0:12from The Book of Amos chapter 9.
0:161 verse verse 14
0:18Amos 9
0:21verse 14.
0:23and it says and I will bring my People
0:27Israel back from exile
0:30they will rebuild the ruined cities
0:35and live in them
0:38they will plant Vineyards and drink
0:40their wine
0:42they will make Gardens and eat their
0:47fruit
0:49when I read that
0:51I was really moved by
0:55how the author
0:58place
0:59certain words in this verse certain
1:04words that jumped out at me and
1:07hopefully they will also to you
1:11because he says
1:14rebuild
1:17then he talked about plant Vineyards
1:20then he said drink their wine
1:23and make their Gardens and eat their
1:27fruit all those things are positive
1:30things
1:31all those things are things that all of
1:34us would desire
1:36all of us desire to rebuild our lives
1:40because the truth is most of us can
1:44honestly say we're not really where we
1:46should be
1:48regardless of what caused us to miss out
1:52on God and miss out on the opportunities
1:54uh in life most of us can honestly say
1:58we're we're not really where we should
2:00be because of Life circumstances you
2:04know perhaps maybe family drama maybe
2:07bad decisions that we have made we're
2:10not our at our best self
2:13and all of us desire to rebuild our
2:16lives
2:17it is our passion to be in the perfect
2:20will of God it is our passion according
2:23to the writer to plant Vineyards and to
2:26drink from those Vineyards or to reap or
2:30to benefit from our plantain and then it
2:34is our desire to make Gardens if you
2:38will to live a life that causes us to
2:42flourish
2:43just because we're Christians doesn't
2:46mean our lives ought to be less than
2:48people who don't even believe in God
2:51where did we get this from
2:54where did we get this idea from just
2:56because we are Christians we are to live
2:58this moderate
3:00very conservative there's that word
3:03conservative conservative lifestyle
3:07where we shouldn't want for anything
3:09good we should just be very simple in
3:12life just get by just have enough and
3:16our goal is to die and go to heaven and
3:20get our reward
3:21thank you
3:24that's it
3:26we just want to live on this Earth every
3:29day walking around and telling people
3:32Jesus loves you and if they don't
3:35receive Jesus then you're quick to say
3:37you're going to go to hell if you don't
3:39receive the Lord
3:42so our passion is to walk around and and
3:45instead of giving good news a lot of
3:47times we're condemning people
3:50and we're not living the life that Amos
3:54is talking about here that God wants to
3:56bring us from exile
3:59God wants to bring us from a place that
4:02we've been robbed a place that we've
4:04been deprived so that we can rebuild our
4:08lives and he's speaking to a lot of us
4:11today he wants you to rebuild your life
4:13forget the drama forget the issues that
4:16took place years ago forget all the
4:19battles you had to fight to get to where
4:21you are today God really truly wants you
4:26to rebuild your life
4:29he wants to repair your life
4:32he wants to give you a good reason to
4:34exist
4:36he wants you to plant Vineyards back in
4:41those days you know they will take care
4:45of these wineries you know their plant
4:48the grapes
4:49and Those Grapes will turn into wine
4:53and what the word of God is saying God's
4:55desire is for you to rebuild your lives
4:58and become productive please don't miss
5:00this to become productive where you
5:03begin to plant your Vineyards and here's
5:06the amazing thing about it God doesn't
5:08want you to die and just pass on the the
5:13benefits of The Vineyards to the next
5:15generation without you first enjoying it
5:21laughs
5:23well let's look at the scripture again
5:25he said they will build they will build
5:27the ruined cities he wants to rebuild to
5:30rebuild your lives and then he says I
5:33want you to plant Vineyards and to drink
5:35from it
5:39maybe nobody has told you in a long time
5:42that God doesn't want you to to to
5:45hustle and to rebuild your life on a
5:48daily basis where you can't partake of
5:51it
5:53because what the scripture is saying
5:55they plant these Vineyards
5:57and God is saying he wants you to live
6:00long enough to go through the age and
6:03process of the Great
6:06so that all of what you have labored for
6:10and planted God says I want you to sit
6:13around the table and sip your wine
6:17enjoy the fruit of your labor
6:23so for those of you who think that God
6:25just wants to for you to work hard and
6:28work hard and just pass it on to the
6:30next generation and you die and go to to
6:32Heaven that's not what the scripture is
6:35saying
6:40he says I want you to plant so you have
6:43to do your part
6:45he says you have to rebuild
6:47he says watch this I will bring my
6:50People Israel back from Exile and they
6:53will rebuild he didn't say I will
6:54rebuild
6:56hmm
6:59he didn't say I am going to rebuild the
7:02things that ruined you
7:05he said you will
7:08you will take ownership of your destiny
7:11you can't go back and fix all the years
7:13you've made dumb mistakes and decisions
7:16but God says now that you're in a new
7:18season a season of transition
7:20here's what I want you to do I I'm
7:23bringing you back from Exile I'm
7:25bringing you back to to the place watch
7:27this that you've been robbed the dignity
7:29as a young lady the dignity as a woman
7:33and and and and and just the the the the
7:35boldness and the strength as a man I'm
7:38bringing you back to that place because
7:40you lost it
7:43and then I'm going to use you to rebuild
7:48I want you to rebuild your life
7:51I want you to take ownership of your
7:53destiny I want you to decide that you
7:56deserve better I want you to decide that
7:59this is not all that God has for you I
8:03want you to decide that you're going to
8:05work and you're going to plan you're
8:07going to cultivate you're going to come
8:09up with an idea and you're going to put
8:11it to work and I want you to sit down
8:14one day after you have labored and I
8:17want you to sip from your labor I want
8:19you to enjoy the fruit of your labor
8:25you see the greatest need in our lives
8:28today as has very little to do with our
8:33wants
8:34and more to do with getting back into
8:36the will of God the perfect will of God
8:39and that is God is saying I'm bringing
8:42you back from Exile I'm bringing you
8:44back to a place where
8:46I want you to repair yourself
8:50I want you to become your best self
8:53I want you to recover from the losses
8:56you've had
8:58I want you to recover from the
9:00Brokenness that you have experienced
9:03because all of us we need to be restored
9:05to the image of how God sees us
9:09the word restore means to bring back or
9:12to return to its former condition place
9:16or position
9:18so in the context of today's message you
9:21must understand that God wants you
9:24restored
9:26if you can get that in your spirit that
9:29God wants you restored you will no
9:32longer settle for average
9:37you will no longer walking around having
9:39a pity party blaming everybody for the
9:43drama that you've experienced in your
9:45lifetime because God wants you to get
9:48back into your original state your
9:51original condition your original
9:53position the one that he has designed
9:56for you
9:58he wants you to get back to that place
10:01and you're not there
10:03maybe you're on your way there but
10:06you're not there and and and he's not
10:08pleased with how you have settled for
10:12average
10:14that's not how he has created you that's
10:18not who he has created you to be not to
10:20be an average person
10:22We All Fall Down we all get knocked down
10:26but what are you going to do after
10:28you've been knocked down
10:31he wants you to pick the broken pieces
10:33of your life and though you have been
10:36messed up
10:37though you don't have it all together
10:40God is restoring you
10:44and that's why he sent me here today to
10:46tell you he's restoring you
10:50as broken as you are mentally
10:53emotionally God says I'm restoring you
10:57I'm using the Brokenness of your life
11:01all of the issues that you've been
11:03through I'm using it to put you back
11:05together again
11:07oh I don't know who this word is for
11:09this morning
11:12he wants you to get back into
11:15the original state that he created you
11:17to be
11:18God wants to bring you back from Exile
11:22the place you have been robbed and
11:24denied the opportunity to thrive and
11:28access His blessings
11:30let's look at Amos 9 14 again because it
11:33it spoke volume to me
11:36the word of the Lord says and I will
11:38bring my People Israel back from Exile
11:42they will rebuild somebody say I will
11:46rebuild
11:47come on you ought to save more
11:49convincingly man
11:51say it again I will rebuild
11:55that's the word of the Lord the Lord
11:56says they will rebuild the ruined cities
12:00the ruined cities
12:03most of you if you walk around and you
12:05look in your life right now there's a
12:07lot of things that were ruined
12:09your pride your dignity
12:12your love your heart
12:15you've been in relationships that have
12:18ruined you
12:20've broken you
12:22your family
12:24there's a lot of drama in the family
12:28there's a lot of issues that you've gone
12:29through
12:31when you look at your life it's been
12:32ruined
12:34by people you trusted
12:37it's been ruined
12:39by the job that you're on
12:42it's been ruined unfortunately even by
12:45the church you attend or once attended
12:49every one of us have had experiences
12:52where our lives have been ruined but
12:56according to the word of God it says
12:58here they will plant Vineyards here's
13:01the question I have for you today what
13:03are you planting
13:05what are you planting what are you
13:07planting bitterness
13:10anger rage
13:13playing the blame game
13:16he did that to me she did this to me how
13:20long have you left that person
13:22it's been five years
13:24it's been 10 years they're no longer in
13:27your life
13:29you left that dude long time ago
13:32yeah I know he damaged you but he's gone
13:35can't you see he posted on Facebook he's
13:37with another woman
13:41get on with your life
13:44oh they're not ready for this man get on
13:47with your life rebuild your life rebuild
13:50your life I'm telling you God is a God
13:53who specialize in bringing broken pieces
13:56together and honey let me tell you
13:58something when you allow God to build
14:00your life up all the naysayers all the
14:04people who wish you bad will step back
14:07and look at you and can't believe that
14:10God did all all of those things in your
14:14life
14:16God knows how to repair you
14:23there's a lot of people right now who
14:25hate your guts but they're following you
14:27they're watching you
14:29and ain't nothing like a hater Watching
14:33God bless you
14:35Oh Glory to God man
14:39that every day he prepares a table
14:42before you in the presence of your
14:44enemies every day that's picking up the
14:47phone and they're just watching you
14:48getting blessed they're just watching
14:50God Prosper you for all the evil they
14:52intended for you to have God just turned
14:55it around for your good am I talking to
14:58anybody in this building and those of
15:01you are streaming
15:05foreign
15:06the truth is
15:08right now
15:10you are not a true reflection of what
15:14God created you to be
15:16you're not therefore you're not
15:18functioning at your best self and act
15:22full capacity in your assignment in your
15:26assignment you have an assignment to
15:30rebuild
15:33I don't know who I'm talking to
15:36you've been ruined
15:38you've been ripped apart
15:40but you have a duty
15:43to rebuild
15:46that's your assignment get yourself
15:49together
15:51get yourself together
15:54get your act together it's time to
15:57rebuild
15:58you have an assignment to plant you have
16:01an assignment to invest you have an
16:04assignment to be creative you have an
16:06assignment to work things out so that
16:09later you can benefit from the efforts
16:12that you put in today
16:19all throughout your life
16:22a lot has happened
16:24a lot has happened to you
16:26and instead of maturing and gaining you
16:30have lost your identity your dignity
16:33your joy your peace
16:35your purpose and sadly your relevance
16:43there are many of you streaming right
16:44now and you're in this building let's
16:48tell the truth
16:50you're not happy
16:54you are not
16:56you're not fully satisfied with life
17:01and you're pretending
17:04and God doesn't get excited when we
17:08function under false pretense
17:14You've Lost Your relevance
17:17you are just existing
17:19you're just functioning every day you
17:22get up you go through the routine when
17:25there's an assignment
17:27their Vineyards to plant
17:30there are wineries to take care of
17:33there's a transition that God is trying
17:36to activate in you there are things that
17:40God wants to do because when you go
17:42through the process he wants you to
17:45taste and see the fine wine
17:49that he has created through your life
17:54but you're sitting there
17:55and you're pretending
17:58you've lost your joy
18:00you have lost your dignity You've Lost
18:03Your Peace your sense of purpose and
18:07your relevance
18:09God sent you to impact people
18:12there are people in your inner circle
18:14that is sent directly to you to be
18:16impacted by you
18:18whether it is in family whether it's in
18:21in business don't you know many of you
18:23have got some deep business ideas in you
18:27but because you've been ruined mentally
18:30and emotionally you are not out there
18:32doing what God has called you to do so
18:35therefore You've Lost Your relevance you
18:37don't even impacting anybody
18:39any sector of society anymore
18:42because you're no longer pushed in
18:45you no longer believe in you're not no
18:48longer believing that you can recover
18:51from the damage
18:55maybe it's because of the people you're
18:57hanging out with
19:00maybe the people that you're hanging out
19:02with are not pushing you
19:05from exile
19:07maybe they're not pushing you into your
19:10purpose maybe they are reminding you of
19:14your Brokenness
19:15your dysfunction
19:18maybe they're reminding you of your pain
19:20and your losses
19:23but you have very few people in your
19:24life who are there to push you to let
19:27you understand that God wants you to
19:31make Gardens
19:33where you can eat from
19:36on this Earth
19:39that you can partake of that you can
19:41benefit from
19:44and for these reasons I need you to
19:48understand that God is restoring you and
19:52listen to me for those of you who are
19:55living a shameful life all these years
19:58God sent me here today to tell you stop
20:01it
20:04stop it I don't care what you've been
20:07through there's nothing to be ashamed of
20:11everything that you've been through God
20:14is using it to restore you
20:20Isaiah 61 verse 7
20:23it says instead of your shame listen
20:26carefully now
20:27instead of your shame you will receive a
20:32double portion
20:35foreign
20:41you will receive a double portion
20:46who told you that you can't be blessed
20:49after Brokenness who tells you that God
20:52can't give you more than what you've
20:55lost come on now he said I will give you
20:59double portion I don't know if there's
21:01anybody who's ready to receive double
21:03portion in 2022. double
21:10and instead of disgrace you'll rejoice
21:13in your inheritance then we talk about
21:15peace and joy and happiness a moment ago
21:19instead of disgrace
21:22the truth is so many of you out there
21:24you're so worried about what people
21:25think and say about you that it is it
21:29has prohibited you
21:31from embracing what God is saying God
21:34says you're going to rejoice
21:37you're going to rejoice and then he says
21:40and so will you inherit a double portion
21:42and he's talking double again a double
21:45portion in your land the land that
21:47you've been planting gardens the land
21:49that you've been planting Vineyards
21:53the very thing that you tried that
21:55failed
21:56and you're like huh uh I ain't gonna try
21:59it again it never worked God is saying
22:01I'm restoring you for you to rebuild
22:06because just
22:08sometimes what you need to understand my
22:10friends it is that
22:13sometimes the reason why certain things
22:15didn't work
22:16it's not that it wasn't the will of God
22:19watch this it's not that it wasn't the
22:22right season
22:24it's just that you weren't doing it
22:26God's way
22:31I have Bible to prove it remember when
22:33Peter was in the boat
22:36and the Bible says Peter was fishing all
22:38night
22:39he was fishing man he was fishing
22:42and they had a net
22:44right and they threw the net on the left
22:48side of the boat
22:50because all night they were fishing on
22:52the left
22:53same water
22:55same environment
22:56they had a net they had all the tools
22:59but they were over on the left side
23:02they got tired
23:03frustrated like us you tried something
23:06over and over it doesn't work
23:09they pack up folding their Nets Jesus
23:12met them hey what's up Brothers what's
23:15what are you doing okay we didn't catch
23:17anything Jesus said come back come back
23:19come back and I could just imagine
23:21they're thinking ain't no fish in that
23:23water
23:25ain't no breakthrough there
23:27we tried it you just came on the scene
23:31we've been at it all night
23:34and I'm telling you we threw the net
23:38down ain't no fish in that water
23:42it's amazing how many of you will say
23:46ain't nothing good can come out of
23:48certain things when a stranger can come
23:51and get blessed
23:58Jesus said no throw your net on the
24:00other side
24:02sometimes we're just doing things the
24:04wrong way
24:07sometimes our trust and our faith has
24:10just been cast into the wrong things
24:17Jesus said throw it on the other side
24:21[Music]
24:22the moment they did
24:26double portion
24:27[Applause]
24:30the moment they threw the net on the
24:32right side all of a sudden they're
24:35pulling up they're pulling up and when
24:36they got enough fish in the net they had
24:40to scream out to other fishermen we
24:42can't keep all of this fish come get
24:45some how would you like God to bless you
24:48so much you have to call your neighbor
24:51your cousin your uncle family members
24:54come get some of this blessing that God
24:56is pouring into my life am I talking to
24:59any hungry people here today
25:03foreign
25:05God man
25:09God wants to give you double that's his
25:11word
25:12so life has a way of hitting us with
25:14situations that will leave us broken
25:17distorted and disfigured
25:20that's true
25:22meaning that we are not at our best
25:25and we're not producing our best
25:27god-given abilities and this is the
25:31reason we need to be healed this is the
25:34reason we need to come back to God
25:37and rebuild
25:39we do need that Jeremiah 17 verse 14. I
25:43love this
25:44and many of us should be crying this out
25:47to God today Heal Me O Lord
25:52and I will be healed
25:54if you really ask God to restore you
25:58he will
26:01if you stop complaining about what
26:03you've been through if you stop
26:05complaining about well you tried it
26:07didn't work and you've been at it for
26:09years and so no no if you just say Lord
26:11Heal my doubts
26:15healed my fears
26:18I tell you what if if there was ever
26:21a fierce skin or scanner you know when
26:25you go to the airport
26:27and they tell you to stretch your hands
26:28out
26:29they go like this
26:31and all of a sudden beep beep beep beep
26:33beep beep beep beep beep beep okay they
26:35look oh it's your belt and so forth if I
26:38had a fear scanner
26:48I guarantee over here it was
26:54some of you will be
27:01thank you
27:09we are consumed by fear
27:14we don't be ashamed
27:16we don't want to fail
27:18[Music]
27:21we're scared
27:23we don't want to go out there and
27:26rebuild we are a bunch of people who
27:30want magic
27:33lay your hands on me pastor and once I
27:37lay my hands on your bam there it is I
27:39don't have to rebuild I don't have to
27:41work for it I can just get it I can just
27:43get it with a spiritual High
27:47amen
27:48the Lord says I'm going to take you back
27:51from Exile but you
27:53have to rebuild
27:58if you cry out to God heal me
28:03and I'll be healed
28:05save me and I'll be saved
28:09for you are the one I praise when your
28:12focus is on God and God Alone
28:17that is impossible to be at your best
28:20self
28:22and stay broken
28:26you have a choice this morning you can
28:28you can stay broken
28:30you can live with this
28:33Pie in the Sky belief
28:36oh you can say God I want the ruined
28:39errors of my life to be rebuilt
28:43I want to be restored
28:45I want my life situations
28:49to be the tool by which you use to
28:53restore my life
28:55into your perfect will
28:58so why many of us are focusing on what
29:00led up to the cause of our Brokenness
29:04I believe that God is used in our life
29:06situations to restore us to his original
29:10intent and by the way everyone gets
29:14broken everyone gets broken everyone
29:17gets broken
29:18everyone gets twisted and deformed by
29:23life issues everybody everybody
29:26everybody
29:27in this building everybody's streaming
29:30Life as a way of twisting us of causing
29:34us to feel broken just because you see
29:38somebody smiling just because you see
29:40somebody dressed up have makeup on or
29:43whatever they've got on don't you ever
29:45for one moment think that life has
29:48always been pretty
29:55foreign
29:56the difference between us and some of
30:00you is simply this
30:03we have made up in our minds quitting is
30:06not an option
30:10come on do I have some weaknesses here
30:12today
30:13that we're going to fight
30:15through life
30:17and we're going to take the restoration
30:19of God what he's doing in our lives I
30:22want to conclude with this today by
30:25saying that we're incapable of
30:27performing at our best
30:29when we continue to function the way we
30:32are
30:33and that is ignoring our need
30:37to be restored
30:40we won't function at our best self
30:43when you don't think
30:45you need to rebuild
30:48when you don't think
30:50you need to try something differently
30:54I believe I'm sent here today to declare
30:57to many of you
30:58that God is restoring you
31:01and that he's using watch this it's it's
31:04it's it's really weird
31:06he's using the very things that broke
31:09you
31:10to restore you
31:18one of my favorite stories in the Bible
31:22it's found in
31:24job 42.
31:27and I close with this
31:30job 42
31:33I'll focus on verse 10.
31:36brother job
31:39was not a poor man
31:42to say that he was poor and got rich
31:45job was introduced to us as a wealthy
31:48man who had it all together
31:52right had it all together
31:55and the Bible says life circumstances
31:58confronted him he lost it all
32:02so for those of you who think
32:05Misfortune only happened to people who
32:08don't have it
32:10or who grew up poor
32:14I guess you don't know your Bible
32:18every one of us rich or poor
32:21will face some situations in life
32:24that will rob us
32:27of what we hold on to dearly
32:30job had it all
32:33had it all
32:36the Bible says one dilemma after the
32:39next and I don't know who I'm talking to
32:42you feel like job
32:44you get this bad news and when you think
32:47it couldn't get worse you're hit with
32:49another news you're hit with just
32:51constant negatives
32:55job lost it all
32:59he lost his children
33:04he got into a domestic
33:06altercation with his wife
33:10a huge disagreement with his wife
33:13marital problems
33:17maybe his wife was concerned about him
33:19because she was saying look I look
33:23we had the house we had the car the
33:26Chariots we had everything
33:29I understand you're laying up on this
33:30bed and you sick
33:32we got bills to pay
33:35we lost the kids
33:37what we gonna do
33:39and you still sitting up in here talking
33:40about you trusting God
33:42[Music]
33:43she's talking like a human being
33:47how long are you going to sit we've lost
33:49everything
33:51I used to ride High
33:57if I need to go get my nails done I
33:59called for The Chariot Chad was right
34:02there
34:03I know I was living Job wife was living
34:06good yeah
34:08so when she lost it it was an argument
34:11hey
34:12what you gonna do about this we can't
34:15keep living like this
34:18and job just sitting there
34:21the lord giveth the Lord take it away
34:24blessed be the name of the Lord
34:26God I trust you I mean she was looking
34:29at him like really dude
34:32why here's what she said
34:35why don't you just Curse God man
34:37and die
34:40you'd be surprised to see the
34:41foolishness that comes out of people's
34:43mouth
34:45when they're stressed
34:47she was stressed
34:49just Curse God and let's just die
34:53in other words the woman was trying to
34:54say I'd rather die without all the stuff
34:57I used to have
34:58I want all them stuff back
35:01and if we can't get it take me home
35:10job had to rebuke her
35:13because he was determined
35:16to focus on God
35:19and these are the words
35:21first 10 declares
35:25Dr Jobe had prayed for his friends
35:31the people who were saying you stupid
35:35you crazy
35:38there's God's stuff this church stuff
35:40you crazy man
35:42what did it what did it what did it do
35:44for you you're going to church all these
35:46weeks and Sundays and serving God and
35:49you brother job talk about you love God
35:51you're reading your word daily you're
35:52committed to the Temple and so forth
35:54you're doing all of that you stupid
35:57where's your God you lost everything
36:01where's your God
36:04somebody must have worked witchcraft on
36:06you because that ain't normal
36:08it ain't normal for somebody to lose all
36:10their possession their kids start dying
36:12if so that that ain't normal that's
36:15witchcraft
36:19job prayed for his friends
36:22what was he praying for
36:24their faith
36:26because their fate failed them
36:29there's a lot of people
36:31who will only serve God Faithfully as
