that God was going to do great things
19:53for you and and and and you did
19:55everything that you know possible to
19:58live this good life on the Earth but but
20:00but things begin to happen to you and
20:03you feel like God is absent from your
20:06life you feel like the presence of God
20:09has been taken away from you and every
20:12promise that he made to you has been put
20:15in a graveyard
20:19now you're questioning
20:21where is God
20:23where is God
20:27why am I getting up on this day
20:31experiencing pain in my body sickness
20:34and diseases why am I dealing with
20:38people hating on me for no reason why am
20:41I struggling financially why is my
20:44family so dysfunctional why can I find
20:47somebody to love me for who I am why do
20:51I constantly find myself in these
20:54dysfunctional relationship and why is my
20:57marriage not working and why is it it
21:00seems as if everything my hand stops
21:03there's no life in it
21:06and you're feeling
21:08like God
21:10has left you
21:13and you are barely
21:15existing can you imagine
21:17how those who believe that he was the
21:20son of God
21:22how they felt
21:25fat he was gone
21:29they saw
21:31them take Jesus off the cross
21:36and wrapped his body
21:40and took it to a tune
21:43and placed it in there
21:46and nothing was done
21:48didn't hear a movement
21:51then hear a sound
21:53they didn't hear the heavens or see the
21:55heavens open up they didn't hear God
21:58surely they were expecting God to send
22:02lightning and thunder and to move and to
22:04kill those soldiers and to show himself
22:07mightily after all that's his son after
22:11all he has all the power to destroy
22:14Humanity
22:16but God went silent
22:21could it be that God is silent in your
22:24life for a reason
22:27could it be that there's a new day
22:29coming in your life could it be that God
22:32has a set time to show up in your life I
22:36promise you if you keep on praying If
22:39You Keep On Believing you will have a
22:42resurrection day you will have a new day
22:49but you have to believe it
22:53sometimes life will present to us
22:55circumstances
22:57makes us feel
23:00my God you're not there
23:03some of you may feel that God's power
23:05has been hijacked
23:06and held hostage
23:10and somehow the principalities of the
23:11power of the air
23:13won't release the power of God to
23:15operate in you know in your life
23:17this is exactly how
23:19the people in those days felt
23:23Luke 24
23:26beginning at verse 1 it tells us
23:29that when the earth went silent
23:35Jesus
23:37was laid in the Tomb
23:40everybody went home
23:43because they thought that was it
23:46the religious leaders and the haters of
23:49the Gospel
23:50loved the moment
23:53they loved the fact
23:56that man's only hope
23:58I've been locked away
24:01so now we can get back to business
24:04now we can get them back into the temple
24:07now we can control them with our rituals
24:12now we are in charge
24:16now we are leaders now we are the
24:20oppressors
24:23but according to the Bible
24:27early that morning
24:34early that morning according to the
24:36Bible
24:37some women went to the Tomb of Jesus
24:42and these women meant business
24:46they didn't go to the Tomb of Jesus
24:48according to the Bible empty-handed just
24:50like I'm just going to go there just to
24:51see and just look at the tomb no they
24:54went prepared because they watched this
24:57by virtue of them taking the spices
25:01you have to understand what rituals they
25:03have to go through with the dead these
25:06women watch this their goal was we want
25:09to touch his body
25:12we're going to rub spices down on this
25:16Jesus and when they got to the tomb
25:19all of a sudden the Bible says they
25:23notice that the stone was rolled away
25:27that
25:29a new
25:32death that changed the outcome of the
25:35story now the women they were not there
25:38they were not there they just showed up
25:41and saw the stone froze away what an
25:45amazing story that what God is getting
25:48ready to do in your life you may not be
25:52there when he turned things around
25:54but I promise you when you open your
25:57eyes next all you're going to see it's a
26:00new day it's a brand new season it's a
26:03brand new opportunity why because God
26:06will turn your back around and make it
26:10for your good and somebody ought to give
26:12him praise in the house this morning
26:16it's a new day
26:19so the women they came and
26:22the Bible says early that morning
26:25when they saw
26:27the stone
26:30moved away from the entrance of the Tomb
26:33and this is what really got me you got
26:36to notice this and I'm trying to close
26:38it with this
26:39you got to notice this they
26:42they walked up to the tomb
26:45and as they were getting up to the tomb
26:49they noticed the stone was rolled away
26:52what would make some women
26:56see something so odd
26:59and still want to approach it
27:06don't know about you
27:09I've been a pastor
27:11for 32 years now if I go to a cemetery
27:18and I see it open
27:22I'm not going towards it but I am
27:26running away from do I have a weakness
27:29out there
27:32it gets even more spookier than this
27:34work with me here
27:37on their way
27:39towards the entrance
27:42the Bible says
27:44Angels approached them
27:46dazzling clothes
27:49had a conversation with them watch this
27:52and said to the women women you love
27:55this I don't know I understood my own
27:58Theory it wasn't men
28:00all women
28:04showed up and these sisters did the
28:07unthinkable
28:09when the angel said to them
28:12why why seek the living
28:19among the Dead
28:22I'm coming back to that why seek the
28:25living among the dead and then the Bible
28:28said after the angel told them that
28:31these sisters were more curious
28:35read the text
28:37didn't walk away and say okay fine well
28:39he guessed they said he's risen no they
28:41said I got to see it for myself
28:44all those sisters walked right into the
28:48tomb and according to the word of God
28:50when they walked in they actually saw
28:54the linen the grave clothes
28:57empty they walked in now remember I'll
29:02be running if I was on the outside
29:04they got it in it
29:08to witness it for themselves and they
29:11left
29:12telling the news how does that relate to
29:15you and me today
29:18first of all
29:19thank God that these ladies
29:22went to the gravesite site if you will
29:25and
29:26thank God their intention was to perform
29:29the rituals on the body of Jesus okay he
29:32was resurrected thank God we saw that
29:36but what did the angel say to them
29:40and that's a question I want to ask you
29:42today
29:43it's a new day
29:46you have got to start doing things
29:48differently in your life
29:50if you have the resurrection power of
29:52God in your life the Bible says the
29:55angel said to them
29:57why seek for living
30:01among the Dead
30:02here's my question to you
30:05why are you still going to dead places
30:11looking for
30:14the hope that you're looking for
30:20some of you are constantly going back to
30:23dead places
30:25where all God is showing you is the
30:27fragments of what you had hoped for and
30:30God is saying leave it it don't belong
30:32there anymore you can't find
30:37the Dead
30:40stop going back to unproductive places
30:49[Music]
30:55then the Bible says
30:58they laughed
31:01telling everybody
31:04about what they just saw
31:09it's a new day
31:12the day you have an encounter with Jesus
31:15Christ
31:17and he starts showing you
31:20you are bigger than the grave clothes
31:24of poverty the bigger than the grave
31:26clothes of lack bigger than the grave
31:29clothes of your past mistakes
31:33that you no longer belong to places
31:37that no longer serve you any purpose
31:42work with me here
31:46the day you experience that
31:49that is the day you'll begin to open
31:51your mouth
31:53and you will tell others
31:55I don't care what day you're in
31:59I don't care how you feel God is silent
32:01in your life
32:03I don't care how bad religion has hurt
32:06you I don't care how confused you are by
32:09how we religious people act I don't care
32:12how you're discouraged in your faith
32:17that when you have a personal Encounter
32:19With Jesus Christ
32:23it's a new day
32:26come on now it's a new day
32:29somebody shout it's a new day
32:32come on say it again it's a new day
32:36the resurrection power of Jesus Christ
32:39[Music]
32:40gives us hope
32:43that we can walk in a new day not a
32:48shame
32:50but a New Day of Victory about your
32:52heads with me please
32:54those of you are streaming at home
32:56[Music]
32:59I hope today
33:01that you'll begin to accept the free
33:03gift that God gives every one of us and
33:06that is access
33:08to him
33:10and our lives can be different
33:13yes your life can be different
33:15[Music]
33:18it's not about religion man
33:21it's not about dead things that don't
33:23work no more
33:25how curious are you are you like these
33:28women are you curious enough to go and
33:32literally witness that some of the
33:34things that used to serve a purpose in
33:37your life no longer serve no purposes
33:39and it's okay what God is trying to tell
33:41you welcome to the new day
33:44welcome to the new day of Hope
33:47[Music]
33:50that what you thought you lost
33:53is a big game for you
33:56father I pray this morning
34:00those who are streaming and in this room
34:03as they listen to the message it's a new
34:05day
34:07that they will make a decision to live
34:09in the new day
34:11that they will forget those things which
34:13are behind and reach for the new day
34:15reach for the things in you that they'll
34:19be curious enough father to get closer
34:21to the Cross curious enough to get
34:24closer to the resurrection power of your
34:27son Jesus Christ
34:30and no longer will they attach
34:32themselves with religion
34:34the longer will they
34:37look to people and
34:40the things we do
34:42as a way to judge you to determine
34:45whether or not you're worthy of their
34:46time
34:48but each man must come to the father
34:50through the son
34:53and that was the message Jesus preached
34:56and today I pray every person in this
35:00room will make a new commitment and say
35:03it's a new day of promise
35:06it's a new day to worship
35:08it's a new day to be committed to Jesus
35:10Christ it's a new day to let go of the
35:14old
35:14[Music]
35:16hold on to the new bless them I pray
35:22and Lord for the remaining days of
35:24Passover
35:26I pray that they will truly experience
35:29the resurrection power of your son in a
35:32mighty way that not only will they
35:34listen to other people's testimonies but
35:37they'll have testimonies of Their Own
35:41I thank you
35:43things will be different from them now
35:46and as they stand everybody please stand
35:51and as they stand in this Auditorium
35:54changing their position
35:57living in the moment
36:00knowing that whom the sun set free
36:05Hallelujah it's free indeed
36:09no longer bound to the things of this
36:13world but they're free to live the good
36:16life
36:17free to have hope in Jesus Christ free
36:20to have surely goodness and mercy to
36:24follow them for the rest of their lives
36:26Freedom Make a Joyful Noise unto the
36:29Lord and to serve him with gladness
36:36it's a new day
36:38I thank you for their participation in
36:41the service today
36:43thank you that you're going to take us
36:45home safe
36:46and for the rest of this day with our
36:50families and our friends we will walk in
36:52the newness of your word bless your
36:54people all week
36:56I pray in the mighty name of Jesus and
36:59as I release them I declare over their
37:02lives that faith in God will always move
37:06mountains out of their lives in Jesus
37:10name walk in the new day everybody God
37:13bless you God bless you
