0:29>> everybody. Well, and blessed. Yes,

0:35>> I tell you, the worship was rich this
0:38morning.
0:39>> What a precious anointing.
0:42The grace of God abounds.
0:45>> And thank God that we can meet in the
0:48house of God.

0:52allowed to meet. It's illegal.
0:55>> They have to do it under the threat of

0:58>> Thank God we have the freedom to do

1:10much for always welcoming me. What a
1:14dear, dear pastors you have. Amen. Can
1:16we give God praise for them? You know,
1:21we give Jesus all the praise. He's the
1:23one that paid the price. He gave his
1:25life. But we wouldn't know without a
1:28preacher. Amen.
1:29>> And the word says, give honor where
1:31honor is due.
1:33>> And I know when we in a house always,
1:35sometimes we take things for granted.
1:38>> But I want you to know, I've traveled
1:39the world. And I want to encourage you.
1:41I know many of you know this, but I just
1:43want to remind you, never take for
1:46granted what you have here.
1:48>> The living word of God practiced without
1:51compromise.
1:53And thank you for our friendship. Our
1:55people back home are so excited that
1:57you're coming. Amen. And we It'll be for
2:01our conference. We have our annual
2:02conference. We're celebrating 32 years
2:05as a church this year. And Jesus is
2:08building his church in South Africa.
2:11And my wife sends her greetings. Janine
2:14uh she's not with us today because she's
2:16back home looking after a whole bunch of
2:18grandchildren.
2:20U my eldest daughter Brittany has
2:22already given us three. her and her
2:25husband Voter and it's Noah, Ezekiel,
2:27and Malachi, three boys.
2:30And then our second daughter Michaela
2:33with her husband Miguel have given us a
2:36grandson Leonardo.
2:39My son jokes and he says, "We were going
2:41through the Bible names and now we've
2:43gone with the Ninja Turtles."
2:47And so he, my son, he's the youngest.
2:51Him with his wife Nikki have just
2:53announced at Christmas that she's now
2:56pregnant with our fifth a little girl.
2:58The first girl coming now, Olivia. Amen.
3:03And the amazing thing is doctors told us
3:07that neither one of us can have
3:09children.
3:11My wife and myself, both of us medically
3:14speaking, are incapable of producing
3:16children. But thank God for his word.
3:20>> And when the doctors told us that, my
3:23wife and I got up on our bed one day and
3:25we got out the scriptures and we looked
3:26up everything to do with children.
3:29>> And not once was it under the blessing
3:32that you won't have children.
3:34>> It was always under the curse.
3:36And every time God remembered someone,
3:39they fell pregnant.
3:40>> Isn't that right?
3:42>> And then I came across the scripture,
3:44Proverbs 13:22.
3:46A good man leaves an inheritance to his
3:49children's children. I said, "Darling,
3:52look at this. I'm a good man. I've got
3:56children's children.
3:58>> And if I've got children's children, I
3:59have to have children in between."
4:02>> Amen. You can't bypass the children to
4:04get to the children's children.
4:06>> Amen. And so I want to encourage you if
4:09if you are trusting God for children. Is
4:12there anybody here today that is you
4:14you've been trying to fall pregnant and
4:16haven't been able to? Let me just see
4:18anyone. If you are, come here quickly. I
4:21I have faith for this. I have faith for
4:24this. I've we did it three times and uh
4:27praise God.
4:32We've got we've got children all around
4:35the world now. Amen. By faith.

5:09people say that when you're in your 40s,
5:11it's too late. But

5:25>> where's where the others?
5:27>> You, your hubby's not here.

5:57>> I went to a church one day.
6:00And I had a whole bunch of people come
6:01forward and I was praying happily. But
6:03then I got to a couple and I had this
6:05check and I said, "Are you married?" And
6:08they said, "No,
6:11you're not married and you want
6:13children.
6:15You you you do know if you're not
6:17married, you're not having sex. Hey,
6:20that's why you're not happening. You
6:23sort the marriage first,
6:26get the marriage done, and then the rest
6:29will follow.
6:31>> I was told that week they got hold of
6:33their pastor, got married, and then very
6:36soon after that, they said, "We fell
6:38pregnant."
6:39>> You get it right with God, it works.
6:41Amen. So that's why I'm just checking
6:44everybody here is married. everyone's
6:47husband in the country
6:50because that's also important.
6:54You see, faith without works is dead.
6:56You know, you got to you have to have
6:59everyone present.
7:02So, everyone's husband's here in at
7:04least in the area you live. All right.
7:07Good. Good.
7:09So, now we got all the admin out the
7:11way.
7:12Just lift your hands.
7:15Just say this.

14:02I know there's a custom here because
14:04I've asked before in other churches.
14:06It's the same back in South Africa. We
14:09want to wait for the first scan or the
14:11second scan before we tell anybody.
14:14Isn't that right? Just in case.
14:18>> But the spirit of faith is having
14:21believed I speak.
14:23>> Calling things that are not as though
14:26they are.
14:28>> We told people that we were pregnant for
14:31at least 2 years.
14:33>> Eventually they're going, "So when you
14:35going to start a show?" When that baby
14:38shows up. But we pregnant. You tell
14:42people, "Praise God, we are pregnant."
14:45And they might, doesn't matter if they
14:46understand or not.
14:48>> Amen. For some of you, it's going to be
14:50within the next few days.
14:52>> Praise God. Because you got some work to
14:54do. Amen.
14:58>> And others, and I'm not putting anything
15:00on you, you got to trust God.
15:03>> But God showed me in a vision we would
15:05have a son. But Britany came along and
15:08then Michaela four years in between each
15:11one. Other words, it took nine years
15:14before my son manifested.
15:17So don't lose faith. Don't lose hope.
15:20>> But we were saying we're pregnant from
15:22the day we prayed it.
15:23>> We were telling people, Amen.
15:26>> So you're all now going to come and well
15:29congratulate them.
15:30>> If you see them, congratulate them.
15:33Amen. Congratulations. You're pregnant.
15:35You're pregnant. Congratulations. Also,
15:39Father, I speak life to this womb in the
15:41name of Jesus. Go ahead. You can go be
15:43seated and tell people on the way.
15:45Praise God. We pregnant. We pregnant. We
15:49pregnant.
15:50Now start preparing that baby's room.
15:53Amen. Get Get that nest ready. Can we
15:56give Jesus praise?

16:03praise God. He's building his house.

16:11get into the word of God.
16:14I don't want it to feel like a a
16:15Catholic, you know, sit down, pray, sit
16:17down, kneel. But let's stand as we pray.
16:19Father, we thank you so much for your
16:21love.
16:23>> We do believe you love us.
16:25>> We know it. You're the giver of life.
16:28What a privilege and honor it is to know
16:30you as father. And so today, once again,
16:34we come to hear about you, to live in
16:37your word, to hear from heaven.
16:40Jesus, you said where you are gathered,
16:42where we are gathered, you would be
16:44there in our midst. You are that living
16:46word. And you did say that you would
16:49send the Holy Spirit when you return to
16:51the father. So we welcome you, sir.
16:53Jesus said you would come to remind us
16:55of what we've been taught, that you
16:58would guide us into truth, teaching us
17:01what we need to know as you show us
17:03things to come. And I'm trusting for
17:06that anointing today. I don't take it
17:08lightly. I submit myself under your
17:10mighty hand. I want to do as Jesus did
17:14and only say what you've given me to
17:16say.
17:17>> But I do know this as I speak your word
17:19by your grace it shall go forth with
17:21clarity and accuracy that you'd ignite
17:24every heart with faith that drives out
17:27every form of fear. And as minds are
17:30renewed to your word, understanding
17:32replaces confusion.
17:34I believe each and every one of us today
17:36are transformed from glory to glory. For
17:40this we give you alone the praise and
17:42honor in the name of Jesus. If you're
17:46ready to receive, would you shout amen?

17:51Bible at Matthew chapter 6.

18:03This is a very familiar portion of
18:06scripture.
18:08Verse 33,
18:10Jesus speaking. He says, "Seek first."
18:14Everybody say, "First."
18:16>> Seek first the kingdom of God and his
18:19righteousness,
18:21and all these things
18:23shall be added to you. How many you got
18:26some things that you need added? Let me
18:29see. Have you got you see there's
18:31nothing wrong with wanting things. Jesus
18:34had just got through saying
18:36don't worry about what you're going to
18:38eat, what you're going to drink, what
18:40you're going to wear. These are the
18:42things that the Gentiles seek. Your
18:43father knows what you need before you
18:47ask him.
18:48>> Other words, he he's he's of the
18:50impression you're going to ask. But know
18:54this, God already knows before you ask.
18:56But we still have to go ahead and ask.
18:59The point is that God doesn't mind you
19:02needing things. Sometimes people get so
19:05super spiritual, it's like, "No, I don't
19:07need anything." Well, then just stop
19:09breathing.
19:11>> You're going to need at least the next
19:13breath of fresh air.
19:15>> Isn't that right?
19:16>> So, let's not get super spiritual about
19:18these things. God knows you need things.
19:21This whole world is driven by need.
19:25These are the things that Gentiles seek.
19:26People without covenant. You think about
19:28the world system, it's all about
19:30getting. It's about getting the next.
19:31It's about getting more and more and
19:33more and more and more and more. And
19:34even when you have the more, you still
19:35even more that you want to get. And why
19:38do people get up Monday to Friday, get
19:40up and ungodly hour, you know? Well, no,
19:43every hour is godly, but you know,
19:44really, really morning hour, really
19:47early and and go out and have an
19:49argument with the wife, kick the cat on
19:51the way out, drive and, you know, shout
19:54and scream at every person on the way
19:55there. work with people we can't get on
19:58with, have fights and arguments, come
20:00home and go through the whole ritual
20:01every week. Why are we doing these
20:03things? It's about getting, getting,
20:06getting, getting, getting. But notice
20:08what Jesus said. Seek first. First
20:13implies there's at least a second.
20:16If I went for a run and came back and I
20:19told my wife, "Guess what? I came
20:21first." She's going to say, "Who did you
20:23run with?"
20:25I said, "No, it was just me." Well, you
20:28could have done that walking. No, first
20:31means there's at least a second. There
20:33are other things we're going to need in
20:35life, but he says, "Seek first."
20:39Priority. Everybody say, "Priority."
20:42>> Make the kingdom of God your priority.
20:45Now, listen to the wording. If you seek
20:48first the kingdom of God, these things
20:50will be added. What things? The things
20:52that the Gentiles seek. But you notice
20:55if you get the seek first right, Jesus
20:58takes the seek away from everything
21:00else.
21:02>> Seek first the kingdom of God, all these
21:04things will be added. There's no more
21:07seeking. You get your priority right,
21:10the seek is removed.
21:13>> Come on, give Jesus praise.
21:17So seeking implies this thing must be
21:21found. Right?
21:23>> It's not going to happen automatically.
21:25>> It's something that I'm going to have to
21:27put some action to. So, if I'm going to
21:31seek first the kingdom of God, what is
21:33that? Well, the way the Amplified puts
21:37it, seek first the kingdom of God and
21:39his righteousness. It's God's way of
21:42doing things and doing it right.
21:45Seek God's kingdom, his way of doing
21:48things, and doing them right. Say,
21:52"God's way of doing things."
21:54>> God's way
21:54>> and doing it right.
21:57>> Well, what is God's way? Remember Jesus
21:59was out with his disciples one day and
22:01he said, "Who do men say that I am?" And
22:05they said, "Well, you know, they got
22:07into reincarnation and he stopped them
22:09and said, "Hang on now. Who do you say
22:11that I am?" That's a vital question.
22:15Who do you say that I am? Who is Jesus
22:18to you?
22:20You know, for some people he's just one
22:22of the prophets, another just another
22:24religion. Other people say you can put
22:27him up there next to Father Christmas
22:29and and the tooth fairy.
22:33If that's true for somebody, then
22:34they'll never get anything out of God
22:36more than Disneyland can give them.
22:38But who's Jesus to you?
22:41Because until you know him as savior, we
22:44are destined to hell for eternity. I
22:47must know him as savior to be saved. If
22:50I don't see God as a healer, see, we
22:52didn't know God would heal our bodies
22:54and produce children until someone
22:56declared the word to us. But once I
22:58heard the word on it, I that's my Jesus.
23:01He is the giver of life. And when I
23:03received him as the giver of life, we
23:05birthed life.
23:07>> When I saw him as healer, we were
23:09healed. When I saw him as provider, I
23:12got the provision. when I see him as
23:14protector. Who is Jesus to you? Who do
23:17you say that I am?
23:22>> And Peter said, you are the Christ,
23:25the son of the living God. And Jesus
23:27said, hang on, no man told you that.
23:31>> See, Jesus even didn't tell them.
23:33>> He spoke about himself as the son of
23:35man.
23:36>> He said, you've heard from heaven.
23:39You got that from the father.
23:42And then he says something interesting
23:43in verse 18. And I also say to you that
23:47you are Peter and on this rock I will
23:50build my church and the gates of Hades
23:53shall not prevail against it. And I will
23:56give you the keys of the kingdom of
23:59heaven. I will give you the See, we
24:02seeking first the kingdom. I'm going to
24:04give you the keys of the kingdom of
24:05heaven. And whatever you bind on earth
24:07will be bound in heaven. And whatever
24:09you loose on earth will be loosed in
24:10heaven. How many you got some things you
24:12want to stop happening in your life? And
24:14when you bind it, heaven will back you
24:17up. How many you got some things you
24:18need loosed in your life? And if you
24:20loose it, heaven will back you up. How
24:22many you want to walk in that kind of
24:23authority? See, that's not going to
24:26happen until we allow Jesus to do what
24:28he said he's going to do. He said he'll
24:30give us the keys. When he said, "I will
24:33build my church."
24:35We had just planted the church in 1994
24:37and it grew very quickly and exploded
24:39and expanded and we were on a trajectory
24:42of great growth and all of a sudden
24:45somebody got hooked up with something on
24:47YouTube or some kind of videos and read
24:48a book and started sewing poison through
24:51our leadership and people started
24:53leaving the church one after the other
24:55just kept going and and I'm getting in
24:57there I'm saying God what is going on
24:59here and I mean it got to a point where
25:01it was ridiculous. I had an interview
25:03with somebody, an exit interview. They
25:05said, "They're on their way." I said,
25:06"For what reason?" They said, "I don't
25:08know." I said, "Are you not happier?"
25:09"No, we're very happy." "Is there
25:11something with the word?" "No, we love
25:13the word." "Well, then why are you
25:14going?" "Well, if all these people are
25:16leaving, there must be a problem."
25:19I'm going, "Give me a break. At least
25:21let give me something we can discuss
25:23here, but you know, if there's smoke,
25:25there must be fire kind of thing." And
25:27you and you go and and I mean we were in
25:30a desperate place
25:32>> and I went to the word and I went to the
25:34Lord and I took a time of prayer and
25:36fasting and every day I was just praying
25:38and listening. Lord, you you you give me
25:39inside. We birthe this church by your
25:41leading. We're following your
25:43instructions. What am I missing? You
25:45never wrong. And you know Jesus never
25:47fails.
25:48>> I said Jesus never fails.
25:50>> If he says he's going to build his

26:14reading. You you understand what that
26:16is? Internal reading. But I'm going to
26:18say it out loud so you can hear what
26:20happened in my spirit. I got down to
26:22this and he says to Peter, he says,
26:28"And I also say to you, you're Peter."
26:31I'm just reading. "And on this rock, I
26:34will build my church."
26:39>> Whoa.
26:41>> So, I stopped and I went back.
26:44>> I say to you that you're Peter and on
26:46this rock I will build my church. Wow.
26:54>> And I went and read it a third time and
26:57it was exactly the same.
26:59>> Come on. How many of you us you know the
27:02the the 19s birth? You know how you were
27:06born in the '9s?
27:10You you remember the days you you'd get
27:12a whipping.
27:13>> You say something wrong to to mom and
27:15dad sideswipes. You understand? You know
27:19what I'm talking about?
27:21How many you know dad's loving he's a
27:23great guy but there were times that uh
27:26you know we would do things and he say
27:27Allan and you know you just you know
27:29check me but how you know sometimes
27:31there was a moment when you did
27:32something the voice changed
27:34>> it was just an emphasis and you knew you
27:37crossed the line you should not have
27:38crossed how you know what I'm talking
27:39about that's exactly what I was feeling
27:42at that moment I will build my church I
27:47Whoa
27:49What is happening here? And I went
27:52internal. I just listened. Lord, what
27:54what are you saying? And this revel
27:57revelation grew up in me. I realized
28:00somewhere along the line, I had taken
28:02the reigns. See, when we planted the
28:05church, it was all God. We I was naive.
28:07I didn't know what to do. I'm listening
28:09to the Holy Spirit. Everything must be
28:10Holy Spirit. What's God saying? What we
28:12going to do next? Lord, you lead. You
28:14lead. But what happens is very quickly
28:16you get into a ritual. You know, you
28:18sing three fast and three slow songs and
28:21then you do the offering and and then
28:22you go to a conference and you see, wow,
28:24that's a good idea and we bring it home.
28:27We see something on TV and we think
28:29that'll work here and we do it and we
28:31start doing things just cuz they sound
28:33like good ideas, but did he ask to do
28:36it? Have you realized there are things
28:38that will work in Cape Town that will
28:40not work here in Fort Lauderdale?
28:46>> I get good ideas. As I look around, I
28:48see, "Oh, that's nice. That's pretty."
28:49I'm not talking about decor. I'm talking
28:51about how God's going to build his
28:53church. Because Psalm 127 verse1 says,
28:56"Unless the Lord builds the house, they
28:59labor in vain." Who build it? It's not
29:03even like you're doing something else.
29:05Listen to the object and the subject. It
29:07is unless the Lord builds the house,
29:12they labor in vain who build it. You can
29:14be doing the work for God. He'd never
29:18asked me to build a church for him.
29:22>> He said he would build his church.
29:29>> I don't want to labor in vain. That's
29:31where the toil is. That's when you're
29:33struggling. That's when you sweating.
29:35And then we put it on the people. Oh,
29:37the people don't come and the people
29:38don't give and the people don't. No. If
29:40God's involved, he speaks to the people.
29:43He leads us. He shows us. He guides us.
29:48And so I have to give the reigns back to
29:49him. Say, "Father, I ask you to forgive
29:51me." Whatever. I dumped so much stuff. I
29:55dumped so much stuff.
29:59Just closed programs, closed
30:01departments, and went back to listening
30:04to God. What is his original instruction
30:09to the church?
30:11Matthew chap 28 verse 18 Jesus came and
30:16spoke to them saying all authority has
30:19been given to me in heaven and on earth.
30:21Go therefore and make disciples of all
30:25the nations baptizing them in the name
30:28of the father and the son and the holy
30:29spirit and teach them to observe all
30:32things that I have commanded you and lo
30:34I am with you always even to the end of
30:36the age. Amen. How many you want Jesus
30:40with you? That he's the one building his
30:42church. Well, what's his instruction? He
30:45said, "Go make disciples, not converts,
30:50>> not church attenders."
30:53>> The word disciple
30:56means student,
30:59>> a pupil. He says, "Teach them."

31:07is I want someone come volunteer for me
31:08as a disciple quickly.

31:41people to church and they say no. See
31:43you don't have to start by inviting to
31:45church

31:48>> But I can start having a conversation

31:55I started with somebody one day. I said,
31:57"How's your relationship with God?" I
31:58treat everybody like they already are
32:00serving Jesus. I I just assume you must
32:03love God. Amen.

32:08>> So, how's your relationship with your
32:09father? And the person said to me, I'm
32:12not religious. I said, praise God.
32:13Neither am I. Now, we can have a
32:15conversation.
32:17See, I'm not talking to you about
32:18religion.
32:20>> How's your relationship with God? And
32:22so, we start to have the difficult
32:23conversations. Roarius may have
32:26questions. You know, I hear down there
32:28at Faith Center, you guys all clap hands
32:30and and and go crazy and shout. Yeah.
32:33No, that's the way God loves to be
32:34worshiped. Let me show it to you from
32:36the word. See, now I'm going to teach.
32:39You don't have to be a theologian in the
32:41pulpit. You know why God asks you to
32:44clap hands. Isn't that right?
32:46>> You know why he says praise him. Let me
32:48tell you when the my journey when I
32:51first got saved, I didn't like clapping
32:53either. But once I realized how good God
32:55is and I saw it in the word, it exploded
32:57in me. And so now you can't stop me.
33:00Amen. Yeah. But what about this money
33:03thing? Well, let's go to the scripture.
33:05Let's see what the word has to say. And
33:07and eventually he says, "Well, maybe
33:09I'll come this Sunday." Yeah, come
33:10along. And I make sure he comes. I go
33:13pick him up.
33:15>> I'm not hoping he shows up.

33:20>> And I go and pick him up. And in the
33:21car, we have a conversation. And we get
33:23up here and Pastor Henry says something
33:26and we driving home. He says, "Now, why'
33:28your pastor say this?" Well, let me help
33:31you. The word says,
33:33>> come on. You understand? I'm now
33:36teaching there. There's no chance for
33:38offense because if you ever got offended
33:40on something, he's not going back to
33:42that church. Come on, Darius. Let's go
33:44have a cup of coffee.
33:46>> And we go sit down somewhere. What's
33:48what's what's bothering you? Well, this
33:50person over here, blah blah blah. Well,
33:52we're not there for that person. We're
33:54there for serving God. and and you know,
33:57we we can go sit on the other side of

34:06Before long, he's coming to church
34:08without me inviting him anymore. He
34:10comes on his own. He's clapping hands.
34:12He's giving willingly. He's loving God,
34:15praying in the spirit.
34:17I've made a disciple.

34:21I?
34:23Because Jesus said, "Teach him
34:25everything I've commanded you."

34:30this instruction.

34:35to make a disciple.

36:40canel what's the story you share with me
36:43and we go through the same process.

37:47And so Canel does the same job with

37:55this. And I'm watching it all. And when
37:59I'm satisfied that we now have a flow
38:02going, now I've truly made a disciple.
38:07Now I can move on and get someone else
38:11and begin the process. But you notice
38:14I'm going to keep this relationship
38:16alive. I keep watching over it and he
38:18will take over and do what I'm doing as
38:20well. Now watch this. Four generations.
38:25Four generations. Remember Paul wrote to
38:28Timothy.
38:30>> Paul wrote to Timothy. He said, "Find
38:34young men who are able to teach others."
38:37Also,
38:39>> remember John the Apostle
38:42wrote to the fathers and to the young
38:45men and to the children. You're going to
38:49find this all the way through the word
38:50of God. Abraham, God is the God of
38:53Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Israel where
38:59Judah is birthed. and then becomes our
39:03Lord and Savior. Family of God, God is a
39:06God of generations. We cannot do the
39:08Christian life alone.
39:11>> Every single one of us needs to be able
39:15to do this. Every one of us. We have
39:17something back home where I can stop any
39:20member in the congregation and I want to
39:22say to them, who is discipling you and
39:26who are you discipling?
39:29Every single person needs to have
39:31someone discipling them. And who are you
39:34discipling? And only when we're doing
39:36this are we obeying this instruction in
39:40Matthew 28.
39:42>> Amen.

39:51Have a look at Ephesians chapter 4.
39:53Ephesians chapter 4 verse 11. God gave
39:58some how many? Some to be apostles, some
40:02prophets, some evangelists, and some
40:05pastors and teachers so that they can do
40:07all the work.
40:11Is that what it says? Why is your pastor
40:14given to you?
40:16So that he can equip the saints. That's
40:20every believer. Every believer doing the
40:24work of the ministry.
40:27>> Every believer. Say every believer.
40:29>> Every
40:29>> are doing the work of the ministry for
40:32the edifying of the body of Christ. That
40:33we all come to the unity of the faith
40:35and the knowledge of the son of God, a
40:37perfect man to the measure of the
40:39stature of the fullness of Christ. that
40:41we should no longer be children tossed
40:44to and fro carried about by every Tik
40:47Tok video or YouTube short
40:50with every wind of doctrine by the
40:52trickery of men in the cunning
40:53craftiness of deceitful plotting but
40:55speaking the truth in love. Grow up.
41:01Grow up.
41:03Bump your name and say it's time to grow
41:05up.
41:07grow up in all things into him who is
41:10the head Christ from whom the whole body
41:13joined and knit together by what every
41:15joint suppliers according to the effect
41:17of working by which every part does its
41:22share. Every member involved
41:26every single person doing their part
41:30causes growth of the body for the
41:32edifying of itself in love. How of us
41:35want to see faith center growth?
41:37>> That means every one of us are doing our
41:40part in making a disciple. No one is
41:43excluded from this. That's your
41:46Christian life. That's who you are.
41:48That's your DNA. You want to pass on to
41:50someone else what you've learned.
41:53>> Say amen.

41:55>> Paul told his disciple Timothy. He wrote
41:57the letters. You read both letters what
41:59it is. You can see Timothy was a very
42:01young man. Theologians put him between
42:03the age of 17 and 21. And he was
42:05pastoring one of the biggest churches at
42:07the time, Ephesus. And he was facing a
42:10lot of challenges. And uh as a young
42:14man, you can imagine one of the things
42:16that he faced was the older folk, you
42:19know, wanted who's this young whippers
42:20snapper? Is he going to tell us what to
42:22do? And Paul said, "Don't let them
42:24despise your youth. I know what gift is
42:27in you. I laid my hands on you. the
42:29faith that's in you is from your mother
42:31and your grandmother. You need to stir
42:34up the gift and and walk in what I've
42:36called you to do. And he writes here in
42:382 Timothy chapter 4 and he says in verse
42:425, "But you be watchful in all things.
42:45Endure afflictions. Don't let what
42:47people say put you off,
42:50>> but do the work of an evangelist fulfill
42:54your ministry.
42:57>> Do the
42:58work of the evangelist. See, he's not an
43:02evangelist. He's a pastor.
43:04>> But do the work of an evangelist. What's
43:06the work of an evangelist? Leading
43:09people to Jesus. That's everyone's
43:11responsibility.
43:13Leading people to the to Jesus and
43:15fulfill your ministry. What is the
43:19ministry of Timothy? Someone may say
43:23he's a pastor. Hang on. Now the work of
43:25the ministry is to equip believers for
43:28the work of the ministry.
43:30>> As a pastor, his responsibility is to
43:33equip believers for the work of the
43:35ministry. What's the ministry of a
43:38prophet? Well, it's to prophesy. No, no.
43:41Prophesying is not just about telling
43:42people's future. It's about declaring
43:45God's word in a way that believers are
43:49activated to do the work. The primary
43:53call of a prophet is to equip believers
43:57to do the work of the ministry. So they
44:01will prophesy, but their primary calling
44:04is to equip you to do the work of the
44:07ministry. See, a teacher, I don't get up
44:10here and teach just so that I have a
44:12platform. It's not just so God can show
44:14off the gift that's in me. That's not
44:16what it's there for at all.
44:19My job is not yet to make a grand show
44:22and put on a performance and have you
44:24whoop whoop and go home. Hallelujah.
44:26What a wonderful service. I want to stop
44:28you outside and say, "What changed in
44:30your life? What's different today? What
44:32did you learn today? What are you
44:34putting into action this week?
44:37There has to be purpose to the teaching
44:39and that's to equip you for the work of
44:41the ministry."
44:43>> And he goes down here to 2 Corinthians
44:46chapter 5. Also Paul writing 2
44:48Corinthians 5:18. Now all things are of
44:51God who has reconciled us to himself
44:55through Jesus Christ. Now what's the
44:57word reconciled mean? Let's go and have
45:00a look at Romans 5. Romans 5:6. When we
45:04were still without strength in due time,
45:06Christ died for the ungodly. For
45:09scarcely for a righteous man will one
45:12die. Yet perhaps for a good man someone
45:14would even dare to die. What's Paul
45:17saying? How many of us here have
45:19children? Can I just see your hand?
45:21Would you die for your child?
45:23>> See, without question, we answer yes, of
45:25course.
45:27How about your spouse?
45:33That is the classic answer worldwide.
45:39We know what we should say. Amen. Of
45:41course, we would die for our wife. Amen.
45:44My I would for my wife. You for your
45:45husband. if you are.
45:48But how about the next door neighbor?
45:54What about the stranger we walk past in
45:56the mall?
45:59Just for a moment, I want you to imagine
46:02who you would think in history. Don't
46:03call it out loud, but who would you say
46:05that personifies
46:07evil? Think of the most evil person that
46:11has ever existed. You in your mind
46:13that's evil.
46:15Would you die for them?
46:19>> Jesus did.
46:23>> Jesus did.
46:28>> While he's lying on the cross
46:31with nails being slammed through his
46:34hands,
46:36he looks into the eye of his executioner
46:40and says, "Father, forgive them.
46:42>> They don't know what they're doing. Can
46:45we give him praise?
46:47>> Can we give him glory?
46:52>> But God demonstrates his own love
46:54towards us in that while we were still
46:56sinners, Christ died for us. Much more
46:59than having been justified by his blood,
47:01we shall be saved from wroth through
47:02him. For if when we were enemies, we
47:05were reconciled to God, reconciled to
47:09God through the death of his son, much
47:10more having been reconciled, we shall be
47:12saved by his life.
47:14Not only that, we're also rejoicing God
47:16through our Lord Jesus Christ through
47:17whom now we've re received the
47:19reconciliation. Why did Jesus die? Not
47:23just to save our sins, save us from our
47:25sins. Why did he die? Not just to get us
47:28out of hell into heaven. He died to
47:30reconcile us with the father.
47:35>> It was sin that was separating us from
47:37the father. So the father wants us in
47:40heaven more than we want to be there. He
47:41wants to have us as a relationship. And
47:43he says, "If something's getting in the
47:45way of that relationship, let my son
47:48take it out the way." Cuz once it's
47:50removed, I can have you back with me.
47:57Reconciled.
47:59What is eternal life?
48:02If I had to ask that question today and
48:04ask people to answer and didn't answer
48:06anyone back, you know, sometimes when
48:08you go through a crowd and you get
48:09different answers, people might adjust a
48:10bit because it doesn't sound that the
48:12right one yet. And every answer would be
48:14almost right and probably be a subset.
48:18But what is the true definition of
48:19eternal life?
48:21You'll be surprised to find out it's not
48:23getting out of hell.
48:25It's not even living for eternity.
48:29John chapter 17:3. This is out of the
48:32mouth of Jesus. This is eternal life.
48:37What is eternal life, Jesus? That they
48:41may know you,
48:45>> the only true God and Jesus Christ whom
48:47you've sent.
48:49Not religion,
48:52>> not attending a service,
48:54>> not even singing a song. Cuz we can fake
48:57all those things.
49:00>> But you cannot fake a relationship with
49:02God.
49:04>> That's between you and him
49:07that they may know you. Everybody say
49:12reconciled.
49:13>> Reconciled.
49:15>> 2 Corinthians 5:18. Now all things are
49:17of God who has reconciled us to himself
49:20through Jesus Christ and has given us
49:24the ministry
49:26of reconciliation.
49:29What is the work of the ministry?
49:31The ministry of reconciliation.
49:35What is your calling? I'm called as a
49:38worship leader. Well, hang on now. What
49:41will happen to the singer if they lost
49:42their voice? Can they not fulfill their
49:44ministry? No. The job of a worship
49:47singer is not performance. It's not to
49:49sound great. It's not to put on a show.
49:51It's still going to be listen, are we
49:54going into the Holy of Holies right now?
49:56We're about to enter the throne of
49:58grace. I'm going to go worship my
50:00father. Will you come with me?
50:04>> See, it's reconciliation.
50:06That's the true heart of worship. If
50:08someone's standing at the door as an
50:10usher and you're welcoming people in the
50:12door, we don't have the right to wear
50:14our problems on our sleeves. It's like,
50:16you know, had a fight with someone on
50:18the way to church. Now I'm upset with
50:19them. Someone parked in my parking lot
50:21and now I welcome someone. No, you're
50:23not allowed to sit there. Don't go over
50:24here. Hang on. That person could be
50:26walking in here for the first time in
50:28their life.
50:30And between the car and before they get
50:32to the altar call, there's at least
50:34seven opportunities to be offended.
50:37>> Before they ever hear your pastor,
50:41>> how dare I put someone in a box and say,
50:44"You don't belong here. I don't care
50:45what they look like. I don't care where
50:47they come from. They are welcome. And if
50:50they sit in my chair,
50:53I had it one day. I came in the pastor.
50:55My chair, it's obvious. It's next to a
50:57table, got my water and everything. I
50:59walk in and there's a guy sitting in my
51:00chair.
51:02I don't go, "Excuse me, who? Who going
51:05to do?"
51:06No, there's lots of other chairs. I walk
51:09right past him and I went to go sit in
51:10another chair. Someone come move him. I
51:12said, "Leave him.
51:14>> He must be new."
51:20And so I preached and I mean he loved
51:23the word and he gave his life to the
51:26Lord that day in the altar call.
51:30I went up to say hello to him and all of
51:33a sudden he says, "Pastor, that is the
51:36best beep beep beep beep service I've
51:38ever heard."
51:41He just gave his life to Jesus.
51:44What' I do?
51:45>> No. No. I said, "Well, praise God. God,
51:47I'm glad it spoke to you. Let's begin
51:49your walk with Jesus. Can I find an area
51:51pastor here? Introduce him. See, I I
51:54don't want to You got to get Watch this.
51:57He has given us the
51:59>> ministry of reconciliation.
52:03Are there any ministers here? Can I see
52:05your hand?
52:07Hang on. Now, let's just read this. Now,
52:09all things of God, who has reconciled,
52:11who?
52:13>> Who?
52:14>> Who's us?
52:16>> Say it. me. Say me. He has given me.
52:22>> He's given me the ministry of
52:25reconciliation. Are there any ministers
52:27here?
52:28Okay, we're almost there. Listen, you
52:30you're taking time.
52:33He has given who?
52:35>> The minister.
52:38Minister. Minister.
52:41The minister
52:44of reconciliation. Any ministers here?
52:47Everyone put your hand up.
52:50Say this. I am
52:51>> I am
52:51>> a minister
52:53>> of reconciliation.
52:56>> And listen to this. That is that God was
52:58in Christ reconciling the world to
53:00himself. Here it is. Not imputing their
53:04trespasses to them. God is not blaming
53:07the world for their sin. Sinners sin.
53:11That's why they called sinners because
53:12that's what sinners do.
53:17Someone came to me one day, pastor, and
53:19they said, "Pastor Allan, do you know
53:21there's sin in this church?"
53:23>> I was shocked. Like, what?
53:27That's like going to a doctor and say,
53:29"Do you know there's sick people in this
53:31hospital?
53:33That's why we here. I want to fill this
53:36place with sinners." Jesus said, "I
53:38didn't come for the righteous. I've come
53:39for those who need to hear the good
53:42news." Stop blaming people for their
53:44sin. Bring them to the father. Let God
53:48deal with it. Let Jesus take the sin.
53:50Let him renew their minds. Let him
53:52change their hearts. And if they if the
53:55work is his, we get out of the law
53:59>> into the grace. And people will want to
54:01serve God.
54:03>> Come on, give Jesus praise.
54:06He wasn't imputed in their trespasses to
54:08them. He's committed to us the word of
54:09reconciliation. We are ambassadors for
54:13Christ.
54:14>> God was pleading through us. God's
54:17pleading through us. We implore you on
54:19cross Christ's behalf. Be reconciled to
54:21God. For he made him who knew no sin to
54:25be sin for us that we might become the
54:29righteousness of God.
54:31I pray today this message has inspired
54:33you.
54:35>> If you haven't yet done it, begin.
54:38Make a decision. There are people dying
54:40out there. There are people dying out

55:00>> because the storm's coming,
55:03>> making sure the family's safe,
55:05>> making sure the children are okay.
55:07Wherever you are, are you are you
55:09hunkered down?
55:12Family, Jesus is coming back.
55:15>> Are we making preparation?
55:18>> Cuz it is a day that's coming. Does my
55:21neighbor know him? Does my family know
55:23him? Does Let's be that. Can we stand
55:26together?
55:28>> Place your hand on your heart and say,
55:29"Today, I heard the word of God.
55:32>> That word
55:33>> brought faith to my heart.
55:35>> I am a believer. I am
55:37>> not a doubter.
55:39>> As a hearer of God's word,
55:41>> as a hearer,
55:41>> I am also a doer.
55:43>> From this day on,
55:45>> I live to serve Jesus.
55:47>> I make a quality decision.
55:49>> To make disciples,
55:51>> to lead others to Jesus,
55:53>> to
55:54>> teach them,
55:55>> everything I know,
55:57>> everything I know
55:57>> about Jesus

55:59>> to reconcile reconcile

56:03>> to their father to their father. And as
56:05I do this,
56:07>> Jesus

56:10>> his church.

56:33Father, thank you for sending your
56:36servant all the way from South Africa
56:38this morning to speak to us
56:41to remind us as a church what our core
56:45responsibility
56:46is
56:48and that is to make disciples.
56:52Make disciples bringing them into the
56:55kingdom. And today's message was a
56:59confirmation
57:01of what you spoke to me about. What I've
57:03already spoken to the leadership of this
57:05church, what I've already spoken to the
57:08ministerial staff.
57:11Thank you that you are a real God.
57:15>> That when we think you're not listening,
57:18you're hearing our cry.
57:21And when we think sometimes God we have
57:24drifted far away from you, you just have
57:27a way of bringing us back in alignment
57:30to our purpose. So we thank you for this
57:33word today. May you bless him as he
57:35travels and travels back to South
57:37Africa. May you strengthen him and bless
57:40his church today. Bless his leadership
57:44team, his wife and his children,
57:46grandchildren. And father, as we leave
57:49this place today to go have lunch,
57:53dinner, whatever we're going to do for
57:55the rest of the day, as we start our
57:56week, we ask that your Holy Spirit will
57:59go with us, that you'll guide us this
58:02week, that this week we'll begin
58:05conversations with people that we'll
58:08begin to disciple them. will begin to
58:12show them the love of Jesus Christ on
58:14the job, our place of business, our
58:17family members, the the conversations we
58:20will have with people on the telephone
58:23and even when we post things on our
58:26social media platforms. Help us to uh
58:29post motivational scriptures to say
58:33things this week on social media that
58:36will bring hope to people and not become
58:39a part of the toxicity of our society.
58:43May you bless each and every one of us.
58:46Thank you for those who were convicted
58:49this morning to surrender their lives to
58:52you and to follow you. We look forward
58:56for what you're going to do Wednesday in
58:59our midweek service. May you continue to
59:01strengthen us. Thank you for those who
59:03believe in this ministry enough, dear
59:06God, to not only sew, but to to attend
59:10and to partner with the vision of this
59:13house. May your blessings be upon them.
59:15And together as we lift our hands and we
59:19say our confession, our benediction at
59:22the conclusion of every service, let's
59:24say it out loud, everybody. Faith in God
59:28will move mountains out of our lives.
