1:31Greetings and salutations to the entire
1:33household of faith.
1:35To everyone who has made their way into
1:38the Lord's house this morning,
1:41uh to give him praise in this afternoon
1:43to worship him, I salute you and I honor
1:46you. Why don't you give your neighbor a
1:48smile? Tell them, "I'm glad to see you.
1:51I'm happy I'm sitting beside you."
1:54Amen. And it is so good for brethren to
1:57dwell together in unity.
1:59>> And I'm glad that I'm sitting with you
2:01in the house of the Lord.

2:09Uh today begins our 21-day
2:12uh period of fasting for the year 2026.
2:17It's our custom every year to start with
2:20a time of just silencing our souls
2:23before the Lord that we might seek him,
2:27that we might receive directions from
2:29him for where he wants us to go
2:31individually and collectively. So, if
2:34you haven't yet gotten one of our
2:36fasting uh booklets, please uh make be
2:40sure to pick up one of them at the uh
2:43the front desk or you could scan the QR
2:46code. Could you put the QR code up
2:48there? Media team, please. You could uh
2:51scan the QR code and you could uh
2:53download a an electronic copy of the
2:57fasting booklet. We want all our hearts
2:59and our minds to be together in this
3:02time of consecration. We also have
3:04prayer every morning. Somebody say every

3:21prayer every morning at 7 a.m. until
3:257:30 a.m. So you want to be a part of
3:27that. This year we it's our custom that
3:32uh Tuesday,
3:34Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday we
3:37would have virtual prayer in the
3:38evenings. Now this year we will have
3:41virtual prayer Tuesday evenings and
3:43Friday evenings.
3:45Wednesday we'll be in the house of Bible
3:47study. Monday nights everybody say
3:49Monday nights
3:51during the time of consecration. Monday
3:54nights, if you don't have any church
3:57sponsored meetings, we're asking that
4:00you spend that time in prayer with your
4:03family. Everybody say, "Me and my
4:06house."
4:07>> Yes. Please spend that time in prayer
4:10with your families. It should be the
4:12intention, the desire of all of us to uh
4:17rebuild our family altars or to
4:19strengthen our family altars. So please
4:22use those Mondays during this time of
4:24fasting and maybe this is a good time
4:27the the the theme of our fast is
4:29restoring the altar. So this might be a
4:32good time you know every now and then uh
4:34we fall off our spiritual disciplines.
4:37All of us do. Has anybody ever fallen
4:39off their spiritual disciplines?
4:41>> Yeah. So this might be a good time to
4:43rebuild some prayer habits.
4:45uh bringing the family together in
4:48prayer on Monday nights and on Thursday
4:50nights. There's an added dimension on
4:52Thursday nights. On Thursday nights,
4:55Lady Leah, could you stand please? We're
4:57asking all those members who you
5:00completed our disciplehip 101 class last
5:04year. If you could still Lady Leah, they
5:06didn't see you. That was too quick. If
5:08you could please see Lady Leah, make
5:10sure she has your contact. Uh, sister
5:13Lady Lee and Lady Danica will be
5:15gathering with our newer members. If you
5:18are baptized and filled with the Holy

6:52worship in the house of God. Amen. Now,
6:57if you have your Bibles, go with me in
6:59your Bibles to the book of Second
7:02Timothy, chapter 3. Second Timothy,
7:06chapter 3. Today, we'll be focusing on
7:09verses 14 through to 17.
7:12I'll read one verse in your hearing to
7:16get us started. And I'll read verse 16.
7:19It says, "All scripture
7:22is given by inspiration of God and is
7:27profitable for doctrine,
7:29for reproof,
7:32for correction,
7:34for instruction
7:36in righteousness. We're continuing our
7:39theme today that we started last week,
7:42which is under construction."
7:45Under construction. that our that's our
7:47series that we're working through for
7:49the next two months, January and
7:51February. Today's subject is the
7:54blueprint, all scripture. The blueprint,
7:59all scripture.
8:04Let me tell you what I've been feeling
8:06in my heart as I've been talking to the
8:09Lord and what gave birth to this series.
8:15I believe that we're in a season. We
8:17talked about divine disruptions towards
8:20the end of 2025.
8:24And I do believe that sometimes we can
8:26become so comfortable
8:29that we no longer grow personally
8:34or collectively.
8:37And sometimes God has to
8:40cause discomfort
8:43to call our attention to our need to
8:46grow.
8:48Sometime he does that.
8:51And while I was really praying and
8:53thinking on this period of construction
8:57as we are reconstructing our sanctuary,
9:01I felt inspired by the Holy Ghost to do
9:05this series under construction
9:09because I do believe in the depths of my
9:11heart that God is trying to reconstruct
9:14our faith.
9:16Many of us have built our faith on the
9:19wrong things.
9:21And God is saying it is time for your
9:24faith to be built on the right things
9:27and for us to mature in our faith.
9:31Today I bring to our thought last week
9:34we spoke on the architect Jesus saying I
9:38will build my church. Today we're
9:40talking about the blueprint all
9:42scripture.
9:44In 1987,
9:46a great year for South Korea,
9:50that was the year they became a
9:52democracy and launched a series of new
9:57building projects.
10:00The Sampum residential complex was among
10:04the new buildings that was designed that
10:07year in Seol, the capital of South
10:11Korea.
10:13The original plan for the building and
10:17the approved blueprints
10:19were for a fourstory
10:22residential apartment building.
10:26However, during the building project,
10:29the chairman Lee Jun decided to deviate
10:35from the approved blueprints.
10:38He decided to change the plan to a
10:42luxury department store because after
10:45all this was more financially beneficial
10:51than a residential building.
10:54But to make this change to the
10:57blueprint, he had to demand the removal
11:01of several support columns to make room
11:05for escalators.
11:07And when the original contractors
11:10refused to build this new design of his
11:14because it was unsafe, he fired them and
11:18hired his own in-house construction team
11:22to build it.
11:24June added a fifth floor that was not in
11:29the approved blueprint. June added a
11:33skating rink despite the warnings that
11:36the structure could not support it. June
11:40added a floor heating system with thick
11:43concrete slabs adding about 3,000 extra
11:47tons of weight that the blueprints never
11:50accounted for.
11:52June dragged and added a 45tonon
11:56air conditioning unit at top the
12:00building because this was his vanity
12:03project.
12:05Brothers and sisters,
12:08let me say this here that at first all
12:11seemed to be well. The construction
12:14finished in late 1989
12:18and the beautiful complex was opened to
12:22the public in July 1990.
12:26For years, shoppers came and went and
12:29business was good. You may display the
12:32image. The beautiful edifice drew people
12:36from near and far.
12:38It looked good. It felt good. though it
12:43deviated from the blueprint.
12:46Well, I hate to tell you that on June
12:4929 1995
12:52the building collapsed under weights
12:56that it was never designed to bear,
13:00killing 52 people and injuring 937.
13:08This collapse serves as to this day the
13:12deadliest modern collapse of a building.
13:17Brothers and sisters, it has become a
13:20cautionary tale about the dangers of
13:24ignoring and deviating from the approve
13:28the approved blueprint in buildings.
13:32But I want you to understand that I am
13:35not just interested in talking about
13:38physical buildings today because the
13:41implications of this extend way beyond
13:45physical buildings and are applicable to
13:49our lives and our spiritual lives and
13:52our church lives. We must ask ourselves
13:56what are we building and what design
14:00what blueprint are we following? Whose
14:04model whose framework are we adopting
14:07and building our lives and our marriages
14:11and our expectations and our education
14:14and our business practices? Whose model
14:18are we following? Are we still following
14:21the blueprint? Or have we fired the one
14:24who gave us the blueprint for life and
14:27hired somebody else who will allow us to
14:31build our lives the way we want it, how
14:33we want it, because we think it looks
14:36better in the short term than what God's
14:38plan says.
14:42Brothers and sisters, I want you to know
14:43that since the creation of humanity,
14:47that God's word has been the manual for
14:51how to get the best practices for human
14:55flourishing. God's word has given to us
14:59the principles to get the best out of
15:02our lives. And I dare say to us that in
15:06the time when the world at large
15:10considered itself to be bible centric.
15:13Do you know anybody remembers the time
15:15when almost everybody knew the Bible?
15:19When you could walk down the street and
15:21you could talk to the random man and you
15:23could ask what is the golden text of the
15:25Bible and they would tell you it's John
15:283 and16.
15:30FOR GOD SO loved the world that he gave
15:33his only begotten son. If you do that
15:35today,
15:37you might not get a response. But but
15:41what I find is in that time where we
15:44were more cristocentric, where we were
15:46more biblioentric
15:48that life was safer than it is today.
15:52We had more houses, more households, the
15:56households that were led by married
15:59couples in whatever demographic of
16:01society and we had less crime and less
16:05deviation in our society because people
16:09were governing their lives by the word
16:11of God. Now we have relegated the Bible
16:14to just another historical book and and
16:17we we we have a choice. We a lot of time
16:19we choose not to read it. And the result
16:22of that is it has not made our lives
16:25better nor made our world better. Am I
16:28talking to anybody here? Glenn Paul
16:31notes quote that the scriptures are
16:34meant to play a vital role. And if we
16:37don't receive those scriptures and know
16:40them so that their work can be done in
16:43our lives, then we're living subpar
16:45lives, subpar Christian lives, not fully
16:50flourishing Christian lives." So, we
16:53need the word of God because God's word
16:56is there to help us to understand God's
17:01design for human flourishing. If we
17:03follow the word of God, we can never be
17:06wrong.
17:08>> We can get the best out of our lives.
17:11>> Brothers and sisters, I read a book in
17:142022
17:16written by author Mark Maddox and
17:19Company. The book is entitled
17:22Understanding Faith Formation.
17:26And in this book, Maddox and company
17:29reported some things that really
17:31bothered me to this day. They still do.
17:34They reported that biblical illiteracy
17:38is at an all-time high, not only in
17:42American culture, but also in American
17:45churches.
17:47They said that there is at once a
17:50widening gap and a closing gap between
17:54the world and the church when it comes
17:56on to our knowledge of the word of God.
18:00There is a widening gap between the
18:02traditional church, the traditional
18:04Christians, those who have maintained
18:07that the word of God is crucial to their
18:11lives. Those saints of the Lord who are
18:14in Bible study, who are reading the
18:17word, a day doesn't pass or a week
18:19doesn't end without them delving into
18:22the word of God. Those who value the
18:25word of God, there is a widening gap
18:27between them and the culture. Because
18:30sometimes you start having a
18:32conversation with somebody and you
18:35mention something from the Bible that
18:37you think everybody should know and
18:39they're like, "Huh? What? Who? Where?
18:43How? Who is that? Who is Joseph? Who is
18:47Mary? Virgin birth. I never heard of
18:49that. So there is that widening gap
18:52between the TRADITIONAL SAINTS WHO STILL
18:55BELIEVE that the Bible is a crucial part
18:58of their lives. But unfortunately, the
19:01gap between the world and the church is
19:04becoming narrower between many of our
19:07Christians who believe that the Bible
19:12should not be a part of our everyday
19:15walk of faith. That the Bible is this
19:18antiquated book that stands in the way
19:22of modernization.
19:24that the Bible stands in the way of us
19:28being as progressive as we need to be.
19:31Am I talking to anybody here? We have a
19:34sect within Christianity that Maddox and
19:36company refer to as quote the Bibleless
19:41Christians. They are trying to build a
19:43Christianity, a Christian life without
19:46the Bible. a Christian life that does
19:49not include reading the word of God on a
19:53regular basis. Pause.
19:56If I should ask in this house right now,
20:01how many of us in here take the time to
20:03read the Bible during the week? Don't
20:06raise your hands because I'm afraid that
20:08there are many of us who will not be
20:10able to raise our hands.
20:13Brothers and sisters,
20:15WE CANNOT BUILD TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFE
20:19without the word of God.
20:22>> We can't build A TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFE
20:25WITHOUT THE WORD OF GOD. And so what is
20:27happening now? Many of the dysfunctions
20:30in our churches ARISING FROM THE FACT
20:33THAT THAT WHICH IS OUR very blueprint,
20:36our very manual HAS BEEN IGNORED BY THE
20:39MASSES of people. That which God
20:42designed to be to to enable us to gain
20:45the mind of God is now relegated to the
20:49bookshelves GATHERING DUST IN MANY OF
20:52our houses.
20:53A lot of us as Christians do not engage
20:56THE WORD OF GOD DURING THE week and we
20:59wonder why am I not enjoying church. We
21:02come to church and we expect the pastors
21:04to entertain us. We want the preachers
21:07to preach us happy. But is there anybody
21:09in the house that as you're reading the
21:12word of God all week that THERE IS A JOY
21:16THAT IS BUBBLING UP INSIDE OF YOU? When
21:18you read the promises of God in the word
21:21of God, something in you is bubbling up.
21:24So much so that when you come TO THE
21:26HOUSE OF GOD ON A SUNDAY MORNING, NOBODY
21:29HAS TO SING YOU HAPPY. NOBODY HAS TO
21:31PREACH YOU HAPPY BECAUSE THERE'S A JOY
21:33IN YOU THAT IS THERE BECAUSE the word of
21:36GOD ARE SWEET TO YOUR HEART AND YOUR
21:39MINDS.
21:43>> Let me talk about it here today.
21:46We've got a problem of Bibleless
21:48Christians,
21:50moral therapeutic theistic Christians
21:54who believe THAT THE BIBLE DOES NOT
21:56GOVERN MY LIFE.
21:58SO WE spend all week laying our soul a
22:02soak to hip hop culture
22:05and then we come to church on a Sunday
22:07morning AND WONDER WHY WE CAN'T FEEL
22:10ANYTHING,
22:12why we can't enjoy church. IT'S BECAUSE
22:15WE'RE NOT DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY. GOD IS
22:18SAYING TO US, THE BIBLE IS YOUR
22:20BLUEPRINT. AND I'M INVITING YOU TO GET
22:23BACK INTO THE WORD OF GOD.
22:28This is what the Lord is calling of us.
22:31>> You can't build a Christian life without
22:34the Bible. You can't build a Christian
22:37life without learning about the Christ
22:39who is at the center of the scriptures.
22:41YOU CAN'T BUILD A LIFE THAT IS PLEASING
22:44TO GOD WITHOUT GETTING IN THE WORD OF
22:46GOD.
22:48God is saying to us, I WANT MY CHURCH TO
22:50GET BACK TO THE BASICS. I WANT MY CHURCH
22:53TO GET BACK TO THE WORD OF GOD. I WANT
22:55MY CHURCH READING THE LOVE LETTER THAT I
22:58SEND THEM 2,000 YEARS AGO. I WANT MY
23:01CHURCH TO KNOW MY MIND BY KNOWING my
23:04word.
23:07>> This is what the Lord is saying to us,
23:10brothers and sisters.
23:13The thing that has deceived a lot of us
23:14is
23:16that many of the people that we know who
23:19are living on the edges of the Christian
23:21faith. For some of you children, they
23:24might live in the very house with you.
23:27Because you see them at church
23:28professing one thing and at home they
23:30are something else. Living on the
23:32fringes of Christian faith. And you may
23:35say, "I can do the same thing." Because
23:38they are getting away with it. They seem
23:41successful. Their businesses seem to be
23:43thriving. They seem to be doing all
23:44right. Come back here to the story that
23:46I shared with us earlier. The Sampong
23:49Tower was opened in 1990
23:53and collapsed IN 1995. FOR 5 YEARS, IT
23:58was a beacon of success.
24:00It seemed successful. It looked
24:03beautiful from the outside. And even
24:05though there are there were reports that
24:07there were cracks in the in the roof and
24:09in the wall and in the structure of the
24:11building, they just kind of put a veneer
24:14over it and painted it over and it
24:16looked beautiful, but underneath the
24:19structure was about READY TO COLLAPSE.
24:21LET ME TELL YOU THIS, SOME people may
24:23look good and LOOK SUCCESSFUL, BUT ONLY
24:26WHAT IS BUILT ON THE WORD OF GOD WILL
24:29STAND THE TEST OF TIME.
24:32And even if it does stand the test of
24:34time, it will not stand the test of
24:36eternity. Because John said that when we
24:38get before God, he will open the book
24:41and then other books. He's going to open
24:43up the word of God and he WILL JUDGE US
24:46OUT OF THE THINGS THAT WERE IN THE WORD
24:48OF GOD. I WANT to challenge every child
24:50OF GOD IN HERE. GET BACK TO THE
24:52BLUEPRINT THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US TO GUIDE
24:55AND GOVERN our lives.
24:58Oh,
25:00>> let me tell you this. Can I tell you my
25:02heart? I am not interested in having a
25:05mega church of Bibleless Christians.
25:10My whole aim and desire is that whether
25:13you came in 10 years ago or 10 weeks ago
25:16that you're on a journey of knowing the
25:18word of God. Am I talking to anybody
25:20here? AM I TALKING TO ANYBODY IN THIS
25:22HOUSE? I AM NOT INTERESTED IN USING
25:25carnal means to gain people because
25:27whatever you use to draw people, you got
25:30to USE MORE OF THAT TO KEEP THEM IN THE
25:32HOUSE OF GOD. I WANT SOME PEOPLE WHO
25:35WANT TO GROW IN THE WORD OF GOD.
25:44Brothers and sisters, the master builder
25:47of the universe, the master builder of
25:50our church, when he was getting ready to
25:53build the world around us that has been
25:56operating for millennia, they say when
26:00he was getting ready to catapult the sun
26:02in space and the earth, he used the
26:06word. Everybody say word.
26:08>> YES. IT'S GOD'S word that BUILT ALL OF
26:12THIS THAT YOU AND I WALK ON EVERY DAY.
26:15IT'S GOD'S WORD THAT BUILT THE SOIL from
26:19which they extracted the material that
26:21built YOUR CAR. IT'S GOD'S WORD THAT
26:24MADE THE SOIL AND THE ROCKS FROM WHICH
26:26THEY EXTRACTED MATERIALS THAT BUILT YOUR
26:28HOUSE. IF YOU CAN TRUST THOSE THINGS,
26:31TRUST THE WORD OF GOD BECAUSE ALL OF
26:33THESE THINGS ARE BECAUSE GOD'S WORD IS.
26:37It's a blueprint.
26:39It's a blueprint.
26:41And God has so ordained that we can't
26:44have successful Christian life without
26:48the word of God. In fact, I'll go
26:50further to say that we can't GET THE
26:52BEST OUT OF OUR LIVES WITHOUT THE WORD
26:55of God. IT IS GOD'S WORD THAT LAYS DOWN
26:57THE BASIC PRINCIPLE FOR HOW human life
26:59ought to operate. God's word. God's word
27:03number one becomes the foundation of our
27:05faith. Everybody say the foundation of
27:08our faith. It has to be the foundation
27:12of our faith. It has to be the
27:16foundation of our faith. Can I challenge
27:18us one more time? I said THE WORD OF GOD
27:21HAS TO BE THE foundation of our word.
27:24Human philosophy may change. SCIENTOLOGY
27:27MAY CHANGE. OTHER THINGS MAY CHANGE. BUT
27:29ONLY THE WORD OF GOD WILL ABIDE FOREVER.
27:32IT has to be the foundation of our
27:34faith.
27:35Oh,
27:36>> hallelujah. Here's what Paul said to
27:38Timothy. He said to him in the context
27:41of verses one through to 13 where he
27:45talks about perilous times are going to
27:47come. Dark times are going to come upon
27:50the earth. And can I tell you, we are
27:52not saying that dark times are going to
27:54come. We are now saying dark times are
27:57here. Because everything that Paul
28:00listed between verses 1 and 13, they are
28:03already happening in our world. OPEN
28:05YOUR EYES AND LOOK AROUND YOU and you
28:07WILL SEE THAT PERILOUS TIMES ARE HERE.
28:10>> And he said to him, in light of that,
28:12what I want you to do, Timothy, you must
28:14continue in the things that you have
28:16learned. You must continue in the word
28:19of God because from a child, you have
28:21known the holy scriptures that are able
28:24to make you wise unto salvation through
28:27faith. that is in Jesus Christ our Lord.
28:30You've got to hear me, brothers and
28:32sisters. We need a foundation of faith
28:35that is built on nothing but the word of
28:38God. I I love people, BUT THANK GOD FOR
28:41PEOPLE, BUT MY FOUNDATION IS BUILT ON
28:44THE WORD OF GOD.
28:47>> Do I have a witness in the house of the
28:49Lord?
28:50>> Brothers and sisters, here is what Paul
28:52said to Timothy. He said to him that the
28:54scriptures shape childhood. That's the
28:56first part of verse 15. He said to him,
28:58from a from childhood, from a child, you
29:01have known the holy scriptures. From a
29:03child, you have been provided a set of
29:06framework in the word of God that
29:08teaches you how to live, that teaches
29:10you how to govern your sexuality, that
29:13teaches you how to govern your appetites
29:15and your passions. Parents, come here.
29:16Lean in for a second. Lean in for a
29:18second here. Here's the deal. Stop
29:20waiting on the church to disciple your
29:22children.
29:24Oh, can I say it again? Oh my goodness.
29:28Stop waiting on some Sunday school
29:30teacher to disciple your children. Can I
29:33talk to what's really in the house
29:34today?
29:35>> Let let me talk what the Lord has been
29:37laying on my heart.
29:40>> ONE OF THE ILLS WE ARE HAVING IN THE
29:42MODERN CHURCH culture
29:44is that we have put
29:47WE HAVE PUT THE HORSE BEHIND THE CART.
29:52You see in the scriptures from the Old
29:56Testament to the New Testament,
29:59the disciplehip of the children did not
30:02begin when they gathered corporately for
30:04worship. No
30:07parents,
30:09here's what it says in the Old
30:10Testament, in Deuteronomy, you know that
30:11same Deuteronomy 6 that we love to quote
30:14here. O Israel, the Lord our God is one
30:16Lord. Every apostolic knows that, right?
30:20But what else does that chapter say?
30:23Thou shalt teach them diligently to your
30:26children when you sit at home, WHEN YOU
30:29WALK BY THE WAY. Am I talking to anybody
30:31here?
30:33>> And then in the New Testament, it says,
30:34"PARENTS OUGHT TO INSTRUCT THEIR
30:37children in the nurture and the
30:38admonition of the Lord." Here is where
30:41we're getting IT WRONG. WE LET OUR
30:44CHILDREN ALL WEEK LISTEN TO Beyonce and
30:47listen to all of THESE FOULMOUTHED HIP
30:49HOP cultured artists and then they we
30:52bring them to church on SUNDAY AND TELL
30:54OUR PASTORS AND OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL
30:56TEACHERS, YOU CHANGE THEM. AM I TALKING
30:58TO ANYBODY IN HERE?
31:02>> IT WILL NOT WORK. IT'S TIME OUT FOR THAT
31:06NOW.
31:07>> WE NEED TO GET BACK TO BIBLEBASED
31:09DISCIPLEHIP. SIT DOWN WITH YOUR CHILDREN
31:12AND TEACH THEM THE WORD OF GOD. TEACH
31:15THEM HOW TO PRAY SO THAT WHEN THEY COME
31:17TO CHURCH, WE CAN REINFORCE WHAT YOU'RE
31:19TEACHING in the homes.
31:28>> From a child, you have known the holy
31:31scriptures. How did Timothy learn this?
31:33Go to the book of Timothy. I think it's
31:35chapter 1. He said to Timothy uh 2
31:38Timothy 1, he said to him, "Stir up that
31:40faith that is in you." Hallelujah. The
31:43gift that is in you that has been in you
31:46that was placed there by your mother and
31:48your grandmother who taught you the word
31:51of God. Parents, don't just give them
31:53fancy shoes and money and clothes. No,
31:57give them the word of God. GIVE THEM A
32:00FRAMEWORK FOR THEIR LIVES. AM I TALKING
32:02to anybody? TRAIN UP THE CHILD IN THE
32:04WAY HE SHOULD GO. SO WHEN HE'S OLD, HE
32:07WILL NOT DEPART from it.
32:09>> Am I in the Bible?
32:13>> I shared in the first service this
32:14morning. I want you to hear me now that
32:18I've been waiting for the right time to
32:20bring Daniel into our morning devotions.
32:23I'd pray for him before he goes to
32:25school. Pray for him in the van or pray
32:26for him, sit at the sofa and pray with
32:28him before he goes to school. And my
32:30wife has been saying to me, "Hun, we
32:32need to bring Daniel into devotion." But
32:33he's not a morning person and he can be
32:36quite disruptive. And so I said, "It's
32:39not time. We're going to wait. Give him
32:40some time until he understands more and
32:43get himself together." But but towards
32:45the end of last year, we decided to to
32:48bring him into devotion. And can I tell
32:49you, I was so disheartened that morning.
32:53I felt like a failure that morning
32:56because my son just didn't want to pray.
33:00He didn't want to be in there. He He
33:01wanted to go watch TV or go play with
33:03his toys. Lean in here for a second. I I
33:06felt like a failure because I thought,
33:09Shepherd Mother, I thought I had time on
33:11my hand. But what I didn't realize was
33:14that these children are growing at a
33:16faster rate than we can imagine. And
33:20while we are waiting for them to
33:22understand to bring them into prayer and
33:24in the presence of the WORD OF GOD,
33:27THERE is YouTube and there are movies
33:29and media houses and our education
33:32SYSTEM THAT ARE FILLING THEIR MINDS WITH
33:35ALL KINDS OF GARBAGE TO BRING THEIR LIFE
33:37IN. AM I TALKING TO ANYBODY IN THIS
33:40PLACE? I'M GOING TO CHARGE AND CHALLENGE
33:42EVERY PARENT UNDER THE SOUND OF MY
33:44VOICE. BRING THOSE CHILDREN INTO PRAYER
33:47AND THE WORD OF GOD.
33:51I feel the Holy Ghost in this place
33:54incline their minds to spiritual things.
33:58We've got a carnal generation even in
34:01Can I say it plainly? We've got a carnal
34:04generation even in our churches BECAUSE
34:07WE ARE NOT INCLINING THEM TO SPIRITUAL
34:09THINGS. WE TELL OURSELVES THAT THEY ARE
34:12TOO YOUNG. WE TELL OURSELVES THEY DON'T
34:14WANT THE OLD SONGS. WE TELL OURSELVES
34:17THEY DON'T WANT THE SCRIPTURES. WELL,
34:18HERE'S THE DEAL. They will never want
34:19the scriptures. They'll never want the
34:21songs that bring them to worship OF
34:23THEIR GOD. THEY WILL ALWAYS WANT THE
34:25CARNAL, FILTHY, SO-CALLED GOSPEL SONGS.
34:28WHY? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE'VE GIVEN
34:30THEM.
34:31>> Because we tell, we tell ourselves they
34:33don't want this. Oh, I feel the burden
34:35of the Lord.
34:37>> My God.
34:41>> The scriptures must shape childhood.
34:44The scriptures must shape consecrated
34:47faith. Paul calls it the holy
34:49scriptures, the sacred writings, the
34:53sacred letters that are consecrated to a
34:56divine purpose and that consecrate the
34:59vessels through which they pass. What
35:01Paul is saying to us is that as you pass
35:04scriptures through your mind and your
35:06heart, there is a cleaning and a
35:09cleansing effect that comes with the
35:12word of God. Push, pause. Can I tell you
35:14this brothers and sisters? For 10 years
35:17I was a Bible quizzer. 10 years. 1990 to
35:20the year 2000 I was a Bible quizzer. And
35:24it was in that time that I did high
35:26school and college. And can I tell you,
35:32look at me today.
35:35I'm not bragging.
35:37I didn't I didn't come out too badly,
35:39did I? Did I?
35:43What? What's my point? What's your
35:44point, pastor? Oh my goodness. I wish
35:46you could see and feel what I'm feeling
35:48in my heart. What? What's my point? When
35:51I read the scriptures, they so purified
35:54and purged and cleansed my mind that
35:57they made the learning of mathematics
35:59and physics and the sciences and the
36:02psychology easier for me as I studied.
36:06Am I talking to anybody here? The Bible
36:08said to us, wherewith all, how will a
36:10young person cleanse his way? And the
36:12answer is given by taking HEED ACCORDING
36:16TO THE WORD OF GOD. WE CAN'T GO WRONG
36:19WITH GIVING OUR children the word.
36:24>> I know you love your science. Study the
36:26word. I know you love your business.
36:28Study the word. Can I tell you this?
36:30When you study the word of God and read
36:32the word, you'll become a better
36:33scientist. You'll become a better
36:35business person. You'll become a better
36:36educator. AM I TALKING TO ANYBODY HERE?
36:38GET IN THE WORD OF GOD SO GOD CAN
36:41CONSECRATE YOU.
36:44Shapes childhood faith. It shapes
36:45consecrated faith. It shapes converting
36:48faith. It shapes converting faith by
36:50imparting wisdom to us. It gives us
36:53wisdom in the word of God. You know, one
36:55writer said, Ji Parker said, "If I were
36:58the devil, one of my first aims would be
37:01to stop folk from digging into the Bible
37:05because it is the conduit pipe through
37:08which God's power and authority flows to
37:11us." Brothers and sisters, I'm afraid
37:14that Satan doesn't want us to get in the
37:16word of God because there's a certain
37:17wisdom that God gives to us. If you
37:20could get in the word of God, he'll give
37:22you wisdom about your sexuality. You may
37:25feel like you're trapped in another
37:28body, but the word of God will
37:29straighten it out in a quickness. It
37:31will TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE MADE FOR THE
37:33BODY YOU'RE IN. AM I TALKING TO ANYBODY?
37:35Am I
37:40>> It makes us wise. Wise about who we are.
37:44Wise about our helplessness. Wise about
37:46our inability to save ourselves. and
37:48wise about the fact that there is a God
37:51who has made a way for us to be safe.
37:54When we get in the word of God, they
37:56develop faith in us. Because in the
37:58word, we read about the Messiah who came
38:01and gave himself for our transgressions.
38:04And all I need to do now is to put my
38:07trust in him, to put my faith in him by
38:10obeying him, by repenting of my sins,
38:12AND BEING BAPTIZED IN WATER in the name
38:15of Jesus, AND BEING BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY
38:18GHOST, I I DEVELOP FAITH IN GOD THAT
38:21LEADS TO my being saved. Hallelujah.
38:25>> There are many people who can testify
38:27that they felt like they couldn't make
38:30it. They were helpless, hopeless sinners
38:32on their way to hell. But they heard the
38:34word of God. They heard that there is a
38:37God who saved. They believed the word.
38:40They repented. They were full of the
38:42Holy Ghost. And today they can testify.
38:44Look what Jesus did WHEN HE WASHED ME.
38:46ALL BECAUSE THEY believed the word of
38:50God.
38:53It is the foundation of our faith.
38:56>> But can I go further? The word of God is
38:59the framing of the follower. It's the
39:03framing of the follower. It is that
39:05framework that you put to mark out. You
39:08know, before they start building a
39:10building, they have a way of putting a
39:12wooden framework around it so that they
39:15know the dimensions. They know where
39:17they're going to build. They know where
39:19to put a wall. They know where to put a
39:20door. Am I talking to anybody here? They
39:22they PUT A FRAMEWORK around it so that
39:25the structure can take shape. Well,
39:27here's the deal, BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
39:29THE WORD OF GOD IS THERE TO shape every
39:33one OF US WHO CALLS OURSELVES A FOLLOWER
39:36OF JESUS CHRIST. How many followers of
39:39Jesus are in the house?
39:42>> If you're a disciple, raise your hand.
39:45>> If you're a follower of the Lord, raise
39:46your hand. You are you're not just
39:48following the church because of Omar
39:50Williams, but you're following because
39:52of Jesus. If that's you, raise your
39:54hands in the house. You You show up on A
39:57SUNDAY MORNING NOT BECAUSE OF Omar
39:59Williams, BUT YOU SHOW UP ON A SUNDAY
40:00MORNING BECAUSE OF JESUS. RAISE YOUR
40:02HAND. YOU ARE A FOLLOWER OF HIS.
40:09>> WELL, here's the deal, followers. You
40:11need God's word
40:13>> to frame you and structure you so you
40:16can be built right and your Christian
40:18life can be built the way God intends
40:21for it to be. Here's what it said in
40:24verse 16. All scripture is given by the
40:27inspiration of God and is profitable for
40:29doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
40:31for instruction in righteousness. This
40:33is talking about uh putting a framework
40:36around us that gives shape and
40:38structural integrity to the life of
40:41every believer so that I can be and
40:45become AND DO ALL THAT GOD HAS CALLED me
40:48to be become and do by his word of God.
40:53This framework came out of the
40:55mastermind. Notice it said in verse 16a,
40:58the first part, that all scripture is
41:01given by the inspiration of God, the
41:04breathing of God. This these words that
41:07we live by in the holy scriptures
41:09literally were breathed out by God into
41:13the the hearing of those who wrote the
41:15word of God. And every time you pick up
41:18the biblical text and you begin to read
41:21it, God begins to breathe a new into
41:24your soul, into your life. That is why
41:27we've got a custom that we never say the
41:29Bible said, past tense, but we say the
41:34Bible says present continuous. WHY?
41:38BECAUSE THE Bible is always speaking.
41:41The word of God, the divine inspiration
41:44of God IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE. IF YOU OPEN
41:48UP YOUR BIBLE, GOD BEGINS TO TALK TO
41:50YOU. You've been saying, "I want TO HEAR
41:52FROM GOD." OPEN UP THE WORD OF GOD AND
41:55ALLOW GOD TO SPEAK TO YOU OUT OF THE
41:58VOLUME of his book. Oh, am I talking to
42:01anybody here?
42:03God's words are divinely inspired. The
42:07the mastermind behind the word is divine
42:10inspiration. God divinely breathed words
42:14out of himself so that they can be
42:17inhaled by you and I. When I read the
42:19word, I'm inhaling the breath of God in
42:22my life. And can I tell you ah when we
42:25inhale the word of God our lives become
42:28a sweet aroma to those who are around us
42:33BECAUSE THEY FEEL in our lives the
42:36breath of the very creator. They feel
42:39through our lives and their interaction
42:41with us the breath of the VERY ONE THAT
42:44CREATED THEM AND FORMED THEM IN THEIR
42:47MOTHER'S WOMB. I feel the Holy Ghost in
42:49here. When God's word BEGINS TO SHAPE
42:52US, it becomes easier for people to
42:55relate to us. Am I talking to ANYBODY
42:56HERE? AS LONG AS THOSE PEOPLE want to
43:00walk in the way of the Lord.
43:02>> Oh,
43:05>> but can we talk now about the
43:06methodology? Because the mastermind is
43:08settled. God has already breathed the
43:11word out and those words were preserved
43:16and recorded recorded at great hazard to
43:20people's lives.
43:22Many of the men of God who wrote the
43:24word of GOD DID NOT WERE NOT GIVEN THE
43:27OPPORTUNITY TO DIE OF NATURAL CAUSES.
43:30Isaiah was put into a log and saw in a
43:34sunder. Every single apostle and
43:36disciple were killed in gruesome ways.
43:40Some were tied to horses and horses drew
43:43them apart. Some were burned at a stake.
43:45Am I talking to anybody here? And those
43:48men who came after them to ensure that
43:50the Bible could be in our language, MANY
43:53OF THEM DIED TRYING TO PRESERVE THE SAME
43:56WORD OF GOD THAT YOU AND I REFUSE TO
43:58READ ON a daily BASIS. AM I TALKING TO
44:00ANYBODY HERE? TOO MUCH BLOOD HAS BEEN
44:02SHED FOR ME TO NOT READ the word that
44:06has come down to me.
44:09Hallelujah.
44:11Hallelujah.
44:12Here is the methodology. Put on your
44:14seat belt. This one is a little rough
44:15today, but it's all right. We need this
44:17every now and then. Not every sermon
44:19need to make you shout and jump.
44:22Some of some of them all of them ought
44:24to teach us how to live
44:26>> the way that is pleasing in the sight of
44:28God.
44:31Hey God, thank you. The methodologies,
44:35how do we apply what God has breathed
44:37out to us? How do we apply that which
44:40has come through the peril of human life
44:43that you can have it on a phone, you can
44:45have it as an app on your tablet, you
44:48can have it as a book, a printed BOOK IN
44:50YOUR HOUSE. HOW DO WE APPLY THIS? HERE'S
44:53what Paul says to us. He says, firstly,
44:55through doctrine. That word doctrine
44:56means teaching. Everybody say teaching.
44:59Everybody shout teaching. Shout to your
45:02neighbor. No, don't shout to your
45:03neighbor. Say neighbor, we need
45:04teaching.
45:06Tell the other neighbor on the other
45:07side, neighbor, we need teaching.
45:12Now, brothers and sisters,
45:16brothers and sisters,
45:19there's a lot of complaints
45:21every day in church life.
45:25And a lot of it come because
45:28dysfunctions have arisen out of a
45:31mistreatment
45:33of what God has put in our hands.
45:37We want the best out of church
45:41without applying the best principles
45:43that make church healthy.
45:49Come on. Come on. Don't tune me out now.
45:51Lean in here because I'm going to preach
45:53this hard.
45:56>> A lot of us are complaining that church
45:59is not united.
46:05CHURCH IS NOT GROWING. I DON'T FEEL LIKE
46:06I'M GROWING. WELL,
46:08let me show let me bring you back to
46:10scripture to the blueprint in Acts two.
46:14The ideal church, the model church, the
46:19healthy growing church was built on
46:22three primary foundations.
46:24THEY CONTINUED STEADFASTLY.
46:28AH, I feel the Holy Ghost in here.
46:31>> In what? Fog machines.
46:34They continued steadfastly
46:37in the best marketing machinery. THEY
46:41CONTINUED STEADFASTLY
46:43in money. THEY CONTINUED STEADFASTLY
46:46IN MEDIA. They Is that what it said?
46:50>> No. They continued STEADFASTLY
46:54IN THE APOSTLES TEACHING.
46:57>> Lean in. Lean in. Lean in. Lean in here.
47:00LOOK THIS WAY. THE CHURCH WAS HEALTHY
47:03BECAUSE THE people of the church
47:06continued steadfastly under their
47:08pastor's teaching.
47:15>> Oh, I don't feel connected with my
47:17pastor,
47:18>> but your pastor is here teaching Bible
47:20study every Wednesday night and you
47:22never show up one time. I don't feel
47:23connected with my pastor, but you tune
47:25out the pastor's preaching. AM I TALKING
47:27TO ANYBODY IN THIS HOUSE? YOU WANT ME TO
47:29COME TO WHERE YOU ARE, BUT GOD IS SAYING
47:31TO YOU, WE NEED TO GET TOGETHER UNDER
47:34THE PASTOR'S TEACHING. OH, SHAMA, good
47:37God from on high. A LOT OF MARITAL
47:40ISSUES THAT WE'VE HAD TO END UP DEALING
47:42WITH IN HERE AND RELATIONSHIP ISSUES IS
47:45BECAUSE PEOPLE REFUSE TO adhere to the
47:48teaching of the church.
47:53>> I feel radical and rough in my spirit
47:56this morning.
47:59Tighten your seat belt.
48:03>> The church can only be healthy
48:06to the extent that the people are
48:09WILLING TO MAKE THE sacrifice to
48:12continue steadfastly under their
48:15pastor's teaching
48:19>> and then TOGETHER IN FELLOWSHIP AND IN
48:22PRAYERS.
48:24We have over 700 on paper,
48:28but we see barely 150 on Tuesday morning
48:32prayer. Thank you for all those who make
48:34the time out to be in prayer every
48:35Tuesday morning. Thank you. We see about
48:3850 of you in Bible study on a Wednesday
48:41night and then the rest of you complain,
48:43we're not united. Well, here's the deal.
48:46News flash. If we are not doing the
48:48things that unite us, NO PASTOR CAN
48:52UNITE A CHURCH THAT DOESN'T WANT TO BE
48:54UNITED BY DOING WHAT THE BIBLE HAS
48:57PRESCRIBED FOR A UNITED CHURCH.
49:01>> We don't need better marketing strategy.
49:03We need TO CONTINUE STEADFASTLY UNDER
49:06OUR PASTOR'S TEACHING. WE NEED TO BE
49:09HERE AT BIBLE STUDY. I feel like
49:12preaching in here
49:13>> and I know some of you might say, "This
49:15is not preaching." Go back and read the
49:16word. Paul said to them, I wrote you a
49:18letter and I know it was rough. Sometime
49:21this is a rough letter right here.
49:24>> You stay at home. We look we have we
49:26have we we we have become so comfortable
49:29that we God can't even shake us. We
49:32become so comfortable that God himself
49:34can't even change us because we have
49:36locked our MINDS AGAINST HIM. WE HAVE
49:38TOLD GOD, "THIS IS HOW I AM AND I'M NOT
49:41GOING TO CHANGE."
49:45Lean in for a second,
49:47brothers and sisters. I know not
49:49everybody can make it here physically in
49:50a Wednesday night.
49:52Some can't drive at nights.
49:56Some are homebound. I know that. And I'm
49:58not being insensitive to those causes.
50:01But you want to tell me that the
50:02majority of our 700 people on record
50:06can't make it here on a Wednesday night
50:07for Bible study. Two services, one on
50:09Sunday morning, one on Wednesday night.
50:11We can't make it here to be under the
50:12apostles teaching. And I'm not calling
50:14myself an apostle now, but the pastors,
50:17the leaders teaching, and those whom God
50:20has gathered to teach us the word of
50:21God. How do we become a united church?
50:24How do we become a BIBLICALLY LITERATE,
50:27SOLID CHURCH THAT IS GROUNDED IN THE
50:29right things?
50:32How? You tell me.
50:35They continued steadfastly under the
50:38apostles teaching. Brothers and sisters,
50:41it starts with right teaching.
50:45It starts with right teaching that
50:48aligns us with the word of God. When you
50:51come here on a Wednesday night, I don't
50:53have time to mess around with
50:55therapeutic sessions. We've got care for
50:57that. I don't have time for that. When
50:59you come in a Wednesday night, we are
51:01giving you the unadulterated word of
51:03God. We are TRYING TO HELP US TO
51:05UNDERSTAND THAT WHICH we have read and
51:07might not understand so that WHEN WE
51:09COME TOGETHER IN THE HOUSE OF GOD, WE
51:11CAN HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF HIS
51:13WORD AND HOW TO APPLY TO OUR LIVES. WE
51:15NEED TEACHING
51:17>> in the word of God,
51:24>> the apostles teaching.
51:26And then every now and then we need some
51:28rebuking.
51:30>> That's a missing art from the church.
51:35But I promise you, this is not Lakewood.
51:36This is not Joel Ostein.
51:41>> No, this church
51:43is going to say what God's word says.
51:47>> GOD'S AM I IN THE BOOK?
51:49>> AM I IN THE SCRIPTURES?
51:52GOD'S WORD SAYS THAT THE WORD OF GOD
51:55HELPS US BY TEACHING us and also by
51:58rebuking us
52:00>> by reproving us. That word reprove means
52:02rebuke. It means that when things are
52:05not right, I need to rebuke it by the
52:08word of God. I FEEL THE HOLY GHOST IN
52:10HERE AND I POINTED OUT THINGS THAT ARE
52:13NOT SITTING RIGHT WITH ME by the word OF
52:15GOD. AND I'M SAYING TO US, GOD'S WORD IS
52:18REBUKING US RIGHT NOW,
52:20>> SAYING, "Get it right.
52:24>> It's to teach.
52:26It's to rebuke. It's to correct. It is
52:29to teach us how to get it right. It's
52:33providing the practical tips for us how
52:36to get it right. And then it's there to
52:38train us how to stay right. And when we
52:41GET IT RIGHT, HOW DO WE STAY RIGHT? HOW
52:44DO we live right so that we don't fall
52:47off track again? BECAUSE THERE IS TOO
52:49MUCH AT STAKE. THERE IS TOO MUCH TO GAIN
52:52TO LOSE.
52:53>> HALLELUJAH.
52:54>> HALLELUJAH.
52:56>> HALLELUJAH.
52:58So God's word is there the foundation of
53:01our faith. It's there for the framing of
53:03the follower. Lastly, it is there for
53:07the furnishing for our function. God's
53:10word furnishes the child of God. so they
53:13can learn how to function in what God
53:16has called them to do. Here it is in
53:19verse 17. That the man of God may be
53:22complete, thoroughly furnished, equipped
53:25for every good work. The Bible is saying
53:28to us that it is through the word of God
53:31that we find primarily the equipment,
53:35the furnishing. When we get in the word,
53:37God's word will equip you to do what God
53:41has called you to do. Am I talking to
53:43anybody in this house? Yes. Yes. Yes. We
53:46may have training sessions and whatnot,
53:48but the primary equipment for what God
53:52has called us to do is the word of God.
53:55I need God's word to shape my character
53:58and my conduct that I may function
54:01effectively in what God has called me to
54:04do. When I stand to lead, I do NOT STAND
54:06HERE GOVERNED BY HUMAN PHILOSOPHY. NO, I
54:09STAND HERE GOVERNED BY THE WORD OF GOD
54:11BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD WILL TEACH US
54:14HOW TO function
54:16>> effectively.
54:20>> It is the spirit of God that calls
54:22people to service. Yes, the spirit of
54:24God calls us a service. In the Old
54:26Testament, several time we read, "And
54:28the spirit of the Lord came upon so and
54:31so for service." We see that in the case
54:33of Gideon in Judges 6:34. We see that in
54:36the case of David 1st Samuel 6 and verse
54:4013. And over in the New Testament, we
54:42see in Acts 1 and8, the disciples of
54:45Jesus, which includes us, are called and
54:48empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the
54:50work of the Lord. In Acts 13 and:e 2,
54:53Paul and Barnabas were called by the
54:55Holy Ghost to do the work of the Lord.
54:57In Acts 20 and verse 28, pastors are
55:00called by the Holy Ghost to do the work
55:02of the Lord. It is the spirit that calls
55:04us to service.
55:06But it is the scriptures that prepare us
55:09for the service. It is the scriptures
55:11that equip us to serve in the house of
55:14God. In the Old Testament, Joshua
55:17learned how to lead the people and have
55:20good success by following the word of
55:22God. Joshua 1 and verse 8. Ezra in Ezra
55:257 and verse 10 learned how to lead the
55:28people of God by the word of God. David
55:31in Psalm 119:105
55:33learned how to lead the people by the
55:36word of God. And in the New Testament,
55:38the Bible said in John 17:17, "Sanctify
55:42them through thy truth. Thy word is
55:45truth." In other words, if you hang with
55:47the word of God, there is a change and
55:50an empowerment that the word of God will
55:52begin to bring to YOUR HEART. THERE ARE
55:55THINGS THAT YOU MAY NOT BE able to
55:57figure out on your own. But if you open
55:59up THE WORD OF GOD and begin to dig in
56:01the word of the Lord, you'll find that
56:02God will begin to speak to you out of
56:05his book and TEACH YOU HOW TO BE AND
56:07BECOME WHAT and who he has called you to
56:10be. Am I talking to anybody in this
56:12house? It is the word of God that
56:15enables us to live victorious because it
56:18is the same word of God that is a sword
56:20of the spirit by which we fight against
56:23every plan of the enemy. It is the word
56:26of God that enables us to get victory
56:29over Satan. Every time the devil brought
56:32a temptation before Jesus, he looked
56:35back at him and said, "It is written."
56:37Am I talking to anybody here? You want
56:39to be AN OVERCOMING CHRISTIAN? YOU WANT
56:41TO BE A VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN? STAY IN
56:43the book. Stay in the word. And when the
56:46devil COMES AGAINST YOU, TELL HIM, "I
56:48KNOW WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT ME." AM I
56:51TALKING TO anybody here? IT IS WRITTEN,
56:53SAID THE LORD OUR GOD.
56:57I feel the Holy Ghost in this place. Uh,
57:00yes. It is God's word that mature us. It
57:03is God's word that prepare us to become
57:06everything that GOD HAS DESIRED FOR us
57:10to be. AND I AM HERE TODAY in
57:12Pentecostal Tabernacle to say to you
57:15today, we can't be Bibleless Christians.
57:18WE CAN'T BUILD SOMETHING FOR GOD THAT
57:21DEVIATES FROM THE framework and THE
57:24BLUEPRINT THAT GOD HAS LAID OUT FOR US.
57:27YOU WANT TO BUILD SOMETHING STRONG,
57:29build it on the word of God. Build your
57:31marriage on the principles of the word
57:33of God. BUILD YOUR STUDIES ON THE
57:36principles of the WORD OF GOD. BUILD
57:38YOUR LIFE ON THE PRINCIPLES. EVERYTHING
57:40THAT YOU DO IN YOUR LIFE, LET IT BE
57:43BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF GOD'S WORD.
57:46>> I feel the Holy Ghost in here on a
57:49Sunday morning, stand on the word of
57:51God. When you go to school on Monday,
57:53STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD. WHEN YOU'RE
57:55WALKING TO THE MALL WITH YOUR FRIENDS ON
57:57THE WEEKEND, STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD.
57:59AM I TALKING TO ANYBODY IN THIS HOUSE?
58:01GOD IS CALLING FOR SOME PEOPLE WHO LOVE
58:05HIM THROUGH HIS WORD.
58:11>> I'd be insulted if I wrote somebody a
58:13love letter professing my love for them
58:15in six to six books and they never open
58:18it to read it. Am I talking to anybody?
58:20Hallelujah. How would you feel if you
58:23gave somebody a love letter and they
58:24never read it? WELL, GOD IS SAYING, "I
58:27GAVE YOU A LOVE LETTER IN MY WORD. READ
58:31my word AND ALLOW MY WORD TO FORM you
58:35and shape your hearts."
58:38Let me close. Let me close. Jesus
58:42after the sermon on the mount, the
58:44sermon on the mount spanning three
58:46chapters, Matthew 56, and 7. And at the
58:50end of the sermon on the mount, at the
58:52end of teaching them life principles,
58:56Jesus said to them, "Those who hear my
58:59word and do it are like those who build
59:03on the rock. THOSE WHO HEAR MY WORD AND
59:07WALK AWAY AND DECIDE, WELL, I'M JUST
59:09GOING TO CONTINUE living how I'm
59:10living." Let pastor say what he want to
59:11say. He's old anyway.
59:15Yeah.
59:17He said you are like those if if that if
59:19you fall in that category then you are
59:21acting like those who built on the sand.
59:23Two houses built the same in close
59:27proximity
59:28looked the same
59:31but their blueprints were different and
59:33so their structure were different.
59:38And when the storms of life came, when
59:41the winds blew, when the flood waters
59:44rose and the earthquake shook, THE HOUSE
59:48THAT WAS BUILT ON THE sand collapsed
59:52just like the Samjun tower, and the one
59:55that was built on the rock stood and
59:58remained standing.
60:00You have a choice today, Penta. What
60:02house do you want to be?
60:05Do you want to be the one that's on the
60:07sand

60:10>> Well, I challenge you today in the Holy
60:12Ghost. Begin to consult THE BLUEPRINT

60:19TO YOUR WORD. GO BACK TO the scripture.
60:22GO BACK TO THE BASIC INSTRUCTIONS THAT
60:24GOD HAS GIVEN US IN HIS WORD.
60:27>> If you've left it, get back to it. Come
60:29on. Come on. Nudge your neighbor. Nudge
60:31your neighbor. So neighbor, if you left
60:33it, get back to it. If you've STOPPED
60:35READING THE BIBLE, GET BACK to reading
60:37the word of God. And if you're reading
60:39it, read it just a little bit more. And
60:41if you're reading IT WELL, KEEP UP THE
60:43GOOD WORK. BUT THE BIBLE IS OUR
60:46BLUEPRINT.
60:49>> And we can only build solid structures,
60:52integral structures building on the word

61:53HOUSE TO ASK YOURSELF HONESTLY, WHERE
61:56HAS MY LIFE DRIFTED OUT OF alignment
62:00with God's design? I want to challenge
62:02everyone in this house to ask yourself,
62:05what good work is God calling me to do?
62:11I want to challenge you on Saturday of
62:14this week to sit with yourself. God will
62:18be there with you, too. I won't, but God
62:20will.
62:22I want to challenge you to ask yourself,
62:25did I read the scripture daily?
62:29Saints, I don't know if this is really
62:31gripping us the way I I feel it in my
62:34heart. We cannot be Christians without
62:37reading the word.
62:41You can't lay your soul a soak in
62:44hip-hop music and soap operas AND ALL
62:47THESE THINGS ALL week and not read the
62:50scriptures and expect to feel God. It's
62:52not going to work.
62:56>> IF WE'RE SERIOUS ABOUT THIS THING, BE
62:58SERIOUS ABOUT IT.
63:00Ask yourself, did I read the scripture
63:03daily?
63:05Did I encounter something that rebuked
63:08me in the scripture?
63:10Am I correcting what God has rebuked?
63:14And am I allowing myself to practice the
63:17disciplines of the word of God that will
63:19help me to get better in the area that I
63:22am corrected?
63:27That's what God is asking of us. I know
63:30this is a rough one today,
63:33but this is church.
63:38This is not playhouse. This is church.
63:43>> Prayer singers, I want you to sing with
63:44me. Thy word
63:46>> is a lamp unto my feet. It's the
63:48challenge, by the way, is on the
63:50screens. You can, if you can go back a
63:52slide. Go back a slide. I want everybody
63:55to take a picture of it, capture a
63:56picture of it. The questions I want us
63:58to ask ourselves at the end of this
64:00week, I want to challenge everyone in
64:03this house. When you get to the end of
64:06this week, ask yourself, did I consult
64:09the blueprint daily? What am I building?
64:12HOW AM I BUILDING? AM I BUILDING
64:14SOMETHING THAT'S GOING TO FADE or

64:18Am I letting God rebuke me and correct
64:20me out of his word?

68:54>> Build on that because that can't be
68:56shaken. Father, in the name of Jesus, we

69:12about the blueprint that is there to
69:15shape our lives
69:18in a way no pastor can,
69:21in a way no person can.
69:25persons, people will go, but the word
69:28stays.
69:30May we, oh God,
69:33lean heavily upon the foundation of the
69:37word of God.
69:39May we, oh God,
69:42learn how to love you more out of what
69:45your word says to us. For your word
69:50exposes your love language
69:54>> and shows us as a people how to love you
69:57not on our own terms.
70:00We have enough people in this
70:02post-modern world who are proposing to
70:05love you on their own terms and they
70:07think you accept anything they slap on
70:10to you. But oh God,
70:14raise up a biblically literate
70:16congregation
70:18in this house
70:21that is every day becoming more astute
70:25in the things of God and how to love you
70:28in the way you desire to be loved.
70:31And oh God, by the power of the Holy
70:34Ghost, give us the strength of character
70:37to rebuild and to reclaim the
70:40disciplines
70:42that make us consult the word before we
70:46go to social media
70:48to make us be more interested in what
70:51your word says than how many likes we
70:54have on Instagram.
70:56Make us, oh God, desire you more than
71:01what our emails have to say in the
71:03morning time, Lord, or the newspapers.
71:07Oh,
71:09oh,
71:13strengthen that which remains.
71:16those who have deviated from the habit
71:18of reading the word, the discipline
71:21thereof, we ask you that by your grace
71:24and your mercy, give us strength to find
71:26our way back.
71:28>> Hallelujah.
71:28>> And those who have never started the
71:30discipline in the first place, give us
71:33the strength in the Holy Ghost. But
71:36Lord, we confess that often times the
71:38things that we need to do are the
71:40hardest to do. And you know that. So we
71:44pray that by your grace and your mercy,
71:47you'll enable us to do it right and to
71:49do it well, to learn you, to learn your
71:52will, to learn your principles, and to
71:54be able to apply them to our lives so
71:56that every inch of our lives will be
72:00under the inspection and the plum line
72:04of your word. Do it in us, Lord. It is
72:07our desire to be a great church for you.
72:11To plant roots that cannot be plucked up
72:15by devil's doctrines,
72:18>> by deceptive cunning that people will
72:21try to bring against the church.
72:25>> That is a test of how strong and
72:27integrous our church is. How we can
72:30stand up to the scrutiny of false
72:33doctrine and survive.
72:35>> This is what we desire. Oh God, for your
72:37people, make us strong and integrous in
72:41the word of the Lord.
72:48>> Show us your mind, your will, and your
72:50way, and how to walk in ways that are
72:53pleasing to you. M us, grow us up, fill
72:58us, prepare us, use us. A shama glory
73:04hallelujah for that which you have
73:06called us to do in this hour. And we
73:09will be careful to give you glory and
73:11honor. As we leave this house, bring us
73:14savior to our places of residence and
73:17let the word of the Lord linger long in
73:19our hearts. Do not allow the devour to
73:22be able to remove it, but may we
73:24meditate in it and be better in you, oh
73:27God. In the name of Jesus, we pray. If
73:31you could raise those right hands across
73:32this building.
