0:04today we are so grateful that you're a

0:09worship service you know i believe every
0:12time we gather in this fashion
0:14whether it's in person and boy i can't
0:17wait until we get back into this house
0:19together but as we do it virtually
0:22i certainly believe that god
0:26will empower us when we get thirsty
0:30and hungry for his word that's exactly
0:33what we're going to do right now we're
0:35going to
0:35study the word of god we're going to
0:38apply it to our lives
0:40and in turn we're going to receive the
0:42blessing in fact
0:43we're going to set ourselves up for the
0:46blessing can we just pray
0:48before we get into the word father we
0:49thank you for all the people who are

0:54from so lord i pray that you bless them

1:40the word and we're going to talk about
1:43driven by faith driven by faith you know
1:47it's important
1:49that everything that you do in life
1:52that faith is applied
1:55and if faith is applied then
1:58it is that faith that's going to drive
2:01you
2:03to finish successfully
2:06i believe no one succeeds in life
2:09without being
2:10confronted with challenges
2:13absolutely no one gets to succeed
2:17or reach the top or complete their
2:20you know their vision or their dreams
2:24without being confronted with the
2:26challenges of life
2:27it's a part of who we are and i think
2:30the sooner we understand that
2:33it's the sooner we will um you know stop
2:36being so frustrated and and we'll get to
2:40a place of
2:40of saying lord okay whatever you're
2:42doing in this season
2:44whatever you're allowing in my life i
2:46embrace it because
2:47i know that i'm going to be better
2:50you see i believe that challenges are
2:53designed
2:54to develop us those challenges whatever
2:57it may be
2:58many of you right now you are being
3:01challenged
3:02by perhaps you know some medical
3:04conditions
3:06uh maybe it's in your finance maybe it's
3:08with your family maybe it's your career
3:10it's your business um you know
3:14whatever it may be we're all challenged
3:18in life by certain circumstances and
3:21this is what life is all about life
3:25it's about a journey of dreaming you
3:28know
3:29making progress but it's also
3:32a journey of confronting
3:35challenges problems setbacks and so
3:38forth
3:39you know i believe that life is about
3:41having the guts
3:42to confront life's challenges with the
3:45determination
3:47that you will succeed in the end
3:50and i love this it is having the ability
3:55to confront the challenges of life the
3:58guts
3:59that will power to say i can do all
4:02things
4:04through christ who gives me the strength
4:07and having the determination that you
4:09are going to succeed
4:11no matter what that's what you ought to
4:14tell yourself
4:15that i am going to succeed no matter
4:18what
4:20because there's a lot that's coming
4:21against you there's a lot that's coming
4:23against me
4:24we're all faced with the same thing the
4:28enemy is going to target you because he
4:30doesn't want you to win
4:32but whenever you have the guts to say i
4:34am going to make it no matter what
4:37i'm going to persevere i'm determined to
4:40see the good
4:42outcome that god has promised me
4:45well honey you'll get there because you
4:47know
4:48one thing the devil doesn't like is a
4:51determined
4:52believer someone who is purposeful
4:55someone who is intentional
4:58he can't stand you that way because he
5:01know he's a loser
5:03look at second chronicles 15
5:07verse 7 and i love this because this
5:11passage of scripture kind of gives us
5:14hope
5:15it it helps us to understand
5:19um you know what will get us
5:22to that successful end it says
5:25be strong and do not give up or lose
5:28courage
5:29for there is a reward for your work
5:33there's a reward you're going to be
5:36rewarded for your work
5:38that's what the scripture is saying but
5:40how do you get rewarded first of all you
5:42have to be strong
5:44you can't be a weak person you can't be
5:47a person who's going to give up
5:49who's going to say you know i can't make
5:51it and
5:52and and complain more that than than you
5:55know pushing forward
5:57you're never going to get anywhere like
5:58that in life the scripture says
6:01you ought to be strong and god sent
6:04me today in your life to encourage you
6:07to be strong
6:08you have to you have no other choice you
6:11you can't
6:12throw in the towel you can't hold your
6:14hands up and surrender
6:16you can't do it i'm not talking about
6:18you can't surrender at this time
6:21at no given time can you surrender to
6:24the enemy
6:25so be strong and do not give up
6:29don't let your guard down don't give up
6:32don't give in to the pressure
6:34of the enemy and the bible says for
6:36there's a reward
6:37for your work god says i will reward you
6:41for your work
6:42galatians 6 9
6:45it tells us let us not grow weary
6:49of doing good for in due season
6:53we will reap if we do not
6:56give up so reaping is possible
7:01you know it's not a iffy situation it's
7:03not a gamble here
7:04you know well maybe if i serve god and
7:07maybe if i'm
7:08persistent and if i'm consistent and
7:11determined
7:12to get to the end you know maybe i won't
7:16get blessed maybe
7:17i won't see the good outcome it's no
7:20guessing here
7:21the scripture says if you don't give up
7:24and i'm kind of a
7:25paraphrasing a lot of it and rearranging
7:27it it really says the same thing it just
7:30breaks it down
7:31more it says if you do not give up
7:33that's the latter part of the verse
7:36if you do not give up how do you avoid
7:40the ability or the um
7:44the just the notion or the suggestion if
7:47you will
7:48to give up it says if you don't get
7:52tired
7:53if you don't get frustrated if you keep
7:56on doing what is
7:57good see that's the good part about it
8:00if you're doing things that are bad then
8:02you should be frustrated there's no hope
8:05but if you're living the faith life
8:09if you're living for god the bible says
8:12in due season as you continue
8:14to do good god says i'm going to reward
8:18you
8:18are you hearing me i'm going to reward
8:21you and there's a lot of you
8:23watching me right now you have been
8:25doing good
8:26and i understand it i get it you're
8:28getting frustrated you're feeling as if
8:30okay
8:31this is not paying off and i know you're
8:33saying you've been waiting for a long
8:35time
8:36and you just don't know why you just
8:40can't reach the goal listen to me
8:43if you keep on doing good don't get
8:46tired
8:46the bible says you will reap in
8:50due season in other words in god's
8:52timing not your time
8:54in it's god's time in
8:57so perhaps you've been praying to god
8:59about a career change
9:01you've been praying to god you know
9:03about an exam that you're doing
9:05and you know you've been praying to god
9:07about a promotion that you want
9:10or you know whatever it may be and it's
9:12not happening
9:14please do not give up please don't get
9:17tired
9:18keep on doing good so what you're
9:20supposed to do in the meantime is keep
9:22on studying
9:23you know sign up for the classes um you
9:26know keep putting in the
9:27application for the transfer you know
9:30and so forth
9:30keep redoing the test even if you failed
9:33it before
9:34you know keep on doing good whatever
9:36you're doing
9:38that is good keep on doing it and the
9:40bible says
9:41in a set time due season
9:44you will reap so your harvest your good
9:48outcome is guaranteed if you
9:51follow the principle here laid out in
9:54galatians 6
9:559 and it says if you don't give up
9:59you will possess those things you see no
10:02one
10:03gets to the top doing
10:07without doing the following things i
10:09should say no one gets to the top
10:11the top of the ladder of success and
10:14greatness
10:15great achievements no one get to the top
10:19without doing the following five things
10:22and i want you to write down
10:24these five things if you're taking notes
10:26number one
10:28exercise in your faith you'll never get
10:31to the top
10:32if you don't exercise your faith
10:35if you occasionally
10:38you know work your faith you know you do
10:41it monday but
10:41you know perhaps you won't do it again
10:43until sunday you're not going to get to
10:45the top and
10:46in fact even if you get to the top you
10:48would have shortchanged yourself because
10:50you've
10:51you would have missed a lifetime of
10:54experiences
10:56and therefore because you miss those
10:58experiences in life the
11:00challenges that are there to strengthen
11:02you
11:03when you get to the top you can't
11:04sustain yourself
11:06because again you're not prepared and
11:09and i can tell you as someone in
11:11management and someone
11:12who is very um
11:16particular about leadership i i
11:20i think i have some years of experience
11:22when it comes to leadership
11:24and a lot of people are are aspiring to
11:27become
11:28leaders and pushing forward to become
11:31leaders but the problem is
11:33they're not qualified there is a lack of
11:36leadership
11:37in this country there's a lack of
11:39leadership
11:40in our families in our business our
11:43workplaces and so forth
11:45because what we do find is people who
11:48are holding positions
11:50but not qualified they haven't been
11:53through anything
11:55and if they did they haven't learned the
11:58experiences
12:00to better prepare them
12:03to manage better you need to hear me
12:07so you need to exercise your faith if
12:10you want to get to the top
12:11and maintain the top you've got to
12:15exercise your faith
12:16every day you have to take faith steps
12:20and i'm telling you what's happening in
12:22particular in america and around the
12:25world
12:26god is setting up the body of christ to
12:29be in position
12:31to utilize their faith to get to the top
12:36you're not going to get to the top with
12:37your own strength your own abilities
12:40your you know your wisdom man's wisdom
12:43you're going to get to the top when you
12:45say god i trust you
12:48i believe that you have given me
12:50uncommon opportunities
12:52in the natural lord i can't figure this
12:54thing out
12:56in the natural i can't balance this
12:59thing out i can't
13:00process this in the natural because it
13:02doesn't make
13:03sense in the natural however because
13:06i have faith and i exercise my
13:10faith therefore lord i trust you
13:13i believe your word and i'm going to put
13:16my
13:17faith in it so lord that career
13:20i know people may say okay you're not
13:22qualified you know
13:23but god thank you that lord you have
13:26prepared me
13:27you have prepared me with my life
13:30experiences
13:31to be qualified for that position so i'm
13:34going to put my faith in it
13:35and i believe god you're going to grant
13:37me that position
13:39lord i believe i can pass that exam lord
13:43i believe i can gain access
13:46to that platform i can gain access to
13:50those things in life because i believe
13:52god you have called me
13:54you have called me you have anointed me
13:57for such a time
13:58as this lord i believe that property
14:02that lord it is mine uh you know lor i
14:05don't have a down payment i really don't
14:07but lord
14:08you know the desires of my heart and i
14:10think it is your will
14:11for me to begin to create wealth
14:15for my generation for future generations
14:18so lord i am trusting you
14:20lord you know just like the children of
14:22israel from day one
14:24you they didn't earn the houses you gave
14:27them you said you would give them houses
14:29they never
14:30built you'll give them lands and fields
14:33and and vineyards that they never
14:35planted so god
14:36i am claiming that in the 21st century
14:40that lord houses that the the
14:43system says i'm not qualified for
14:47houses that the system says that you
14:50don't have the money
14:51to pay for it god i trust you so i'm
14:54going to exercise my faith god
14:57i know what the doctors are saying the
14:59doctors are saying
15:00that you are you're sick beyond medical
15:04cure
15:04but god i put my faith in it i exercise
15:08my faith
15:09that you're going to heal me of cancer
15:12that you're going to
15:13heal me and regulate my blood pressure
15:15that lord
15:16you're going to heal me of diabetes
15:19whatever the situation may
15:21may be an an uncommon disease
15:24god i believe that you're going to heal
15:26me
15:27that's all exercise in your faith that
15:29in the midst of
15:30drama in the midst of chaos you can say
15:33god
15:34i trust you and i believe you for a good
15:37outcome
15:37number two you'll never get to the top
15:41without making an effort you have to
15:44make an effort
15:45faith without works is dead if you don't
15:47work your faith
15:48you're not going to get to the top you
15:50know some people
15:51i think they're trying to work magic
15:54here with the bible you know
15:56so if i just name it and claim it you
15:59know
15:59grab it you know maybe it's mine well
16:02that's not true you've got to work your
16:05faith you've got to make the effort
16:07you got to do your part what are you
16:09supposed to do
16:11if i was to go back to some of the
16:12things i just listed
16:15when it comes to you exercising your
16:16faith so for example
16:18if you're saying god i want you to heal
16:20me of certain diseases and so forth
16:22then you've got to make the effort to
16:24make sure your your diet
16:26is healthy you've got to make sure you
16:28do your part
16:29you know in order to reach to the top
16:33then if perhaps you want to buy a house
16:35you know
16:36you have to make sure your discipline
16:38and your spending you got to make sure
16:40that that because of the system i
16:42understand
16:43we have faith and god can give you a
16:45house without the credit system but
16:47because you don't have the money
16:49you see if you believe god for cash to
16:52buy a house that's okay
16:53fine then that's great however because
16:56we live in a system
16:58where we we can borrow and the bible
17:01doesn't speak against borrowing
17:04however the bible says when you do in
17:07the end
17:08just pay it back and oh no man nothing
17:10but love
17:12but there comes a time you have to
17:14borrow funds
17:16therefore you do your part clean up your
17:18credit make sure
17:20that you discipline yourself and you
17:22start saving
17:24and so forth you know put some money
17:26away every month and
17:27you know learn to cut back and you know
17:29learn not to just spend foolishly and so
17:32forth
17:32number three the third thing you need to
17:35do
17:36to get to the top and without it you're
17:38not going to get to the top
17:40is to be determined to finish
17:44you gotta to be determined to finish if
17:48listen because remember we read the
17:50scripture earlier
17:51um where it says in
17:55in ii chronicles 15 7 it stated be
17:58strong
17:59and do not give up you got to have the
18:01courage
18:03so that you'll get a reward so you have
18:05to be determined you cannot
18:07be frustrated you cannot give up
18:10according to galatians 6
18:119 don't be tired don't get tired
18:15of doing good you have to be determined
18:18it's a daily fight man it's a daily
18:22fight
18:23and that's one of the reasons why
18:26god has empowered me each and every week
18:30to come to you you have to see it
18:34this is one of the reasons i am
18:37here to empower you every week whether
18:40it's sunday
18:41or on a wednesday or a special service
18:44maybe on a monday night or so
18:46i'm here to encourage you so that you
18:49are determined to make it in the end
18:54that you get to the point where you says
18:56i'm not going to quit i'm going to
18:57finish
18:59i'm going to fulfill my purpose on the
19:01earth meaning you
19:03i'm going to be in the will of god i i
19:06am going to
19:08do what god has called me to do
19:11here's number four this you must do
19:15in order to get to the top if you don't
19:17do it you're not going to get to the top
19:19having the passion for the goal
19:23what's your goal in life or goals in
19:26life what do you want to accomplish
19:28what do you want to achieve in life
19:31whatever those things may be
19:33and in fact i will ask you
19:36let's just do this just post right now
19:39what are your goals
19:40in life what would you like to see
19:42yourself accomplish
19:44the next five years the next
19:4710 years 15 years 20 years the next
19:5030 years if you're in your 30s right now
19:54what would you like to accomplish by the
19:56time you get to 50
19:58maybe you're 20 what would you like to
20:00accomplish by the time you get to 30
20:02or 40 50 60
20:0670 80 90. what would you like to
20:09accomplish
20:10and if you're not typing right now i i i
20:13guess you're saying
20:14i really don't know or i don't care
20:19because you you have to have a passion
20:22for the goal
20:24you see i am a purpose-driven guy
20:28there's a goal for me personally in my
20:30life
20:31and in the ministry i have gotten
20:34strict orders from god the direction of
20:37this ministry
20:39god has given me clear instructions
20:42on the direction of this ministry so i'm
20:45a man on a mission
20:47and my purpose is to finish the mission
20:50of the faith center for my time i know
20:53beyond me
20:55there'll be another season for another
20:57person
20:58to take over the leadership i understand
21:00that
21:01you know this this is not going to die
21:03with me
21:04this is not my thing this is god's work
21:08and until he tarries you know until he
21:11comes
21:12you know we we have to do his will
21:15we have to do his work so therefore i
21:19have to develop a passion every day
21:21so every day i'm excited i'm filled with
21:25joy
21:26to come into your life to come into your
21:28space
21:29to empower you you know to correct you
21:32to give you clear instructions on your
21:36future your destiny and what you're
21:37supposed to do
21:38with your life and i believe by me doing
21:43that
21:43i'll get to the top of my goal of my
21:47accomplishments and you two should do
21:49the same
21:51whatever goals you have in mind whatever
21:53goals you have set whatever
21:55god has called you to be you have to be
21:58intentional you have to have a passion
22:00for that goal because i'm telling you
22:02the challenges of life will wear you out
22:05to the point
22:06where you get discouraged and you'll say
22:08you know what ah
22:09maybe you know i'm tired of this and
22:11you'll quit easily
22:13but when god's anointing is on you and
22:16when you
22:17follow the writings of the apostle paul
22:19in galatians 6
22:20and don't get weary get tired and get
22:23exhausted
22:25if you just keep on doing good and if
22:27you just keep on saying god
22:29i may not see you now i may not feel my
22:32breakthrough now
22:33but in due season i know god you're
22:36going to make a way for me
22:37i know you're going to open doors i know
22:39you're going to prove yourself to me
22:41then the bible says you're going to reap
22:44you're going to get to the top
22:45remember don't ever lose sight of this
22:48it's getting to the top
22:50hello do you want to get to the top
22:54so make sure you have the passion for
22:56the goal number five
22:58building the strength
23:01to finish the job building strength
23:05to finish the job listen you're going to
23:07start out and i know i'm preaching to
23:09you right now and you're getting excited
23:11and you're saying thank you henry you
23:13know i'm going to finish the job but
23:14look at here man if you don't have the
23:16strength you're not going to finish
23:18so you have to ask god god give me the
23:20strength
23:22every day you have to refuel yourself by
23:25praying
23:25reading the word of god you know making
23:28sure that you
23:29download nothing but positivity
23:32in your mind that's how you gain
23:35strength
23:36you see you will never start nor finish
23:39your goals
23:40without committing to the to doing these
23:44five things
23:47life starts i believe with having
23:50a vision for it you have to have a
23:52vision for it
23:54whenever you have a vision for life
23:59i firmly believe that passion will be
24:02your friend
24:04and you'll have a purpose that will
24:06drive you to fulfill
24:08those goals and without a plan or
24:11without a vision for your life
24:13you will waste your life living an
24:17average life it's not god's intention
24:20for you to live an average life
24:22in fact you will become like a ship
24:24sailing without a navigation
24:28without navigation without any
24:30navigation
24:31in other words without a direction you
24:33don't know where you're going
24:35so you have to live your life with
24:38vision
24:40what's the vision for your life
24:43again i go back and i ask you what are
24:45your goals for the next 10 years of your
24:48life
24:4820 years have you written it down the
24:50bible says write the vision
24:53make it plain make it plain
24:57you say well henry i've got it up here
24:59yeah you got it up here but you may need
25:01to write it down
25:02somewhere especially with all this
25:05technology we have now
25:06your tablets your phone you know your
25:10computer
25:11and so forth so here's where i think
25:14many people
25:15have failed in life resulting in them
25:19being
25:21um you know unfulfilled
25:26i believe that they fail in life
25:30resulting in them being unfulfilled
25:33is number one they pursue relationships
25:36and material things
25:37without first understanding its purpose
25:41see if you're not driven by faith if
25:43you're driven by your flesh
25:45and if it's your flesh that's driving
25:47you to have
25:48partnership with people whether it is
25:50friendship
25:51whether it is dating whether it is
25:54leading to marriage and so forth
25:56if it's not faith driven god my faith is
25:59in you
26:00not myself and others then you're going
26:03to fail
26:05so people pursue relationships
26:09material things and don't understand the
26:11purpose of it what's the purpose of
26:13friendship
26:14it's not so that someone else feeds into
26:17your cravings
26:19what's the purpose for dating someone
26:21it's not that that person can give you
26:23exactly what you want
26:24it's not a one-sided thing what's the
26:27purpose for marriage
26:29it's not so that you can benefit
26:32just to please yourself
26:35think about that for a moment you got to
26:38understand the purpose for marriage
26:40the purpose for a relationship the
26:42purpose for friendship
26:43the purpose for dating you got to
26:45understand the purpose for family the
26:47purpose for the car
26:49the purpose for the house the house is
26:51not your god
26:52because many people cry oh god give me
26:54your house give me the down payment
26:56the moment they get the house to car and
26:58so forth even the job
27:00they spend very little time in the word
27:02very little time going to church
27:04you know it's amazing how our generation
27:07today
27:07have become so self-sufficient
27:11that that we we are kind of kind of
27:14rewriting scripture we're doing things
27:16on our own
27:17and we think you know just because we're
27:19getting by because you still have your
27:20job
27:21you're making ends meet and you've got
27:22your money coming in but let me tell you
27:24something sweetheart
27:26life has a way of throwing you a
27:28curveball
27:30and at the end of the day if you think
27:32god can be mocked
27:34that after you've ignored him
27:37and just because things were well with
27:39you and you forgot the purpose
27:42watch this you forgot the purpose of
27:44church
27:45the bible prayer the purpose of the
27:49people
27:49god placed in your life the purpose of
27:52the the man or the woman you're dating
27:54the purpose of the person you're married
27:56to when you forget that
27:58come on now and desperation hits you and
28:01the challenges of life hit you
28:03and you're not driven by faith you're
28:05driven by your flesh
28:06you're gonna mess your life up come on
28:08now preach good
28:10preach good boy i'm telling you man this
28:12is good stuff
28:13number two i believe many people
28:17fail in life result in them
28:20resulting in them being unfulfilled
28:23is they lack consistency that's why paul
28:26said
28:27that you you you can't get tired
28:30you got to keep on pushing they lack
28:33consistency
28:34whenever you pursue relationships with
28:36people and don't understand the purpose
28:38of those relationships going back again
28:41to what i said before and how they fit
28:43into your life
28:44you set yourself up for failure many
28:47lack consistency
28:49because they lack faithfulness
28:53when you're not faithful you will not be
28:56consistent
28:57hebrews 10 23 says let us hold
29:00fast to the confession hold on baby
29:03hold on to it you know hold on to it
29:06don't let it go
29:08because life will throw you some
29:10situations
29:12that would make you want to let go of
29:15what you're confessing
29:17it says here let us hold fast to uh
29:20to the confession of our hope which is
29:22our faith
29:23without wavering for he who promised
29:27is faithful god is always faithful
29:31so as i try to close this here are three
29:34or here are
29:35three of the most valuable attributes
29:39we must have in life in order to succeed
29:41these are
29:42valuable things number one the ability
29:45to foresee you got to have vision
29:48the ability to say i see myself in the
29:51future
29:51therefore i'm driven by faith to get
29:54there
29:55i see myself i see that my family be
29:58successful
29:59i see that god's gonna bless me with a
30:02great relationship with my fiance
30:05or with good friends or bless me with a
30:09good marriage or
30:10god i see my house i see those material
30:13things which are not my god
30:15or you know the gods that that
30:18you know considered as material things
30:21that will replace
30:22god but but i see myself with those
30:25things because i know

30:39number two the courage to give birth to
30:42your conviction the courage to give

30:56birth to that conviction number three
30:58the tenacity to finish what you have
31:01started
31:02because a lot of people can start
31:05but they can't finish are you hearing me

31:12there's so many people will do
31:14everything in life
31:17and they start a lot of stuff so many
31:19people start new companies
31:22you know new businesses you know so many
31:24people start relationships where they
31:26can't finish it
31:27so many people start saving but they
31:29can't finish it so many people start
31:31exercising
31:32but they can't finish so many people
31:34start going back to school you know
31:36i'm going to acquire a degree but they
31:38can't finish you got to finish
31:42you got to finish it's important if you
31:44don't learn to finish my friends
31:46i'm telling you the enemy is going to
31:49play tricks on you
31:50and he is going to win you have to be
31:53driven by faith driven by faith that god
31:57i see my future i see my good outcome
32:01i'm driven by faith praise god because
32:04i have the conviction to give birth to

32:18convinced glory to god that i have the

32:37are standing by waiting to laugh at you

32:44i am going to make it no matter what
32:48who am i talking to you must be driven
32:51by faith
32:52so i want to encourage you today be
32:56driven by faith now by your feelings
33:00are you hearing me not by your feelings
33:04but by faith how are you driven by faith
33:08man you got to tell yourself i gotta
33:11finish man
33:13faith doesn't stop until
33:17it reaches its goal
33:21so you make that determination that as
33:23long as i have
33:25i'm not at the top as long as i'm i
33:27haven't reached my goal
33:29i cannot quit and i cannot stop
33:32are you hearing me you've come too far
33:36to stop now you've come too far to turn
33:39back
33:40or to give up
33:43if you're going to make it to the end
33:45you have to be driven
33:47by faith father thank you
33:50for speaking to your people right now

34:01someone is going to develop
34:04faith in such a way that they're going

34:16to the point of frustration and wanting
34:19me to quit that
34:20i am going to be driven only by faith
34:24i pray that they will declare god that
34:26their best days are ahead of them

34:34believing that

34:39hope in you and i give you praise for it
