0:12and we're going to be reading verse

0:15three.

0:18Psalm 56 verse three.

0:23On this Resurrection Sunday

0:28I think we have to

0:29really ask ourselves

0:32what's the meaning of this day?

0:35How does the resurrection apply

0:41to our lives?

0:44Especially when you're in a society

0:46today where

0:48we're in the

0:50midst of a war in the Middle East

0:54that is uncertain.

0:57When prices are so high

1:00families are struggling

1:03couples are struggling

1:06we're masking our pain

1:10with external things, the clothes we

1:14wear

1:16the cars we drive the houses we live in

1:21the post we put on social media

1:26because we want people to think we're

1:27okay.

1:31When in reality many of us are afraid.

1:36We are.

1:38And for some of us who are people of

1:39faith

1:41we we tend to

1:43you know, try to

1:45make it look like, you know it's only

1:50us and God exist in the world.

1:54Not understanding there's a bunch of

1:56unbelievers

1:59that the gospel

2:01must be preached so that they would

2:05believe.

2:08And so I don't know who's in this room,

2:11who's streaming, who's in the lobby, the

2:12overflow.

2:14I don't know who

2:15woke up this morning or started out 2026

2:19afraid.

2:22Let's look at what the psalmist wrote in

2:25Psalm 56:3. He says

2:28When I am afraid

2:32I put

2:34my trust

2:36in you.

2:39When I feel overwhelmed

2:41when I feel like I'm losing it, when I

2:43feel like God, I don't know what's

2:45happening in my life, in my home, in my

2:49business.

2:52I don't know what's happening in the

2:54world. I don't know what's going to

2:55happen in America. When I am afraid, I

2:58put my trust

3:01in God. Let's pray. Father

3:04I thank you

3:07for the power of your resurrection.

3:10Thank you that what looked like defeat

3:13became victory for all of us.

3:17We thank you

3:18that even when life doesn't make sense

3:22we can find clarity in you.

3:25Open our hearts today to understand

3:28not just the story of the resurrection

3:33but the responsibility and revelation

3:36that it brings.

3:38Strengthen our faith.

3:40Help us to stabilize our emotions

3:45and align our lives with your will. Use

3:48me in a powerful way today to deliver

3:50this word

3:52in Jesus' name. Amen. Come on, let's

3:55give him one more praise before you're

3:56seated.

3:57>> [applause]

3:58>> And you may be seated

4:00in the presence of the Lord. I don't

4:02have long to preach this sermon.

4:06So I want you to pay it close attention

4:09to where God wants to take us today.

4:13If I will, let me use the subject

4:16titled even when it doesn't make sense.

4:24Even when it doesn't make sense. That it

4:29has to do with your situation.

4:33That it has to do with your uncertainty,

4:38wherever you are physically, mentally

4:40right now. Even when it doesn't make

4:43sense

4:44even when it doesn't make sense, what

4:47are you going to do?

4:49Recently I came across a

4:51thought-provoking

4:52statement and I'd like to read it to

4:54you.

4:56The statement says

4:59it doesn't have to make sense to anyone

5:02else.

5:03If it makes you happy

5:05that's all that matters.

5:08None of us are getting out of here

5:10alive.

5:12So you might as well

5:14do

5:16what you want.

5:18At first glance when I read this, it

5:21sounds liberating.

5:24But there's a dangerous flaw in that

5:29thinking, that mindset.

5:31When you read the entire

5:34uh statement

5:37at first you would think that, wait a

5:40minute

5:42life won't make sense.

5:44But you got to

5:46choose to be happy.

5:49Because that's the most important thing.

5:51You have to create your whole your own

5:54happiness.

5:57But then it says

5:59none of us

6:00are getting out of here alive.

6:04That's a reality.

6:06Sometimes I think we're living our lives

6:09not understanding that

6:11it is appointed unto man once to die. We

6:15are all going to die. None of us are

6:18checking out of here alive.

6:21And then it says, so you might as well

6:24do what you want.

6:26I want to quickly share with you seven

6:28things that you need to think about on

6:30this resurrection day. Number one

6:34you are more

6:36than what you feel.

6:40I don't care how you feel this morning I

6:43don't care what you're going through

6:46because of the resurrection of Jesus

6:48Christ, you are more than what you feel.

6:52Feel depressed, feel like a failure,

6:54feel like things are not working in your

6:56favor. Well, Jesus went to the cross to

6:59pay it all

7:00to say it is finished. Scripture teaches

7:04us that we are three-part beings. One,

7:08we're spirit, soul and body.

7:11Paul tells us, may your whole spirit,

7:15soul and body be kept blameless.

7:20So because you are spirit, soul and

7:22body, it is your responsibility to make

7:25sure

7:26that when you're living in this body cuz

7:29you're a spirit, your your spirit came

7:31from God, listen, you are eternal you're

7:34an eternal being. Before you enter the

7:37earth your spirit existed in God.

7:41And he took your spirit and put it into

7:44a human body called a baby

7:47and you're you you've lived through life

7:50to the age that you are now but your

7:53body is temporary.

7:57You have a soul which is your mind and

8:00your will and your emotions which is

8:02reactive.

8:04You have a spirit which is eternal.

8:07That's why Ecclesiastes 12:7 tells us

8:11the dust returns to the ground and the

8:14spirit returns to God who gave it.

8:19So no matter how you're thinking, who

8:21you think you are you may be an atheist,

8:24you don't believe in God, you don't

8:25believe in Jesus, don't believe in all

8:27this church stuff. One thing for sure,

8:30none of us

8:32are leaving this place alive.

8:36Not one of us.

8:39And your body will return to the dust.

8:43Your spirit

8:45will return back to God. So while

8:48culture says do what feels good

8:53God is saying to you today live live

8:57what is eternal.

9:00At the end of the day

9:01you can have your debates, you can argue

9:04who's a Christian, who's not a

9:06Christian, is the church relevant, is

9:08Jesus this Jesus stuff relevant and so

9:11forth. You you you you can even

9:13discredit the world and you can say

9:15everybody in it is the devil and you're

9:17the only saint on the planet. You you

9:19can think all of that.

9:22But one thing's for sure

9:26your life is eternal and you're going to

9:28stand before an eternal God.

9:31Whether you believe Henry or not, you're

9:33going to stand before the God who took

9:35your spirit from himself and put it in

9:38the body you possess right now. And I

9:40don't care how much you dress it up, I

9:42don't care how much you fix it up

9:47it's going to die.

9:50THAT'S THE REALITY. AND SOMETIMES WE WE

9:53FORGET THAT JESUS CAME TO EARTH, God the

9:57Spirit came into a human body to walk

10:00through the earth to show you and I how

10:03to live and Jesus himself had to die.

10:08None of us

10:10are checking out of here alive.

10:13Point number two,

10:14when life doesn't make sense,

10:18keep trusting God.

10:20Let me just talk to some of you on this

10:23resurrection day, your spirit is down.

10:27And you're living in dysfunction and

10:29confusion.

10:31And you have more questions than

10:33answers.

10:34I'm telling you,

10:36when it doesn't make sense,

10:38when you can't make sense of what's

10:41happening around you,

10:44I'm telling you, keep trusting God.

10:47When you prayed and you didn't get the

10:49answer you wanted,

10:51on the job when when things are not

10:54working the way you wanted it to work,

10:57I'm telling you, when it doesn't make

11:00sense, when that relationship that

11:03you've invested in didn't work out to

11:06marriage,

11:08you dated the person

11:10hoping that one day

11:13you will

11:14build life with that individual. When it

11:16doesn't make sense,

11:18you got TO TRUST GOD. YOU CANNOT WALK

11:20AROUND AND SAYING EVERY MAN ON THE

11:22PLANET IS THE DEVIL. [clears throat]

11:26JUST BECAUSE five

11:28offended you.

11:31You cannot walk around

11:32and say these women are this and they're

11:35that just because

11:36you had a bad relationship with a few of

11:39them.

11:40You got to keep trusting God cuz you got

11:42to be honest, man.

11:43Many people are frustrated today. Why?

11:46Because we have worked hard. You've

11:48worked hard and sometimes

11:51where's my effort going?

11:53I'm not getting the results

11:56that I put in.

11:58You've been faithful to your family.

12:00You've been faithful to your friends.

12:01You've been faithful to your job and

12:04even you've been faithful to people who

12:06don't deserve your faithfulness.

12:11You have made wise decisions

12:14hoping they would yield good results,

12:17but it never did.

12:19You have stepped out in faith

12:22to date, to marry,

12:24to start that business.

12:27You've relocated to Florida. You've

12:28relocated to somewhere else. It didn't

12:31work out well. You've invested your

12:32money

12:35and you didn't make a profit.

12:38You have tried to do right by your

12:41family and your friends,

12:43but they too betrayed you.

12:45And yet life still doesn't make sense

12:49because you don't always get what you

12:51deserve.

12:53Do you think Jesus got what he deserved?

12:57And if you're a follower of Jesus

12:59Christ, you have to embrace the fact

13:01that this is a part of the process.

13:05We Christians need TO WAKE UP AND STOP

13:07BUYING INTO the lies of this

13:10emotionalism THAT WE'RE BUILT ON.

13:14THAT IF WE DON'T CLAP AND SHOUT AND GET

13:16EMOTIONAL, WELL, OUR FAITH IS NOT

13:18STRONG. CAN I JUST BE HONEST WITH YOU?

13:21THERE ARE TIMES

13:23WE DON'T FEEL like God is working it out

13:27for our good.

13:29There are times you're GOING TO GET UP

13:31AND YOU'RE GOING TO FEEL SICK. YOU'RE

13:32GOING TO FEEL LIKE THIS FAITH JOURNEY IS

13:35NOT WORTH IT ALL. CAN I HAVE SOME

13:37FAITHFUL HONEST PEOPLE in this room?

13:39THERE ARE TIMES YOU WANT TO walk away

13:41from God. Can I have some people who'll

13:43be honest?

13:45>> [applause]

13:48>> But even when it doesn't make sense,

13:51you have to trust God anyway. Proverbs

13:543:5 and 6 says, "Trust in the Lord with

13:56all of your heart."

13:59With with all of your not your emotions.

14:04Not how you feel.

14:07Trust the Lord with your heart.

14:11Trust him with your heart, not your

14:14understanding.

14:17You don't understand why people are

14:18doing what they do. You don't understand

14:20why society is so crazy. You don't

14:22understand WHY YOU'RE WORKING SO HARD

14:25AND YOU'RE NOT MAKING ENDS.

14:29Don't trust God with your understanding

14:32cuz if you do that, you're going to

14:34think there can't be a God.

14:39There's a God, he's so loving, while all

14:41these crazy stuff happening.

14:44While all these people doing these dumb

14:46stupid silly stuff.

14:48Right?

14:50Why would a man this week

14:52go in his bedroom, shot his wife three

14:55times,

14:58wrapped her up and put her in a bag, and

15:01went downstairs and slept?

15:09And you tell me we're not living in a

15:10dysfunctional world?

15:17Your own understanding.

15:19WHY ARE GOOD PEOPLE

15:22DYING

15:24AND BAD PEOPLE

15:26ARE living

15:28long?

15:30Forever

15:33and ever

15:35and ever.

15:38And you may not want to say it, but it's

15:39true. It seems if good people are dying

15:43quickly. Some of you have buried nice

15:46people.

15:47But my goodness, there are some people I

15:50want to say, "God, here's the address.

15:54Here's the phone number.

15:57Here's their social media page."

16:02Don't leave me on the stage by myself.

16:05You know a few people yourself. You want

16:08TO GO TO GOD, IF YOU'RE GOING TO KILL

16:10ANYBODY.

16:11See that one over there?

16:21But here's the thing that the Apostle

16:23Paul told us in Romans chapter 8:28, and

16:28this is hard for many of us to accept.

16:31He says, "All things

16:35Mhm.

16:36will work together for your good."

16:39The cross?

16:41The pain?

16:43The betrayal?

16:45HOW IS ALL OF THE STUFF THAT I'M GOING

16:48through going to turn out for my good?

16:52Point number three,

16:54in spite of the circumstance,

16:57serve God

16:58anyway.

17:01Here's the challenge for many of us.

17:03Even when it doesn't make sense, you

17:05ought to serve God anyway.

17:07Not because everything is working in

17:09your favor,

17:11but because he's still worthy of the

17:14praise.

17:16Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not grow

17:20what? Weary

17:21or tired, exhausted,

17:25in doing good.

17:27Keep doing good."

17:30The truth is, it seems as if the only

17:33way you can get by in society, you got

17:36to be crooked.

17:40No, it It seems as if evil crooked

17:42people

17:43are getting by.

17:46You got to do crazy stuff to get

17:48promoted. You got to do crazy stuff

17:52to be recognized.

17:54But the Bible says, "Don't get tired

17:57of Don't get tired of taking care of

18:01people

18:02even when they

18:04despitefully use you

18:07>> [applause]

18:09>> and say all manner of evil against you.

18:13Don't get tired of taking CARE OF YOUR

18:15CHILDREN THAT GOD HAS PUT in your care

18:18even when they are disrespectful.

18:24Don't get tired OF RESPECTING THE BOSS

18:28ON THE JOB WHEN YOU KNOW THE DEVIL HAS

18:32HIRED them to test you.

18:36>> [applause]

18:36>> Don't get tired.

18:40Don't get tired of feeding people

18:44who's got a knife behind their back

18:47ready to cut you.

18:50Don't get tired.

18:53Because if you only serve God when life

18:56feels good,

18:58then you'll miss

19:00what God is doing in the struggle for

19:03you. Point number four, the resurrection

19:06proves the process can be successfully

19:11completed. Some of you are questioning,

19:13can I really live this Christian walk

19:16faithfully? Yes, you can.

19:19Yes, you can. The word became flesh.

19:22Jesus

19:23became God in the flesh

19:27to walk through the earth,

19:29was subjected to all the problems you

19:32and I are dealing with today

19:35to prove to us that yes, you can

19:37successfully go through life and

19:40complete the process and win. I know

19:44many of you right now, you're thinking,

19:47"Yes, I have lived faithfully.

19:49You You I've endured the pressure.

19:52I've stayed committed to to God, but you

19:55have to do it through criticism,

19:57betrayal, rejection, pain, and death.

20:03You know the problem with some of us as

20:04Christians?

20:05We're too much in the flesh.

20:08So what if people criticize you?

20:12Do Do you not know that you cannot

20:15control what somebody

20:17says about you?

20:20The question is, what do you think about

20:22yourself?

20:25>> [applause]

20:26>> Because their words should not define

20:28who you are.

20:31Don't be so sensitive

20:34that you lose your salvation because

20:36someone said something bad about Jesus

20:38himself,

20:39who had THE POWER TO SHUT EVERYTHING

20:42DOWN,

20:44allowed himself to be mocked.

20:48These people who are powerless when it

20:51came to God.

20:53And he endured THE CROSS

20:56TO FINISH HIS FATHER'S will on the

20:58earth.

20:59And how dare us as Christians get edgy,

21:03ready to fight, ready to argue, ready to

21:05post stuff on social media just to get

21:08back on people. You've got to maintain

21:11your Christ-like kingdom citizen

21:14attitude.

21:16>> [applause]

21:19>> Point number five,

21:21don't let your feelings

21:24control your faith.

21:27Many believers are stuck because they

21:29are living by feelings instead of faith.

21:34You're living by your feelings.

21:37It's how I feel.

21:39So I'm going to react THAT WAY.

21:42WHAT WHAT DOES THE WORD OF GOD says

21:44about your situation?

21:46DO YOU NOT know in the end you are a

21:49winner? You're more than a conqueror.

21:51BUT JESUS ON THE CROSS, HE SAID, "IT IS

21:54FINISHED."

21:56THAT MEANS THE STRUGGLE that you're

21:58going through, he paid the price for it.

22:02He paid the price for it. Second

22:04Corinthians 5:7, it says, "We walk by

22:06faith, not by sight."

22:09I don't care what you see in the

22:10natural, you're out to walk by faith.

22:13Your feelings will tell you, "Quit.

22:16Quit that job.

22:18Quit that relationship.

22:21Quit, you know, you don't

22:23You know God spoke to you about moving

22:25or doing something or investing. Your

22:27spirit will tell you, "Quit."

22:30But are you going to go by your feelings

22:32or what God told you?

22:35Your spirit will tell you, "Give up.

22:37IT'S NOT WORKING OUT." Some of you

22:39should HAVE BEEN MUCH FURTHER THAN YOU

22:41ARE RIGHT NOW, BUT THE PROBLEM IS YOU

22:43HAVE A QUITTING SPIRIT.

22:46You don't KNOW HOW TO SUFFER LONG.

22:52ANY LITTLE BIT OF PRESSURE, YOU'RE

22:54QUITTING.

22:58YOU GOT A NEW JOB PAYING YOU GOOD MONEY,

23:01AND BECAUSE THEY said something you

23:05didn't like,

23:08you going to quit.

23:11Cuz you've told yourself, "I got me a

23:12degree. I can get me another job." Not

23:14knowing the devil is setting you up to

23:16sabotage your future.

23:19>> [applause]

23:22>> So for the next 10 years, you'll be

23:24working at eight different places,

23:28not building a good

23:30reputation on your resume.

23:33Quit.

23:35Some of you, "Well, I want me a husband.

23:37I want me a wife." You know, and so

23:39forth.

23:40You date 3 months,

23:43then you quit.

23:48Some of you in marriage,

23:51quit.

23:53Got mad, "I can't take this no more."

23:54How long you've been married? 3 years.

23:59You're still on honeymoon.

24:03You're still on honeymoon.

24:06You haven't been to hell yet.

24:10Okay, let me shut that down.

24:15>> [laughter]

24:19>> We quit too easily.

24:24And that's why we're not getting

24:25anywhere. What if Jesus had said, "No.

24:30Y'all people are too horrible, man.

24:33>> [laughter]

24:34>> Y'all people are crazy. I'm not doing

24:35this God."

24:37If he went to the father, "I ain't doing

24:39this."

24:41No, but he stayed the course.

24:44Your spirit is telling you, and I think

24:46that's what God is saying to you today,

24:48"Keep going.

24:50Keep trusting in God. Stay the course.

24:53Don't you quit. Especially if you're a

24:55Christian, don't you quit.

24:59Is it going to get worse? Absolutely.

25:02And this IS WHERE THE RESURRECTION POWER

25:04OF JESUS CHRIST SHOULD COME ALIVE IN

25:06YOU. I DON'T CARE HOW TOUGH IT GETS IN

25:09THIS WORLD.

25:11You are to live for Jesus.

25:13You are to serve him until you die."

25:17Point number six,

25:19Jesus stayed focused on his assignment,

25:23so can you.

25:26Jesus is our ultimate example. Yes, he

25:28is.

25:30He faced opposition from the world,

25:32religious leaders, even those

25:35close to him.

25:37The opposition came from the world, the

25:40unchurched.

25:42And it came from the religious leaders.

25:45Let me talk to you church people for a

25:47minute.

25:48You're not reading your Bible, and you

25:50don't understand the life of Christ and

25:53what he did

25:54to give us hope that when things don't

25:57make sense, we can rely on him, on his

26:00character, and if we follow it, we'll

26:02make it.

26:03We will have resurrection power in our

26:06own lives.

26:07Because here is Jesus. You would think

26:11he came, he demonstrated to the

26:13believers and to the leaders, the

26:16religious leaders, that he was the

26:18Messiah, and they still didn't believe

26:20in him.

26:23He had the last supper. We demonstrated

26:25that in the play on Sunday on Excuse me,

26:28Friday.

26:29And we saw Jesus with his 12 disciples.

26:3312 people sitting at the table with him,

26:36and one betrayed him.

26:40And because you got somebody who went to

26:42lunch with you, betrayed you, you are

26:44mad. It happened to Jesus.

26:50It

26:51Can I just be honest with you? And And

26:54And some of you use this as a license to

26:56discredit the church.

26:59When someone in the church hurts you,

27:04"Church is this. Church is that." Are

27:06you reading your Bible?

27:09Who offended Jesus? Who kissed him and

27:12sold him out?

27:16It wasn't somebody from the streets.

27:21But we all have to understand this as a

27:22family. Those of us who are people OF

27:25FAITH, NOT EVERYBODY in the kingdom take

27:29their medicine.

27:33>> [applause]

27:33>> They're sick.

27:39They're not fully delivered yet.

27:42But you shouldn't use that

27:45to say I'm not going to serve God.

27:47I'm going to walk away from the faith.

27:50Jesus never Don't you lose your focus. I

27:53don't know who I'm talking to. I believe

27:55this is prophetic. If you think you have

27:58seen tough times,

28:01you better be ready for what's coming.

28:05AND IF YOUR FAITH IN JESUS IS NOT SOLID,

28:11THE STORMS OF LIFE

28:14WILL CAUSE YOU TO WALK AWAY FROM THE

28:16FAITH.

28:17But you stay focused. Finally, number

28:19seven,

28:21surrendering to God

28:23pays off.

28:25Yes, it does.

28:27THE RESURRECTION WAS NOT JUST ABOUT what

28:30Jesus did, IT WAS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED

28:34when a life is fully surrendered to God.

28:39And Jesus said one of the most powerful

28:42statements ever recorded in the

28:44scripture.

28:45In Luke 22:42, here's what he said, and

28:48I love this. Please work with me here.

28:50This This This This is what he said. It

28:53came from his own mouth.

28:55He said, watch this, to show you that as

28:57a Christian, you're going to live in

29:00pain. You're going to encounter moments

29:03where you're GOING TO QUESTION, "GOD,

29:06WHY?

29:07WHERE ARE YOU? WHY ME?"

29:11JESUS SAID, "If you, God, are willing,

29:17take this cup

29:19away from me. Take this problem. Take

29:21this situation. Take me out of America.

29:23Take me out of this dilemma. Take me out

29:25of this relationship. Take me out of

29:26this financial crisis. Take me out of

29:29this situation that I'm in, this legal

29:31case.

29:32If you're willing,

29:34take this cup away from me. However,

29:36here's submission."

29:40And we are so far from that as a people.

29:45He said, "However,

29:48not my will.

29:51It's not what I want,

29:53but let your will be done. If you permit

29:57[clears throat] me to go through this,

30:00let your will be done."

30:02See, that's the key to resurrection

30:05power.

30:06He surrendered, so can you.

30:10HE HUMBLED HIMSELF, SO CAN YOU.

30:13HE STAYED OBEDIENT, so can you. Because

30:17Paul says, "He humbled himself,

30:20therefore God exalted him." If you could

30:24just humble yourself,

30:26get out of your feelings,

30:28and stop thinking that you're in control

30:31of your life,

30:33cuz honey, let me tell you something.

30:35I don't care how highly you think of

30:37yourself, I don't care how much stuff

30:40you have achieved, one event in life,

30:44just it just Take one.

30:47Will humble you to let you know without

30:50God, you are absolutely

30:53nothing.

30:54>> [applause]

30:55>> Oh, somebody ought to give God a praise.

31:00So, as I close,

31:02>> [applause]

31:03>> here's the reality about the

31:05resurrection.

31:08Yes,

31:09none of us

31:11are getting out of here alive

31:13physically.

31:15But because of Jesus,

31:17your spirit lives on.

31:20Your purpose matters.

31:22Your obedience has eternal impact.

31:27That's why in John 11:25,

31:31He says, "I am the resurrection,

31:35and I'm the life."

31:37You see, the only disturbing part of the

31:39statement I read before,

31:41and I wanted them to put it on the

31:42screen.

31:44The only disturbing part of that

31:46statement that bothered me,

31:49and I want you to hear me. I don't know

31:50who God is talking to.

31:53There's a part of this statement

31:57that really didn't sit well with me. Cuz

31:59when I read it, it doesn't have to make

32:01sense to anyone else. If it makes you

32:05happy,

32:06that's all that matters.

32:08None of us are getting out of here

32:09alive. The part that bothered me was,

32:13"So, you might as well

32:16do

32:18what you want."

32:21Oh,

32:23so that's how you're going to live now?

32:27Wait a minute. That's how you're going

32:28to live now?

32:31You're not going to live

32:32on purpose?

32:34I'm going to live

32:36doing what I want?

32:39Just going and coming and waking up

32:42every day,

32:44not recognizing that none of us are

32:47leaving this place alive?

32:50So,

32:52I can turn my back on God?

32:55The invitation to say, "Come,

32:58cast your cares and your burdens on me.

33:02Let me rule and control your life."

33:05So, that's how you're going to do life

33:06now?

33:08Where you're going to say,

33:10"I'm going to do what I want.

33:12I don't need to read the Bible.

33:15I don't need to pray. Oh, I can do I

33:18don't even believe in God.

33:21I don't have to go to church.

33:25You know, I don't have to do I don't

33:27have to support the church financially.

33:29I I am my own man and woman. I do what I

33:33want.

33:36I drink, I curse, I swear.

33:39It's my body my body.

33:42I do what I want. [clears throat]

33:45So, that's how we're going to live life

33:46now?

33:50Here's the danger with that.

33:54Jesus showed us that after death,

33:58there's a resurrection.

34:01And I'm telling you, I will forever say

34:03this until the day he takes me out of

34:06here.

34:08He's not forcing any one of us to serve

34:11him.

34:14Please don't let preachers make it look

34:16like God

34:19is all in himself,

34:21and he's petty.

34:23He's insecure.

34:26Where if you don't serve him, he gets

34:29mad

34:30and angry,

34:33and you always have to

34:35praise him.

34:37He's not insecure in who he is.

34:41Scripture says, "It is in him you live,

34:45move,

34:46and exist."

34:49All of us, we are absolutely

34:52useless

34:55without him.

34:57>> [applause]

34:58>> Completely.

35:03So, here's the invitation I want to give

35:04you with your bow. If you could just bow

35:06your heads for a moment. No one looking

35:08around please.

35:10And if you could just work with me, I'm

35:12closing,

35:13and I know everybody wants to get out of

35:14here.

35:16But I want to pray for

35:18someone who, honestly,

35:21you've been living your life your way.

35:27I don't care if you're in this building,

35:28in the overflow, streaming. You've been

35:31living your life your way.

35:33Can I ask you to stop doing that as of

35:35today?

35:38It is not going to end up pretty.

35:42You will not win.

35:47Trust me.

35:51You have an appointment with death,

35:55and you better be careful how you're

35:57living your life today.

36:01The resurrection of Jesus Christ gives

36:03us all hope right now

36:07that we can come alive in him

36:10even when life doesn't make sense.

36:14It made sense to Jesus. That's why he

36:17paid it all.

36:19It made sense to him. That's why he died

36:21on the cross. It made sense to him

36:23because he knew

36:25it was going to be a resurrection.

36:28Would you invite him in your life right

36:30now?

36:31And if that's you, you're not born

36:33again,

36:35the Bible says you confess him, not

36:37religion.

36:38I'm not giving you an invitation to

36:39religion, to a pastor, to Charisma, or

36:42or some movement. It's a relationship

36:45with the God who created you.

36:47That's you today, and you'd like to give

36:49your life to him.

36:51Do me a favor. Would you stand where you

36:53are? No embarrassment. You say, "Pastor,

36:56I don't want to live my life anyway

36:59the way I want to live it." God bless

37:02I want to do it God's way. Come on.

37:04Don't be embarrassed.

37:06I feel there are more people in the

37:08room. Don't be embarrassed.

37:28>> I want to live for God, even in the

37:29balcony. Now, here's what I want you to

37:31do. It's very simple. We're going to

37:33join in

37:35and say the sinner's prayer with you.

37:37But after the sinner's prayer, here's

37:39what I want you to do. There's a QR code

37:41they're going to put on the screen. Want

37:43you to scan it because we really want

37:45you to go to a survival class. We call

37:47it a discipleship training course for

37:49you to survive your faith journey.

37:51And then most importantly, read your

37:53word,

37:55pray every day,

37:57go to church.

37:59You're more than welcome to come back

38:00here if you're not a part of our church.

38:02And make sure you stay with positive

38:04people and grow your faith. Let's say

38:07together. Say, "Lord Jesus,

38:10I am a [music] sinner.

38:12I repent of my sins.

38:14I embrace the free gift of salvation.

38:19I confess with my mouth

38:22the lordship of Jesus Christ,

38:25and I believe I'm born again

38:28in Jesus' name."

38:30Now, Father, we thank you.

38:32Thank you

38:33that your people

38:36heard your word today.

38:39I believe the Holy Spirit is

38:41speaking and ministering to many of

38:44them.

38:46Thank you for their willingness to

38:49surrender

38:50and turn their lives over to you.

38:53Thank you for their salvation.

38:56Now, I pray God that you'll continue to

38:58bless,

38:59and anoint, and strengthen your people.

39:03And we'll forever give you the praise,

39:06the honor, and the glory
