0:07we're going to
0:09take our text this morning from Acts
0:12chapter 3.
0:15beginning at verse 1.
0:17[Music]
0:22and one day
0:24Peter
0:26and John were going up to the temple
0:31at the time of prayer
0:34at three in the afternoon
0:39now A man was there lame from birth and
0:42was carried to the temple
0:45called Beautiful
0:47where he was put every day to beg for
0:51those or from those
0:53going into the temple courts
0:57and when he saw Peter and John about to
1:00enter he asked them
1:03for money
1:07Peter looked straight at him
1:11as did John then Peter said look at us
1:18so the man
1:20gave them his attention expected
1:24to get something
1:26from them and Peter said
1:29silver or gold
1:32I do not have
1:35but what I have
1:39but what I do have
1:42I give to you
1:44in the name of Jesus Christ
1:48of Nazareth
1:50walk
1:54taken him by the right hand he helped
1:57him up and instantly the man's feet and
2:00ankles became strong
2:04he jumped to his feet and began to walk
2:07and then he went with them in the temple
2:12courts
2:13walking and jumping and praising God and
2:16when all the people saw him walk in and
2:19praising God they recognized him as the
2:21same man
2:24who used to sit begging at the temple
2:27gate
2:28called Beautiful
2:31and they were filled with wonders and
2:33amazement
2:34at what had happened to him father
2:38the atmosphere is already set
2:41speak to your people
2:44speak through me
2:47this is fresh off the press
2:50this was not what I was supposed to
2:52preach
2:55but you're doing something new
3:00and because this is your doing
3:03we're ready to receive now
3:06in Jesus name amen before your seeded do
3:11me a favor I want you to look to at
3:13least two people and tell them you will
3:15get what you deserve
3:23please be seated in the presence of the
3:25Lord
3:27you will get what you
3:33deserve
3:35if there is a God in heaven
3:39I promise you you will get what you
3:44deserve
3:48there are a few things I have learned in
3:52my 59 years on this planet
3:57and one of them is
3:59you can get real comfortable depending
4:03on people to do for you
4:06what only God can do
4:10our dependency on people and not on God
4:14has caused us
4:16to miss out on many
4:19breakthrough moments
4:23you must understand that every day you
4:26and I are being carried by either the
4:30power that comes from the name of Jesus
4:35or by the power we give to our
4:37circumstances and people
4:42you are carried by the name of Jesus
4:46or by the power you give to your
4:48circumstances or people
4:51are you magnifying your circumstances
4:54well I'm going through this well I'm
4:57struggling here well you know I'm
4:59waiting on this I don't feel good well I
5:01don't understand why I'm at this place
5:04or she did me that he did me this he
5:09left me she left me they broke my heart
5:12they offended me you see every time you
5:16talk about the condition that you're in
5:19you're given power to what's holding you
5:23bound
5:27you will never better your life nor be
5:30at a better or be a better version of
5:32yourself until you change your
5:35perspective of who you are and the fact
5:38that God has never made a mistake
5:42when it comes to what he's doing in your
5:45life
5:46I know this is very hard for some of you
5:48to understand but you must understand
5:51everything that's happening in your life
5:54is happening for a reason
6:00and the sooner you understand that it's
6:03the less frustrated you will become
6:06regardless of how long you have been
6:08waiting for your breakthrough
6:11I want to encourage you to keep
6:12believing that your day is coming
6:17we just declared that
6:20regardless of what you're going through
6:22you've got to believe your day is coming
6:27now I understand that some of you are
6:29dealing with uh issues in your life
6:33that have been in your life
6:36since you were a child
6:40but I promise you
6:43every issue in your life watch this has
6:47an expiration date
6:50that's a good place to shout man
6:54every issue every problem in your life
6:58has an expiration date
7:02and all you need to do is keep believing
7:04that God will turn things around in your
7:08favor
7:09there's such a thing as generational
7:12curse
7:14yes some of you don't want to believe
7:16that don't want to embrace it you want
7:18to ignore it but there is such a thing
7:21as generational curse and until you deal
7:26with it
7:28it will cause you to live in a cycle of
7:32failure shame and defeat
7:37until you get sick and tired of the
7:42cycle
7:43of Shame defeat and failure that has
7:48been playing your family for a long time
7:51it will constantly hold you bound and
7:55everything that comes from you will be
7:58affected by it
8:02listen to me sir
8:05you have to make up in your mind to
8:09break it
8:12you have to make up in your mind to say
8:16you're going to be different from the
8:19rest of your family
8:22don't be perfect about what they think
8:24about you
8:25don't be bothered about how they isolate
8:28you and how they make you feel less than
8:31a human being I'm telling you you owe it
8:35to yourself and to your future to break
8:39the curse
8:45gotta break it
8:47every one of us is suffering from that
8:50and some of you are crying out to God
8:53for him to do certain things in your
8:55life
8:57but you are unaware of the fact that
9:00over the years you've allowed people
9:04to place you in a state
9:08of being a beggar
9:10instead of a worshiper
9:16you are walking around God's Planet
9:19begging
9:21for stuff that's already yours
9:27glory to God you are begging for what's
9:31already yours you have allowed
9:35circumstances to place you
9:39into being a beggar
9:42begging every day
9:44going through the same cycle
9:47begging for breakthroughs begging for
9:51deliverance begging and when you don't
9:54get it one place you go to the next you
9:57constantly begging for what's already
10:00yours
10:02not knowing the easiest way to get what
10:06you want is to forget about what you
10:09want and look to God who's the author
10:13and the finisher of what you want
10:17look to God for what you want
10:21some of you have become doubters instead
10:25of believers
10:28you see there was a time in my life and
10:30if I'll be honest to you when I found
10:33myself going to God
10:36and begging him to send people in my
10:39life
10:40to help me
10:42God would you send this person to help
10:44me send this person to deliver me and
10:46send this person to hook me up
10:49everybody looking for a hookup
10:54I spent a lot of years of my life
10:59asking God
11:01to hook me up
11:04at one point I found myself
11:10begging more
11:13than Worship in
11:16God
11:19every day I'll get up my prayers
11:22would be consumed with
11:24God would you do this would you do that
11:26would you do that would you do that
11:27would you do that would you do that
11:30and I wasn't worshiping God
11:34I wasn't
11:35water in
11:37my environment with worship
11:42my Beggin got me no
11:45where
11:47I complained more than I was
11:50kid in or or given to God and I was
11:55getting more frustrated at God because I
11:57wanted him to do things my way
12:03and the strangest thing was he kept
12:07doing things
12:08his way
12:12that caused me to be more of a beggar
12:15than a worshiper
12:17but I came across Psalm 34 Verse 1.
12:23and it says I will bless
12:27the Lord
12:28at all times his praise shall
12:34what's the word
12:35what's the word
12:37what's the word
12:40continually be in my mouth it doesn't
12:43matter how I feel it doesn't matter what
12:46I lack it doesn't matter what people are
12:49doing to me I must make up in my mind 24
12:55hours a day even when I'm in an
12:58uncomfortable situation to bless God for
13:02what he is doing in my life
13:09I bless him at all times that changed my
13:13life forever and then in Psalm 103 the
13:17very first six verses it says bless the
13:20Lord
13:22oh my see some of you won't understand
13:24this because you you you don't even read
13:27your Bible I Will Bless The Lord it says
13:30bless the Lord O my soul and all that is
13:35within me in other words I have forced
13:39my feelings my emotions I have put them
13:44under subjection to not look at my
13:47situation to not look at my problem but
13:51to bless God any how bless His holy name
13:56because there's something about the name
13:58of Jesus
14:00ah Something About the Name of Jesus
14:03when you call on his name things will
14:07begin to happen
14:11it says bless the Lord O my soul and
14:14forget not all his benefits some of you
14:19the problem is you keep wanting more but
14:23you have not taken time out to bless him
14:27for what he did yesterday come on now
14:31let's let's just be honest here if God
14:34doesn't do anything else he has gone
14:38enough look back into your life Look
14:42What the Lord Has Done look where he
14:45brought you from or somebody ought to
14:48give him a praise in this house
14:53he has done more than enough
14:58he has done more than enough he saved
15:03you from that accident
15:05he protected you when people tried to
15:08destroy you
15:13I'm telling you man we have enough to
15:17give God praise for
15:21he says I will bless him I bless him who
15:24forgives all
15:27your iniquity who heals
15:31he's a Healer
15:34oh touch somebody tell him he's a shield
15:42he's a Healer he's a Healer
15:44I'm not just talking about healing you
15:47from disease and sicknesses he's a
15:51Healer because if the truth be told some
15:54of us should have been in the mental
15:56institution
15:59if you ever begin to tell your story to
16:04the people in your role
16:06they would ask you how did you keep it
16:10all to you don't look like what you've
16:14been through but God healed your mind
16:18God kept your mind in perfect peace
16:22somebody give him a crazy place in this
16:26house
16:29he Shields you
16:32somebody touch your head touch your head
16:34and said heal my mind I should have Cuss
16:38them out buddy he kept me he kept me he
16:42kept me he kept me he kept me oh God he
16:47kept me he kept me he kept me
16:53kept me
16:55he kept me from losing my mind
16:58then the scripture continues to say who
17:02redeems your life
17:05from the pit
17:08from the pit
17:11many of us in this room who are
17:13streaming can be honest
17:15some of you right now you're in a pit
17:19but he's a redeemer
17:24some of you are like Joseph it's people
17:27who put you in the pit
17:30can I go a step further it is your
17:33family who put you in the pit
17:38but he's a redeemer
17:41he knows how to come down into the pits
17:44and stretch his hands
17:47and say this is your season
17:50you don't have a pit anointed
17:54you do not have a pit on it it's time to
17:57come up higher touch three people and
18:00tell them it's time to come up higher
18:04you're gonna get what you deserve you've
18:08been waiting you've been praying you've
18:10been believing God
18:12stay where God has planted you
18:16stay there and be faithful stay there
18:19and worship stay there and cry stay
18:23there and believe but stay where God has
18:26planted you because sooner or later
18:29God's gonna pick you up he's going to
18:32put you in a stage for your enemies to
18:36see that God has blessed your life
18:43he was blessed you
18:46who crowns you with steadfast love and
18:50mercy who sacrifices you with a horse
18:54excuse me satisfies you with good so
18:58that your youth is renewed like an eagle
19:03can I just be a little bit spiritual
19:05arrogant this morning
19:07some of you don't look your age
19:14huh

19:17you don't look your age that's the
19:20scripture that's the scripture right
19:22there the word of the Lord says watch
19:24this it says in that verse who satisfies
19:28you with good with good surely goodness
19:33and mercy keeps following you
19:39everywhere you go
19:41folks trying to dig a pit for you
19:44but goodness and mercy says oh no
19:48I'm still gonna bless him I'm still
19:51gonna bless her and all of a sudden
19:54instead of getting older you're getting
19:57younger because that's the kind of God
20:00we serve some of you need to change your
20:03sour looking face and start lifting your
20:07hands in the midst of your circumstances
20:10and said God thanked you I'm still alive
20:15I'm still alive to give you the praise
20:19somebody already given praise in this
20:21house today
20:26please hear me today
20:29I know you have heard it many times
20:34your breakthrough is on the way
20:36yeah breakthrough is underway
20:38and for some of you it hasn't happened
20:40yet
20:42but I want you to keep
20:44a good attitude now watch this now
20:47cause I'm almost through
20:49and going back to the text
20:52keep up a good attitude
20:57to your neighbor what's your attitude
20:59man
21:01come on they don't like talking to you
21:03find somebody else and tell them what's
21:04your attitude
21:07watch your attitude I'm telling you I
21:12don't know who God has sent me to this
21:15morning I'm talking to you as you're
21:16streaming you better watch your attitude
21:22your attitude will either get you in
21:25trouble or your attitude will get you to
21:28the Breakthrough
21:31wherever life's circumstances have
21:35placed you
21:37please I ask you
21:40to keep a good attitude
21:43if you're single and waiting for the
21:46person that God has designed for you
21:49stay in your singleness
21:53with the positive attitude
21:57don't dog out men
22:01don't be Little Women
22:06have a good attitude
22:09just because you got your heart broken
22:12just because you had a bitter divorce
22:17just because they took everything from
22:20you
22:21just because they cheated on you and
22:24betrayed you
22:27I'm telling you today
22:30keep a good attitude
22:35keep a good attitude
22:38if you're sick and dealing with health
22:41issues
22:42stay right there
22:45if God allowed life circumstances to
22:49place you in that position stay right
22:51there with a positive attitude until God
22:54changed the situation
22:57if you have been dealt with unjustly
23:03stay right there
23:06until God deal with your enemy you don't
23:10touch them
23:13but see I knew I wasn't gonna get a lot
23:15of amens with that now I'm gonna I'm
23:18gonna I'm gonna deal with that one I'm
23:20gonna fix it myself
23:22God don't make no fool I'm gonna deal
23:24with it
23:27I don't care who did you wrong
23:32learn to shut your mouth
23:37throw your hands up
23:39and praise God
23:42because ain't nothing so sweet as God
23:47fixing your hair now
23:50yeah
23:53Oh Glory to God
23:57if
23:58if you are in a dysfunctional
24:01relationship
24:04or dysfunctional house
24:07stay there
24:10until God gives you a specific
24:12instruction
24:15now please I want to preach this in a
24:18balanced way
24:20I'm not telling you to stay there
24:23forever
24:24watch this
24:26but you've got to wait for an
24:29instruction from God
24:33Abraham
24:35was out of place
24:38where God one day said to him

24:43it's time to leave
24:46your family
24:51I'm going to take you to a place
24:55he didn't even know where God was taking
24:56him from
24:58there will come a time in your life
25:01where God will say the relationship
25:03you're in has expired
25:08and you've got to be sensitive to know
25:11when he tells you okay you've tried
25:14everything you know to try it's time to
25:18leave and you may say well where I'm
25:20going to go Abraham asked the same
25:22question where am I going to go why are
25:24you taking me God just trust the process
25:33if you are deep in debt
25:36not having enough money to function in
25:40life please believe me when I tell you
25:43God is going to turn things around in
25:46your life if you are stressing yourself
25:48out by the conditions of your spouse
25:52your children co-workers and these
25:55so-called friends
25:58please I ask you I don't know why at the
26:02end of the first quarter of this year
26:04God keeps telling us
26:08stay in a positive attitude
26:11stay in a positive attitude
26:13God sent me here today to tell you that
26:17your life circumstances
26:20have placed you right where you need
26:25to be
26:30right where you need to be
26:36the scripture says in Acts chapter 3.
26:42that one day Peter and John
26:46is going up to the temple and please
26:50note that the Bible says
26:53they went to this Temple
26:56at three in the afternoon
27:00the ancient description of that hour was
27:03the ninth hour
27:06the ninth
27:08hour
27:09the ninth hour
27:12a woman carries a baby
27:16for nine
27:18months
27:21somehow
27:24God LED Peter and John
27:27to go to the temple
27:30to pray
27:32at the time in
27:34of birth
27:38a man who was lame from birth from birth
27:41he had a condition from birth
27:46was been carried to the temple and
27:48noticed
27:50They Carried him to a place and dropped
27:53him off at a gate
27:55but notice the description of the gate
28:01beautiful
28:04you feel where God placed you is ugly
28:08nasty dirty filthy unworthy I don't
28:12deserve this
28:16but he dropped they dropped him off
28:19at the beautiful gate
28:24what I found out about that scripture
28:25that was interesting to me was
28:29the Bible makes no reference
28:33of how many people took him there and
28:36what their names were
28:39all we know
28:42every day
28:45this man was taken
28:49to
28:51the beautiful gate
28:54and they Place him there
28:57to beg
29:01we don't know I don't have
29:05um proof to back up what I am
29:08about to say it's just my theory I
29:13they dropped him at the gate beautiful

29:18I don't know if when they dropped him
29:21off some of them went in the temple
29:26or they just dropped him off and go
29:28about their business either way
29:31they never brought him in the temple
29:37they dropped him off outside
29:41there's some people in your life

29:52they will carry you to a certain point
29:59they don't mind carrying you to a point

30:04you keep asking
30:09he was lame that meaning his Mobility
30:13was hampered
30:17you would think
30:21that they are familiar with the Miracles
30:24that took place inside the temple
30:30why couldn't if you can take him to the
30:33entrance
30:36then For Heaven's Sake take the guy on
30:39the inside
30:40but for every day
30:44somebody would take him
30:48and place him to the beautiful gate and
30:51notice the reason why they did that was
30:55for him
30:57to beg
31:02they never
31:04once
31:06brought him on the inside let me
31:08highlight a few things and I'll get out
31:10of your way
31:11number one the man's condition required
31:14help from others
31:16he was lame
31:18his condition required help from others
31:21and for him to get around in the
31:23community where he lived he needed some
31:26assistance from people
31:28because he was lame
31:31his condition had affected his Mobility
31:35his entire life
31:39some of you are in a situation
31:42where your condition is a result
31:49of what you were born into
31:54you were born in it
31:58you were born into the dysfunction
32:02you were born into poverty
32:07the second thing that I find interesting
32:10in this is the scripture says that this
32:13man was being carried carried carried
32:16every day Place him like I said at the
32:19beautiful gate of the temple Where They
32:21Carried him every single day nobody ever
32:24took him inside and they
32:27they sat him down
32:32where
32:34he will forever be in a begging
32:38condition
32:42sat him down where he will forever
32:47raise his hands out in this posture not
32:51this
32:52they were in the temple doing this
32:55nobody in the temple was doing this
32:57they were in the temple doing this but
33:00they placed be careful of who's carrying
33:03you
33:09be careful of who you let carry you
33:15they sat him down
33:17and they knew it's like every day they
33:21said we ain't gonna take him in
33:26we know his condition
33:28we know his situation
33:31let him stay outside there and back
33:38I've just come by to tell some of you
33:40you're streaming
33:42there's some people who are happier
33:45when you are a beggar
33:52than a worshiper

33:55they like to see you sit down
33:59not having the ability
34:02to get up

34:11the third thing I want to bring to your
34:13attention
34:14the scripture did not tell us again the
34:17names of the people who carried the man
34:18down the beautiful gate day after day
34:22we don't even know how many people over
34:24the years took him down to the beautiful
34:25gate all we know
34:29they took him down there
34:31to beg
34:34for watch this now this is what really
34:36got me
34:38I mean I've read the scripture over and
34:40over
34:43they put him down one translation says
34:47they put him down watch this catch us
34:50real quick
34:51to ask for change
35:00I mean they could have said they put him
35:02there
35:03to get wealthy
35:05to get blessed
35:08they placed him at the gate
35:11outside of the place that could deliver
35:15him
35:17and they Place him there to get people's
35:21leftovers
35:25what's change
35:28yeah you ever go to the store now I know
35:30we don't use a lot of cash right now
35:32right but you go to the store and you
35:33get all the change what do you do with
35:35the change
35:36you throw
35:39you throw it away to some container
35:41something like that
35:44they placed them in a condition
35:47to
35:48beg for people's leftovers
35:54and I hope you're not offended by this
35:56those of you are streaming but some of
35:58you
35:59you are constantly in a position of
36:03wanting people's leftovers
36:08you are better than leftovers you are
36:13not an afterthought
36:17you are the apple of God's eye
36:20there's enough for everybody on the
36:22Earth
36:25and you're gonna get what you deserve
36:28you don't deserve my leftovers
36:33you don't deserve change
36:37you deserve the promises of God
36:42but they placed him in a condition
36:45to ask for change
36:48number four verse 3 tells us
36:52that when the man
36:54saw Peter and John
36:57about to go in the book
36:59part I love I love it I love it
37:03it says in verse 3 when they saw when he
37:06saw Peter and John about to enter the
37:08temple he asked them a question
37:13he asked him a question he's begging for
37:17change now
37:19the man did not
37:21wanted to
37:24I think because they put him in that
37:26condition for so long
37:28he didn't really want to be delivered
37:30watch this he just wanted change
37:36but verse 4 says Peter looked straight
37:39at him look straight at him look in
37:43other words look him dead straight in
37:44the eye
37:46looked at him and said look at us and
37:50one of the things I've taught my boys
37:54that when people are talking to you
37:57look at them
37:59don't you look down
38:02there's so many of you in this building
38:04streaming you have lived your whole life

38:29why are you always screaming when you're
38:30preaching
38:32true story they always tell me that
38:36but I'm telling you today
38:39hold your head up
38:45can you look at three people in your
38:47room and tell them Hold Your Head Up

39:01coming look up your payday is coming
39:05look up your deliverance is coming look

39:15so the man
39:16gave them his attention
39:21Peter said
39:22silver or gold I
39:24do not have but what I do have
39:29I'll give it to you and I love this now
39:31some of you didn't grow up the way I
39:33grew up or Jonathan we grew up
39:35Pentecostal
39:38and There's Something About the Name of
39:43Jesus

39:56here's what I give you
39:59and the authority of my office as a
40:01minister of the Gospel
40:03they use
40:04the passcode
40:07to their to his his Deliverance
40:10the passcode to your breakthrough for
40:13the rest of this year is not your issue
40:16it's not your problems it's not your
40:19education it's not what you can
40:21physically do your passcode in every
40:25situation you find yourself in for the
40:29rest of this year say his name
40:32say his name
40:34say his name
40:39you say Jesus
40:41you go in that crazy house Jesus you go
40:45to that crazy job
40:47Jesus you're dealing with fake friends
40:50Jesus

40:54something happens
40:57at the name of Jesus
41:00and what happened now in verse 7
41:02Jonathan I'm ready for you in verse 7.
41:05in the Amplified version is exactly what
41:08is about to happen to all of you
41:13all of you those of you streaming
41:16verse 7 to verse 8. watch this
41:21please don't miss this

41:26the man now who heard the name of Jesus
41:30the Bible says
41:32then he sees the man's right hand
41:37God sent me here today to tell you
41:41he's been waiting for you to hold his
41:43hands
41:45you've been holding everybody else's
41:48hands you held that man's hands and you
41:51gave him your heart and he broke it you
41:53gave that woman your hands and your
41:55heart and she broke it you gave your
41:57kids you gave your family you gave your
42:00friends you gave everybody your heart
42:02but Jesus is saying today seize the
42:06moment I am asking you to hold my hand
42:10because I want to give you a grip I want
42:14to get a grip of your life and I want to
42:17turn it around

42:24and firm grip the Bible says
42:28and the man
42:30immediately the Bible says
42:33he stood up
42:36stood up
42:37moment
42:39he got healed watch this
42:42and I this blew my mind the moment he
42:44stood up he got healed he did a few
42:47things that most of us wouldn't do
42:52verse 8.
42:55and with a leap
42:58foreign
43:04he hadn't walked all his life
43:08it's not something natural like you and
43:10I
43:12when he got healed
43:15he took a leap
43:18a leap of faith
43:21to say I have never done it before
43:24but I believe I can
