Summary
Rev. Able Bonilla explores the depths of 'Heaven's Harmony,' teaching that true peace is not found in world treaties or personal security, but through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who harmonizes with our lives even in our darkest trials.
Key points
- •True peace is not merely the absence of conflict but is a life-giving command from Jesus that surpasses human understanding.
- •Human efforts to establish peace (like the Pax Romana) are fragile because they cannot address internal grief, envy, or passion.
- •The Holy Spirit serves as a constant companion and intercessor, bringing scripture to memory and groaning on our behalf during trials.
- •Harmony requires more than one note; true spiritual peace is found when we allow the Holy Spirit to join his voice to our lives, creating Heaven's Harmony.
- •Even in 'midnight' seasons of pain, the very 'chains' or trials we face can become the instruments we use to offer a sound of worship to God.

Life application
This week, when you feel overwhelmed by a 'midnight' situation, resist the urge to fix it in your own strength. Instead, offer a simple sound of worship - even if it is just a hum or a whispered prayer - and invite the Holy Spirit to harmonize with your spirit and provide His supernatural peace.
Reflection questions
- In what areas of your life have you been trying to manufacture peace through human means rather than trusting God?
- How does the concept of 'harmony' change the way you view your personal relationship with the Holy Spirit?
- Can you identify a time when a trial (a 'chain') actually became a tool that brought you closer to God in worship?
- What 'insignificant causes' are currently stealing your peace, and how can you surrender those to the Prince of Peace today?

0:18Follow up to what that song was saying.
0:20We're just so thankful, Lord. We're so
0:23thankful.
0:24Amen. What an honor it is to be in the
0:25house of God with the people of God.
0:30It is an honor to be able to stand
0:31behind this pulpit every time I get to.
0:34I love
0:35Pastor Olsen, Sister Olsen, this church,
0:38the worship team. Amen. The efforts that
0:40go for every ministry including the
0:43Spanish ministry. Amen.
0:45I wouldn't call it the Spanish. I'd call
0:47it just the bilingual because there's
0:49some Portuguese and Brazilian I mean
0:51there's
0:52We're going to start Amen. Reaching out
0:54to everybody in the name of Jesus.
0:57Praise God. Well, I'm so thankful to be
0:59here today. Amen. And obviously
1:01>> [snorts]
1:02>> my wife is also thankful. She doesn't

1:14She's super excited to be here. Amen.
1:17I want to go straight into the word of
1:19God. Amen. I do believe that God
1:21wants to speak to us today. Amen. And
1:23would you stand with me and go
1:25with me to the book of John.
1:28John chapter 14 verse 27.
1:32John 14 verse 27.
1:37It's a very popular verse that many of
1:39us probably know by memory.
1:42Bible says
1:44Peace I leave with you.
1:47My peace I give you.
1:50I do not give to you as the world gives.
1:54Do not let your hearts be troubled. And
1:57do not be afraid.
2:02What a hope.
2:04To not be afraid. To not be troubled.
2:07Because he has left us peace.
2:11Peace.
2:12I want to speak today. Amen. We're going
2:14to pray right now. I'm going to ask you
2:15to pray with me but
2:17I want to speak for a couple of moments
2:19under
2:20the subject Heaven's Harmony. Would you
2:22turn to your neighbor and tell them
2:24Heaven's Harmony.
2:27Heaven's Harmony.
2:29Father, we come to you, Lord, once
2:31again. We are so thankful for your
2:32spirit that we feel in this house. We're
2:35so thankful for your presence, oh God.
2:38It is so evident in this room. I pray
2:40[music] that you speak to us. I pray
2:42that your thoughts be in our minds,
2:44Lord. I pray that our hearts be hungry
2:47right now that we would hunger after
2:49your word, hunger after righteousness,
2:52hunger after purity, oh Lord. I pray,
2:55Lord, for every individual that's in
2:57this room right now and those that I
2:59couldn't make it, Lord.
3:01I thank you for them as well, Lord. I
3:03pray, Lord, that you would have your
3:04way, God. Let us receive, God, wisdom
3:07from heaven, Lord. Don't let it just be
3:09human wisdom. Let it come from you, oh
3:11God. Let us encourage somebody today.
3:14Let us feel your presence, Lord. In
3:16Jesus' name we pray. Can somebody shout
3:19in Jesus' name?
3:21Come on. Would you shout it in Jesus'
3:23name?
3:25Hallelujah.
3:26Hallelujah. You may be seated.
3:36It is estimated that throughout the
3:393,500 years of recorded human history
3:44only about 268
3:48years
3:50have been free of war.
3:53This amounts
3:54to roughly 8% of that time being
3:57described as years of peace.
4:01While exact figures um
4:04are debated, a study by historian Will
4:07Durant
4:09noted that in this period
4:11there
4:12there have been over 14
4:15thousand documented conflicts. Estimates
4:18of war
4:21related
4:23uh uh uh estimates of war-related deaths
4:26vary but
4:28they number in the billions.
4:32Since 650 BC
4:35numerous arms races have occurred with
4:37only a handful of not culminating in
4:39war.
4:41Peace.
4:42We all seek peace.
4:45We all want peace.
4:48Just a couple hundred about a hundred
4:50years ago
4:51World War I, World War II
4:55were happening, the Cold War, and you
4:57can think about history and all the
4:59moments
5:00where humanity had to endure pain and
5:04mothers had to cry and families had to
5:06be destroyed and nations had to go to
5:09war.
5:11Humanity wants peace. We desire it.
5:15The depths of our hearts, the depths of
5:17our mind and our spirit, we want peace.
5:21We all want to live in a safe
5:23neighborhood that's peaceful.
5:25We all look and will invest money in the
5:29most sophisticated alarm system
5:32to make sure that we can sleep
5:35during the night and not be interrupted
5:38by someone or something. We want peace.
5:42Can I get a witness in the house today?
5:46Peace, but wars in history have raged
5:49over absolutely insignificant
5:52insignificant causes.
5:55The Football War of 1969 El Salvador and
5:59Honduras
6:00went to war following a series of soccer
6:03matches.
6:06During the qualifying rounds of the 1970
6:10World Cup, by the way, the World Cup is
6:13coming to America next year.
6:21A war between two nations because
6:24of a soccer match.
6:27The matches fueled existing tensions
6:29related to the land reform and
6:31immigration issues and both nations went
6:35to war because of soccer matches.
6:38Insignificant causes. Let me add
6:41different story here. For many years a
6:43large silver star adorned the top of the
6:47Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. In
6:51the 1800s the Roman Catholic Church,
6:54which still shares the building with the
6:56Greek Orthodox Church today, they
6:59decided to replace the star in this
7:02building.
7:03But the Greek Orthodox Church refused to
7:06get this changed, so they were supported
7:09by Russia and the Roman Catholics were
7:12supported by France and now countries
7:15are in the middle of this small issue.
7:21It caused that Turkey decided to rule
7:24over Palestine at the time and and and
7:27and the Roman Catholics had Russia
7:29declaring war on Turkey and now France
7:33and England allied themselves with
7:35Turkey and launched a a war because of a
7:39silver star
7:40in a building.
7:44Insignificant
7:46causes. Now, man always attempts to
7:49bring peace to his surroundings. We
7:51always try, we seek for it. We will pay
7:54top dollar for it.
7:56We will vote for the person we think
7:58will bring peace to us.
8:01Mankind always attempts to bring peace
8:04to his surroundings, yet we fail. Amen.
8:07Man fails to deliver peace time and time
8:11and time again. But in their attempts to
8:14bring peace, we fail
8:17every time.
8:20Treaties, peace treaties that have gone
8:22out. In fact, there's a popular one
8:26the Pax Romana
8:28which translates to the Roman's peace
8:31treaty
8:32was a 200-year-old period of relative
8:35peace and stability in the Roman Empire.
8:39It is considered one of the most
8:40prosperous and secure eras in ancient
8:43history, achieved through military
8:46strength, efficient administration, and
8:49legal systems that that fostered order.
8:51The Roman Empire, the Roman military
8:55played a crucial part a role in
8:58maintaining this peace by suppressing
9:01external threats.
9:05The Pax Romana. Now, even in Jesus'
9:07times
9:09we see this. In fact, there's a Greek
9:11Stoic philosopher by the name of
9:15Epictetus
9:16observed the limitations and he observed
9:18these limitations of of the so-called
9:20Pax Romana. This treaty, this this 200
9:24years of peace that were somehow
9:26working, quote unquote.
9:29But he wrote something really
9:31interesting that I
9:33want to share with us today.
9:35He says, "While the emperor may give
9:38peace from war
9:41on land and sea
9:44the emperor
9:45he is unable to give peace from passion
9:49from grief
9:51and envy. The emperor cannot give peace
9:55of heart
9:56for which man yearns more than even
10:00for outward peace."
10:04Man will attempt to give you peace.
10:08Politicians want to guarantee peace.
10:12People will come together in Oval Office
10:14and try to negotiate and bring terms and
10:17conditions to ensure that there is peace
10:20in the world, but it doesn't matter how
10:22many times mankind tries to bring peace,
10:26we will never have peace if Jesus Christ
10:30is not at the center of our lives.
10:33Can I get a witness in the house here
10:35today? Somebody that knows somebody that
10:38has placed the Lord in their living
10:40room. Somebody that has placed the Lord
10:43in their family and you've said, "Lord,
10:45you take control of my life."
10:49For us that live for God, we understand
10:52that peace only true peace, watch now
10:55true peace only comes
10:58when Jesus is invoked.
11:01True peace will come to your life when
11:04you bring and allow the Lord to live
11:08in your home.
11:10When you live for him, when you when you
11:13allow him to be to be part of the
11:15affairs of your life, that is when true
11:18peace
11:20comes to you.
11:22Now, love what this Stoic
11:25philosopher said. The emperor will
11:27attempt to give you peace.
11:30But he can't give you peace.
11:33He's unable to give you peace from
11:35passion grief
11:36and envy, the issues of the heart.
11:40Mankind can't give you that kind of
11:42peace. But then Jesus speaks to his
11:45disciples in the scripture we read
11:48at the beginning.
11:50He says, "Peace I leave with you. My
11:53peace I give you. I do not give to you
11:56as the world gives. Do not let your
11:58hearts be troubled and do not be
12:02afraid."
12:05This is not just a promise, ladies and
12:07gentlemen.
12:09You're hearing me today, but this is
12:11just not this is not just a promise. It
12:13is a life-giving
12:15command from the Lord himself.
12:19It is a life-giving command. Jesus
12:21knowing the weight of what was what
12:23would laid ahead had just shaken the
12:25disciples by revealing his impending
12:28death. Now, the disciples who have been
12:30walking with Jesus for 3 years now, they
12:33find themselves troubled because they
12:35understand that if Jesus leaves, all the
12:38issues that surround Jesus now are
12:42directed to them.
12:46Jesus
12:47the man who shook
12:51the scribes
12:53the Pharisees
12:55the man who was
12:57doing things that were unconventional at
12:59the time and the people the religious
13:01people couldn't understand it and people
13:04were getting upset and all these fingers
13:06were going out to Jesus, but now Jesus
13:09has revealed to his disciples, "I'm
13:11about to leave."
13:15We don't like Jesus leaving, do we?
13:18Lord, no, you better walk with me.
13:20You better be in my life. I don't want
13:23you to ever leave me. I don't ever want
13:25you to walk away and the disciples are
13:27feeling this pressure, this despair.
13:30Jesus is leaving.
13:33And he gives them these words, "Peace I
13:36leave with you."
13:40"My peace I give you. I do not give to
13:42you as the world" I'm so glad that the
13:44peace of God is not like the world's
13:46peace.
13:48I'm going to say it. Amen. I'm so
13:50thankful that this peace Jesus offers
13:53isn't fragile. This peace that Jesus
13:56offers isn't circumstantial. This peace
13:59that Jesus offers isn't temporary. Come
14:02on, somebody. Can I get somebody to help
14:04me right now? This peace that Jesus
14:06gives us, amen, it's not just the kind
14:08of peace that depends on a good day.
14:12I'm thankful that this peace is not a
14:14peace, amen, that depends on a clean
14:17bill of health.
14:19I'm so thankful that this peace is not a
14:21peace that depends on a full bank
14:24account.
14:28This is the peace of God, ladies and
14:30gentlemen. The peace that guards your
14:33heart. The peace that keeps you going.
14:36The peace that surrounds you, amen.
14:39Amen, that it guards your heart and mind
14:41even when the storms of life come raging
14:44at you. It's the peace that holds you
14:46steady when everything around is
14:48shaking.
14:51The peace of God.
14:54A couple weeks ago
14:55one of our beloved ushers
14:58by the name of
14:59Brother Rufus
15:0160-year-old man, actually 70-year-old
15:03man
15:04very strong
15:06very sharp.
15:08You cannot out-dress this man.
15:12I like to think that I dress good.
15:15I only have four suits that I rotate.
15:19This man has 30-something suits. Brother
15:22Cole, you know a little bit of that.
15:23Amen.
15:28He don't He doesn't want me revealing
15:29his secret. Amen.
15:34Sharp man, and he
15:36he messages me one of these
15:38uh a couple weeks ago or months ago, and
15:39he says, "Pastor, my older brother just
15:42passed."
15:44In fact, I'm getting the story wrong.
15:46One of our other ushers in the church
15:48messaged me telling me Brother Rufus's
15:50older brother passed away.
15:53This was a Wednesday, and
15:55I feel the weight of what's happening in
15:56Brother Rufus's life, and
15:59I go out of my way. I I call him a
16:01couple times. He's not picking up, and
16:02then
16:03I message him a I send him one of those
16:06big paragraphs. I'm like, "Man, I really
16:07want him to know that we're here, that
16:09whatever we can do to help him during
16:11this season, you know, we're available."
16:13And and I'm just I'm stressing a little
16:14bit as a pastor. I'm thinking, "Man, I
16:16need to speak to him. If I can just talk
16:18to him, I'll be able to maybe help him.
16:20He's probably feeling down." And I'm
16:23thinking, "I can come and bring peace to
16:25him."
16:28He doesn't pick up my call. He doesn't
16:30respond. And then then I think, "I'm
16:32going to give him some space."
16:34He's obviously going through something
16:36big in his life right now, and he needs
16:39some space.
16:40So, I decided to give him some space.
16:43I'm not expecting him to show up Sunday.
16:45I I I I parked the vehicle right outside
16:47the church building, and then I'm coming
16:49I'm I'm I I got all my stuff. I'm trying
16:51to walk into the service, amen, or or or
16:54or the setup. And we have to set up
16:55every Sunday, amen.
16:57We don't have it like y'all You guys
16:58have your setup every week here. We have
17:01to set up every Sunday.
17:02We have to show up extra early, amen.
17:04I'm not complaining. I'm just telling
17:05you that's my reality.
17:08Pray for us, amen. God's going to bless
17:09us.
17:12So, I'm I'm I'm walking in with all
17:13these things, and and I'm trying to get
17:15that door, and and I see someone push
17:17the door open.
17:19Stands right by the door and smiles real
17:22big at me.
17:23Brother Rufus
17:25with his brown suit, brown shoes, brown
17:29tie
17:30white shirt.
17:33Welcome to the house of God.
17:37I was taken back a little bit. I was not
17:39expecting Brother Rufus to be the one to
17:41open the door for the pastor.
17:43I thought Brother Rufus was at home,
17:45resting, and maybe maybe going through
17:48that season, amen. We all go through
17:50seasons, and and we we're different with
17:53the seasons of our life, amen. So, I'm
17:55thinking Brother Rufus is at home. He's
17:57just But no, he's at church. He's one of
17:59the first ones that show up. He's right
18:01by the door. He's greeting every person
18:03that walks through the door. He smiles
18:06at them, amen. And and I start thinking,
18:08"Well, what is happening with Brother
18:09Rufus?" And the Lord spoke to me and
18:12said, "That is the peace of God that
18:15surpasses all [screaming] understanding.
18:18When you're thinking somebody needs to
18:20grieve, and they may not show up to
18:22church, the Lord says, 'No, let I will
18:24show you
18:27that my peace is greater than your
18:29circumstance.
18:31My peace is perfect.'"
18:37The peace of God, ladies and gentlemen
18:40It's not fragile, it's not
18:42circumstantial.
18:43It's not temporary.
18:46It's a good It's the only true peace
18:49anybody can experience.
18:53Do not let your heart be troubled, says
18:55the Lord.
18:56Don't you dare let fear creep in into
18:59your spirit.
19:02Come on, I'm speaking to somebody right
19:03now that you're going through something.
19:05Maybe you've been going through
19:06something not just for a couple of
19:08weeks, you've been dealing with
19:09something for a couple of years, but do
19:12not let fear creep into your spirit.
19:18We don't live by fear, we live by faith.
19:25We don't We don't let fear dictate how
19:27I'm going to live my life. I'm going to
19:29live by faith. You see, faith and fear
19:32are contrast to each other.
19:39Just got a phone call about 2 hours ago.
19:43Lady from our church I wasn't planning
19:45on sharing this, but
19:47it makes sense.
19:49She calls me and says, "Pastor, I I had
19:50to My son I can't find my son.
19:53He's not at school.
19:55We looked at the cameras, he went to the
19:56bus the bus stop, we don't know where he
19:58is."
19:59And still to this moment we don't know
20:00where he is.
20:0114-year-old boy.
20:03And she's calling me, she's crying.
20:05Now I'm talking to her and I'm telling
20:07you I'm telling her Sister Gina, amen,
20:09don't let fear creep in into your
20:11spirit. Don't let fear Don't you let
20:13fear try to come Amen, and I'm going to
20:15speak this into this atmosphere right
20:17now. We will not allow
20:19fear to try to creep in. I told some of
20:22the brothers of the church when I called
20:23them just now, I said, "We are not going
20:25to be let our lives be dictated by fear.
20:28We are going to trust God. We are going
20:30to have faith in this moment. I'm going
20:32to live by I'm going to hold onto faith
20:35because fear wants to destroy you, but
20:38faith will build you up."
20:45We're going to find him in the name of
20:45Jesus.
20:47Tell him I'm going to get a text right
20:48now. My wife is waiting for a text.
20:49We're going to find him in the name of
20:50Jesus.
20:52They found him. She just confirmed.
20:57>> [applause]
21:01>> Peace, ladies and gentlemen.
21:03We don't let fear try to creep in into
21:05our spirit. Do you see, the prince of
21:07peace has spoken already, amen. His
21:10peace is yours today. You don't have to
21:12wait for his peace. His peace is
21:14unshakable. His peace can quench every
21:17every desire of your His peace can walk
21:20into your heart right now. His peace can
21:22lead your life. You ought to rest in his
21:25peace.
21:32We have to let the spirit remind us
21:34Somebody say the spirit needs to remind
21:36me.
21:38The spirit needs to remind us of the
21:41promises of God.
21:43That's why you have the Holy Ghost.
21:45If you don't have the Holy Ghost, you
21:46need the Holy Ghost.
21:48The Holy Ghost is a compass to your
21:49life. It is the Holy Ghost that leads
21:52you. It is the Holy Ghost that brings
21:54back to your memory the scriptures.
21:56Amen, when you are going through a
21:57moment and you don't know who to talk
21:59to, who to run to, you you lean on the
22:02Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost will
22:05will let you
22:07quote scripture.
22:13The Holy Ghost
22:15John 14:18 says, "I will not leave you
22:18comfortless," says the Lord. "I will
22:20come to you." That's the Holy Ghost.
22:23He had given his his apostles a promise
22:25when he announces to them, "I'm about to
22:27depart you. I'm I'm about to depart and
22:30leave you." And And he tells his
22:31disciples, "All right, but when I leave,
22:33I will not leave you comfortless.
22:37I will come back to you."
22:39Let me remind somebody right now that
22:41you are not alone, that you are not
22:43forsaken. God knows you. He knows where
22:46you're at. He knows the valley you're
22:48walking through. He knows the issues of
22:50your life. You just trust in his word.
22:53He will not leave you comfortless. He's
22:55going to come back to your saving.
23:03Oh, I want his peace.
23:06I want the peace of God.
23:11When Jesus is in your corner, ladies and
23:12gentlemen
23:15everything changes.
23:17His presence alone brings a calm to the
23:20storms that try to shake you. His
23:22presence alone brings security that no
23:25enemy can threaten.
23:28His peace
23:30Just having him near you
23:32shifts the atmosphere.
23:36The peace of God.
23:38But he says the Holy Ghost is your
23:40companion. I'm
23:42I'm going to I'm not going to leave you
23:44comfortless. I will come back to you and
23:46that's a promise. But then a couple
23:48scriptures later, a couple of chapters
23:50later, we're reading in Acts when the
23:53Holy Ghost descends upon the people that
23:55are in the upper room.
23:58That is the fulfillment of the promise
24:00Jesus gave his disciples.
24:03I will not leave you comfortless.
24:05I just ascended into heaven.
24:08The apostles are thinking, what are we
24:09going to do?
24:10Man, Jesus is gone.
24:12What are we supposed to do? They just
24:14remember, well, he told us to go to this
24:15place and we're going to go and we're
24:17going to wait for him. And they're
24:18waiting. Lord, what are you going to do?
24:20You know what's the biggest thing you
24:21can do in the middle of your trial? Be
24:23patient.
24:26Let me help somebody right now.
24:29Don't get impatient with God.
24:31Don't get impatient. Don't try to do fix
24:33things on your own. You don't hear an
24:35answer. You don't know and you think,
24:36well, I'm going to have to fix it on my
24:38own. Let me remind somebody right now.
24:40You are not in control. God is in
24:42control. God is in control of your
24:44circumstance. God is in control of your
24:47marriage. God is in control of your
24:49family. God is in control of your
24:50finances. God is in control. You just
24:53trust him and you just wait patiently
24:56for God to show up.
25:00Because he will show up.
25:03He said, "I will not leave you
25:03comfortless. I will come to you."
25:06So he comes to his disciples and now
25:09they are filled with the Holy Ghost.
25:11Speaking new in a new tongue.
25:15Now the Holy Ghost is a companion
25:17in the life of the believer.
25:21Don't you when you get mad, don't you
25:23say, "Oh, Holy Ghost, you wait right
25:25there. I'll be right back."
25:27Oh, don't you do that.
25:31I was in Ecuador, amen, with my my
25:32siblings. We were playing over there at
25:34a concert doing something for the church
25:36in Ecuador and and we're we're [snorts]
25:37we're visiting and we're touring the
25:39place and
25:41uh we're trying to take a picture
25:43and and a a lady gets all so upset. She
25:46begins to
25:47to say really mean words to us.
25:49And the pastor that was taking us around
25:52uh this place, he got upset. And and you
25:55know, he just began to talk to her, but
25:57one of the the the the ladies that was
25:58with us and when we were traveling,
26:00amen, she told us and this was jokingly,
26:03she said, "I wanted to tell the Holy
26:05Ghost to wait for me in the car that I
26:06was going to be right back."
26:10No, you don't get to do that.
26:14Some of you laughing cuz cuz you thought
26:16about it.
26:20I'll be right back. Let me fix this one.
26:22I got my hands.
26:25I'll fix this one.
26:29Be patient.
26:31Wait on the Lord and he shall renew
26:35your strength.
26:37You wait on the Lord.
26:38You don't You don't walk up. You don't
26:40You don't get ahead of God. Amen. No,
26:42you let him work because even when I
26:45don't see him, he is working. Even when
26:48I don't feel him, he is working. He'll
26:52never stop. He'll never stop working.
26:59Oh, it's so easy to sing it, brothers
27:00and sisters. It's so easy to sing it. We
27:03like the melody. We like how they sing
27:05it at church and we sing it, but when it
27:07comes to you
27:12Where are you, Lord?
27:15Sometimes we got to pay attention what
27:17we're saying when we're worshiping.
27:20All right, that's another preaching for
27:21another time, amen. We'll get into that
27:22later.
27:23Worship team, I'll help you later, amen.
27:25God bless you.
27:29The Holy Ghost is our companion.
27:32We have to let the Holy Ghost
27:36make the utterance
27:38for our soul's troubles.
27:44The Holy Ghost
27:46will remind us of scriptures.
27:49Romans 8:26.
27:51Likewise, the spirit also helpeth our
27:55infirmities.
27:56For we know not what we should pray for
27:59as we ought, but the spirit itself
28:01maketh intercession for us with
28:03groanings which cannot be uttered.
28:07That's why the Holy Ghost is your
28:09companion because it intercedes
28:11for you when you don't know what to say.
28:16That's why the Lord sent his spirit
28:19after to his disciples so that the
28:21That's why Peter got up and the apostles
28:24got up and preached a message because it
28:26was the spirit uttering words. It was
28:30the spirit speaking. Come on, somebody.
28:32It was the spirit moving through the
28:34disciples. They were no longer alone.
28:37Amen. They had a companion, and that is
28:40the spirit of God.
28:45How much time do I have, Bishop? Oh,
28:48I've been preaching for a long time.
28:51I'm going to try to land this plane.
28:53You just give me another hour.
28:56We're almost there.
28:58The infirmities. We think infirmities
29:00and we think the strength of our body.
29:02The want or the strength of our body. I
29:04want this from my body or or or I I I I
29:06I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:07I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:07I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:08I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:09I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:10I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:11I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:11I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
29:14The weakness of your soul, the weakness
29:16of your spirit.
29:18You're walking, amen, and and temptation
29:20comes, and you're always prone to to
29:22fail and to fall.
29:25The weakness
29:27of the soul is also an infirmity, and
29:29the spirit knows how to intercede for
29:31you.
29:36The peace he left behind wasn't attached
29:39to just an idea, no.
29:42It's not just an idea that was going to
29:43float around and then dissipate.
29:46The spirit is attached.
29:50It is with us. It's attached to us. It
29:53is a comforter to us.
29:56So, when we don't know what to say, we
29:58don't know what to think, we don't know
30:01who to go to or who to talk to,
30:03we ought to let the spirit make the
30:05utterance.
30:07Let the comforter remind you of John
30:0916:33.
30:11These things I have I spoken unto you
30:13that in me you have
30:15that in me you might have peace. In the
30:18world you shall have tribulation, but be
30:21of good cheer. I have overcome the
30:24world. We have to let the comforter
30:26remind us of 2 Corinthians 13:11.
30:30Finally brethren brethren farewell.
30:33Be perfect. Be of good comfort. Be in
30:37one mind. Live in peace. And the God of
30:41love, amen, the God of love and peace
30:44shall be with you. Some of us have to
30:47allow the spirit, the comforter, to
30:49remind us of Ephesians chapter 6:10.
30:53Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
30:57Lord and in the power of his might. Some
31:00of us have to allow the comforter to
31:02remind us of Philippians 4:9. These
31:06those things which you have both learned
31:09and received and heard and seen in me,
31:12do. And the God of peace shall be with
31:16you.
31:23Isaiah 48:22 says, "There is no peace,
31:26saith the Lord, unto the wicked."
31:30The wicked doesn't have true peace. Stop
31:32looking to the other side of the fence
31:35and thinking, "Oh, look at them. They're
31:37living a good life. They don't have
31:38peace."
31:40Isaiah says it.
31:42Don't look at your neighbor and the
31:44person that's struggling, the person
31:46Don't look at them and say, "Oh, look,
31:48everything seems good in their life. But
31:50what am I What about me, oh God?" No,
31:52they don't have peace. The wicked
31:54doesn't have peace.
32:01If we have never dealt with our sins,
32:03ladies and gentlemen,
32:04the things we have done against God's
32:06law, then we cannot have peace
32:09because we are considered wicked in his
32:11sight.
32:14Peace. I'm talking about peace here.
32:17Isaiah 32:17 says, "And the work of
32:19righteousness shall be peace." Somebody
32:22say with me, "Peace."
32:23And the effect of righteousness,
32:26quietness and assurance forever.
32:30Let us not be weary in doing
32:34and well doing.
32:35For in due season,
32:37come on, somebody, in due season,
32:40we shall reap
32:42if we faint not.
32:49Harmony.
32:51I was looking at the word peace.
32:55The internet, not that I don't know what
32:56the definition is,
32:58but I was wanting to understand peace a
33:01little bit more.
33:03So, I began to look at some synonyms for
33:04peace.
33:06I began to look at words that mean
33:08peace, but have connections or
33:11correlations with other things.
33:14And I found this popular word that a lot
33:16of us know. In fact, we sing about it.
33:18We use it.
33:19Harmony.
33:21Harmony means peace.
33:24In different context, perhaps.
33:26But there's something interesting about
33:29the word harmony. The word harmony comes
33:31from the Greek Greek word I'm teaching
33:34now because I'm using Greek.
33:36Isn't that what Brother Robinette said?
33:38Amen.
33:41I'm teaching.
33:42The word harmony comes from the Greek
33:44word
33:46harmonia
33:49which means joint
33:50agreement or concord.
33:53In
33:54interpersonal relationships, harmony
33:57means a state in which people or things
34:00coexist peacefully or agree with each
34:03other.
34:04In the context of nature or design,
34:07harmony means a pleasing combination of
34:10elements in a whole
34:13as in color, form, or proportion.
34:17But this is the definition of the word
34:19harmony that caught my attention.
34:23In music
34:25it is a combination of different musical
34:29notes. Somebody say with me musical
34:30notes.
34:32These musical notes are played or sung
34:35at the same time to produce a pleasing
34:38sound.
34:41Harmony. And I'm going to prove it to
34:42you.
34:43I'm going to request myself to sing,
34:45Pastor Olson.
34:49I'm ask my wife to come at this time.
34:51As she is part of this demonstration.
34:54As she is coming
34:56I'm going to sing a very popular song
34:58that we all know and we all enjoy and we
35:00all sing and we all love.
35:03Now, if you know it, you may sing with
35:04me. I give you permission.
35:09How great
35:12is our God.
35:15Sing with me how great
35:19is our God.
35:22And all will see how great
35:27how great
35:30is
35:31our God.
35:34I know that's the most beautiful voice
35:36you've ever heard in your life.
35:39Didn't that sound nice though? And you
35:41don't have to say yes because I'm
35:42watching you.
35:45Nice nice ring to it, right? Nice tune,
35:48I guess.
35:50My wife is going to humble me the moment
35:51I walk out. So, amen. Just fluff me up a
35:53little bit right here.
35:55All good.
35:58Sounding good.
35:59It's one note that's being sung, one
36:02part.
36:03But now, I want you to hear the same
36:05song
36:07and she's going to do the harmony to the
36:09song.
36:11Three, four. How great
36:15is our [singing] God.
36:19Sing with me how
36:23is our God.
36:25And all will see how great
36:30how great
36:33is our God.
36:37Do you hear the harmony?
36:43It takes more than one
36:44to create a harmony.
36:47You want real peace?
36:49You cannot live your life alone.
36:52When you want true peace, you cannot
36:55decide Come on, I'm preaching to
36:57somebody in this house right now and I'm
36:59looking to close right now as I begin to
37:01disclose to you that you your life was
37:04never intended for you to live all by
37:06yourself. No, God wants to create a
37:09harmony with Come on, somebody. The
37:12spirit of God walks with you in the
37:15valley. The spirit of God creates the
37:17harmony in your life when you're just
37:20walking down the valley and you're just
37:22singing a song all by [screaming]
37:24yourself. The Holy Ghost says, "Well,
37:27hold up. Let me come and pretty it up.
37:30Let me come and fix the single note
37:33that's being sung in your life."
37:39You cannot have peace without harmony.
37:44You need more than one person to create
37:46a harmony.
37:49You thought your life was beautiful
37:51alone.
37:52You think you have accomplished a lot of
37:54things alone.
37:55You think that your life cannot get
37:57better than where it is right now. And
37:59you think that just because you're
38:01spending money on this good security
38:03system and that you've invested in good
38:05things, "Oh, I'm going to have peace."
38:07I'm telling you, you will have temporary
38:09peace.
38:12It is not until you allow the spirit of
38:14God to be your comforter and your
38:17companion. union.
38:23And then creates a harmony, Brother
38:25Cole.
38:28Now your life
38:30was so simple,
38:32but now there's harmony because the Holy
38:34Ghost is walking
38:36with you.
38:38Paul and Silas, the Bible says,
38:40Now this is a correlation to music.
38:43Paul and Silas,
38:45Bible says that they're in the inner
38:46cell.
38:48They've been
38:49beat down with rods.
38:53They don't have energy. And I I grew up
38:54in church and I heard this story in
38:56Sunday school. And I always thought in
38:58Sunday school when I heard this story, I
38:59always thought that when the Bible said
39:01that they begin to sing at midnight.
39:03When they were singing at midnight, I
39:04always thought
39:07that they were worshipping like we
39:08worship here
39:09in the inner cell. I always thought
39:11this.
39:12And maybe they were doing that. But the
39:14Lord gave me a different perspective.
39:16You see, I always thought they were
39:17jumping in the cell.
39:18I always thought they were running from
39:20wall all to wall in the cell worshipping
39:21God.
39:23The Holy Ghost said, "Well, have you
39:24considered
39:26that maybe I mean, you they just got
39:28beat up with rods.
39:30Who's going to be jumping?
39:32Not me.
39:35I don't have that kind of My baby has
39:37that kind of energy, but not me.
39:40So the Holy Ghost told me, "Have you
39:42considered that that
39:44they didn't have strength?
39:47They didn't have all this energy to
39:50sing. They could Maybe they couldn't
39:51even they they couldn't sing out loud.
39:53They were just whispering a song.
39:56Maybe they weren't even whispering a
39:58song. They were just humming a song.
40:06And maybe they weren't jumping, Pastor
40:08Olsen.
40:10Maybe they were just
40:12Now consider this, they're in the inner
40:14cell. The Bible says they have shackles
40:16on their feet and shackles on their
40:16hand. I believe that they couldn't even
40:18clap.
40:25They weren't clapping. They weren't
40:26shouting and jumping.
40:28It's midnight.
40:30They're tired.
40:32It's been a hard day.
40:34Life has been really hard.
40:36I've been going through it. Pastor, you
40:38don't know what I've been going through.
40:40It's a My midnight hour is right now.
40:42I'm going through a hard season. And
40:44maybe you don't have the strength to
40:46worship.
40:49So they weren't jumping.
40:51What if What if
40:53they were snapping their finger?
40:57What if What if they couldn't jump, but
40:59they were
41:00they were
41:01tapping their foot?
41:07It doesn't matter.
41:09What matters is is that they they were
41:11creating a sound
41:15so that the harmony of heaven,
41:19the peace of God,
41:21would descend upon that inner cell.
41:27I hope you're understanding what I'm
41:28trying to say right now in the Holy
41:30Ghost.
41:31>> [sighs]
41:32>> You showed up to this service and you
41:34don't have the strength.
41:38Preacher, I can't even make it to the
41:40altar. That's fine. Just just create a
41:43sound.
41:47Preacher, I don't have a voice to sing.
41:53But I can hum.
41:56I can hum before his presence.
42:02And the Holy Ghost told me this and I'm
42:04closing right here.
42:06The Holy Ghost said, "Abel, have you
42:07considered that maybe maybe maybe, okay,
42:12I'm painting a picture to you to you
42:14right now. But have you ever considered
42:15that maybe the very chains that had them
42:20strapped
42:23were the very thing that they were using
42:26to create a sound?
42:32The issues of your life are not to
42:35destroy you, but are only there to
42:37intensify
42:39the peace and the worship in your life.
42:42Come on, somebody. You thought the
42:44valley You thought the issue was going
42:46to destroy you, but all along God put it
42:48in your life so that you you would trust
42:52him.
42:56I'm closing right now. Would you come?
42:57If you have
42:59If you want the peace of God,
43:01if you have
43:03a little bit in you,
