3:50we got an assignment we are here on
3:52assignment and we are going to try to

4:13years that's a long time lord Jesus
4:15we've been happily married

4:30single than to be married and wish you
4:33were single all the single people say
4:40yay one of the only reasons why I really
4:43wanted to Endeavor to get married
4:46because man I I I I you wanted sex I
4:51wanted sex I wanted I want live right he
4:55I wanted to live right I wanted to smash

5:12hold out and believe in God and you
5:15didn't try you didn't even try and she
5:18wouldn't give me none you didn't try I
5:20was saved Sanctified and full of
5:23something and it wasn't the Holy Ghost
5:25he did not try we got together in
5:28January and he put the Press on me to
5:31get married in April so we ELO and okay
5:36we didn't date we were friends we've
5:38been friends since I was 14 I met when I
5:40was 16 years old he pressed me January
5:45then April we were married cuz he was
5:48look at it look at it
5:51well this is true can I say so June is
5:56the greatest month well the best month
6:00we be good month because my birthday is
6:02in June and then our second our second
6:05wedding was in June so it is so we got a
6:09lot to share we got to hurry up but I
6:11want to give this one scripture and I
6:13want to talk to you a little bit about
6:14pre- understanding so I got you singles
6:16we going to have we got you we got you
6:18we got to hurry up we got to hurry up
6:19though so pre- understanding is very
6:21important to me I know this is family
6:24month and you're going to hear probably
6:26the same scriptures you know all month
6:29and it's okay but let me let you know
6:32something that the word of God is
6:34inexhaustible you have to say that one
6:36more time the word of God is
6:37inexhaustible it is always breathing it
6:40is always feeding you more Revelation
6:43over and over again and unfortunately
6:47when you hear certain things that you
6:48have heard before we have a tendency to
6:51say oh I know that I know heard that
6:54before well to us you haven't heard it
6:57until you can perfect it and performance
7:00and then teach it and then teach it and
7:03let me see the fruit of it because a lot
7:06of people can teach it but have no
7:08fruit and a lot of people can quote it
7:11but have no fruit and so I like to see
7:13the fruit of it so when you hear
7:15scripture I'm asking you to lean in
7:17because you have a tendency with your
7:19pre- understanding that cause
7:21limitations to say what God can do with
7:24that same scripture that you have heard
7:26before all right and then if you would
7:28look at Hebrews chapter 2 verse one I
7:31want to read Hebrews chapter 2 go ahead
7:34say it I know you you know how I know
7:36God loves coffee I know he was going to
7:38say that he been saying that for 40
7:44years because Hebrews yeah to do oh it's
7:49it's Play It's play even here it's play
7:52don't say it yet okay so Hebrews 2 and
7:56one it says therefore we must give the
7:59more Earnest heed to the things we have
8:01heard lest we drift away and you may be
8:05saying well what are we talking about
8:07here and why are we sharing this what
8:09the scripture says that there are some
8:10things that you have heard that you must
8:12give more Earnest heed to wow and most
8:15of you in here have probably heard so
8:17many different messages on family and
8:21your problem is not information but it's
8:24application and sometimes you can hear
8:27something and you just refuse to apply
8:30it to your life because of how you feel
8:33and you don't even realize that you were
8:35drifting away from it God gave me a
8:39great example of this drift you got God
8:42yeah I got this from God sure from God
8:44it is it's from God always use God I got
8:46I know but you do it so I thought I
8:48would do it today so but look so he
8:52decided he was going to go and get his
8:53scuba license and I'm like yes go for it
8:56oh I know that wasn't God then if no
8:58that wasn't God yeah but that's what
9:00you're going to use I know
9:01that me to share it today okay listen to
9:04it and judge it after you all here okay
9:06you listen to it so he decided he GNA go
9:09get a scuba license and I'm like okay go
9:11ahead fine but I didn't realize that you
9:13have to have a partner when you go scuba
9:17Di and so I would say hey look I'mma go
9:21with you but I'mma sit on the side so we
9:23would go to all of these beaches and I
9:25would just sit on the side and I'm
9:26waiting well he would go into the store
9:29because just like Ren a diver if you
9:31will he would go in the store you had to
9:33go out with somebody I understand but
9:35you could at least ask for a man no no
9:37no it just he didn't ask for no man so
9:40all of a sudden I'm sitting on the side
9:42and here come his partner you know and
9:44these lacer suits like fitting your can
9:47you hit Brick House can you hit brick
9:49house right now she's a brick Oh see
9:52this is this is why I know he ain't ask
9:54for no man so look the the suit the
9:57lacer suit fitting fitting the girl girl
9:59all good head coming out of her scalp
10:01not sewn in like Vine but like grown out
10:04of her scalp you know head all the way
10:07down to her leg that's not your hair

10:20sitting on the side saying how was she

10:24much so you got 30 minutes she was dip

10:30sitting on the side cold hater I'm like
10:32you don't take all that you ain't got to
10:34do all that girl just put your BC on go
10:37ahead get in the water right so so you
10:39sure this is God this is God and all
10:41that flesh all that flesh so I'm S no no
10:45I'm saying what I'm saying is God not
10:48what you did okay all right so I'm
10:50sitting on the side and I'm sitting
10:52there like yeah I don't like this Holy
10:55Spirit said oh you don't like this I
10:57said nope I don't like it he said didn't
10:59do something about it I said oh I got it
11:01he ain't ever going scuba diving again I
11:04bet you that so Holy Spirit said no
11:07that's not how you fix it I said what
11:09you mean he said that's not how you fix
11:12it I said well how do you fix it he said
11:14you go and get your license and now you
11:16become the partner I was
11:18like I guess I can't fix it and so what
11:22I want you to know is this that God
11:23begin to minister to me he says that
11:25everything that you will ever need
11:28everything that you do not like I have
11:30equipped you and give you the ability to
11:33fix it no listen everything so if you
11:37don't like how your family is right now
11:40you don't like how your life is right
11:42now you don't like how your marriage is
11:45Right Now sing your singleness God has
11:48given you the ability to fix it somebody
11:52say thank you
11:54Jesus because we have been married like
11:59was saying 40 years but all of those
12:01years weren't all happy the first seven
12:04or eight years of our relationship I
12:06didn't like him he didn't like me he
12:08didn't want to come home and I was good
12:10with it I was like stay on out there
12:12with your boy no no true stuff true
12:14stuff no you we're not making this up no
12:16no no on our way to church what would we
12:22do can't stand your I don't know why I
12:26ever married you God I know God
12:29God curs me I tell you that and then she
12:33would try to cuss you ever heard
12:35somebody cuss who don't know how to put
12:37all the words in the right place like
12:40you don't even know how to cuss I would
12:43but he would tell me to get out the car
12:46get out the car I said no this my car
12:48you ain't com in this marriage with on
12:50our way to
12:52church all he bought was bad credit
12:55check out your credit check out the
12:58credit check out the credit that's it
13:00where were we going people where were we
13:02going church to church to church church
13:06and we will get to the front door jump
13:08out the car praise the Lord praise God
13:14won't he do
13:15it God is
13:20good I
13:22believe that Sunday mornings is the
13:26equivalent of October 31st
13:31we put these masks on come on and we
13:34become
13:36ushers we become pastors praise and
13:39worship leaders mask on masking all of
13:43this stuff that we just
13:46entertain prior to getting out the car
13:50look at your neighbor say come out come
13:52out whoever you are
14:06this is the part that's going to get you
14:07the
14:08most yeah I know watch
14:11this through all of
14:14that hell in our
14:19relationship I'm not liking her she's
14:23not liking me we're going to church
14:26ministering we wouldn't pastoring no
14:29thank God I wouldn't Pastor when he told
14:31me he was ready to Pastor I said oh no
14:34not until we fix this cuz I don't do
14:36performance good I ain't fake I ain't
14:39phone oh Don't Clap Don't Clap no clap

14:44me I ain't doing that I'm not just
14:47because she's been here a few more
14:50times but I can't do that I'm not coming
14:53in here smiling nobody's face and I'm
14:55going through at home no you going to
14:57fix this get yourself together together
14:59cuz it I knew it wasn't

15:12time it was me in my ignorance and my
15:16immaturity I can recall going to God and
15:19asking God to do something with her and
15:22why is she treating me this
15:24way and I'm so frustrated and I'm ready
15:27to get out of this
15:30anybody ever wanted to get out of your
15:34marriage look at your neigh said this is
15:36not a good time to look
15:40down especially if you sit next to your
15:46spouse and I said Lord what what what
15:48what should I do he said grow up it's
15:51your immaturity you're ignorant if you
15:54were mature it would not affect you the
15:58way it's affecting you it's your
16:01fault I begin to apply these
16:06principles see what we've discovered and
16:08you may have to hold on to your neighbor
16:10on this one and I don't even want to
16:13look over at Bishop after I say
16:17it cuz it may be counterproductive to
16:21what you may have heard but I believe I
16:23can fix it
16:29our marriage is far better than it's
16:32ever

16:47wait and God didn't fix

16:59what did I just say God didn't fix
17:03it well then who fixed
17:06it he said I've given you my word I've
17:11given you my authority I've given you
17:14the name of Jesus I given you
17:16application I've given you principle
17:19you're going to have to can how's Bishop
17:22looking over there I think he's good you
17:25think he's good over there Bishop you're
17:27good you while you
17:30waiting for God to do something for you
17:34he's already giving you
17:38everything that
17:40pertaineth to life and godliness if your
17:44marriage is the way you don't want it or
17:48if your
17:49singleness is horrible then you're going
17:52to have to fix
17:55it I don't think you should ever say I
17:59do to anyone else until you say I do to
18:04yourself

18:15me and so we
18:17began see see the thing went down like
18:21this in a lot of cases I would come
18:25home from
18:26work with some pre meditated
18:30premeditated stuff and I already had it
18:33fixed up you know you get more time for
18:36premeditated
18:40CME you should be locked up right now
18:43I'm just saying no what you don't
18:46understand I was locked up M bound
18:53bound so I would walk in the house and
18:55didy would say hey Mike ooh
18:59and I knew she could not take the silent
19:04treatment so I ignored
19:08her I'm
19:09saved here we go
19:12Sanctified and y'all remember not full
19:15of the Holy Ghost no going to church

19:20Sunday oh oh oh don't tell them that
19:23don't tell them that don't tell them
19:25that baby don't tell them this part they
19:26don't need to know this part accessory
19:33prayer I'm just saying y'all church
19:38folk gifts are without repentance yeah I
19:43stopped going everybody had a headache
19:46he come up there let me pray for you sis
19:48oh I ain't nobody praying you a only
19:50praying for yourself get your own life
19:51together I'm out of
19:53here I would leave no this true
19:56stuff man people prer and going through
19:59so many different trials and
20:02tribulations you want to make sure your
20:04private practices are in alignment with
20:06your public
20:10performance our days are too short you
20:13said you said what you want to make sure
20:15that our private practices are in
20:17alignment with our public
20:21performance go ahead and finish your
20:23story cuz I like that story I didn't
20:25know you was going to share that me
20:26either uhuh but the Lord told me to oh
20:29he told you yeah like he tell you stuff
20:31yeah okay tell
20:35it she said Mike did you hear me and I
20:37knew if I just held out a little while
20:43longer she looked at me she said I'm
20:47trying to do the best I can you won't
20:50even talk to me I'm just tired of this
20:54relationship and I pick up something and
20:56throw it and then I was say see that's
20:59what I'm talking about you crazy that's
21:01why I'm
21:02leaving that's just what he say I am
21:05from the Southeastern part of Washington
21:09DC one of the worst areas it is not the
21:12worst areas better one of the worst are
21:14not well it is now but it wasn't at
21:16first I'm just saying I mean that's like
21:19I'm I'm a hood girl I'm I'm I'm you know
21:21like don't don't come at me like that so
21:25it's like I'm trying and I want to be
21:27nice and there some of you in here
21:29you know we don't tell our stories oh I
21:32know we don't tell our stories just to
21:34be telling our stories and it sounds
21:36funny but it's not funny especially if
21:38you're in the midst of what we are
21:40talking about right now so we're telling
21:42them but we want you to pull away some
21:44of the things that you can apply to your
21:46relationship to make it better but I was
21:49I I was raised in an environment where I
21:51saw you know fighting and cursing and
21:55you know going at it my mother had a
21:57mouth on her my mother was speak back my
21:59mother would just haul off and hit you
22:01you what you look at me like that bam I
22:03thought my mother was a heavyweight
22:05champion of the world I'm telling you
22:07and she was certainly happy that's what
22:09you oh your mother wasn't skinny I just
22:12need you to know so the bless part of it
22:16my mom and dad were married 65 years
22:19yeah before they went to be with the
22:21Lord her mom and dad have been married
22:25now for 74 years
22:29mhm so we understand I thank God they
22:32didn't kill each other cuz I mean I
22:33thought they was going to kill each
22:34other growing up but then he was raised
22:37in a home where he didn't see any
22:38arguing or any disagreement his parents
22:41would disagree you know in private and
22:44so when you bring these two forces
22:46together we're looking at each other
22:48like I wasn't raised to handle it like
22:51that I'm like no we fight ours out he
22:53wanted to talk I don't want to be a
22:54talker I just want to be a fighter let's
22:56just go for it right and so here we are
22:59going at it trying to make each other
23:02fit in this mod that we were never
23:05designed or created to fit in God has
23:08already created the image the mod he has
23:11an original intent of why we are
23:15supposed to come together and you have
23:17to get back to what is the purpose of
23:20God for our relationship what is the
23:23purpose of God for my singleness just
23:25because you were single doesn't mean
23:27that you don't have purpose to fulfill
23:30right and so you have so much purpose in
23:32you and you got to get in the word of
23:34God and in his presence to find out God
23:37what am I supposed to be doing I got
23:39tired of being crazy I got tired of
23:41cutting up I got tired of like I was the
23:44one I was the one who had to punch you
23:46know to fix up holes in the wall cuz I
23:48was crazy I mean I'm sorry I was just
23:50cray cray I know I was but thank God I'm
23:53redeemed you take a girl out the
23:57hood but you may not be able to get the
24:00hood out the
24:02girl and I would ignore her for a while
24:05and boy
24:07she changed after a few months of me
24:12doing that a lot of months yeah and I
24:15recall this this this this changed my
24:18life forever I recall I had my plan the
24:20same plan come in don't speak she's GNA
24:23go crazy then I can
24:25leave I came in the house
24:29and she said hello Mike everything is
24:31going according to
24:34plan and I didn't say anything and she
24:37said Mike did you hear me and I said all
24:40right here we
24:42go and I didn't say anything all of a
24:46sudden now she begins to pray in other
24:51tongues now this is different this is
24:54different what are you doing wait a
24:56minute you're not following ing the
25:01script she turns towards her heavenly
25:05father and begins to pray with other
25:08tongues and I'm saying now I knew enough
25:12not to bother her then so I sat around I
25:15said okay this will wear off in a
25:19minute she said I'll fix you some food
25:22baby I said uh I'm not hungry and as a
25:26matter of fact I hav't like your food in
25:30a long time she going she going to come
25:32out the spirit after after a minute I
25:35know I know this ain't going to last
25:37long cuz I know her now I was
25:41saved
25:43Sanctified and
25:48mean what else I do so I went and set
25:52down in front of the television she said
25:55well I'm going
25:56upstairs if in fact you want food later
25:59on call me I'll come and heat it up for
26:02you I'm saying this is
26:06different so I never call her but I
26:10can't leave cuz I got some
26:14dignity I go upstairs only to discover
26:18my bath water has been
26:21[Applause]
26:22drawn candles all
26:25around it's cold at this time is Bubbles
26:33doesn't and I said well I'm not going to
26:35get into her water
26:39either she going to get out of the
26:41spirit one of these Mo then I get in the
26:44bed cuz I'm trying to now just figure
26:49this out I get in the
26:51bed and all of the
26:54sudden the old girl
26:57start back backing that thing up on
27:03me and I'm
27:05saying what is
27:10this now now now I turned down that food
27:14I didn't get in that
27:16water but
27:23I I can't hear nobody
27:30look at your neighbor say he ain't that
27:33crazy oh then y'all won't play
27:38music but what happened is tell them
27:40what happened I got a vision of a better
27:43day no when you're really going to be
27:47Faith what is it Faith Cent the Faith
27:49Center you're going to have to
27:51understand Faith principles so faith
27:54says that I act on what I believe I
27:57believed had a better relationship and
28:00so I stopped treating him like he was
28:02treating me no listen I started acting
28:06like he was acting like he was supposed
28:10to act so it changed the way I acted did
28:14you get
28:15that no no say it one more time swe I
28:18started acting like he was acting like
28:22he was supposed to act so it changed the
28:25way that I act no I if your spouse MH
28:30act the way you wanted them to act how
28:33would you
28:35act your response is your
28:39responsibility you keep saying they're
28:41making you act this way they're not you
28:45are making that choice to act out the
28:48way you are acting she took it upon
28:51herself because the girl wanted it that
28:54bad mhm I did I'm not talking about the
28:58sex no no I'm talking about the I wanted
29:01that too but not that I wanted my
29:04relationship because I saw commitment I
29:08saw like he just told you my parents
29:09would be married for 74 years this year
29:12and so I saw commitment I saw them you
29:15know fight it out not that it was
29:17healthy it was so dysfunctional but I
29:20saw commitment and I knew I didn't want
29:22to divorce and I begin to learn about
29:24faith and how the principles of God work
29:27and I started applying something
29:29different I said okay my vision says
29:31that I have a blessed relationship
29:34regardless of how he is acting I started
29:37focusing on what I believe that I could
29:39have faith is acting on what you believe
29:43so I started treating him better it's
29:46like okay I don't expect anything from
29:49you absolutely in spite of all of that
29:52so it didn't matter to me it's like you
29:54going to have to give an account to God
29:56for your part God is is going to hold me
29:59responsible for what I'm supposed to be
30:01doing and so I took my attention off of
30:03that and I remember one day when he came
30:06and he got on his knees wow and he began
30:08to cry in front of me and say I'm sorry
30:11I apologize for how I've been treating
30:13you I've been acting like a fool and me
30:16I'm like I
30:19know I'm I'm probably at those times one
30:22of the most non-emotional people because
30:25it's like at some point you going to
30:27have to be a accountable for your
30:29immature acts no really that's including
30:32me and that's including him I mean and
30:35we still kind of get under each other's
30:37skin just last
30:39night what happened last night just last
30:43night you know he like y'all men y'all
30:46get a different way when y'all ain't
30:47feeling 100 you
30:52like and I'm like come on dude let's
30:55let's let's man up hold your head up
30:57let's do something he was like see this
30:59one of the
31:01times why are you telling the people
31:03what happened last night this is so
31:06funny he said this one of the times I
31:09wish I could call my mother I said well
31:11you can't so let's come on play some
31:13song He said why you so
31:16hard it's like I'm not I'm not okay I'm
31:19leaving that's what
31:21I'm you'll be
31:24back but those are the times it's like
31:26somebody has to to be accountable for
31:29their own responses and how they carry
31:32out things in relationships and you're
31:35going to have to get tired of not having
31:38what God has promised you you can have
31:40in your life if you expect something
31:44different you're going to have to do
31:45something different and even as
31:50singles some of you should know you're
31:52not ready to be married when
31:55someone's is ignoring you in the
31:59workplace you say good morning and they
32:02don't say good morning back and then you
32:05say it'll be a cold day in
32:08Hell before I say good morning again you
32:12already should know that you're not
32:15ready for the
32:17vicisitudes and all of the things that
32:20go on as you Traverse in marriage
32:23because if you can't handle
32:25relationships without a commitment
32:28how are you going to be able to handle a
32:31relationship with and you should you
32:34should measure yourself see God he takes
32:37the little things that you are currently
32:40doing and he us those things as a
32:44barometer to determine what you will do
32:47with
32:49more so if you can't keep
32:52consistently speaking to people who are
32:56diametrally opposed to who you are and
32:59what they say without a husband or a
33:02wife that should clue you in I'm really
33:05not ready but when you get up every
33:08morning in spite of what anyone is doing
33:12to you and you love them in spite of
33:16them because of you you said I do to
33:21myself am I being clear here what we all
33:26have to understand
33:28is this whole thing about Family it's
33:31God's original
33:33intent family is God's idea what did I
33:37just say family is God's idea whose idea
33:40was family God's he said let us make man
33:45he wanted to expand himself in the Earth
33:49yeah yeah Genesis 1 26 you all know that
33:53he said let us make man in our image can
33:57you put that up in our image and our
34:00likeness you have it don't you sweetie
34:02read it yep then God said let us make
34:04man in our image according to our
34:06likeness let them have dominion over the

46:36singleness as it relates to your
46:39marriage it's always going to cause you
46:43to PO possess those things that you want
46:48because when we didn't have what we
46:51wanted we both had to first of all get
46:54our attitudes right
46:57and then make the
46:59adjustments and then secondly believe we
47:02could have what the word says we could
47:04have we could do what the word says we
47:07could do and we can oh Jesus be what the
47:10word says we could be and then after
47:13believing it we begin to become
47:18it
47:20thirdly we cared about our
47:23representation like if in fact this is
47:26the the only picture that God has given
47:30for us to show Christ's love for the
47:33church the only picture in the scripture
