Summary

Rev. Jonathan Morales challenges believers to recognize that Jesus has already done more than enough to deserve our eternal praise, regardless of whether He performs another miracle. Through personal anecdotes and scripture, the sermon calls for a life of surrender fueled by gratitude for both everyday mercies and the finished work of the cross.

Key points
  • Gratitude should not be conditional on future miracles; God is worthy of praise for what He has already done.
  • True worship recognizes God in the everyday, simple blessings often taken for granted, such as a child's safety, a sunrise, or a breath of air.
  • Jesus demonstrated His overwhelming goodness through monumental acts-robing Himself in flesh, dying for sinners, and sending the Holy Spirit to dwell with His people.
  • A believer's life should be lived out of an 'overflow' of gratitude rather than just a sense of obligation.
  • Sharing personal testimonies of God's faithfulness is a practical way to worship and encourage others who are at the end of their rope.

Life application

Begin each morning this week by identifying one simple blessing (like the breath in your lungs) and one major work of God in your life, thanking Him aloud for both before starting your daily tasks.

Reflection questions
  1. If God never answered another one of your prayers, would He still be worthy of your worship based on what He has already done?
  2. What are the 'simple blessings' in your daily routine that you have been rushing past or taking for granted?
  3. How can you shift your perspective from waiting for a 'next big miracle' to living in the overflow of Christ's finished work at Calvary?
  4. Is there someone in your life today who needs to hear your testimony of how Jesus brought you through a difficult season?

0:00lungs are more thirsty than the rest of
0:00my body, but that is that they do.
0:02So, it seems as though, and I know I'm
0:06not alone in this, every time we are in
0:09a rush to get out of the door,
0:12one of or all of
0:16our kids conspire against us.
0:20They they I feel like they just they get
0:22together and they're like, "We know
0:23they're in a rush. We're going to do
0:25everything that we can to prevent them
0:28from getting to their destination on
0:31time. All the parents say amen.
0:34>> No matter how much we try, no matter how
0:36much we prepare, no matter how early we
0:39get up in the morning, how often I
0:41shout, "It's time to go." or the subtle
0:44from the side of the house where I'm in
0:46the kitchen and I'm putting ice in our
0:47cups getting ready to go and I say 7:55
0:53as if I'm just talking to myself. You
0:55know, I I'm not singling any child or
0:57person out in this moment. I'm just
1:00saying it's 7:55
1:02or if my wife and I'll I'll speak on her
1:04behalf tonight. if if she's already up
1:07and in the bathroom getting ready and
1:08and she just opens the bathroom door
1:10just a little bit more than she normally
1:11would so the light would come and hit me
1:13right in the face as if it were Jesus
1:16hitting Saul with the light from heaven.
1:18She's just like creeping the door open
1:20more and more. Alexa, turn on the
1:22bedroom strips, please.
1:26Johnny, it's 650.
1:31Every time it seems that we're in a
1:33rush, something just gets in the way.
1:36There's always something that gets in
1:39the way. But I distinctly remember one
1:41time, this was during the week, maybe
1:43about a year or so ago, we were trying
1:46to get Cohen to school on time. Cohen
1:48has to be at school at 8:00 in the
1:50morning. And when I mean at school, that
1:53means in his classroom and in his seat
1:55at 8:00 in the morning. And all the
1:57teachers appreciate this.
2:00That doesn't mean pulling up at 8:00
2:02apparently. Otherwise, after four or
2:05five of these tardies, you end up with a
2:07fee at the end of the month, which I
2:10appreciate. I do. They take learning
2:12seriously.
2:14But I'm trying to get Cohen to school on
2:16time. I I got to get him there at 8:00.
2:19It's already 7:35. And I'm doing all the
2:22calculations in my head. If there's
2:24three cars in line as I'm exiting my
2:26community, I know that I can make it.
2:28But if there's five or if that one Lexus
2:31is there that I know will never make
2:34that right-hand turn, I know I'm not I'm
2:36just not going to make it. I'm not going
2:38to make it tonight. And and there seemed
2:40to be no shot that we were going to make
2:42it on time to school that day. I was
2:44growing increasingly frustrated and
2:47flustered by this fact. And and and I
2:49was trying to corral the boys and get
2:51everything get all their backpacks and
2:53cups and all of these things out of the
2:55door. And I unlock the door and I push
2:58open the front door and I'm getting
3:00ready to shout, "Let's go. Let's go.
3:02Let's go." But as I get ready and I take
3:04that breath, I see Cohen grab his little
3:06brother's hand and he goes Caden was was
3:10hesitating at the front door because the
3:12ledge was was essentially Mount Everest
3:15and and he was so nervous. He this was a
3:17year ago, so he was two and you know, he
3:20wasn't running quite as fast as he he's
3:22running now. that he's he's hesitating
3:24at the front door, but Cohen grabs his
3:26hand. He goes, "Don't worry, Chie. I got
3:28you." And Chie gathers all the strength
3:31that he has and he
3:33jumps off the cliff of Mount Everest,
3:36lands, and he goes, "Thank you, Cohen."
3:41And Cadence and Cohen says, "No problem,
3:44Jety. I got you." And they walk on their
3:47way to the car. And in that moment, it
3:49was like everything slowed down.
3:53It was as if I imagined them right then
3:56walking out the door to high school.
3:57They didn't need anybody's help to get
3:59out the door. They were running late all
4:01by themselves.
4:03They didn't need me. They didn't need to
4:06hold someone's hand to get over that
4:08threshold. They didn't need any of that.
4:11And everything slowed down for a moment.
4:13And as they continued to walk, it was
4:15like the sun got brighter and I could
4:17hear the birds chirping. It wasn't just
4:19the crows, you know? You know what I'm
4:21saying? It was the pretty birds that
4:23were out there and they were chirping
4:25and seemed like the wind was blowing
4:27just right. It wasn't quite as hot as it
4:29usually was and it was just beautiful
4:32outside.
4:36And I it reminded me in that moment it
4:38it just hit me. How often do we overlook
4:41or take for granted the simple things
4:45that God gives us every single day just
4:47because we're rushing off to the next
4:49thing where we're waiting for the big
4:51stuff.
4:55And so that small moment, it reminded me
4:58of the goodness of Jesus.
5:02We're so busy looking for that next big
5:04miracle or we're just we're so busy that
5:07we just forget to thank him for the
5:09small things or for the things that he's
5:11already done for us.
5:14We're focused on what we got to get next
5:16and and we forgot that he's already done
5:1940 things behind us and we're just
5:21wondering and stressing is are we going
5:22to get this next thing done? And he's
5:24just saying, "Hey, slow down for a
5:27moment."
5:30Well, today I want to talk about how
5:31Jesus has already done enough,
5:34more than enough
5:37for us to give him all of our praise,
5:40all of our worship, and all of our
5:42adoration.
5:45From the simple things that we take for
5:47granted
5:49to the monumental acts of love that he
5:51has performed, his goodness is
5:54overwhelming.
5:57If he never does another single thing,
6:02he's still worthy of it all.
6:07And I know there's saints in this house
6:08that believe that tonight. That's why
6:11you're here on a Tuesday night.
6:14So, if you have your Bibles, you can
6:16stay seated. I'm going to read a few
6:17scriptures throughout. So, I appreciate
6:19your reverence for wanting to stand for
6:21the word of God. I'm just going to
6:23briefly read this one scripture and
6:24we'll go on to the next few over over
6:27time. Psalms chapter 107 verse one. It
6:31states, "Oh, give thanks to the Lord for
6:33he is good for his mercy endures
6:37forever.
6:40His goodness is the reason we praise
6:42him. Not just for what he might do, but
6:45for who he is and for what he's already
6:49done."
6:51So, how about we just briefly go over
6:54some of the simple blessings we may
6:56overlook. His goodness is in the
6:58everyday moments that we often take for
7:01granted. Lamentations 3:22-23.
7:05Through the Lord's mercies, we are not
7:08consumed
7:10because his compassions fail not. It's
7:13his mercies and it's his compassions.
7:15They are new every morning. Great is
7:19your faithfulness.
7:21The small gifts that we often take for
7:24granted. Waking up every single morning.
7:29You're in a bed that morning.
7:33Being able to raise oursel off of our
7:35pillow that morning. Some of us may be
7:38in more pain than the other, but being
7:40able to raise oursel off the pillow that
7:42morning. setting our feet on the ground
7:45and that ground below us isn't dirt.
7:50Flipping on a light, maybe maybe asking
7:52Alexa to turn on the bedroom lights.
7:58Being able to slide our feet into some
8:01sandals or slippers that are somewhat
8:03comfortable. For me, it's Crocs. And
8:05slide my feet into my Crocs and they're
8:07never in sport mode, always in leisure
8:10mode. and I just slide them in and I go
8:13about my day
8:16taking that breath in the morning that
8:22and too often my exhale is an exhale of
8:24frustration but I can't believe I'm up
8:27already but that exhale is a blessing.
8:33The laughter of our kids because they've
8:36been up for an hour already.
8:40the sound of my cadence saying I want
8:42AFV
8:44at 5:45 to 6:15 in the morning
8:49or I want jammy Sammy
8:52right around 6:30
8:55or Cohen. He doesn't know how to slowly
8:57open the door. He's throws it open as if
9:01there is a an earthquake behind him and
9:03he throws it open and comes running in
9:05and turns on the lights and goes to the
9:07bathroom.
9:12What a blessing.
9:18The beauty of a sunset.
9:21We live in a beautiful place.
9:24We take it for granted.
9:26There are times I feel like God makes
9:28the sky extra beautiful just so I can
9:30recognize it because I guess sometimes
9:33the ordinary beautiful masterpieces
9:35aren't enough for my eyes.
9:38I I look up and I'm like
9:41taken away because there's a million
9:43colors I had never seen before. It feels
9:45like in the sky. What a blessing.
9:49A few of the small blessings in our
9:51lives right now are maybe getting a five
9:54or six hour stretch of sleep from
9:56Callaway
10:01or maybe not getting a high or low blood
10:03sugar alert in the middle of the night
10:05from Cohen's phone.
10:08That feels like the loudest alarm I have
10:10ever heard in my life.
10:14We're getting Kaden to eat something
10:15other than a jammy Sammy for dinner.
10:19What a blessing.
10:22Maybe he ate a chicken nugget. Would you
10:24believe it?
10:27Think about the small blessings in your
10:29life.
10:30Things that you can point to.
10:33the little ways that Jesus tries to
10:35remind you that he cares for you, that
10:38he loves you.
10:42Flipping on the lights and not having to
10:43worry if that light's going to turn on
10:45or not.
10:47Turning on the sink in the bathroom so
10:48that you can brush your teeth, not
10:51really having to worry if that water is
10:52going to turn on or not.
10:57The small blessings,
10:59the things that we take for granted, the
11:01simple, the everyday,
11:06we take them for granted.
11:09These things are not accidents.
11:12They are gifts directly from the hand of
11:14Jesus.
11:17Have you ever noticed,
11:19and I know my mother-in-law will speak
11:21to this, she's she enjoys a nice hot cup
11:23of coffee.
11:25how the warmth of a hot cup of coffee
11:28can just change a terrible morning. Sit
11:32on the back patio, you got your Bible on
11:35your lap,
11:37and you're looking over the pool, and
11:39you sip that hot cup of coffee. Changes
11:41everything.
11:43Or for me, an iced latte because it's
11:45113 degrees outside
11:48and I'm getting it from Cali Coffee. Not
11:50sponsored
11:52yet.
11:56That first sip just feels like it just
11:58it'll ease my morning. All the stresses
12:00that I feel like I felt, it just calms
12:02it down.
12:04These are blessings that we have.
12:09What about the kind word from a
12:10stranger? I've had them before. I've
12:13been having the worst day. It just feels
12:15like someone passes by and they go,
12:17"Hey,
12:19can I help you with anything?" Or
12:21convicts me. Hey, Jesus loves you.
12:26Yeah, I need that reminder.
12:31What a blessing that is.
12:33We often pray for these big
12:36breakthroughs and we forget to thank him
12:38for the daily mercies that are renewed,
12:41the daily mercies that sustain us. His
12:45goodness isn't just in the spectacular.
12:48His goodness is woven into every single
12:51moment of our lives.
12:55When was the last time that we thank God
12:57for something like this? For the small,
13:01for the good night's sleep, or maybe the
13:03text from a friend you weren't expecting
13:05that made you smile that night.
13:09These simple blessings are enough to
13:12praise him for an eternity.
13:15But Jesus didn't stop there. His
13:19goodness goes so much deeper and is so
13:23much bigger than we could ever imagine.
13:27Amen.
13:29It don't bother me none. I preach to
13:31that all day long.
13:33Callaway and I will talk in gibberish to
13:35each other from across the house for
13:37feels like 30 minutes. He's
13:41and I'm over there in the corner.
13:46doesn't bother me now. We're having a
13:49full-fledged conversation that's way
13:50high above what you could ever
13:52understand.
13:58The monumental acts of Jesus
14:01are some of the major things that he had
14:03done, some of the big things that he has
14:06done.
14:09We could just think back to the Old
14:10Testament and think of the ways that he
14:12parted the Red Sea. huge monumental
14:16thing,
14:18very gigantic show of power. It's like
14:22he rolled up his sleeve for that one and
14:24said, "Hey, let me show you what I can
14:25do. We're rescuing the three Hebrew boys
14:28from the fire." No subtle act there.
14:34We're rescuing Daniel from the lion's
14:36den, and he wakes up still surrounded by
14:38lions, but almost as if he's just used
14:41them as a couch for the evening.
14:45Or what about delivering all of the the
14:48Hebrew children and adults out of Egypt,
14:53sending the plagues,
14:55all of these miraculous things appearing
14:58before them as a pillar of fire and a
14:59cloud.
15:02Pouring out water from a rock. I've
15:05tried. It doesn't work.
15:08Mana raining from heaven. huge shows of
15:12power and love for the people.
15:16He didn't stop there
15:19because when we made a mess,
15:21he could have stopped there and said,
15:23"Hey, I did enough. I already did enough
15:27for you
15:29for you to praise me and worship me for
15:31all of eternity." He didn't stop there.
15:35He came down from heaven, robed himself
15:38in flesh, endured all of the things that
15:41we would endure in temptation and more.
15:46Laid himself down on a cross.
15:50He was perfect. He had no need to do
15:52that. He didn't have to do it. But he
15:55did it for you and for me.
16:00John 3:16. For God so loved the world
16:03that he gave his only begotten son that
16:05whoever believes in him should not
16:07perish but have everlasting life. So
16:11Jesus, he walked among us. He taught
16:13love. He healed the sick. He showed us
16:15what the heart of God looked like. He
16:18fed 5,000, gave sight to the blind,
16:21healed the lame man, and loved the
16:23unlovable.
16:25All of these things he could have
16:27stopped there.
16:29He died on the cross. Took our sin, our
16:32shame, our punishment. He didn't just
16:33die for the good people.
16:36He died for all of us.
16:39While we were yet still sinners
16:42according to Romans,
16:45he could have stopped there. That was
16:47enough pain to endure. It's good enough.
16:51He defeated death and gave us hope for
16:54all of eternity.
16:57gave us hope for life after death and
16:59power to live victoriously today. Could
17:03have stopped there
17:05already rose from the dead. I mean, what
17:07else do they want?
17:11He went away, but he didn't leave us
17:13lonely. He sent the comforter, his
17:16spirit,
17:18as a gift that we can all freely receive
17:22>> with the evidence of speaking in other
17:24tongues. According to Acts chapter 2,
17:29if Jesus had only lived the perfect life
17:32that he lived, that would have been
17:34enough. If he had only died for us, that
17:39would have been enough. If he had only
17:42rose rose from the dead, that would have
17:45been enough.
17:48If he had only poured out his spirit
17:51that one time,
17:53it would have been enough. But no, Jesus
17:56saw you and he saw me and he thought,
17:59"They are worth so much more than that.
18:05>> They are worth so much more than just
18:09living a perfect life. They are worth so
18:12much more than just enduring torture and
18:15and pain and suffering. And they are
18:18worth so much more than just laying down
18:20my life on a cross. They are worth so
18:23much more than just raising from the
18:25dead. They are worth so much more than
18:28me just pouring out their spirit upon
18:30them. They are worth so much more than
18:33me sending the comforter to be with them
18:36so that they are not lonely and that
18:38they don't that that they could still
18:40feel my presence. They're worth so much
18:42more.
18:45I've got to do all of those things and
18:47more. That's the way God sees us.
18:52It doesn't make sense to me.
18:56You know, because I could look in a
18:57mirror and realize how
19:00little I deserve that.
19:03And little is still more than I deserve
19:05that.
19:07I don't deserve any of it.
19:10I deserve the shame and the rejection
19:12and the punishment of my sin,
19:18but Jesus called me worthy.
19:22And too often, I think in this
19:24generation, we have too many people,
19:28God help me, who feel they are just way
19:32beyond this this salvation message,
19:35this woe is me. I'm not worthy of it
19:38all. I'm going to hang my head and tuck
19:39my tail between my legs. I'm not worthy
19:42of any of it. In fact, I'm going to run
19:44away from it all because I just I I
19:47can't do it. I I'm not good enough.
19:49You're right.
19:52You weren't.
19:54But Jesus saw you.
19:57>> He saw me. And if he calls me worthy,
20:01who do I think that I am to reject what
20:04the master is saying? Who do I think
20:07that I am to say, "Hey, Jesus, I know
20:09what you're saying, but I think that's a
20:11lie because I'm not worthy of it." My
20:14God. Jesus has looked upon each and
20:16every one of our faces and has thought,
20:19"Oh, how I love them. My child, my sweet
20:22child, I want to give them everything
20:24that I have to offer. In fact, I'm going
20:26to go away. I'm going to prepare a place
20:28for them. I'm going to create this
20:30beautiful tapestry that they could never
20:33imagine. and I'm going to create a place
20:35where they can dwell with me for all of
20:37eternity. They are worthy of all of that
20:40and so much more. What else could I give
20:43them? What else could I do? How else can
20:45I brighten their day? Can I send someone
20:47to to give them a $20 gift card today?
20:50Can I send someone to just give them a
20:52word of encouragement today? Man, I know
20:54they've been feeling down. You know
20:55what? Can I send somebody to say, "Man,
20:58you you look beautiful today. Can I do
21:00any of those things just to brighten
21:02their day because they're so much more
21:04worthy of all of it? That's what he
21:08thinks of us.
21:11>> Hallelujah.
21:15>> How can we not worship him for that?
21:19>> The Bible says if we don't, the rocks
21:21will cry out.
21:23>> I don't know about you, I looked at
21:25rocks recently. It didn't seem like they
21:27had a whole lot going on.
21:30They're going to shout and they're
21:32sitting in the same parking lot for
21:35years and years and years. Or maybe they
21:37got moved because one of my kids grabbed
21:38them and put it in their pocket and took
21:39it home. There's a huge day for a rock.
21:47Rock on.
21:49That's a good one.
21:52And they're going to shout praises unto
21:54God.
21:55They've never taken a breath a day in
21:58their lives.
22:01Yet, we do this every single day,
22:03hundreds and hundreds of times without
22:05fail. And we take it for granted, the in
22:07and the out and the in and the out. And
22:09we get to speak these words and feel
22:11love from another person and feel the
22:13warm embrace of a mother or father or a
22:16child running up behind us and grabbing
22:18us by our leg. And we feel these things
22:20every single day and take them for
22:22granted. How can we not worship him for
22:25that?
22:28>> I'm challenging myself today because I
22:30feel like I've been in a rut and it's my
22:32own stinking fault,
22:37>> man. I feel like I haven't I haven't
22:38God, I haven't felt you like I wanted
22:40to. Well, that's my fault.
22:42>> He hasn't moved.
22:44>> He's been right there. In fact, if I'm
22:46walking a step away, he's like, "Hey,
22:48>> you sure you want to go that way?" and I
22:50take another step in the wrong direction
22:51and he's right behind me saying, "Hey,
22:53>> hey, hey, where are you going?"
22:56>> He's never left me lonely,
22:58>> never forsaken me,
23:00>> never left his seed begging bread.
23:03>> This is who he is.
23:05>> How can we not praise him?
23:14Because he has done enough. Our response
23:17should be a life of gratitude, a life of
23:20worship, and a life of surrender unto
23:23him.
23:26Colossians 3:17.
23:29And whatever you do in word or deed, do
23:33all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
23:35giving thanks to God the Father through
23:38him.
23:40his goodness and generosity. It calls us
23:42to live differently.
23:44Not out of obligation. We've got
23:47obligation, but we don't ha we don't
23:48have to do it out of obligation. I feel
23:50like I I owe it all to him,
23:54but out of overflow.
23:57My God, I I'm so full of blessings.
24:00When I look around and I consider what
24:03what's going going on in the world, I or
24:06what I deserve, I I'm full of blessings.
24:08I'm overflowing.
24:13>> When we realize he's already done
24:15enough, our hearts can't help but
24:18respond with worship.
24:22So, how can we change our mindset? How
24:25can I change my mindset?
24:29We got to do practical things to change
24:31your mindset. You can't just hope one
24:33day it's going to change. You got to
24:35work towards it.
24:37No one ever went to sleep and woke up
24:39with a six-pack. I'm trying. It ain't
24:41happening.
24:43>> You got to work towards those things.
24:49We can start each day with a thank you
24:53for one simple blessing or one major
24:55work from God.
24:57And as we we wake up and we start this
25:00prayer and we just thank him for
25:02something simple. God,
25:05thank you for the breath that I have in
25:07my body.
25:10I know there's a lot of people that
25:11didn't wake up today with breath in
25:13their body.
25:15God, I I know this is such a blessing.
25:18This breath that I'm taking is the very
25:20breath from you, Jesus. Wow. What what a
25:23miraculous blessing.
25:26Or we can think about the the big things
25:28that he has done. God, I I woke up this
25:31morning and I'm just I'm thanking you
25:32for the huge things that you've done in
25:34my life. For that promotion I got out of
25:36nowhere, Lord God, thank you for that
25:38contract that came through and I wasn't
25:40expecting it. Thank you, Jesus.
25:44>> For closing on a property that I've been
25:45trying to close on for months and
25:47months, God, thank you so much. I know
25:50you did it six months ago, but I feel
25:52like I haven't thanked you again for it
25:53recently. God, thank you.
25:56>> Thank you, Jesus.
25:58>> God, I thank you. This is personal. I I
26:01thank you for for shaking my my mind and
26:04my wife's mind to to Cohen's situation
26:07and not allowing us to wait another day
26:09or two to take him to the hospital
26:11before he received his diagnosis, God,
26:13because I know according to the science
26:15of it all, he could have been in the ICU
26:18or he could have become unconscious.
26:21>> God, I thank you.
26:24I feel like I woke up tired this
26:25morning. I didn't think about that. But
26:27I know that it's a blessing from you
26:29even still today.
26:33>> And what we realize is as we get into
26:36this routine of the simple things or the
26:39one big thing that we thank him for, we
26:41start rolling and rolling and soon this
26:43simple prayer turns into a divine
26:45encounter with Jesus because he's going
26:48to show up in that prayer and he's going
26:50to say, "I do it because I love you.
26:54I give you breath because I love you. I
26:57give you provision because I love you. I
26:59give you the ability to work with your
27:01hands and your feet because I love you.
27:03I give you the ability to turn the
27:05engine in your car and it get up and go
27:07because I love you.
27:13>> All of a sudden it turns into this
27:15divine encounter with Jesus. And
27:19it's a practical thing that we can do.
27:25We could share his goodness with others.
27:28It's a practical thing we can do.
27:31Too often I fail at this. Feel like
27:34there's a perfect opportunity to just
27:36say, "Listen, I know you're going
27:38through it, but I know God's going to
27:39bring you through."
27:41That means the world to somebody.
27:43Somebody who's at the end of their rope.
27:45You ever been at the end of your rope
27:47and needed someone to tell you, "Hey,
27:48it's not over yet. Just hang in there.
27:51Hang in there.
27:54There's so many people who can relate to
27:56the things that we are going through or
27:58have already gone through and they're
28:00just hoping for someone to share the
28:02fact that Jesus is still with them in
28:04the middle of this situation. They're
28:06just waiting and they want to hear it
28:08from somebody who's gone through it
28:10themselves. It's why we go through the
28:12things we go through. It's why God
28:15brings us through it and doesn't just
28:16leave us in the middle of it so that we
28:18have a testimony to share at the end of
28:20it.
28:25We worship him practically.
28:28Not just on Sundays,
28:30not just on Tuesdays, not just at all
28:32church prayer, but we worship him every
28:35day.
28:37>> We worship him in how we love our
28:39family,
28:41>> saved or unsaved. We worship him by how
28:43we love our family. Truly love them. We
28:47worship him in how we serve our
28:49community. We worship him in how we
28:51present ourselves at work.
28:54>> We worship him in how we trust him
28:56through the tough times.
28:59Worship him every day.
29:02I know there's so many testimonies of
29:04saints in this house who can attest to
29:06the fact that despite hardships,
29:10>> despite failures that we will face, God
29:15always proves himself to be faithful.
29:24>> Always.
29:27There's story after story and miracle
29:29after miracle in this house. You're not
29:32the only one who's gone through it.
29:37Jesus has done enough.
29:40More
29:41more than enough.
29:44So, as I close, musicians come.
29:51We've seen how Jesus's goodness
29:54shines in the simple blessings
29:56that we overlook.
29:59We've seen how his blessings shine in
30:01the monumental works that he has
30:03performed, the things that he has done,
30:05his death, his burial, resurrection,
30:07pouring out of his spirit, all of the
30:08other miracles that we talked about
30:09tonight. We've seen how his goodness
30:13shines in the ways that he calls us to
30:15live in gratitude.
30:18I've come to proclaim tonight that if he
30:20never does another thing,
30:23he's still worthy of all of our praise.
30:31Let's make it real tonight.
30:34Let's imagine for a moment,
30:37what if tomorrow
30:40the income stops?
30:45It's happened to me before.
30:47It's happened to a lot of you before.
30:52What if tomorrow the miracles stopped?
30:57What if tomorrow the prayers went
30:59unanswered?
31:02What if that door stays closed?
31:06What if the breakthroughs never come?
31:12What if the healing never shows up?
31:24Would we still lift our hands?
31:28Would we still sing his praises?
31:32The truth is
31:35everything he's done
31:40has been enough to claim every breath,
31:43every heartbeat, every moment of our
31:46lives. He didn't just give us a second
31:48chance. I hear that often. Give me a
31:51second chance. No, he gave you a chance
31:53in eternity.
31:56You're going to fail that second chance.
31:58So, you got a third lined up and you're
31:59going to fail that third time. And
32:02you've got a fourth time waiting, but
32:04there's eternity waiting for you.
32:08He didn't just heal our wounds, he bore
32:10them on his own body.
32:15If he never whispers another word of
32:17comfort,
32:19never parts another sea,
32:22never moves another mountain,
32:26he's still the king who left the throne
32:30for the cross.
32:34The savior who traded
32:36glory for our guilt.
32:41I owe him my life.
32:45Not because of what he might do
32:46tomorrow,
32:48but because he's what he's already done.
32:52And so do you.
32:55In the silence of the unanswered
32:57prayers,
32:59in the valley of unmet expectations,
33:03we declare Jesus,
33:06you are enough.
33:10>> My praise isn't conditional. It's
33:13eternal. My worship isn't earned by
33:16favors. It is fueled by your finished
33:19work at Calvary.
33:22He's already done enough. And that
33:25changes everything. So tonight, as we
33:27stand and gather around this front,
33:30this is our moment to respond to his
33:33goodness.
33:36He's worthy of our whole lives.
33:41Let's pray together right now in
33:43thanksgiving and in reconsecration of
33:46ourselves
33:47>> unto him.
33:50>> Let's thank him for the small blessings,
33:52the sunrise, the breath in our lungs,
33:54the love of family. Let's thank him for
33:56the big things, his sacrifice, his
33:58resurrection, his unending love. And
34:01let's lay our lives before him again
34:04saying "Jesus
34:06I am yours. my life, my heart, my all
34:10because you've already done enough.
34:14>> Why don't we praise him? Why don't we
34:15thank him right now? Jesus. Hallelujah.
