Summary
In a sermon entitled S.A.D.D., Marty Salamida exhorts believers to guard against destructive decisions by cultivating the fear of the Lord and utilizing the wisdom found within the church body. He emphasizes that God has provided the tools, through His Word and ministry, to help saints navigate life's challenges without suffering the 'needless pain' of go-it-alone choices.
Key points
- •The speaker introduces the concept of S.A.D.D. (Saints Against Destructive Decisions) as a framework for avoiding choices that are spiritually or physically harmful.
- •Believers are encouraged to rely on the 'five-fold ministry' and the multitude of counselors found within the church body to gain safety and wisdom.
- •A teachable and humble spirit is contrasted with rebellion, which the speaker defines as a lack of respect (fear) for the Lord.
- •Major life decisions regarding finances, relationships, and careers should be prioritized through prayer and biblical principles rather than fleeting emotions or external pressures.
- •The church serves as a necessary spiritual 'post office' or 'group therapy' where members receive God's direction through the Word and fellowship to reach their full potential.

Reflection questions
- What 'dogs' am I feeding the most right now - my carnal mind or my spiritual mind?
- Is there a decision I have been withholding from God because I am afraid His answer won't match my desires?
- How has staying connected to the body of Christ protected me from making a 'dumb' or 'destructive' decision in the past?
- What does it mean to have a 'teachable spirit' in the context of my current trials?

0:00>> All right.
0:00Uh, and I've been working on it and many
0:00of you know there's an organization
0:04called MAD, MAD, Mothers Against Drunk
0:07Driving.
0:09Okay. M A D mothers against drunk
0:12driving which is detrimental.
0:15Okay. Drunk driving is not the mothers.
0:21Okay.
0:24All right. Well, mine is called tonight.
0:27We're going to be going through a little
0:30discussion that I've entitled it sad. S
0:35A D
0:38saints against
0:41destructive
0:42decisions.
0:44>> We are faced every day now. Every day
0:49we're not faced with decisions we have
0:52to make that are earthshattering or
0:54world changing. You know, sometimes you
0:56may want to make say, "Hey, what are we
0:58having for breakfast this morning?" That
0:59you know, that's doesn't matter. But
1:03sometimes we're faced with decisions
1:05that we need God to make intercession
1:08for us. We're we're at we're at a place
1:12that we're very vulnerable because we
1:15we've got we we have to go from church.
1:19We are in the world more than we're in
1:21the church house. I'm talking about the
1:23house now time wise. Now, you may be in
1:26your own head, in your own space,
1:27praying diligently all the time,
1:30>> but I know that's not how it happens
1:33once it gets busy. When you get busy
1:35with work and things like that, you get
1:37caught up in you get caught up in your
1:39work and there's decisions that you have
1:42to make that are lifech changing and
1:46could be detrimental.
1:49So, we don't want any of, you know, some
1:52of us older people, a lot Well, I'm an
1:54older person.
1:56Some of us older people have a lot of
1:57scars.
1:59A lot of scars.
2:02Okay. We've been through a lot. A lot of
2:05people older people have scars. And it's
2:08things that from bad decisions. Some of
2:11them bad decisions.
2:14So, tonight we're going to go through
2:15it. And I'm going to give you saints. I
2:18I tried to get I I looked up in the in
2:21in the dictionary and uh and I was
2:25thinking about what are all the
2:27detrimental
2:29detrimental words that start with a D
2:31like destructive saints against
2:33destructive decisions. So then I went
2:36okay let's let's list some saints
2:39against deadly decisions. That's
2:42spiritually or physically.
2:45spiritually or physically. Decisions,
2:49detrimental, it's hurtful or harmful,
2:52detrimental decisions,
2:55dangerous decisions.
2:57That could be totally life-changing.
3:00That could be a life ordeath situation,
3:03deceitful. Some people make decisions on
3:06deceitfulness to be tricky or to be
3:09self-serving
3:12and and and to be deceptive.
3:14Deceitfulness is the same as being
3:16deceptive. I is to cheat or to
3:18fraudulently manipulate your situation.
3:23Disobedient
3:25saints against disobedient decisions.
3:29Wrong decision.
3:31And sometimes,
3:34well, I know when when I was younger, I
3:36thought I knew everything, but I didn't.
3:39But you know how it is where we feel
3:41invincible when we're younger. But then
3:43when you get older, you're a little bit
3:45more vulnerable, but you don't realize
3:46how vulnerable you were when you were
3:49younger because you've got all these
3:51voices on the outside saying like,
3:54"Who's got your ear? Does God have your
3:56ear? Who's got your ear? The people at
3:58work got your ear? Does your best friend
4:00have your ear? Who can influence you?
4:04Where do you get your influence from?"
4:07So, it can also be demoralizing.
4:11It'll corrupt your morals.
4:13if you go the wrong way or make the
4:15wrong decision. And then there's just
4:17plain old dumb decisions.
4:21Dumb.
4:24Saints against dumb decisions.
4:28Okay, that's foolish. We don't even want
4:30to be classified there. That's out of
4:32out of our range. I told you we have a
4:35step up.
4:37We have we have a forerunner
4:41that went before us and made a way that
4:45we
4:47could go the same way. And that's all we
4:50have to do is keep that mindful. If we I
4:53it just if we can keep that mindset
4:55despiteful.
4:57People do do things make decisions for
5:00being despiteful, envious, selfish,
5:04insulting contempt malice.
5:07And then there's devastating ones that
5:10totally wipe you out that you could lose
5:13everything.
5:16And then
5:19not able to function is to be disabled.
5:23Saints against disabling
5:26decisions. That means that they got you
5:29so cornered and tied up that you cannot
5:31do anything for God, for your family,
5:36for everything. It it it's just
5:39disabling. You're you're immobilized.
5:41You're no good for anybody physically,
5:43spiritually,
5:45and and that's where we have to keep
5:47that up. And like I started, I told I
5:50said at the beginning, we have a step
5:52up. We have the tools to be overcomers.
5:58Okay?
5:59Jesus is the way, the truth, and the
6:04life. That's all we got to remember.
6:07If we can walk in that way, truth, and
6:12life,
6:14we won't miss it. We will not miss it.
6:18Okay. Destructive. tending to or likely
6:21to cause destruction. Causing or
6:24producing destruction to destroy. That's
6:27destructive decisions. They destroy.
6:30Destruction. The act or
6:34or process of destroying, demolition or
6:37slaughter. The fact or state of being
6:40destroyed. To be destroyed. To tear
6:42down, to demolish, to break up or to
6:46spoil completely. Ruin it.
6:49to be crushed, to put an end to, done,
6:54to do away with, to kill, to make
6:57useless. That's what the devil wants us
6:59to be in the church. Useless,
7:03not able to function, not able to
7:06fellowship.
7:08You know, we're not we're not ignorant
7:11of his discip of his devices. The Bible
7:14says of the devil. The devil is our
7:17adversary. Okay? And and the Bible says
7:21we're not ignorant of his devices. One
7:23of his biggest devices is to separate
7:26people. It's just like like when you see
7:29on uh uh any open range or anywhere in
7:32Africa or something, what what they'll
7:35do, the prey, if it were a lion pack or
7:37whoever's hunting will separate one from
7:41the crowd and take them on their own and
7:45and pray on them.
7:48And that's what the devil is. The
7:50biggest thing in church is to get you
7:52separated.
7:54>> Is to get you separated and cut off from
7:57the body and from the fellowship.
8:00>> Okay? You're not
8:04you're not going to have a step up
8:05staying home. That's why church is
8:08necessary especially in this hour.
8:11>> It you know the Bible says as so much
8:14the more as you see the day approaching
8:17>> so much more. Get together. There's
8:20something that happens when you're with
8:21God's people.
8:23>> It doesn't happen at work.
8:25>> That's right.
8:25>> You know, it doesn't happen at work. All
8:27right. Uh we're I'm going to read a few
8:29scriptures and I just give give you some
8:31kind of a uh uh a foundation that we can
8:36work on. Um I I do have something to say
8:39about decisions again and I want to I I
8:42just don't want it to be like in our
8:45physical I want it to be spiritual also
8:47decisions there's financial decisions
8:51buying selling
8:53there's locationational decisions where
8:56you want to live
8:58where you want to be where you want to
9:00work
9:01there's job decisions where do you want
9:03to work what do you want to do what do
9:06you want to do in the rest of your life
9:07for young people.
9:09And then there's family decisions that
9:11men and mothers and fathers have to make
9:15decisions because their children are
9:17younger. And those decisions are very
9:19important because they're going to help
9:21shape, make or break the child. So it's
9:25very important.
9:27And then there's educational
9:30educational decisions that you can make,
9:33what you want to be, what you want to
9:34learn. uh you know to better yourself if
9:38you need to uh for doing your job or or
9:42some other craft or whatever you got to
9:44do. And then there's relationships. Now
9:48that that goes from relationships goes
9:51from when you're a a child in the toy
9:55box. You know what are you going to do?
9:57Get mad and hit everybody with your toys
9:58and go home.
10:00you know that that it starts with little
10:03attitudes, relationships. Then there's
10:06another relationship when you start
10:07going to school.
10:10You know that and then there's
10:12relationships when uh when you have to
10:15get married or you don't have to get
10:17married but when you want to get
10:19married, let's put it that way. Okay?
10:21When you elect to get married,
10:25okay? And you got to be real careful
10:27there too. You want the right person
10:29that God has for you. And I believe God
10:32has a person for everybody.
10:34>> I've seen some weird outlooks, but you
10:36know, it worked out. It's working out.
10:42You know, so God's got somebody for
10:44everybody. But anyhow, that's how
10:46important these decisions are. Okay? And
10:50if we could go to God, I mean, you know,
10:54they make so many different cars. That's
10:56why they got all these colors in cars
10:58because everybody's got a different
10:59taste. You get to pick out what car.
11:01That's not a life changing decision. You
11:04know, color your car, what kind of shirt
11:08you're going to wear today or whatever,
11:10you know, things like that. But I'm
11:12talking about real decisions that have
11:14to be thought about that do affect other
11:17people around you because sometimes you
11:19think you're the lone ranger and you're
11:21the only one going through that, but
11:24you're not.
11:25You're not. People face it every day.
11:29There's decisions, financial decisions,
11:32different decisions. Every day you've
11:34got decisions. Sometimes they carry more
11:38weight. And then the Bible says a double
11:41mind man is unstable in all his ways.
11:45>> All his ways. So you can't be
11:47doubleminded. You got to make up, you
11:49know, you're juggling and you've got to
11:51make your mind up. Hey, am I going this
11:54way or am I going that way? Do I want to
11:58be God's child or do I want to just hit
12:02the road?
12:03>> Okay. And that's exactly what be doing
12:06is hitting the road. You know, you'll be
12:09bumping and you'll be bouncing around.
12:11That's all you do really. What have you
12:13achieved now? If if you're out there and
12:17and you're you're just being tossed to
12:20and fro and by every wind of doctrine
12:23that comes around, if you're
12:24double-minded, everything comes around,
12:26it pushes you this way like a sailboat
12:28pushes you that way or something
12:30floating and and it you're wasting time.
12:34>> You're wasting good years of your life.
12:39That's why
12:41you have to make sound biblical
12:45goddirected
12:48decisions.
12:49>> They used to back in the old time do
12:51fleeces. Have you all heard of fleeces?
12:54>> Okay.
12:55>> What they did is to get God's answer. I
12:58don't I don't uh you know I when I got
13:01into church I I was uh told not to
13:03really do that because sometimes they
13:05don't work. Okay. because sometimes you
13:07can read more into them than there is.
13:09What happened is that the the prophet
13:11went out there and he said, "Okay, I'm
13:12going to do a fleece. God, I'm going to
13:14put this skin on here on the ground and
13:16here's the ground." Now, if you make the
13:19ground wet
13:21and the flea, that's why they call it
13:23fleece because it was like a skin. So,
13:26uh, make the ground wet, but keep the
13:29fleece dry.
13:33I'll I'll take it at you. And then he
13:36goes, just to be double sure, he says,
13:38"Okay, let's opposite it. Let's make the
13:41fleece wet and the ground dry."
13:45>> Okay? And it happened.
13:47>> But I don't I don't you know, I don't
13:51think you want to roll the dice on that
13:53one because that could you could use it
13:55for your own interpretation.
13:58And you know the Bible says that uh you
14:01have not because you ask not and because
14:03what when you do ask you ask a miss
14:07because you want to consume it upon
14:09yourself. It's selfishness.
14:11So felises you can tend to like oh yeah
14:14I read that into that you know you can
14:17pretty much see what you want to see and
14:19and and it's out there for everybody.
14:22You know you have that choice but God
14:25has given you the tools. He doesn't send
14:27us into the world unequipped. If God's
14:31got a certain job for you, he's going to
14:33equip you for it.
14:35>> He's going to give you what you need to
14:37do the [music] job. Do it right
14:40[applause]
14:40>> and in God's will. Not fraudulently, not
14:45cheating, but righteously.
14:49Okay, go ahead. Uh I I'm talking too
14:52much.
14:53>> Okay, go ahead. read that uh first one
14:55in Hosea. Now, this is I'm going to
14:58start from the beginning and I know
15:00you've heard a lot of this before, but
15:02this is just to remind us tonight, okay?
15:05What we have what we have access to I
15:08don't think we realize it. I don't think
15:10we do, you know, um they're talking
15:12about your brain, using the full
15:14potential of your brain. But do we use
15:17the full potential of the spirit of God
15:19that we have? Wow.
15:21>> Are we using that potential that God has
15:24given to us?
15:26>> Now to every man is given a measure of
15:27faith.
15:29>> Every man.
15:30>> So you can't say you're faithless.
15:32>> Okay. So somewhere you must believe when
15:36you come to God, you must believe first
15:38of all that he is
15:40>> and then that he is a rewarder of those
15:42that diligently seek him.
15:44>> I agree with that. He is a rewarder of
15:48you. When you seek him, he will answer
15:52>> if he sometimes you have to pray and
15:54fast about it. Sometimes could be a hard
15:57decision. It might be a really
15:58earthshattering decision, but God will
16:02he he's got the church designed to kind
16:06of like, you know, I hate to say this,
16:08but uh you know, I I used to have these
16:11Dunkin Donut friends that every every
16:14morning we'd go to Dunkin Donut and meet
16:17and it was like group therapy,
16:19>> you know, everybody all the guys just
16:21talking before work, you know, and stuff
16:23like that. But church has designed the
16:26God has designed the church
16:29>> that everything you need
16:31>> necessary for this life
16:34>> and to live the best life you can on
16:36this earth
16:38>> comes through the church and the body of
16:40Christ.
16:42>> It's not going to change. That's the way
16:44it's set up.
16:46>> And it's not going to change. You're not
16:47going to get it from everywhere else.
16:49You can you could be chasing money down
16:51the street the rest of your life. You
16:53could be chasing a new car. You could be
16:55chasing whatever your dreams are. You
16:57could be chasing it for the rest of your
16:59life until you stop and put it in God's
17:01hand
17:03>> and say, "God,
17:06I give up. I can't do it myself. Your
17:08ways are above my ways. Your thoughts
17:11are not my thoughts. I need your
17:13thoughts." Okay, I I'm
17:17Go ahead. Read that. Hosea 4 and6.
17:23My people are destroyed for lack of
17:25knowledge. Because thou hast rejected
17:27knowledge, I will also reject thee, that
17:30thou shalt be no priest to me. Seeing
17:33thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,
17:35I will also forget thy children.
17:37>> Thank you.
17:39From lack of knowledge, God gives us the
17:42knowledge.
17:43There shouldn't be any of us that lack
17:46knowledge unless we just refuse to hear
17:50it.
17:52Now, that's possible. You know, the
17:54answer could be right here in your face
17:56and you and you won't and and you don't
17:58accept it
18:00because you don't want to hear that. You
18:03want it to go another way. But we can't
18:05see down the road. God sees down the
18:08road.
18:09>> You know, he knows. He's got, you know,
18:11that he says, "The plans I have for you,
18:15>> they're the best."
18:17If we can accept that and understand
18:19that, we don't have to beat our heads
18:21against the wall all the time when we're
18:24in trouble.
18:27>> Okay. Um, now, you know, in the mouth of
18:30two or three witnesses, every word's
18:32established. So, I'm just going to show
18:33you what this is. And where do we start
18:36getting knowledge? The fear of the Lord.
18:40Okay, that's the first thing. Go ahead.
18:43Psalms 111 and 10.
18:47The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
18:49wisdom. A good understanding have all
18:52they that do his commandments. His
18:54praise endureth forever.
18:56>> Okay. Proverbs 1 and7. They basically
18:59all say the same thing. The fear of the
19:02Lord.
19:02>> Go ahead.
19:03>> The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
19:05knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and
19:08instruction.
19:09>> Proverbs 9:10.
19:13The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
19:15wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is
19:17understanding.
19:20The
19:20>> fear of the Lord is an open door for us.
19:23Now, it's not fear in in such a sense as
19:26you're going to like, you know, you're
19:31shell shocked to where you have to be
19:33afraid of God.
19:36It's respect is what it is.
19:39It's respect and putting him first.
19:42That's what he wants us to do. He wants
19:44us to rely on him. If we say we're
19:46people of God, let's be people of God.
19:48If we're not, let's get out.
19:50>> You know, I mean, if we're going to be
19:53in church, let's be in church.
19:55>> Don't mess around.
19:56>> You know, finally, I had to make that
19:58decision. Hey, is it going to be my
20:00friends or is it going to be church?
20:02>> You got to make that decision. It's one
20:05way or another. You can't have the best
20:08of both worlds, you know. Can't have
20:09your cake and eat it too. I like cake. I
20:11like to eat it, too. But, you know,
20:15you can't have both worlds. You've got
20:19to come to that decision. It's got to
20:21come together. And it has to be a
20:24decision based on your fear of the Lord.
20:26Not that you're afraid that he's going
20:28to strike you down and kill you, but
20:30respect for him. Respect.
20:35Okay.
20:38All right. Now, life decisions. Matthew
20:417
20:437 uh 13 and 14.
20:48Enter ye in at the straight gate. For
20:52wide is the gates, and broad is the way
20:54that leadth to destruction, and many
20:57there be which to go in uh there it
21:00>> Okay, straight is a gate, narrow is the
21:03way. You know, sometimes we think, "Oh,
21:06we have to give this up. We have to do
21:08that. We have to do that." Listen, you
21:09don't give anything up.
21:11>> Let me tell you this.
21:13>> You do not give anything up that was
21:15worth keeping that God doesn't give you
21:18better.
21:19I'm telling you. [applause] I'm telling
21:21you. He gives it to you better than you
21:25could have ever done it yourself.
21:28>> Ever.
21:29>> Uh I don't know why I'm getting off on
21:31this. You know where my mind just went
21:33to? Ties.
21:35>> How does ties got to do with this?
21:38>> But I'm going to talk about tithe right
21:40now because it did hit my head.
21:42>> Boom. Ties.
21:46If you if you haven't bought in to
21:48giving tithes yet, and I don't know
21:50who's here. I don't check ties. I don't
21:52have anything to do with it. You can ask
21:54Brother Elms. He doesn't tell me what to
21:55say. He doesn't do that. I don't, you
21:58know, I just know that God's ways work.
22:03>> They work.
22:04>> When I didn't have anything.
22:07>> When I got married and came into church,
22:09I didn't have anything. Not even a job.
22:14I had dropped out.
22:16Some of you don't know what that means,
22:17but when you're a hippie, you know what
22:19I mean. Some of you dropped out. I
22:21dropped out. Okay. No job, no nothing.
22:26got married. Thank God my wife was
22:29working. We got we bought a house on her
22:32credit [laughter]
22:35and uh but we didn't have anything. We
22:38didn't have much. People gave us
22:40furniture. We had a little one of these
22:42little couches that goes like this, you
22:43know, it goes like that and that and
22:45that's all you get to sleep on, the back
22:47and the front.
22:48>> And that's all the bed we had. But
22:50people gave us We made it. We're, you
22:52know, we we were
22:55brand new in the Lord and everything was
22:58okay. We're better off than we were.
23:00>> God delivered us.
23:02>> He took us out of that lifestyle.
23:05>> He healed our minds.
23:08>> And and it we were just living that way.
23:11So he he uh
23:15he will
23:16give it to you, but straight is a gate.
23:19And I let me get back on with the
23:21tithes. Please, if you don't and you
23:25haven't bought into the tithing,
23:29I'm going to say not doctrine, but God's
23:33plan.
23:35Tithing, God's plan. Do it. Do it.
23:39Please. I'm begging you.
23:42Make that decision and make that one
23:44good decision because that will change
23:46your financial status and God will
23:50provide for you. And I know it. Hey,
23:54listen. I I we didn't have anything.
23:58>> And you could ask my wife. We didn't
24:00have anything.
24:02And [snorts]
24:03God just miraculously, I don't know why,
24:06but he did it. He had his mercy on us
24:09and and God bless us because we bought
24:13into it soon as we got saved. We didn't
24:15we didn't even think about not doing it.
24:18What do we got to do to be saved? Just
24:20like the guys asked Peter, what do we
24:22got to do?
24:24That's one of them. So, we did it. And
24:27it works. It works. It works. It works.
24:32>> I don't care what comes against you. I
24:34don't care. You know, some people I've
24:36heard people say, "Oh, I can't pay tithe
24:38this week. I got to borrow my tithe.
24:39paid this bill. You can't do that.
24:43>> Tithes are tithes.
24:45>> Okay? Don't mix them up.
24:48>> You know, you will be able to do
24:52I don't know how much you tithe. Some
24:53people most people tithe the 10% or a
24:57lot of people some people may do more.
24:59Some people do offerings some people,
25:01you know, where uh God said, "You robbed
25:03me in tithe and offering." So, it's
25:05both. But uh and offerings not only are
25:09not only monetarily
25:12>> they could be your work working in the
25:15church or helping somebody or doing
25:17something like that. You're offering
25:19you're offering yourself
25:21>> to be min to be a used for God.
25:27I'm talking too much. Anyhow,
25:31buy into it. Tithe. Mark it down right
25:34now. If you haven't paid tithe, start.
25:36And I guarantee, you know, like the guy
25:38in Louisiana said, I guarantee it.
25:42>> The guy from Louisiana,
25:45>> I guarantee it. It will work
25:48>> and it will make you better, better,
25:51better.
25:53>> Okay.
25:55Luke, straight. Well, straight as a
25:58gate, narrow the way. Few there be that
26:01find it. We found it. I'm telling you
26:04right now, if you stay in church and
26:09stay under the hand of God and stay
26:11humble, be able and and keep a teachable
26:15spirit.
26:17>> That's really important. A teachable
26:19spirit.
26:20>> That's a humble spirit. That's one say,
26:22"Oh, I don't know that. Show me how to
26:24do that or do this." You know, a
26:28teachable spirit. Keep that and God will
26:33provide. Okay. Luke 9 and 56.
26:38>> For the son of man is not come to
26:41destroy men's lives but to save them.
26:44And they went to another village.
26:47>> Okay. He hasn't come to destroy us.
26:49That's not it. That's not his plan to
26:51destroy us. His plan has always been to
26:56save us
26:58>> and to bring life and that you'll have
27:01it more abundantly. And I'm talking
27:03about abundantly where you'll be able to
27:04help other people
27:06>> and not worry about it. You'll be able
27:09to loan and not have to get it back if
27:13you want to put it financially like
27:15that. But even in your works and what
27:17you do in your in your uh in your uh
27:21what you can do your gifts that God has
27:23given you. Every man is has has got a
27:27gift your own personalities.
27:29What you can do good what you do do good
27:33>> and God will work with it.
27:36>> He hasn't come to destroy us. You got to
27:38understand that he's a good father.
27:41>> Is a good father.
27:44>> Okay. We're talking about the adversary.
27:46I talked about him a little while ago.
27:47He's the destroyer. He's come to seek,
27:51to kill,
27:53and to destroy. He don't want you
27:55around. He wants you out of the picture.
27:59Out. Gone.
28:02Null. Destroyed.
28:05Useless.
28:07Can't do nothing when you're useless.
28:09>> That's right.
28:10>> Okay. 1 Peter 5 5-8.
28:15>> Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves
28:18unto the elder. Yay, all of you be
28:21subject one to another, and be clothed
28:23with humility. For God resisteth the
28:25proud, and give grace to the to the
28:28humble.
28:31>> We are not ignorant of his devices. He
28:34comes to steal, to kill, and destroy.
28:37That's why you've gota, you know, some
28:39people get
28:43They uh get tunnel vision, you know, and
28:47you could when you have tunnel vision,
28:50it's good if it's on God.
28:51>> That's right.
28:52>> You get tunnel vision because if the eye
28:54be single, the whole body will be full
28:55of light.
28:57>> That's tunnel vision for God. But if you
28:59get tunnel vision fixated on something
29:01you want to happen or you want it so bad
29:04that you make it happen, whether it you
29:07know, you want it so bad But it may not
29:11be the right thing at the right time.
29:13Could be the right thing at the wrong
29:15time,
29:17>> but you want God's perfect will. You
29:21know, some people think there's a God's
29:25three God's wills. You know, the perfect
29:28God will of God, the acceptable will of
29:30God permissible.
29:32They think there's different wills.
29:34There's only one will of God.
29:37It's not God's will that any perish
29:40>> but all come to repentance. God's will.
29:43There's only one will of God for you in
29:45your life. And the sooner you start fun
29:49getting in that what I say getting on
29:52that road straight is the gate. Getting
29:54into that road and don't look to the
29:57side.
29:58>> That's right.
29:59>> Get fixated on the prize. The prize is
30:02everlasting life. We have right now in
30:05us everlasting life.
30:08>> The Bible says the kingdom of God is not
30:10meat and drink, but righteousness,
30:12peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. We
30:15have that in us now.
30:17>> So, we in essence have everlasting life.
30:20We've got to keep it going. We've got to
30:22feed it.
30:24>> We've got to feed it.
30:29All right. or adversary. Bad decisions
30:33lead to spiritual decline.
30:35I've seen it happen too many times. I've
30:38done it myself.
30:40Make a wrong decision and and you're
30:43swimming against the tide and you got to
30:45try to catch up again. It's hard.
30:50>> Okay. Good decisions lead to life
30:54and fellowship with the Lord.
31:02God
31:04God's given one of the uh tools that God
31:08give given us for our toolbox is a
31:11five-fold ministry.
31:13Okay. The five-fold ministry, teachers,
31:16pastors evangelists
31:19prophets, what somebody can name them.
31:23Anyhow, the five-fold ministry is here
31:28to help direct the church into the
31:32straight and narrow.
31:34That's what and it's also the Bible says
31:37in the multitude of counselors
31:39there's safety.
31:42So, if you've got spiritual like-minded
31:44people and that's where you're getting
31:47your who's got your ear is the pulpit
31:51or or the word of God,
31:54then you're moving in the right
31:55direction. But when you start taking in
31:59too many different outside opinions like
32:02you're taking a poll or a vote, you
32:05can't do that. God has got to be
32:09prioritized.
32:11It's got to be that way.
32:14The devil wants you separated from the
32:17church. Remember that. He doesn't want
32:19you here.
32:21Because here this place and if if
32:26development
32:27in church works like it supposed to and
32:32you let it work within you and you're
32:34humble and teachable,
32:36you will be able
32:40to go and help other people.
32:43>> Once you've been helped, you can help
32:46other people.
32:48Now, if if somebody comes up to me and
32:51says, "Hey, can I borrow $50?" And God
32:54hasn't given me the $50, I can't do it.
32:59But if God's given me the $50, it's
33:01yours.
33:04You know, you know what? This another
33:06funny thing. Listen to this.
33:09God gives us the money to tithe with.
33:15He gives us the money to give offerings
33:17with.
33:20>> He provides for us for all of that. He's
33:22taking care of it. We've got to
33:24understand that. We've got to understand
33:27that and get rooted and it's got to set
33:29like concrete in your head like tunnel
33:32vision.
33:33Okay.
33:35So, the five-fold ministry is there to
33:37help us and to lead us and to guide us.
33:41Comes through the pulpit. It will come
33:42through the word of God. It'll come
33:45through the ministering. Something that
33:47you're going through will come up and
33:49God will give you an answer as this
33:51preaching or teaching or ministering is
33:54going on. Even a song, you can get a
33:57revelation even while people are singing
34:00and and all these things.
34:02It's the spirit of God working with you.
34:06>> Okay. One thing is do not make
34:12major decisions
34:16that are important, really important.
34:18Color your car is different. You know,
34:20that's your preference.
34:22>> But if you're mad,
34:24don't make a decision that. But
34:27sometimes you can make, you know, cut
34:29off, spike your whatever it is, cut your
34:32nose off, spite your face or whatever.
34:35And or if you're having a hard trial,
34:40wait until you get some relief from God
34:44to make that decision because you don't
34:46want to be doubleminded at that time
34:49you're fighting and you're in engulfed
34:51in whatever you're going through
34:54or if you're trapped in your own head or
34:56whatever the situation if it's an
34:58outside source. You know, the Bible says
35:00if a man's ways please the Lord that
35:04he'd make even his enemies
35:06to be at peace with him.
35:09Okay.
35:11So if our ways please the Lord, our
35:13enemies are going to be at peace with
35:15us. We don't have to fight. We don't
35:18have to. God's got it taken care of. I'm
35:20telling you, it's all here in the
35:23church, in the body of Christ. It's all
35:26available to you.
35:28>> It's just we have to make it and work.
35:31like the people that said we only use so
35:33much of our little brain here or I
35:35forgot how much. But anyhow, we've got
35:38to walk into our fuller or fullest
35:42potential in God.
35:45We've got to
35:48>> Okay. Don't make decisions
35:51based on your emotions.
35:53>> Emotions are very deceiving sometimes.
35:57Somebody could have strong emotions and
35:59could be strongly wrong.
36:02>> I'm telling you, you get in trouble.
36:05>> Okay?
36:07And do not make decisions in response
36:11to a confrontation that somebody comes
36:14up to you, sneaks up at you, and hit you
36:16on the blind side like a sucker punch.
36:20Don't make decisions that way because
36:22you're you're you're actually that
36:25person has
36:28antagonized you and you can't make
36:30decisions.
36:32>> Keep your mouth shut. Keep your mouth
36:35shut.
36:37No retribution. Don't have to get back
36:39at them. Seal around. Thank you very
36:42much.
36:43>> You know. Yep.
36:46There's two things going on there
36:49because we have a spiritual mind and we
36:50have a carnal mind. We have both.
36:53Okay. Now, you know,
36:57I know you've heard this before. You
36:58know, you got two dogs in a fight. Which
37:00dogs? They're both big as they can be.
37:03They're both massive. They're both
37:05strong. Which dog's going to win the
37:07fight?
37:09It's the one you feed.
37:12So, we've got a natural
37:15And we've got a spiritual. Now, which
37:18dog's going to win the fight? Which one
37:20are you going to feed?
37:22Okay. You want your dog to win in the
37:25fight, you speed, you do the spiritual.
37:29Feed the spiritual as much as you can.
37:33We are only here, like I said, in church
37:36what, two, four, six hours the most a
37:39week. Eight if you push it.
37:42>> I I'd like to go to the coffee shop.
37:46>> But anyhow, eight if you push it, but
37:50look how many we're with other people.
37:52We're around other people that influence
37:55our life. We have to work with these
37:57people. We have to get along with them.
38:00We have to go to the bank. We have to do
38:02our business here. We have to go here to
38:04the grocery store. Boom. Somebody hit
38:06you with a grocery basket. Hey, watch
38:08out. You know, you got to be careful.
38:12You got to be careful. It can happen
38:13anytime. You get blindsided. You get
38:16blindsided.
38:18All right. So, which dogs going to win
38:21the fight? The one you feed the most.
38:25Spiritual.
38:28All right. Helps. And and this is what
38:31what I said before is the multitude of
38:33counselors there's safety and and
38:37sometimes you know there's you feel like
38:40there's some things you can't tell
38:41anybody
38:43and uh
38:45which is fine sometimes if you want to
38:47keep it to yourself and sometimes it's
38:49better to keep it to yourself you know
38:52but uh uh but sometimes you do need
38:59uh spiritual guidance and that comes
39:03through like I said the Bible ministry
39:05fellowship with the saints of God.
39:09You don't understand what fellowship how
39:11important it is.
39:14>> It's likeminded people being together.
39:18You know, it's likeminded people believe
39:21in the same things are trying to attain
39:24to the same uh end result. I it it it's
39:29so important to be to have fellowship
39:32because you can't make it out there on
39:33your own. I already know I can.
39:36>> I can't. I'd be eating up out there. Oh,
39:39they'd have a
39:42they'd tear me up. But anyhow, Proverbs
39:4524:6,
39:50>> for by wise counsel thou shalt make thy
39:53war, and in the multitude of counselors
39:57there is safety. Okay. Sometimes you
39:59need
40:02to be in the midst of counselors to get
40:06other opinions to look at a different
40:09perspectives.
40:10But
40:12they've all got to line up right here.
40:17Anything that's unrighteous or
40:19deceitful, it's not going to work. They
40:22have to line up with the scriptures.
40:26Okay. Isaiah um 9 and6. Now this is the
40:31purpose. Unto us a child is born. This
40:34is the purpose. This is why we have
40:37Jesus Christ in us
40:41in earth in earth and vessels
40:46to lead us and to guide us into all
40:48truth and righteousness for his name's
40:50sake.
40:52Isaiah 9 and6.
40:53>> For unto us a child is born.
40:55>> Look at that. Have you ever heard that
40:57before? I've heard it a lot of times. Go
40:59ahead.
41:00>> Unto us a son is given, and the
41:03government shall be upon his shoulder.
41:05>> Everything.
41:07>> Go ahead.
41:07>> And his name shall be called Wonderful
41:10Counselor, the Mighty God, the
41:12Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
41:15>> Amen. That's the reason he came. Jesus
41:19was born for this day, for us.
41:24And that's what it's all about.
41:26Now uh
41:29I was going to say in in the uh
41:33in the counseling part, you know,
41:36sometimes
41:38you don't have to say anything to
41:39anybody
41:41about what you're truly, you know, if
41:43you don't want to reveal your feelings
41:45or reveal whatever you're thinking or
41:47whatever. Uh, and but God knows,
41:51>> you know, the word of God is quicker and
41:53sharper than any two-edged sword. It
41:57pierces, it divides the sun under the
41:58mouth from the bone. And it is a
42:00discerner. A discerner.
42:04It understands it. It It a discerner of
42:08your thoughts, your heart.
42:12Sometimes you don't have to say anything
42:13to anybody. It'll come through the
42:15ministry and they won't even have to
42:17talk to you. God will reveal it to you.
42:21That's why it's important for you to
42:23come and pick up your mail.
42:26>> This is the post office. Pick up your
42:29mail.
42:31It's for us and it'll make our life and
42:36our our dealings with people here so
42:39much easier.
42:41You know, if we get up and we fight, you
42:43know, I had a friend, good friend, good
42:46guy, super guy, but he would fight
42:49himself all the time.
42:51>> He was his own worst enemy.
42:55He would huff and puff and
42:59can't do that. You're your own worst
43:01enemy when you'd like that. That's why
43:04it's important to come to church, pick
43:06up your mail, get your mail on time. You
43:09know, you don't want to know that you
43:11got a bill three months ago and now you
43:13have to pay interest on it.
43:15>> Okay? Pick it up when it's ready. That's
43:17why you need to be in church. People
43:19don't understand that. Oh, you're making
43:21me go to church. You got No, this is
43:23where we come together.
43:27I hate to say this, but it's like my
43:29Dunkin Donut group. Group therapy.
43:32>> It's group therapy.
43:35>> Hey, this is my crutch. If you want to
43:37call it a crutch, I got it.
43:39>> This is my crutch. I'll admit that.
43:42[applause]
43:43Everything else I found out there won't
43:45hold up.
43:46>> Won't hold up. This crutch will work.
43:50>> All right. Where was I?
43:54Benefits. Psalms 19.
43:57No, wait, wait. I'm sorry. Proverbs 3
43:59and six.
44:04>> Is this all?
44:05>> Go ahead. I'm sorry.
44:07>> In all thy ways acknowledge him and he
44:10shall direct thy paths.
44:13>> That's simple.
44:15You just got to acknowledge him. Take
44:18time.
44:21People that don't take time and do it
44:23don't want to hear the answer. Sorry to
44:25say that. They don't want They'll say,
44:27"Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I want God's
44:28will. I want God's will." But they don't
44:30hear the answer. And the answer's there.
44:34God will give you the answer.
44:36But please be open to the answer and
44:41know that it's God's will.
44:43Okay?
44:45It'll give you direction. It'll give you
44:47stability in this life. It'll give you
44:50an anchor of the soul that's both sure
44:54and steadfast. You'll be unmovable.
44:58Nobody can come and put doubt in your
45:00mind or say, "Oh, I don't know about
45:03this. I don't know about that. Yeah.
45:05Well, we know.
45:07>> Why? Because it's here.
45:09>> This is what we're being taught.
45:11Righteousness exaltth the nation, but
45:14sin is a reproach to any land.
45:18>> So, righteousness, if we'll go after
45:20righteousness, it exaltth the nation.
45:24We've got to step up.
45:27>> Amen.
45:29>> We've got to step up on everybody. Young
45:31people, you've got to step up. all your
45:33decisions, decisions you've got to make
45:35about your job, your family, where you
45:37want to live, where you want to go, what
45:38you want to do, put it in God's hands
45:41and trust them. See, see, we want to
45:43like here, here, God. Oh, wait. Let me
45:46let me take that back for a little bit.
45:48You know, here, here, God, can you work
45:50this out? Yeah. Let me let me,
45:52>> you know, we get involved with our
45:55feelings and with our wants. We ask a
45:58miss
46:00>> because we get selfish.
46:03We're we get in survival mode,
46:07you know, like, oh, I got to do
46:08something. No, you don't have to. God
46:10will help, you know. Okay.
46:15Benefits.
46:18Psalms 19 7-14.
46:22>> The law of the Lord is perfect,
46:25converting the soul. The testimony of
46:27the Lord is sure, making wise the
46:30simple.
46:31The statutes of the Lord are right,
46:34rejoicing the heart. The commandment of
46:36the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
46:39The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring
46:41forever. The judgments of the Lord are
46:44true and righteous altogether. More to
46:47be desired are they than gold, yay, than
46:50much fine gold, sweeter also than honey
46:53and the honeycomb.
46:55Moreover, by them is thy servant warned,
46:58and in keeping of them there is great
47:00reward.
47:02>> Okay?
47:04>> Better than gold, silver,
47:07>> right?
47:08>> Better way better. You will have I I
47:13don't know how to get it over, but
47:15everything we have need of is in the
47:17church and supply. The the the body
47:21supply
47:23each each part supply that which each
47:26other one needs.
47:28>> So it all works together.
47:31>> That's right.
47:31>> And and the Bible says, you know, all
47:34things work together for good to them
47:36that that love God and are called
47:37according to his purpose. And if you're
47:39here tonight, you're called according to
47:41his purpose.
47:42>> I don't care who you are. If you are
47:45here tonight, you are called.
47:49No doubts. No doubts.
47:52What are you going to do with it?
47:55>> Who you going to listen to?
47:57>> What dog are you going to feed?
48:00>> Okay.
48:03Spirits of help. Isaiah 11
48:07and two.
48:10And the spirit of the Lord shall rest
48:12upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
48:14understanding, the spirit of counsel and
48:17might, the spirit of knowledge and of
48:19the fear of the Lord.
48:21Okay, that's what we have access to
48:28what what was just read. Do it again,
48:30please.
48:3411 and two.
48:37>> And the spirit of the Lord shall rest
48:39upon you, the spirit of wisdom and
48:41understanding, the spirit of counsel and
48:43might, the spirit of knowledge and of
48:45the fear of the Lord.
48:47>> That's what we have access to through
48:49his spirit.
48:51We have access to everything we have
48:53need of. I can't drive that home enough
48:56tonight. We have everything we need. You
49:00want to bake a cake. If you're missing
49:03one ingredient, it won't come out the
49:05same. We have all the ingredients.
49:09We've got to just listen and be pliable
49:12in God's hands. And I hope I am. but to
49:17be molded and shaped to what God wants
49:19us to be. We all, like I said, have
49:22different personalities. We all have
49:24different callings. We all have
49:26different stations in life. We all have
49:28different people we deal with all the
49:30time. And and and you know, our home
49:34situation, I don't know what your home
49:35situation is, but whatever it is, God
49:38can take care of it. God can take care
49:40of it.
49:42Okay. Now, here we go. This is the
49:45five-fold ministry. Go ahead. Ephesians
49:474 11-29.
49:50>> And he gave some apostles and some
49:52prophets.
49:53>> These are for our help when when when
49:56churches when we're having church
49:59and God comes together and we're made to
50:02sit together in heavenly places. We're
50:04elevated into the spirit of God. And
50:07when the spirit of God is moving, this
50:09is where it's going to come from. your
50:12answers from God. Sometimes, like I
50:16said, you don't have to make a
50:18confession or tell anybody your
50:21problems. It will come over the pulpit.
50:26It will.
50:28If you're praying and you're steadfast
50:30and you're serious and you want to hear
50:33the answer, it'll come. Go ahead.
50:36Fivefold. Ephesians 4:11-29.
50:40And he gave some apostles and some
50:42prophets and some evangelists and some
50:44pastors and teachers for the perfecting
50:47of the saints.
50:48>> For the perfecting of the saints
50:50>> for the work of the ministry
50:52>> for the work of the ministry
50:54>> for the edifying of the body of Christ.
50:56>> for the edifying of the body of Christ.
50:59Pray that you might excel to the
51:02edifying of the body of Christ. That's
51:04what Paul said. Excel to the edifying.
51:08That's fellowship.
51:10That's fellowship one with another.
51:13That's coming together, worshiping
51:15together, like-minded people, group
51:19therapy.
51:21But I'm, you know,
51:24but I thank God for what he's done.
51:27>> Okay. Five-fold ministry, very
51:29important. Your answers will come that
51:31way. If you don't want to hear it
51:33directly, like you come up to me and
51:36say, "Hey, uh, what's the weather going
51:37to be?" Oh, it's 70. If you don't want
51:39to hear that, you know, direct from me,
51:42God will tell you through the ministry.
51:45You won't have to hear it from somebody
51:47else that knows your situation.
51:50>> It may come from somebody that doesn't
51:52even know you
51:54>> and and and drops a word in there and
51:56says, "And then you pick up on it and
51:59you go, "Oh, that's what I'm you know,
52:01that's right. That makes sense now. I
52:04see it from a different way now." You
52:07know, sometimes our ways aren't the
52:09right ways.
52:11>> You know, most of the times they're not.
52:13God's way is right.
52:15>> Okay.
52:17People purposely do not use God, God's
52:20counsel or the pastor because they
52:24really do not want to hear if the answer
52:27is not what they want.
52:29As simple as that. That means no
52:33respect. You're not respecting God.
52:35That's not the fear of the Lord. The
52:38fear of the Lord would take that into
52:39consideration and say, "Is this God? I
52:43need to find out."
52:45You know, not just happen stance.
52:48This is d a direct word. Your situation,
52:53what you're going through, the battles
52:55you're going through. Rebellion
53:00is as the sin of witchcraft.
53:03Rebellion is total disrespect
53:08and the fear of the Lord is total
53:10respect.
53:13Okay?
53:16God's promise and will. Matthew 7.
53:20>> Ask and it shall be given you. Seek.
53:23>> This is what we have access to.
53:26I can't say it enough. I and I know
53:29you've heard this over and over, but
53:31this is what we have access to. Let's
53:35use it. Go ahead.
53:37>> Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and
53:40ye shall find. Knock and it shall be
53:42opened unto you. For everyone that
53:45askketh receiveth, and he that seeketh
53:47findeth, and to him that knockketh it
53:50shall be opened.
53:53>> We have access to that. We have to seek,
53:56ask knock.
53:58and it's there.
54:00God's not a liar. He's not lying to us.
54:04>> He's not saying, "Oh, leave a little
54:06carrot out in front of the, you know,
54:08giving us a little carrot." No.
54:11No. That's God's will.
54:14That is God's will for us.
54:18Now, what we do with it, that's another
54:21story. How we handle it. That's why we
54:24have to be teachable. We have to stay
54:26humble. We have to stay under. You know,
54:30some people don't don't want to be uh
54:35what can I say?
54:37They don't want to have to be have
54:39respect or or acknowledge that
54:41somebody's over them or they're in a
54:44lower position or this and that. But in
54:46God, there are people a lot higher than
54:49us and and people that have been through
54:51the fire, been through the floods and
54:54come through them.
54:55And we need to pick up on that wisdom.
54:59It'll make our life so much easier.
55:02>> You know, they
55:04I I tried to find the song in the song
55:06book. I didn't know how to look it up,
55:08Sister Holmes, but it says, "Oh, what
55:10peace we often forfeit.
55:13>> Oh, what needless pain we bear
55:16>> all because we do not carry
55:19>> everything to God in prayer."
55:23I didn't see you this one.
55:25>> I I just said it. It's good.
55:29Needless pain we bear. That's why we
55:31have scars. Some of us, we did the wrong
55:34thing. We made the wrong decision.
55:37Thank God we're able to be turned around
55:39>> before it's too late.
55:42>> You know, the blind lead the blind. They
55:44all boom, fall in the ditch.
55:47>> Who's leading you? Who are we following?
55:52I mean, if you're going to get in, get
55:54in all the way. 100%.
55:57100%.
56:01It's the only way it'll work. I'm
56:02telling you, you can't straddle the
56:04fence. Too many people have tried it and
56:07it doesn't work.
56:09>> It's been a destructive decision for
56:11them.
56:13You can't ride the fence. You can't do
56:14it. You've got to make a decision one
56:17way or another. You can't be unstable.
56:19You will be unstable in everything you
56:21do
56:23and it won't work out.
56:26James 4. Did I Did you read this one?
56:29James 4:13-17.
56:33Did you get it? Go ahead. Read that one.
56:36[clears throat]
56:37>> Go to now ye that say, "Today or
56:40tomorrow we will go into such a city and
56:42continue there a year and buy and sell
56:45and get gain."
56:46>> That's our will. Go ahead.
56:49Whereas ye know, whereas ye know not
56:52what shall be on the tomorrow.
56:54>> We don't know what's going to happen
56:55tomorrow,
56:57but we're still going. If we've got it
56:59in our mind set that we're doing this,
57:01and we're not going to deviate it from
57:03it, but it's wrong and we know it's
57:06wrong now or we're not 100% it's right,
57:09and we're headstrong against it, we
57:12could be hitting a wall. Go ahead, read
57:14it again.
57:17Whereas ye know not what shall be on the
57:18tomorrow?
57:19>> We don't know.
57:20>> For what is your life? It is even a
57:23vapor that appearth for a little time
57:26and then vanishth away.
57:29For that ye ought to say, if the Lord
57:31will, we shall live and do this or that.
57:36But but now ye rejoice in your
57:39boastings. All such rejoicing is evil.
57:43Therefore, to him that knoweth to do
57:45good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
57:48>> Okay, thank you.
57:52>> To him that knoweth to do good and
57:54doesn't do it is sin.
57:59So, you know, the Bible says, "Train up
58:01a child in the way he should go, the way
58:03he should go, and even if they leave
58:06after many days, they'll come back to
58:07it." It's always there in their mind.
58:11somebody that grew up in church, it's
58:13always there in the back of their mind.
58:15It's always there. God will deal with
58:18them
58:19and deal with them. It's always there.
58:23And there's no way to run. David said,
58:26"Where can I hide? Where am I going to
58:28hide? If I make my bed in in in
58:32under the earth and down there, if I
58:34make my bed down there, you see me. God
58:37knows where you're at.
58:39>> He knows where you're at.
58:41He knows what you're facing. He knows
58:42what you really want.
58:49I'm going to read this uh
58:52Psalms uh 19 7-14 again.
59:00The law of the Lord is perfect,
59:02converting the soul.
59:05The testimony of the Lord is sure,
59:08making the wise simple. The statutes of
59:12the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.
59:17The commandment of the Lord is pure,
59:20enlightening the eyes. It'll help you
59:23see clearly. It'll help you go the right
59:26direction.
59:28Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a
59:31light unto my pathway. God will shine it
59:35for you.
59:38Lightening the eyes. The fear of the
59:40Lord is clean, enduring forever. The
59:42judgments of the Lord are true and
59:44righteous altogether. More to be desired
59:48are they than gold. Yay. Than much fine
59:51gold. Gold's a lot. It's over 5,000 an
59:54ounce. Now,
59:56this is better than gold.
60:00>> This is better than gold.
60:06More to be desired are they than gold,
60:08yay, than much fine gold. Sweeter also
60:11than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover,
60:13by them is thy servant warned,
60:18and in keeping of them there is great
60:21reward.
60:24>> Are you hearing this?
60:26You know the one of my
60:29really I like I say it a lot scriptures
60:31is they that doeth the will of God
60:35abideth forever.
60:38And the th is a continuing
60:41he that doeth the will of God.
60:44Continually doing the will of God
60:47abideth. Live with God. You're there.
60:51You're abiding. You're in fellowship.
60:53abideth et forever. You're continually
60:58abiding.
61:01>> Moreover, by them is thy servant warned,
61:04and in keeping of them there is great
61:07reward.
61:09Who can understand his errors? Cleanse
61:12thou me from secret faults?
61:15Keep back thy servant also from
61:17presumptuous sins. Let them not have
61:20dominion over me.
61:23Then shall I be upright,
61:26and I shall be innocent from the great
61:29transgressions. Let the words of my
61:31mouth and the meditation of my heart be
61:36acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my
61:40strength and my redeemer.
61:44Amen.
61:47So,
61:50we are at a place where we need to make
61:54a decision. And if you're in a tight
61:56place right now and you need a decision,
61:58we're going to have a little season of
62:00prayer here. and those that are really
62:04need an answer, I'd like for you if you
62:07would if you if you want to come up and
62:10stand here and we'll get some of other
62:13people that are prayer warriors around
62:15you because I feel like God God, you
62:18know, we have an open door. We are
62:22living so far below our our potential
62:27>> and you know, sometimes you get
62:28frustrated, but you can't. You got to
62:30keep going. You know, some things are
62:32not not in your control. But we have
62:37such a potential in our church in our in
62:40in everything. I mean,
62:42every facet of our life, every part of
62:46our life, financial, physical, uh
62:50healthwise, uh uh workwise,
62:54relationshipwise,
62:56dealing with people. Uh, you know, it's
62:58hard to be a boss sometimes because you
63:00got to tell people what to do. And
63:03sometimes when you're the boss and
63:06something's not right, you got to cut
63:07your losses. It's hard to cut your
63:09losses, especially when you've put you
63:12have somebody working for you and you've
63:14putting time in them and then but
63:16sometimes it's so detrimental to you
63:19what's going on that you've got to cut
63:21your losses. You got to say, "I'm not
63:23going there anymore. I'm done. I'm done.
63:26Cut the losses. Otherwise, you're going
63:29to keep going down, down, down, down,
63:30down. Destruction.
63:33Saints against destructive decisions.
63:37Please, please. Me, too. I got to
63:40listen.
63:42Listen. Uh, we've got to bring it all to
63:45God in prayer.
63:47It's very important. It's very
63:49important, especially in this hour.
63:51There's so many crazy things going on.
63:53So many things we face every day that
63:57changing the world changes every day.
64:00And you know what we do too.
64:03And you know what? When we come to
64:05church, we're supposed to be changed for
64:07the better. And that's how church is
64:09supposed to operate. And that's what
64:11we're going to go after.
64:13Okay? Singleness of mind, singleness of
64:17heart. If the I be single, the whole
64:20body is full of light. Okay? those that
64:22have a need. Please, if you want,
64:25if you have decisions you can need to
64:27make, I mean important decisions, lifech
64:32changing decisions, decisions your
64:35family's going to
64:37that'll guide your family or your future
64:40or your potential. Please come up and
64:43get prayer and and and
64:46u maybe Sister Helms can sing that song.
64:48Uh I don't know if you if you want. Um
64:52Oh, what peace we offer. Perfect.
64:59Uh let's all stand. Come forward. Those
65:01that want prayer, please right here.
65:04>> Hallelujah.
