Summary

Drawing from the rediscovery of the Law during King Josiah's reign, Pastor Sammy calls the church to return to the foundational Word of God through sincere repentance and a renewed fear of the Lord.

Key points
  • The Book of the Law was lost for decades during the reigns of Manasseh and Amon but was rediscovered by Hilkiah the high priest during the reign of Josiah.
  • King Josiah's response to the rediscovered Word-tearing his clothes and weeping-serves as the model for true repentance and a tender heart before God.
  • The central purpose of the Word of God is summarized in four actions: to hear, to learn, to fear God, and to observe to do His will.
  • The sermon warns against 'spiritual drifting' and highlights that while all things are possible with God, it is dangerously difficult to renew those who have tasted the heavenly gift and then turned away.

Life application

Identify an area of your life where the 'Book' (Scripture) has gone missing or been neglected, and practice repentance this week by realigning your daily habits with a specific biblical command you have recently overlooked.

Reflection questions
  1. Like the lost Book in the temple, what parts of God's Word have become 'lost' or hidden in your daily routine?
  2. When was the last time the Word of God moved you to the point of a 'broken heart and a contrite spirit' like King Josiah?
  3. Pastor Sammy mentioned the 'little space of grace' remaining for us; how does this urgency change the way you view your current trials?
  4. What does it mean for you to 'paddle against the tide' (like the saints in Guyana) to prioritize worship in your current season of life?

0:34Today I present to you
0:43I present to you Pastor Sammy.

0:53you could.
0:57A boatman was
1:00boating a missionary across the river.
1:05And the missionary asked the boatman, he
1:09says, "Do you know theology?"
1:14And the boatman says, "No,
1:17I don't know."
1:19And the boatman turned to the missionary
1:21and he asked him, "Do you know
1:23simology?"
1:25And he says, "No, I don't know.
1:30Something I know and something I don't
1:34know, but there is one thing I know that
1:37I was blind and now I can see. I was
1:42deaf and now I can hear.

2:28Mother Sammy is not able to be here
2:30today, but I bring greetings from my son
2:35Andrew Sammy who is also giving
2:38leadership to the church in Guyana
2:41and to all the saints
2:44of the Lord God most high.
2:47I give honor to the honorable doctor and
2:52sister Russell.
2:54He served in almost all the churches in
2:57Guyana.
2:59Dr. Russell was a graduate from the
3:01Apostolic Bible Institute.
3:04He was ordained a minister
3:07and he was elected unanimously
3:10to serve as the prosecutor
3:12of the largest county
3:15in the cooperative republic of Guyana,
3:19the Esibbo
3:21County.
3:25Dr. Russell and sister Debbie, they
3:28purchased
3:30all the materials
3:33and the supply all that was needed
3:36to build the church in the the Palmers
3:42and he served as pastor of that church.
3:46Many souls were saved under their
3:48ministry and five licensed minister came
3:53out under the leadership and guidance of
3:56Dr. Russell. Can we give him a manty
3:58hand clap of praise?
4:02An also says that pastor and mother
4:05Dawson came to Guyana in the year 1976
4:11and planted the UPCG.
4:14They serve as missionaries to Guyana,
4:17Surinam and Trinidad and Tobago.
4:21They were principles also of the
4:23Apostolic Bible Institute
4:26and pastor served as a district
4:28superintendent of UPC of Guyana.
4:31And under their tenure, the tenure of
4:33pastor and mother Dawson, they were able
4:36to see 22 churches planted in that
4:41nation both on the coastline and the
4:44river areas and we are happy to have
4:48them as part of our lives and being our
4:50teacher leaders
4:53and guide. and we are building upon the
4:57foundation that they have laid and I am
5:01so honored to serve under the leadership
5:05of Pastor Dawson and Mother Dawson. Um
5:09and they have guided me accordingly and
5:12we give God praise and thanks for his
5:15wonderful works and for his mighty acts.
5:19Let us give them a hand clap of praise
5:21today.
5:25And there are a few pictures that uh the
5:28brethren have that will be posted. And
5:30with this is the the true Pentecostal
5:34tabernacle
5:36um in the pomeoon river.
5:39This building was done by the honorable
5:43doctor Vincent Russell and mother Debbie
5:46and I am pastoring here presently in the
5:51Pomero
5:52region. Praise God. Isn't that a
5:54wonderful building?
5:59It's an 18 by 36.
6:02Um last year August, Pastor Dawson and
6:05his team came from from um the USA and
6:11uh 45 of them came along with the doctor
6:14and pastor Eastman from Canada and we
6:18were able to visit and they preached and
6:20they teach in that tabernacle.
6:24There is a runaway there that comes
6:26directly from the river straight to the
6:31platform of the church. The reason for
6:33that is because the place are being
6:35flooded.
6:37This is the side of the building. It's
6:39quite kind of deteriorated a little bit,
6:41but we are working furiously to to get
6:44it done. We have already purchased um
6:47some concrete there to lay under that um
6:51under the the beam to prop up the
6:57columns and get it going. That happens
7:00to be the side of the the tabernacle.
7:05This is the runaway
7:08that we walk upon from the river to go
7:11to the church. Notwithstanding that
7:14river is full of piranhas
7:17and I do baptize in that river. But what
7:21we do before Before I going to do the
7:25baptism, I will have men come with
7:28hitting stick and stand in the water and
7:31beat upon the water. Scare the piranhas
7:34away. And then I will get into the river
7:38and then I will bring my candidates and
7:40baptize them in the name of Jesus Christ
7:43for the remission of their sins.
7:47Amen. We are continuing to build upon
7:50what the doctor has laid in that river.
7:53It would have and these are some of the
7:55saints from from the um the pomearoons.
8:00They do say in their regards to you and
8:03they asked me to convey their regards to
8:06Dr. um Russell and I do travel to go
8:11into that river. We have a twoman boat.
8:14You have one man boat. We call it a
8:16oneman bicycle.
8:18And we have two two two men um canoe.
8:22But now we are um using a 10 ft with a
8:2815 um outboard motor or 15 horsepower
8:32outboard motor. You can see um this is
8:35um one of the boats that we normally use
8:38to go into the um the palmoon. That's a
8:42platform that we climb upon. It was
8:44deteriorated then but prior to the visit
8:47the last visit in August we did repair
8:50that platform and it is very much usable
8:54and climbable. Thank God for the
8:57honorable doctor there last year when
8:59they came to preach the gospel of Jesus
9:02Christ and him crucified. That's uh me
9:05standing there with a black hat and
9:06that's my son in between us with the the
9:10gray shirt there. Andrew Van Katami, the
9:14honorable doctor and a few brethren from
9:16Pastor Dawson Church that is standing
9:20um behind him. And this is a mode of
9:23transportation that we use to go into
9:26the river in areas and preach the gospel
9:30of Jesus Christ and him crucified.
9:35There were times when I had to travel
9:37four days journey, two days in and two
9:40days out for one meeting. I traveled two
9:45days to get into the river
9:48to preach the gospel to one man. And it
9:51took me two days to get out. A four days
9:54journey for that one meeting.
9:57Eventually, I was able to baptize that
9:59man and his family in the name of Jesus
10:02Christ
10:04and we have a beautiful church go going
10:08in there. But this was not what it used
10:11to be. It was very much a jungle and I
10:15got lost one time in the jungle and I
10:17had a great encounter
10:20um with different species and the Lord
10:23miraculously
10:24delivered me um from the dangerous
10:27species and protected me. This is pastor
10:30Dawson and his team when they came last
10:34year August
10:36to visit the church in Guyana and they
10:39were in the pomearoons there. They were
10:42able to visit at least four churches
10:45and two in the jungle areas and two
10:49churches on the coast line. And the door
10:53is open for you to come sometime and to
10:56visit our an invitation. A door is open
10:59for the honorable pastor and the
11:02brethren to come. Um behind there we
11:05have our bathroom facilities. As you can
11:07see, you see that white house there.
11:11I I made sure that we did a bathroom
11:14facilities before the brethren came to
11:17um
11:19to the river. That's a team and the
11:21bathroom facilities. And that gentleman,
11:24that gentleman way down with that light
11:26green shirt there is Pastor Andrew
11:28Eastman. He's from the church in in
11:31Canada. From Canada. Remember Pastor
11:33Andrew Eastman? He's from Canada. He
11:36went on the u the mission trip to the
11:40the country of Guyana. They did had a
11:42wonderful and exceptionally wonderful
11:45time. Many many people received the gift
11:48of the Holy Ghost and I left I was able
11:51to baptize at least five people in the
11:53name of our Lord and Savior Jesus
11:56Christ. To God be the glory. Great
11:59things he has done. Isn't God wonderful?
12:03Isn't he marvelous and miraculous. There
12:06is none above him. There is none beneath
12:08him. There is none beside him. He stands
12:11alone. He is the king eternal, immortal,
12:15invisible. the only wise God to whom be
12:18glory, to whom be honor, and to whom he
12:22praise. And it was a it was an honor to
12:24have the doctor returned to that
12:26tabernacle to see the work there. And
12:29he's standing right up there up on top
12:32there declaring the gospel along with
12:35Pastor Dawson. We have a beautiful
12:38pulpit there. You see my pullpit?
12:40Did a wonderful pullpit in that church
12:42there? Wonderful pulpit. And on the
12:46bottom there,
12:47that's the boat. One of the members of
12:49the church, they have a boat and we are
12:51using that boat now to try and do work
12:55in the missions and in the creeks and in
12:57the jungle areas.
13:00So God is doing a wonder, wonderful,
13:03wonderful work. Amen. I do travel
13:06hundreds of miles on land and have to
13:10cross many rivers to do my mission work.
13:14The Lord has been using me in outreach,
13:18in pioneering, evangelizing,
13:22planting churches, and raising pastors
13:26to serve these these churches. The Lord
13:29will speak directly into my hearing and
13:33give me names of places and I would go
13:37to place that I don't know and people
13:39that I have never met before into the
13:42river rainers into the coastlands and
13:45the Lord will make a way out of nowhere
13:49and God was able to do the impossible
13:54that we are able to accomplish our plan
13:57and our purpose.
13:58in Christ Jesus. To God be the glory.
14:03Amen. We planted a beautiful church in
14:06in uh one of the mountains area and and
14:13God has saved many many many
14:16people. That young lady there, Sister
14:19Seline, she's our missions director.
14:23Um and I'm standing next to her, my son
14:25with that glass at the front there. and
14:27that brother with a white hat, the other
14:29two brothers, they are working with me
14:32in missions, outreach and evangelism as
14:36we go around the country planting
14:38churches and preaching the gospel of
14:41Jesus Christ and him crucified.
14:44We are preaching the raw gospel. We are
14:47preaching the message of repentance.
14:50>> We are preaching the message of
14:52deliverance and salvation in the name of
14:55Jesus. We are preaching soul security.
14:59We are preaching people to be saved from
15:01this untoward
15:03generation.
15:05We are not preaching prosperity.
15:08Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his
15:11righteousness and all these things shall
15:14be added unto you. Life is not
15:17consisting abundance of things a man own
15:20or possesses, but life is peace and joy
15:24and righteousness in the Holy Ghost. To
15:27God be the glory. Great things he has
15:30done. That's inside of the tabernacle in
15:33the Pomeroon um area.
15:37And we were able to I built those pews
15:40way way back about a 100 miles away. I
15:44split them up in pieces and then we're
15:46able to transport them in both and we
15:49were able to assemble them in the
15:51tabernacle. Ladies are doing a wonderful
15:54job in keeping the place so nice and
15:57clean and make it accessible for people
16:00to come in and worship God. You see we
16:04don't have limitation to our worship
16:06there because people are coming by boat.
16:09They are coming against the tide and
16:11with the tide. The problem there is not
16:14to get people to start to worship. The
16:17problem is to stop them
16:20stop them from stopping to worship that
16:23we may have more time because of the
16:26sacrifice they are making to come. They
16:28are giving up something for something of
16:30a much more higher and greater value
16:34>> and they want to capitalize upon every
16:36ounce of it. The mode of transportation
16:39is walking miles. One lady paddles six
16:43miles against the tide to come to the
16:46church. People walk on the banks of the
16:48river to come to church. And when people
16:51get there, they are not going to waste
16:53any time.
16:55They come for business to worship God
16:58and to give him glory and praise and
17:00honor which he rightly deserve.
17:04Hallelujah. And so we appreciate
17:07what God is doing and how God is saving
17:10people and securing their souls.
17:14God is an awesome God. There is none
17:17like unto him. He's a miracle worker.
17:20He's a God of the impossibilities.
17:23And with God all things are possible.
17:26God is marvelous. Isn't God marvelous?
17:30He's able to heal. He's able to deliver.
17:33and he's able to set free. Isn't God
17:36good to give us so many blessings?
17:39Undeserving. That's what they are. I
17:42want to love him and praise him more
17:45today and a whole lot more tomorrow
17:49because of what he has done for me.
17:51Hallelujah.
17:54Hallelujah. In the name of Jesus Christ.
17:57Hallelujah.
17:59I have never been to this place before.
18:02This is my first time. I have never
18:04stood upon this pulpit. I had wanted to
18:07ask the doctor in which direction this
18:11pullpit is placed. I didn't ask him. I
18:13want to come in and to see for myself.
18:17And where I'm standing here today is
18:21what I saw. Amen. And I when I look on
18:24my left hand side in February in the
18:28month of February when the doctor told
18:31me that I'll be coming here when I look
18:34on this left hand side I was standing
18:36right here and I mentioned it to him
18:39yesterday that I saw a person and I saw
18:43a person on my left hand side and the
18:46first thing that I look forward today
18:50how this was positioned And when I
18:53looked, I saw the person that I saw in
18:57my dream. I saw you.
19:00>> I saw you.
19:03>> I saw you.
19:06I saw this lady
19:09exactly like she's looking here today on
19:11my left hand side. I saw you being very
19:16quiet,
19:18being waiting upon the Lord God
19:20Almighty. and the Lord have you in mind?
19:23Whatsoever is your asking, whatsoever
19:27petition and request that you are
19:30making, I'm saying to you today, have
19:33that confidence that God has already
19:37supplied all your need according to his
19:40riches and glory.
19:42Whatsoever circumstances and situation
19:45you are going through, God is fighting
19:48your battles and you are victorious in
19:52the name of Jesus. The battle is the
19:54Lord but the victory is yours today in
19:57the name of Jesus. The battle is the
19:59Lord but the victory is yours today in
20:03the name of Jesus Christ. And I come to
20:05tell you here today that the battle is
20:08the Lord and the victory is yours in the
20:10name of Jesus Christ. You are victorious
20:13in Jesus name.
20:16Praise God. I'd like to go to the the
20:20word of the Lord God Almighty today and
20:23I like to read from
20:26um 2 Kings chapter 22 verse 8 through uh
20:3011.
20:34And Hilliah
20:37the high priest said unto Sha the
20:39scribe, I have found the book of the law
20:42in the house of the Lord. And Hilliah
20:45gave the book to Sha and he read it. And
20:48Chaan the scribe came to the king and
20:51brought the king word again and said,
20:53"Thy servant have gathered the money
20:55that was found in the house and have
20:58delivered it into the hand of them that
21:00do the work, that have the oversight of
21:03the the house of the Lord. And Shaan the
21:05scribes shu the king saying, "Ela the
21:08priest had delivered me a book." And
21:10Shaan read it before the king. And it
21:14came to pass when the king heard the
21:15words of the book of the law that he
21:19ripped his clothes. And the scripture
21:22verse is taken from the book of 2
21:25Chronicles 30 and verse 9.
21:28For if you turn again unto the Lord,
21:32your brethren and your children shall
21:34find compassion before them that lead
21:36them captive, so they shall come again
21:39into the land. For the Lord your God is
21:42gracious and merciful, and will not turn
21:44away his face from you, if you will
21:47return unto him. Return unto him through
21:53repentance.
21:55Praise God.
21:57Hallelujah.
21:59The book
22:00was to establish
22:03a covenant relationship between God
22:07and his people.
22:09It was a formal binding relationship.
22:14It's like a legal marriage
22:17signing a compact or an agreement that
22:21we are going to live as man and wife.
22:25So the book was to establish a covenant
22:27relationship
22:29between God and between the people and
22:33setting out guidelines how they should
22:35live holy as a people,
22:39as a godly people, as a fearful people.
22:46And before I continue, the Lord reminded
22:49me that I have not said thanks to Sister
22:51Annet.
22:55Spencer,
22:57thank you very much.
22:59I've been communicating with her, but I
23:01you did slip me, but the Lord reminded
23:03me that I have slipped me today. Thank
23:05you so very much, sister. And I give
23:08honor to the book highlight God's
23:11righteousness, God's holiness,
23:15God's standards,
23:17and God's justice.
23:21The book
23:26The book is essential for aligning one's
23:29life with God's will,
23:32God's plan,
23:34and God's purpose.
23:39The Bible tell us in 2 Kings chapter 22
23:42and verse 8 that Hilkaya the high priest
23:46tells Sha the scribe, I have found the
23:48book of the law in the house of the
23:51Lord.
23:53in 2 Chronicles chapter 34 and verse 14
23:58confirms the same event specifying that
24:02he found the book of the law given by
24:05Moses
24:07and Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 24- 26
24:13provides the context
24:15showing that Moses commanded the Levites
24:19to place this book of the law written by
24:22Moses beside the ark of the covenant.
24:26This book
24:28of the law was hidden or lost during the
24:3155 years of King Manasse and the two
24:35years of King Ammon. But it was
24:38discovered in the 18th year of the reign
24:42of King Josiah.
24:45This book help us to foster spiritual
24:49growth. Second Peter chapter 3 and verse
24:5318. It help us to achieve spiritual
24:57prosperity.
24:59Jeremiah chapter 7 and 17 and verse
25:03eight. And it highlights the need
25:07for a savior. The need for a savior and
25:12for our soul security. Romans chapter 6
25:16and verse 23. The book as a guide for
25:21obedience unto the Lord God Almighty.
25:25James chapter 1 and verse 22. On the
25:29other hand, this book exposes
25:31crookedness,
25:33sin, and spiritual drifting. Proverbs
25:37chapter 2 and verse 14.
25:42And Hebrews chapter 2 verse 1 and three.
25:47Warn believer to play close attention
25:51to the truth they have heard lest they
25:54drift away from the faith. Take warning
25:59and pay close attention to the truth.
26:03Hose writing in the fourth chapter and
26:06the sixth verse he said the people are
26:09destroyed
26:11due to lack of knowledge and forgetting
26:16the law of God.
26:18We need to remember
26:21the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 12 and
26:23verse one says remember the creator in
26:27the days of their youth. won't forget
26:30where we were, what we were doing, and
26:33where we are now because of the goodness
26:36and the mercies of our Lord and Savior
26:38Jesus Christ.
26:41Joshua chapter 1 and verse 8, he wrote,
26:44"The book of the law shall not depart
26:47from your mouth. It shall cause you to
26:50have great success among other things."
26:55The book provides the exact reliable
26:58reference line according to the plum
27:01line of the word of God. Amos chapter 7
27:05and verse 7. The book provides a little
27:09space of grace that is remaining for us
27:13today in the name of the Lord Jesus
27:15Christ. Ezra spoke in chapter 9 and
27:19verse 8. He says, "But there is a little
27:22space of grace for us to capitalize on.
27:26There is not much space remaining for
27:29us. Therefore, we need to capitalize on
27:32that grace space. The book provides a
27:37rrooting to take us back to the road
27:41that we were upon. The book is our
27:45manual. The book is our teacher, our
27:48leader, and our guide. If we miss the
27:52manual, we miss Hallelujah. fitting
27:56things together. We have to find the
28:00missing book. We have to return
28:04to the book. We have to plunge into the
28:08book. We have to dive into the book. We
28:12have to examine the book. We need to
28:15take a microscopic view of the book. We
28:19need to get into all the scriptures. We
28:23need to look at the word of God from
28:26cover to cover.
28:28>> We need to look at it from Genesis to
28:31Revelation.
28:33We need to look at all the 1,189
28:37verses, chapters in the Bible. We need
28:41to take a closer look and examine all
28:4431,12
28:47verses in the Bible. Look upon it line
28:51upon line, precepts upon precepts. For
28:54in it there is life and there is a
28:57better living. Give the Lord a mighty
28:59hand clap of praise and glorify the name
29:03of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
29:07>> Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
29:09>> Hallelujah.
29:11>> The book of Deuteronomy chapter 31 and
29:14verse 12 encapsulate
29:16the core purpose and application of the
29:21book in its entirety. It says I like to
29:24go that over again. The book of
29:26Deuteronomy chapter 31 and verse 12
29:29encapsulate the core purpose and
29:32application of the book. He says,
29:35"Gather the people together, men, women,
29:39children, and strangers all that they
29:43may hear the word, that they may learn
29:47the word, that they may fear God, and
29:51that they may observe to do all the will
29:55and the words of the Lord Jesus Christ."
29:58Can you hear me, somebody? Am I talking
30:01to us today? The core purpose is to
30:05hear, to learn, and to fear. And the
30:09application is to observe, TO DO ALL THE
30:13WORDS of the Lord Jesus Christ. Give the
30:16Lord a hand clap in the house of the
30:17Lord.
30:20We just need not to hear from the
30:23written book, but we also need to hear
30:27the audible voice of the Lord Jesus
30:30Christ. John chapter 10 and verse 27, he
30:34says, "My sheep hear my voice."
30:38Hallelujah. The sheep, my sheep hear my
30:42voice.
30:46They recognize me.
30:49>> They have a relationship with me and
30:52they obey me to do my words and to do my
30:56will.
31:01May I submit to you that no, he heard
31:04and obey God in fervent fear, build the
31:09ark, and save his family from a global
31:12flood. Hebrews chapter 11 and verse 7.
31:17Abraham, he heard,
31:20fueled by fear, the word says,
31:25was willing to obey God and was willing
31:29to sacrifice his only son. He heard, he
31:33feared, and he do. Despite his initial
31:37fear, Moses heard God that the burning
31:41bush obeyed and lead the children of
31:45Israel out of the land of Egypt. We also
31:49need to hear the audible voice of the
31:53Lord Jesus Christ. We would have heard
31:56from the written word and faith cometh
31:58by hearing and by hearing of the word of
32:01God. But we also need to hear the
32:04audible voice of the Lord God Almighty.
32:07Samuel heard the audible voice of the
32:10Lord. And he says, "Speak Lord, for your
32:12servant heareth." And like these men, we
32:15are also available to hear from the word
32:18of the Lord God today.
32:22The book says that when King Josiah
32:26heard the law read to him,
32:30especially the parts applicable to the
32:32present circumstances
32:34that he was in, that is to say,
32:36Leviticus chapter 26 and Deuteronomy
32:40chapter 28.
32:42When he heard the reading of the book,
32:45upon hearing the curses for
32:47disobedience,
32:49he tore his clothes,
32:55a sign of great distress and repentance
32:59unto the Lord God.
33:02He wept before God and initiated
33:06sweeping reforms to turn Judah back to
33:10God. Hallelujah.
33:13God recognized Josiah heart as tender
33:17and acknowledged his humanity in tearing
33:19his clothes and weeping and God promised
33:24to delay judgment.
33:27Following this, the word says that
33:29Josiah renew his covenant with God,
33:33destroyed idols,
33:35and strictly enforced the commandments
33:39mentioned in the book.
33:41You would agree with me that 2 Kings
33:44chapter 22 and verse 11 made this
33:47declaration
33:49and it notes that when the king heard
33:51the words of the scroll, he tore his
33:53clothes in grief
33:56and recognition of Judah's sin. As a
33:59result, scripture described him as a
34:01king who turned to the Lord with all his
34:03heart.
34:05Unlike
34:07King Amiah in 2 Chronicles chapter 25
34:10and verse 2, he did that which was right
34:15in the sight of the Lord, but not with a
34:20perfect heart. Not with a perfect heart.
34:24God loves a man with a broken heart and
34:28a contrite spirit. There were times when
34:31we walked with God,
34:34spoke with God, and served God,
34:38but our book went missing.
34:43And we are now choked by worries,
34:47by riches and pleasures.
34:50We are choked by pain, suffering,
34:53financial difficulties,
34:55relationship issues, spiritual warfare.
35:00rejection and disapprovals,
35:03trials and tribulations,
35:06sin, shame, guilt and frustration,
35:10oppression and depression. But may I
35:13submit to you today, brethren, that the
35:16ultimate purpose of this book is not to
35:18condemn,
35:20but the ultimate purpose of this book is
35:22to bring correction
35:24>> and a call to realignment with the word
35:27of the Lord Jesus Christ.
35:30>> The word, the Bible says, is a powerful
35:33weapon.
35:34>> The word is active. The word is alive.
35:38The word creates. The word heals. The
35:42word transform. The word provides
35:45results. The word is a refiner's fire.
35:49>> The word revives the spirit.
35:52>> The word breaks bondage. It renews the
35:55mind. It breaks bad habits. The word
35:58burn aways impurities.
36:01The word of God parted the Red Sea.
36:03Isn't that true? The word of God raised
36:05Lazarus from the dead. The word of God
36:08pull down the walls of Jericho.
36:11Oh yes. The word of God cause the deaf
36:14to hear. The word word of God bring down
36:17hills and mountains. Straighten out
36:20crooked ways, cleanses and empower. The
36:23word of God is a strong solid rock and a
36:27foundation. The word of God is a
36:30fortress. We can run into it and we can
36:34be saved today.
36:36I believe that the word of God is able
36:38to heal and to save and to deliver
36:41today.
36:41>> If you go with me to the book of Luke
36:43chapter 1 and verse 37, the word says
36:46with God all things are possible. Isn't
36:50that true?
36:51>> You travel with me to the book of
36:52Matthew chapter 19 and verse 26. It says
36:56with man it is what? impossible.
37:01But with God all things are possible. If
37:06you go in reverse with me to the book of
37:08Genesis chapter 18 and verse 14, there
37:12was a question that was asked to
37:13Abraham. Is there anything too hard for
37:17the Lord God to do? And travel with me
37:20to the book of Jeremiah chapter 32 and
37:23verse 27. The same question was asked of
37:26God. Is there anything too hard for the
37:31Lord to do? And the book of Jeremiah
37:34chapter 32 and verse 17 answer that
37:37question. It says there is nothing too
37:42hard for God to do. But even though the
37:47word says that there is nothing
37:49impossible with God, the word help us to
37:52understand there is something that is
37:55very much impossible.
38:01And I'm going to close with this.
38:04Something that is very much impossible
38:07for God to do.
38:10Journey with me to the book of Hebrews
38:12chapter 6 and verse 4.
38:16This is what it says.
38:19For it impossible for those who were
38:21once enlightened,
38:25enlightened,
38:27and have tasted of the heavenly gift,
38:30and were made partakers of the Holy
38:32Ghost, and have tasted of good word of
38:35God, and of the powers of the world to
38:39come, if they shall fall away,
38:42to renew them again unto repentance,
38:45seeing they have crucified to themselves
38:48the son of God, God aresh and had put
38:50him to an open shame.
38:55James
38:57chapter 4 even from verse 7 through8 he
39:00says submit yourself therefore to God.
39:03Resist the enemy
39:05>> and he will flee from you.
39:07>> Draw nigh unto God and he will draw nigh
39:10unto you. Cleanse your hands ye sinners
39:13and purify your hearts ye doubleminded.
39:16Let your laughter turn into mourning and
39:19your joy into heaviness of heart and the
39:23Lord shall exalt you. Return unto the
39:27Lord God Almighty through repentance.
39:30The book of Acts chapter 2 and verse 13
39:33says repent every one of you and be
39:35baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for
39:38the remission of sins and ye shall
39:41receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39:44Return unto the Lord God Almighty. Stand
39:47to your feet. Clap your hands unto the
39:49Lord and give him glory and honor and
39:51praise.
39:52Hallelujah.
39:54Hallelujah.
39:57Hallelujah.
39:59Hallelujah. Lift your hands and thank
40:01him
40:02for this opportunity that's extended to
40:04us today.
40:05>> Hallelujah. that we can come into his
40:09presence to hear that our book is
40:13missing and we have drifted away from
40:15the basic fundamental principles and
40:17tenets of the Lord and Savior Jesus
40:20Christ. We need to bow our heads and
40:23make our confession today. Have mercy
40:26upon me, oh Lord. With every head bow
40:29and every eyes closed,
40:32we need to repent today and ask the Lord
40:35to forgive us and to cleanse us from all
40:39unrighteousness.
40:41>> Hallelujah.
40:43>> Hallelujah.
40:46>> Hallelujah.
40:49Hallelujah.
40:51Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord.
40:55Come home.
