1:09presence of the Lord and if they could

1:23amen this morning as we're gathered here
1:26today
1:28to do something that I think is very
1:31important in fact it's
1:34overdue it's
1:36overdue many of you are not even aware
1:39of it
1:41that some of the battles that you're
1:44fighting and the way things are going in
1:47your life is a direct result of what's
1:50happening in your
1:53house so I want to talk about changing
1:57that and having the the oil of
2:01God to envelop your
2:06house so we going to talk about the oil
2:09envelop in my house what do I mean by
2:12that it is the oil of God's
2:16power covering my
2:19house envelop covering
2:23surrounding my
2:27house we all have insurance right
2:30we're supposed to have insurance on our
2:34property our house for a
2:38reason because it
2:41is um if you will it is a sense of
2:46comfort knowing that if there was an
2:49accident
2:51fire flood
2:54hurricane especially for those of you
2:57live in this part of the United
3:01States California some of you watching
3:03from there
3:05fire that just in case there's a
3:10disaster you don't have to worry about
3:12how you're going to
3:14rebuild because the insurance company
3:19their responsibility is to repair
3:23replace
3:25restore your
3:27house so it is
3:30when it comes to our spiritual life we
3:33need to make sure apart from our
3:35physical
3:36insurances that we have the insurance of
3:40God that our properties are covered our
3:44lives are covered so today is a very
3:47special day for all of us I say it's a
3:52special day because God is going to
3:54release a special blessing upon your
3:58place of dwelling
4:00I want you to know that God's desire is
4:03for your place of dwelling to be in
4:07alignment with the power that's
4:10operating in his
4:13house it's not enough for you to just
4:15come to the temple God's
4:17house and say you had a wonderful time
4:21you felt the power of God the anointing
4:25of God and you feel protected and
4:27reassured here but then when you leave
4:30here and you go to your
4:34homes you have no
4:37power so we should all know that God's
4:41house is
4:43blessed this house is
4:46blessed so make no mistake about it this
4:50building or any building that has been
4:53dedicated as a house of God is blessed
4:57watch this regardless of the
4:59imperfection of the people who live in
5:04it this is so comforting man that this
5:09house is
5:10blessed and the mistake we make as a
5:13people is that we always say the church
5:18is hypocritical the church is bad the
5:21church is not real the church has no
5:24power because our assumption is because
5:27the people are imp perfect the church is
5:34imperfect
5:35listen if all of us will exit this
5:38building this house is still blessed
5:42whether you're in it or out of
5:47it regardless of our imperfection and
5:51there's a whole lot of imperfection in
5:53this room today from the stage to the
5:58Pew and spite of how we're
6:02imperfect this building is still blessed
6:05I'm going somewhere with this this
6:07building is still
6:09blessed your sin and my sin can never
6:15taint the
6:17Holiness hallu of this
6:24room can
6:26never absolutely never not not if this
6:30is God's house if this is God's house
6:33our imperfection cannot
6:36taint the
6:38Holiness of this
6:41room and so if this house is blessed in
6:45spite of our imperfection the same is
6:47true for your house please catch this if
6:51you pray over your house and you have
6:54dedicated your house to God your house
6:57is blessed even even when imperfect
7:02people live in that
7:07house somebody say my house is blessed
7:11my house is blessed come on declare it
7:12like you mean it my house is
7:15blessed I don't care Who's acting the
7:17fool up in your house I don't care if
7:20your spouse is crazy I don't care if you
7:23want to kill your children I don't care
7:26what drugs they're on I don't care what
7:29the devil has tried to do to your house
7:31the reason why he has targeted your
7:33house is because he recognized that
7:36there's a blessing that is upon your
7:39house and he wants to reverse
7:43it so
7:45regardless of the imperfection of the
7:47people in your house your house is still
7:50blessed so if your house is blessed then
7:52no matter the imperfection of those who
7:55live in
7:56it I want to remind you again again the
7:59house is blessed God made a
8:02covenant that he would bless your house
8:05and keep it from evil as long as you
8:07keep his
8:09Covenant he'll keep your house from Evil
8:14now don't kid
8:16yourself if you dabble in
8:20evil and walk in your holy house then
8:24what do you expect to happen to your
8:26Holy
8:28House
8:31come on now if you want the power of God
8:34to flow in your house then you have to
8:38walk in the righteousness of God and
8:40this is why you need to make sure that
8:43you Faithfully keep God's covenant in
8:47your house we just blessed some babies a
8:50moment
8:51ago and I I believe I told the parents
8:55you know to to to to make sure that they
8:59strain up their children in the fear of
9:02God that in your house you ought to
9:05bring back the word of God I'm not
9:08telling you to bring back denomination
9:10or religion or some man-made traditional
9:14rules I'm saying bring back the purity
9:17of the word of God in your house and I
9:20don't care how your children act the
9:22fool I am telling you your children are
9:25marked with the power of God and the
9:28devil cannot snatch
9:33them you see whenever you embrace the
9:36word of God it changes you into a
9:39righteous
9:41person if he embraced the word of God
9:44and David said Thy word have I hid in my
9:46heart once the word is in your heart it
9:49changes you to a righteous person but
9:51whenever you don't embrace the word of
9:53God it makes you a person who is easily
9:57tempted by evil
10:00so if you say well you know I'm just I'm
10:02just not really with this bible stuff
10:04you I'm not in it then you know I'm not
10:06going to read it and so forth then what
10:10do you use to measure how you live your
10:14life what do you use to measure how to
10:18live your life cuz if you're living your
10:20life based on your emotions and your
10:22feelings
10:24oh the devil is going to get
10:28you he's a
10:30Prowler and if you have no word in you
10:34you don't know what the Bible says when
10:36he comes to tempt you what are you going
10:39to use as a point of
10:41reference to know whether or
10:44not to do the thing he's prompting you
10:47to
10:48do think about that that's why it is to
10:52our advantage to embrace the word of
10:56God to apply the word of God I know we
10:59all struggle to live up to it but if if
11:02the word of God becomes our
11:05foundation then we become righteous
11:09because we then start walking in the
11:10righteousness of God we then walking in
11:13the right things of God but then if you
11:16don't read the word and don't care to
11:18read
11:19it then how do you measure your life how
11:23do you measure how to live your life
11:24Proverbs 3:33 says the Lord's curse is
11:28upon The House of the
11:30wicked but He blesses the dwelling of
11:34the
11:36righteous so if you keep doing
11:38evil this is what the Bible says the
11:42curse of the Lord is upon your
11:45house oh you can talk about my house is
11:47blessed my house is blessed but if you
11:49still keep doing evil
11:52stuff God says I'm G to curse your house
11:55now don't take please put Henry
11:58Fernandez out of this I ain't got
12:00nothing to do with this that's the
12:04Bible that's not
12:07me when you dabble in evil
12:11stuff when you've got objects in your
12:14house that are dedicated to
12:21Witchcraft when when when you start
12:23doing evil things because to you it's to
12:27protect my house are you crazy
12:30ain't no demon strong
12:33enough to fight them evil spirits that
12:36you dealing with at your house you need
12:38God the Father the Son and the Holy
12:41Spirit and that's enough that's
12:44enough that's the enough to fight the
12:50devil so I want to encourage you today
12:53as God sent me here today to tell all of
12:56you that's what's what's coming in in
12:59the form of Satan's
13:01attack upon the people of God is
13:04real and some of these events are going
13:07to test our
13:10faith going to test our faith their
13:14future blessings coming absolutely but
13:16there're going to be some future
13:19disaster that's coming and I'm not here
13:22today to cast doubt on
13:25anybody but is your house protected you
13:28know
13:29when the wrath of God was about to hit
13:31Israel CU Israel has not always been
13:35faithful God's people has not always
13:38been
13:40faithful we're not always been faithful
13:43we dibbling dabbling stuff we ain't got
13:45no business
13:47in and God has a tendency he just gets
13:51sick and tired of the
13:54mess and he just comes with his wrath
13:56and and so he said I'm going to kill
13:59everybody read your
14:02Bible God is a gangster
14:05man some you oh God I can't believe I
14:09can't believe he said God's a gangster
14:11what he said I'm going to kill everybody
14:13and then he says here's what I need you
14:15to do to protect your
14:17house I want you to go kill an animal
14:20and he gave Specific Instructions how
14:23that is supposed to be done and use the
14:25blood of the animal and I want you to
14:27plaster it over the door most of your
14:29house cuz when the death angel in other
14:32words when the when God speaks a thing
14:35and he says kill or
14:38destroy when that angel comes your house
14:42is
14:43covered he'll see your house and say
14:45uh-uh there's somebody righteous living
14:48there uh-uh that's a child of
14:51God that's someone covered by the blood
14:54of Jesus right and that's how Israel was
14:58protected there I believe fast forward
15:01to the 21st century a lot of that's
15:03going to happen in our world today just
15:06look about what's happening in the world
15:08today I believe that there's going to
15:12be a series of things that are going to
15:18clash and it's going to our
15:21world if you think coid was
15:27bad oh
15:29oh Jesus wrong Sunday I came to church I
15:31didn't come expecting that it's better
15:34to be warned and
15:37[Applause]
15:41prepared well here's the good
15:43news you going to get your house
15:48covered so what is to come won't affect
15:51your
15:53home because the covering of God is upon
15:57it so you and I really need to make sure
16:00that our house is in alignment with God
16:02so that you don't get tricked into
16:05leaving your house exposed to Satan's
16:11plan in the book of 2 Samuel
16:15specifically 2
16:17Samuel 7 first 29 vers we find David
16:23having a conversation with uh Nathan the
16:27prophet having a conversation here is
16:31David he's
16:33king of
16:36Israel and he did wonderfully well as a
16:41king according to the
16:44scripture David built a lavish
16:49House 2 Samuel chapter 7 beginning at
16:53verse one now when the king lived in his
16:56house speaking of David and the Lord had
16:59given him rest from all his surrounding
17:04enemies Israel was hated by a lot of
17:08Nations and here is King David God gave
17:13him a season of
17:15rest don't believe the lies of Satan
17:19that says as a Believer you're always
17:21going to be in
17:24war God gave David a SE season of rest
17:30from the surrounding enemies that's why
17:34your house need to be surrounded not by
17:36enemies but by the protection of
17:40God and the Bible says in verse two the
17:43King David said to Nathan the prophet
17:47see now I dwell in the house of
17:50Cedar but the Ark of God dwells in a
17:56tent and Nathan said to the king K go do
18:00all that is in your heart for the Lord
18:04is with you but that same night the word
18:07of the Lord came to Nathan go and tell
18:09my servant David thus said the Lord
18:13would you build me a house to dwell
18:17in
18:20WoW David was laying up in his house one
18:24day in his
18:26Palace built
18:29well the most expensive wood in those
18:33days and he said to the prophet
18:38Nathan
18:40wow look I'm in my
18:43house
18:45man I'm doing
18:47good I've done
18:50well and the truth is God has fought
18:53many battles for
18:55me I've overcome so many enemies and
19:01I've demolished their plans for me and
19:05my people look at how I'm living I'm
19:09doing
19:10well but what I love about David you can
19:13say whatever you want to say about him
19:16David had a reputation he was he
19:19struggled with pornography he struggled
19:22with his temper he struggled with lust
19:25he struggled with all kinds of stuff and
19:27the Bible says says David was a man
19:30after God's Own Heart and it's proven
19:33here with all of his successes David
19:37finally got
19:39convicted and said how is
19:42it that I could live in such a lavish
19:48mansion and the Ark of
19:51God has no place to
19:54live the Ark of God is the presence of
19:57God let me school you a little bit the
20:00Ark of God was built based on the
20:02instructions of God and as the children
20:05of Israel was wondering and going
20:08through their journey in life they would
20:12pitch tents and the Ark of Covenant will
20:15be in that tent and that is the temple
20:18the temporary temple of God they will go
20:21in to worship and make sacrifices to God
20:25so what David felt was wait a minute
20:28minute I have a permanent
20:31home I've done
20:35well but
20:37look the place where the presence of God
20:40must
20:41be doesn't have a home of itself it's
20:45under a
20:46tent it's under a
20:49tent while I'm living in a house that is
20:53built with cedar
20:55wood David's heartfelt the desire to
20:58build a house for the Lord was
21:02strong he recognized that he lived in a
21:05Palace
21:06built with cedar wood while the Ark of
21:10the Covenant remained in the tent in
21:12other words the Ark of God had no
21:15permanent home it was being carried
21:18around left in a
21:21tent while he and his
21:24people were doing well so David David he
21:31built his house he looked at it he got
21:34convicted here's what I love about David
21:37again another thing I love about him is
21:40that no matter how successful he
21:44got he had
21:51humility one of the the the the struggle
21:55that we have as a
21:57people
21:58is the more God blesses us is the more
22:02arrogant we
22:09become I keep telling you all for me I
22:12only can speak for
22:15me my biggest struggle as a
22:20leader is that as God elevates me is how
22:24do I stay
22:26humble because it can get to
22:33your when you have nothing no house no
22:37car no job no education you fasted and
22:40you prayed and you intercede and you
22:43sold seed and you did everything to God
22:47and then God blesses you you've got your
22:50Masters you've got your PhD and you got
22:53your six-figure jobs and you've got all
22:56the clothes and the closet and you've
22:59got a little bit of change in the bank
23:02if you are not
23:08careful you will turn your back on God
23:11and forgetting that it was God who gave
23:15you the power and the ability to create
23:19[Applause]
23:22wealth so be careful how you let your
23:26successes get to your
23:30head I don't know who this is
23:33for humble
23:36yourself be
23:38careful one event in life can humble
23:43you one not four not five one event in
23:49life can humble you I don't care the car
23:52you got park in the driveway or the
23:54parking lot I don't care the house you
23:56live in I I don't care how much money
23:59you got in your bank account I don't
24:01care if you got a black card in your
24:03wallet today one
24:09event can humble
24:12you so now let me break down to
24:17you the huge difference between the tent
24:21and the palace and David's personality
24:26versus some of our personality
24:29AG a tent is not a
24:33palace it's
24:35not a palace is well
24:38built perhaps have the finest Furniture
24:41in
24:42there a palace is
24:46lavish huge
24:49large a tent is not a permanent
24:55structure so if you want the presence of
24:57of God to be in your
25:01house will you build him a permanent
25:05structure or something temporary break
25:08that down
25:09Henry is your house going to be a
25:13permanent place for God to
25:16live or you just going to want him to
25:19come up in your house when you're faced
25:22with a
25:25dilemma cuz a lot of us the only time we
25:28want somebody to come and have prayer
25:29meeting in our house and maybe pray for
25:31a house come on now is when we can
25:34handle
25:37it cuz God is not permanently there is
25:40he permanently there cuz when he's
25:42permanently there I firmly believe when
25:45God builds the
25:47house no devil in hell can remain at
25:52that
25:56place
25:58David had humility to recognize that I
26:02needed to build God a permanent place in
26:05other words wherever I go wherever I
26:08dwell I want the presence of God in my
26:10house I don't want to go to the Faith
26:13Center 5555 Northwest 95th Avenue and
26:18consider that oh that's where the
26:19Covenant is that's where my commitments
26:21are that that's that's where the power
26:23of God Is But at the benediction of the
26:26service I go home to my Palace not
26:30recognizing that God has been faithful I
26:33need to take him from here and I need to
26:35take him to my house and I need to make
26:38sure that my house is a reflection of
26:42what I've done for his
26:44[Applause]
26:50houseall you see David felt that his
26:53house was not a reflection of what his
26:55Covenant with God was like so David's
26:58genuine love for God and His desire to
27:01get his house in order and to make sure
27:04that it's been protected from Evil drove
27:07him to pray for the presence of God to
27:11come to his house and please note that
27:15while David was building his house and
27:17carrying out his duties as king watch
27:23this history
27:25shows this this hit me when I read
27:29all this time as he was carrying out his
27:31duties watch this and going to the
27:36temple using the the word of
27:40God to lead his
27:43people not one
27:46time did he ever pray for his
27:54house he went to the temple
27:58wherever the ark was he would go there
28:03and David would pray cuz you know we got
28:06fancy prayers today this how we pray
28:07today in the 21st century we pray we
28:09stand and God help you if the preacher
28:11pray too long and if we standing too
28:14long back in them
28:18days them
28:26people
28:29this how they pray David would go to the
28:31temple and he would constantly pray and
28:34constantly
28:35pray and it never dawned on him once to
28:40cover his
28:43house how many times we pray we pray we
28:46pray we come to church we
28:49pray and it's true in this room
28:53streaming you've never had your home
28:59blessed well if we're going to bless
29:04children and if the children going to go
29:06back to the
29:08house why not bless the
29:13house David got so preoccupied with his
29:18responsibilities he never prayed to God
29:21I'm going to prove it to you to for God
29:24to bless his house and so when we go
29:29down to verse uh want to go there let's
29:34go to verse
29:372829 I'm going to fast forward there cuz
29:40I'm running out of time
29:43here he prayed verse 28 he says and now
29:46oh Lord after all his interaction with
29:51God and the prophet
29:54Nathan he got
29:56convicted that
29:58maybe
30:00maybe why I am not sensing the power and
30:04the anointing of God the way I should
30:07it's
30:08because the temple is blessed the tent
30:12where the Ark of God's covenant is
30:15located is blessed but even though my
30:19Palace is lavish and wonderful there's
30:24something missing in my Palace
30:28and I'm telling you ladies and gentlemen
30:31there's something missing in our homes
30:34and that is the presence and the power
30:37of
30:41God he said there's something missing he
30:43said in verse 28 and now the Lord God
30:47you are God and your words are true and
30:51you have promised this good thing to
30:54your servant now therefore may it please
30:57you you to bless the house of your
31:00servant not the tent where the ark was
31:05located he was saying
31:08God if it please you
31:10now bless my
31:12house bless my house somehow David
31:15recognized wait a minute everything came
31:18from
31:19God I'm King I'm King he's King do you
31:23understand what it means to be
31:24king not the president
31:28King he's King he's doing
31:33well and then he's crying out to God if
31:37it please you bless the house of your
31:39servant so that it may continue forever
31:41I love this I love this I'm going to
31:43break I'm just all over the place here
31:45because I'm just being led by the Holy
31:46Spirit here I love what David prayed
31:50about he said so that it may continue
31:54forever before you David tapped into
31:58something that I'm going to show you he
32:00tapped
32:02into asking for blessings on his house
32:06because it is through his house comes
32:10generational
32:14[Music]
32:18blessings God man I'm telling you man
32:21here's what happens I want to show you
32:24this David said said God bless my
32:30house
32:32because he had an encounter with God and
32:35here was what God told him God said
32:38David you won't finish the temple that
32:43I'm going to empower you to start
32:46remember the the Ark of God had no
32:49dwelling David got convicted he decided
32:53I'm going to build me God's house I'm
32:55going to build me God's house he's King
32:58and God said to him you're going to
33:00build it or start building it but you're
33:03not going to finish
33:05it cuz here's the thing David in your
33:08house this is why your house needs to be
33:10blessed please parents listen to
33:12me David
33:15recognized that in his
33:17house was a
33:20son named
33:24Solomon and Solomon was going to be the
33:26one
33:27to finish the
33:29temple so he had to pray for God to
33:33bless his house because out of his house
33:37will come a
33:39generation that will fulfill the work of
33:43God in his time somebody need to hear me
33:47this
33:51morning I firmly believe that someone in
33:54your family if not you will bring the
33:59presence of God back into your home and
34:02that person will be the one watch this
34:05to break the generational curses that's
34:08on your family and finish
34:11rebuilding everything that God has
34:14spoken over your
34:16[Applause]
34:23family three things we can learn from
34:25David and I
34:28close according to the scripture David
34:31seek the presence of
34:35God he was in his house he seek the
34:37presence of God and he
34:38said I not only want the presence of God
34:41to be in a tent come to my house
34:46God come to my house bless my
34:49house and I'm going to build you a house
34:53I got convicted I'll do my part I'm
34:56going to build you a
34:58house but I recognize that you're
35:00speaking to
35:02me I not only want your presence in your
35:05house but I want it in my house because
35:07I got a son that you're telling me I'm
35:12going to start
35:13something and it is my son to finish it
35:17I want men to hear me clearly today
35:20listen to me
35:22men you are like
35:25David and it's time you start
35:29identify in your
35:31house the child or the
35:35children that will continue the
35:38Legacy that you
35:41started God gave David a
35:45dynasty a dynasty principle and and and
35:49I and I hate to say this and please take
35:51this with all the love I don't mean
35:54anybody harm but there's a lot of of us
35:57our problem is we're very selfish
35:59self-centered and we do not think
36:02generational we just think for ourself
36:05in the moment
36:11Hallelujah David wasn't thinking for
36:15himself alone he was thinking
36:18generational he said God okay Solomon is
36:22in my
36:23house I'm going to start the temple I
36:27want your presence in my house because
36:29the temple that I am constructing is
36:32huge it's expensive and we can't do this
36:35without you and we need watch this we
36:39need
36:40somebody strong enough wise
36:44enough to finish what I've started
36:48parents build something so big and large
36:53for your
36:54family that you will not live long long
36:57enough to complete
36:58[Applause]
37:00it that your children will take it
37:05over your children will complete it your
37:09children will have this longevity and
37:13have generational blessings number two
37:15David's trust in God's
37:19timing stop rushing
37:23God stop
37:25panicking
37:27stop allowing the enemy to make you walk
37:31away from the presence of God and trying
37:33to do things your way with all the
37:36efforts that you've made come on let's
37:37reason together with all the efforts
37:40that you have made where has it gotten
37:42you without
37:45God where has it gotten you you put God
37:49aside you stay in your fancy places or
37:52your environment doesn't have to be a
37:54physical building but you think God I
37:56don't need God I don't need all of that
37:58stuff and know I don't need church I
37:59don't need to go to church don't need to
38:00read my Bible all that kind of where has
38:02it gotten
38:06you cuz you're
38:09anxious
38:10no I can't wait on
38:13God I'm going to build whatever I need
38:15to build my own my own way so you build
38:19your career and you're doing everything
38:22and applying for promotions and and
38:25you're doing all this stuff you're going
38:26to college and some of you got more
38:28degrees in a thermometer and everything
38:30like that and still don't have the job
38:35you
38:38desire some of you are so in debt in
38:43school you go and you borrow $100,000 to
38:47be educated and get the degree I'm not
38:48telling you not to do it only to come
38:51out to get a job for
38:55$65,000 and spend the next 20 years
38:57trying to pay your student
39:00loan you trying to figure way how to do
39:02it not understanding except the Lord
39:05build the
39:06house they who
39:08labors labors in vain when God is BU
39:12listen I have a few people who can back
