Summary
Dr. Billy Hale explores the profound 'profit' of prayer, likening it to a spiritual evaporation process that creates clouds of blessing. He challenges the church to engage in deep, whole-being prayer to unlock miracles and navigate the challenges of the end times.
Key points
- •Job 21:15 asks a cynical question about the 'profit' of prayer, but the book of Job reveals prayer as a powerful, scientific spiritual principle likened to the cycle of evaporation.
- •True apostolic prayer (Tefla/Tephillah) is a deep, intense 'hymn-like' prayer that involves the entirety of a person: body, soul, and spirit.
- •Just as physical clouds produce rain through evaporation, spiritual clouds are formed by consistent, fervent prayer, eventually resulting in the 'latter rain' of revival and miracles.
- •We are living in the 'feet' of Nebuchadnezzar's vision (Daniel 2); the spirit of the age is manifesting through global systems of control, but the only power that can overcome this is a prayer-filled church.
- •Spiritual authority in prayer releases angelic assignment, breaks chains, and opens 'iron gates' for those bound by addiction or lost from the faith.

Life application
Commit to 'loud and intense' prayer this week rather than just silent meditation, involving your whole person in worship to build 'spiritual clouds' over your home and family. Concrete result: spend 15 minutes each day praying the Word of God aloud over your children and upcoming church services.
Reflection questions
- How does viewing prayer as an 'evaporation' process change your perspective on seemingly unanswered prayers?
- Are there 'iron gates' in your life or community that you have stopped praying for because they seem too difficult?
- What are the differences between simple meditation and the 'Tefla' (intense/song-like) prayer described by Dr. Hale?
- How can you better involve your 'body, soul, and spirit' in your personal altar time?

0:00The book of Job, chapter 21
0:04and verse 15.
0:09very very important question that was
0:12asked
0:14and when you look through the book of
0:15Job you will find it's full of questions
0:20and it should be because you wonder why
0:24in the world a man as righteous as he is
0:28has to go through with the things that
0:30he goes through.
0:33But listen to what the the word says.
0:38What is the Almighty
0:40that we should serve him?
0:44And what profit
0:47should we have if we pray
0:52unto him?
1:00Verse, let's see, Job 36. Let's skip
1:03down there. Verse 27.
1:09For he maketh small
1:12the drops of water.
1:14They pour down rain according to the
1:18vapor thereof
1:21which the clouds do drop and distill
1:26upon man abundantly.
1:29Verse 29. Also,
1:32can any understand
1:36the spreading of the clouds
1:39or the noise
1:42of his tabernacle.
1:46The next little while I want to talk to
1:49you and hopefully
1:51give you an answer to the question in
1:55Job 21 and 15.
1:58Is there
2:00any prophet
2:03to prayer?
2:06It's in the scripture.
2:09God bless you. You may be seated.
2:14Of
2:18course, the question that was asked here
2:21in Job about prayer
2:26was not asked for someone to give them
2:28an answer.
2:31It was one of Job's
2:34comforters, friends that came
2:38and they were asking this with a cynical
2:41spirit.
2:43They were not trying to find out if
2:45prayer was profitable or not.
2:48But when you read the book of Job,
2:52you can read it and understand that it
2:55has probably
2:57it's probably one of the most astounding
3:00pieces of literature,
3:02secular and religious, that you will
3:06ever find. It's one of the most
3:09magnificent and dramatic poems that is
3:13given.
3:15The simity that you find of the theme
3:18that's there,
3:20the grandeur of its literary sweep is
3:26unaccelled in any kind of literature
3:30anywhere.
3:32And the reason is trying to treat a
3:37perplexing
3:39subject, profound subject. Why
3:44does the righteous people have to
3:47suffer?
3:50Well, according to Job's friends,
3:54they said it's because of sin.
3:58We know that's not true because there
4:01was nobody more righteous than Job.
4:05Eliu appears and declares the truth that
4:10sometimes affliction
4:13and sometimes pain comes to purify
4:19the righteous.
4:21Just kind of a testing by a loving
4:25father.
4:27But in this book of Job, now you stay
4:29with me. Because I am going to take my
4:33time.
4:35Amen. I won't preach long,
4:38but that doesn't mean I won't stay up
4:40here long.
4:43I've got to lay a foundation,
4:46sir. The preaching part's not going to
4:49take that long,
4:51but the foundation is going to take you
4:53take me a long time.
4:56So, I hope you brought your ham sandwich
4:58in your purse.
5:01We won't take any breaks either.
5:06But when you look in the book of Job,
5:08it's you'll find
5:10to me something amazing. Yes. And that
5:14is the scientific law of evaporation is
5:20given.
5:21It's given by the oldest character in
5:24the Bible.
5:26There's no mention of Abraham
5:29because this was before Abraham. There
5:33is no mention of course of the
5:35tabernacle or Moses because this was so
5:39far before that all took place.
5:43But Job, all he has is to respond to two
5:50dispensations
5:51of the grace of God. There's more than
5:55two now, but up until that time, there
5:58was only two dispensations.
6:02And as you know, grace when you define
6:06it, you will know that it means God in
6:11action.
6:13God in action. Now, the New Testament,
6:17that's a little different. The
6:19definition for grace in the New
6:22Testament is God's influence,
6:27God's spiritual influence
6:30upon the soul of a man. And that's good
6:34preaching there.
6:36Amen.
6:38But the first dispensation
6:40of God's grace came through creation.
6:45God created the heavens and the earth.
6:47Right? God created the beast of the
6:50field, fowls of the air, fish of the
6:53sea.
6:54And this was the only preacher in the
6:58world. And this was all that was given
7:02was the creation and the only message of
7:06grace.
7:08And in order for you to communicate with
7:11God, you had to come with a sacrificial
7:17sacrifice,
7:19blood sacrifice,
7:21pigeon, a lamb, ox, whatever it may be.
7:27But you could not approach God unless
7:30you had
7:32had brought a bloody sacrifice.
7:36And in doing that, it was saying in
7:39essence, you should have died and your
7:44blood should have been shed. But instead
7:47of your blood, if you want to talk to
7:50me, God says,
7:52I'll take innocent substitute blood if
7:57you want to come and talk with me. Now
8:00stay with me. The second dispensation
8:03of God's grace was after the flood.
8:08It was called the dispensation of
8:11conscience.
8:13Before the flood.
8:15Oh, this is a shocker.
8:19Before the flood,
8:21I don't find anywhere in the Bible.
8:25I might miss it, but I don't find
8:28anywhere in the Bible that there was any
8:31consequence
8:33of sin.
8:35That's a shocker to me. No punishment
8:38for sin before then. People lived
8:42hundreds of years and it got so bad and
8:46so revolting
8:49that God actually
8:51repented that he made man. Now look at
8:55me please. The word repent that's there
9:00is not dealing with sin
9:03because God is a sinless God.
9:06Repent. When you look up the definition
9:09of repent,
9:11it just simply means change your mind.
9:16God can change his mind. He's not going
9:20to change his character and who he is,
9:23but you can pray and talk to God and God
9:27would do tell you he's going to do one
9:29thing. But when he hears the cry of the
9:33righteous, God says, "You know what?
9:37I'll change my mind and let them go
9:39free. How about giving God thanksgiving
9:42for that? Ain't that worthy?
9:47Hallelujah.
9:50And so
9:53it became so corrupt in sensuality,
9:56degradation so bad, it's unmentionable
10:00the things that we could go into. child
10:03sacrifice, drunkenness, and so on. And
10:07God sent a flood to end it all. He could
10:10have started over, but he had he had he
10:14had a righteous man there. Yes. And he
10:17said, "I can't just wipe everybody off
10:20because I've got somebody to save
10:23because they're righteous." And so he
10:25created a method of salvation. Folks,
10:29don't forget what I'm fixing to tell
10:31you. It's going to get dark and w bad
10:34and and the whole thing is going to look
10:37like there's no hope. But God always has
10:42a method of salvation in the midst of
10:45it. And that's why you need to be
10:47preparing for the rapture of the church.
10:50God's got a church that the Holy Ghost
10:53and anointing of God will save you out
10:57of what's going on and the judgments of
10:59God that's coming upon this world. I
11:02thank God for salvation.
11:05I thank God for salvation.
11:09Hallelujah. So
11:12conscience came alive and where there is
11:16no judgment of course there's no need of
11:19having a conscience if there's no
11:21judgment and conscience came alive. So
11:26Job comes on the scene and he has a
11:30conscience that's so tender.
11:32It's so tender that when his children
11:35would have a party or a celebration, the
11:38scripture says he would offer a
11:40sacrifice for each child because he
11:44said, "Lest my children do something
11:47that offends God." That's how sensitive
11:50his conscience was. It's like Abraham.
11:54Abraham did that as well.
11:57He was one of the ones that would tear
12:01along there before the presence of God
12:04to try to save his nephew Lot. But Job
12:08is in this situation. There's no
12:11covenant of Abraham. There's no law.
12:15There's no ten commandments.
12:18But his conscience revelation of
12:21creation and the subst substitutional
12:24sacrifice
12:25uh offering he understood that this was
12:28passed down by Adam and so Job took this
12:33up.
12:34Okay.
12:36Okay. What's so amazing to me in this
12:39book of Job? It's older than Moses and
12:42Abraham. What's so amazing is that he
12:46gave a scientific explanation
12:49of what causes rain to fall. Now imagine
12:53others probably thought the rain god did
12:57it or the rain dance would bring it
12:59down. They didn't know where the rain
13:02came from. But Job 36:27
13:06says this, "For he maketh small the
13:10drops of water. They pour down rain
13:15according to the vapor thereof.
13:19According to the vapor. That's where we
13:22get the word evaporation.
13:25Hey, I doubt if Job understood what he
13:28was saying. I'm pretty sure he did not
13:31know. But he is putting in a spiritual
13:36principle here to me that cannot be
13:39changed. And Job is saying rain falls
13:43because of a process of evaporation.
13:48Yes, that was one of the things I
13:50learned in school. I might not have
13:53learned a lot, but I did learn how rain
13:56took place. Amen. The sun comes out,
14:00shines over the water. Water begins to
14:04be soaked up by the sun and ascends into
14:08the heavens. and little minuscule
14:12droplets. They attach to pieces of dust
14:16or whatever, maybe to one another and
14:19they make a mixture and form clouds. And
14:23then the wind blows. I know it doesn't
14:26sound spiritual, but hang on. Amen. Then
14:30the wind blows and the clouds bump up
14:33against each other and the friction that
14:37is caused by clouds produces lightning.
14:41Produces lightning. I
14:44ran across this. It's probably not a
14:46revelation,
14:48but it's awfully good. So, I'm going to
14:51share it with you.
14:53What if you there's a field that's been
14:56plowed and cultivated and planted for
15:011,000 years? All the plants that's
15:04planted there
15:07sucks out of the ground pulls out all
15:11these minerals and all of these things.
15:15How does that piece of ground that's
15:17been farmed for 1,000 years, how does it
15:22continue produce? You want to know? Say
15:25yes.
15:27It's by lightning.
15:29Lightning when it begins to shine and
15:33across the sky, it breaks down molecules
15:37in the air and nitrogen and ions and all
15:41of that. They're broken down. So when it
15:45rains actually it's raining nitrogen
15:49which is what a farmer uses as
15:52fertilizer. So God has made this thing
15:55in such a wonderful cycle that it's
15:58going to replenish the earth when
16:01lightning and rain comes. You're looking
16:04at me like I'm not I'm not hitting
16:07anything yet. Amen.
16:11Well, I'm fixing to hit it. All right.
16:15Hallelujah.
16:17So Job is saying about evaporation
16:21causes rain. But then he turns this
16:25thing and makes it a spiritual principle
16:28that cannot be changed. He says rain
16:32falls because of evaporation.
16:36It falls, the wind blows, the clouds
16:39bump each other, lightning comes, it
16:43produces fertilizer,
16:45replenishes the earth, and all of it
16:49starts because of evaporation.
16:53Amen. The scripture said, "The clouds
16:56drop and the steel upon man abundantly."
17:00He's given this concept and then he
17:03makes this statement. He says, "And
17:06also," here comes the spiritual meaning.
17:10He says, "Also can any understand
17:14the spreading of the clouds or the noise
17:20of his," that's God's tabernacle.
17:30Okay.
17:33You're quiet as a church mouse.
17:36And I'm going to let you know something.
17:40God's tabernacle has noise in it.
17:45It's called praise.
17:48It's called worship.
17:51It's called singing.
17:53It's called prayer.
17:56God's tabernacle is full of noise. He
18:00says that when you come to the house of
18:03God, it's not going to be a quiet still
18:07ceremony, ritualistic type of service.
18:11There's going to be movement that's
18:13taking place. There's going to be people
18:16that's got a fire of God. There's going
18:18to be the anointing of the Holy Spirit
18:21of God. God says, "I want my tabernacle
18:25to be full of noise." Hallelujah.
18:29Hallelujah. Clap your hands. Let's
18:32praise him a little bit.
18:35[Applause]
18:40So,
18:42who can understand the spreading of the
18:45clouds?
18:47I've learned that the word vapor here
18:51can be interchanged
18:53with the word
18:56incense
18:58without doing violence to the word of
19:02God.
19:03So when you come to Psalms 141
19:08verses 1 through3
19:11it says Lord
19:13I cry unto thee
19:17Make haste unto me, Lord. Give ear unto
19:21my voice
19:24when I cry unto thee.
19:28Verse two, let my prayer
19:31be set forth before you as incense
19:37and the lifting up of my hands as the
19:40evening sacrifice.
19:43Set a watch, oh Lord, before my mouth.
19:47Keep the door of my lips. Oh. Oh, I know
19:54that's beautiful language, but it's not
19:57just beautiful poetical words that's
20:00there. The word prayer there is a word
20:05that you've got to put into your
20:07vocabulary.
20:08You're not going to use it at the
20:10grocery store. You're not going to use
20:13it there at the office or school. The
20:17word prayer there means tefla tea
20:23which means a hymn type of prayer. Moses
20:27in Psalms 90 it talks about Moses and
20:32his tea prayer. It's a hymn. It's a
20:37prayer that is so deep and so intense
20:41that it goes down deep like where a
20:44composer gets his words to write a song
20:48or where an artist can can get a picture
20:52of what he's going to paint of all of a
20:56poet that can write a beautiful poem
20:59that goes down deep inside. A temple of
21:03prayer is a song prayer. It's a hymn
21:07prayer. If I were to try to copy this
21:11somehow, it would be like Moses singing
21:15this prayer. This temple of prayer, he
21:18would be singing it, oh
21:22God.
21:24Oh, from everlasting to everlasting God.
21:29And he goes on and he sings his prayer
21:33because singing is the language of the
21:37soul of a man.
21:43[Applause]
21:59Hallelujah. Let me calm down here just
22:02for a moment. Bless the Lord. There is
22:05such a thing as silent prayer
22:08where you can't pray out loud.
22:13You can't. But God answers silent
22:15prayers.
22:17working at the bank and I picked up
22:22the owner, one of the largest
22:25car dealers, North Louisiana.
22:29He wanted me to drive him out to his
22:31house.
22:33On our way back,
22:35he's sitting in the front seat in the
22:38passenger side and he says, "Billy,
22:42I see you got your Bible here."
22:46I said, 'Yes, sir. I got one on the back
22:49seat as well.
22:53He said, 'Th that's so good that you
22:56read your Bible. I said, "Yes, sir." And
22:59he told me at that time, he shocked me.
23:04He said, "I just want you to know I
23:05pastor the biggest Baptist church in
23:10this city."
23:12And uh
23:14uhoh,
23:16I'm a brand new convert.
23:19I'm sitting next to the Baptist pastor
23:21of the biggest church in that city.
23:26So
23:27I prayed
23:30under my breath a silent prayer.
23:34I said, "God, I don't even know how to
23:36answer this man. talk to him, but would
23:39you let me know what to say?
23:43I heard a little whisper come to me from
23:46the presence of God.
23:49And the Lord said, "Why don't you just
23:51tell him what happened to you?" I said,
23:54"Oh, that sounds good, Lord. That's
23:55pretty easy." And so I began to tell him
24:00how I got so desperate that I stood up
24:03in the middle of thousands of people and
24:06began to worship God because I wanted to
24:10make sure I was saved. And I said, "You
24:13know what, sir?
24:15I spoke with other tongues.
24:20It poured out of me. I couldn't stop."
24:24Well, he didn't have much to say. It was
24:26my
24:28It was my time to leverage this
24:30situation now,
24:32but it came out of solemn prayer.
24:37Hannah's a great example of praying. Her
24:41lips move, but there was no words that
24:44would come out. And so, we know that God
24:47answers silent prayer. And then the
24:51scripture talks about intercessory
24:53prayer. This of course ah Abraham
24:59the Bible says after he met the angel.
25:03Amen. Other people moved around but the
25:06scripture says Abraham stood yet before
25:09the Lord and interceded for his nephew
25:13Lot to try to keep him and uh to
25:18preserve him from Sodom and Gomor's
25:20destruction.
25:22And then you have the prayer of
25:24petition.
25:26This of course is where you lay out and
25:30petition the Lord as Esther did. She
25:34said, "If I die, I die."
25:37But she says, "We have to have God's
25:40help. I can't make it without God's
25:43help." And so she petitions the Lord in
25:47prayer. Now get this. This is good Bible
25:51study for you. There's the prayer of
25:55supplication,
25:57which means to supply a need. Amen.
26:03And then I know I've talked about silent
26:06prayer, but there's also loud prayer.
26:10And I kind of like loud prayer better
26:12than I like silent prayer. Amen. I pray
26:17every morning at my house. We've had
26:19people living with us. Adrien lived with
26:23us over two years. His room was directly
26:27below my office. He heard me praying
26:32loud
26:33every morning. I told him, I said, "I
26:37should have called your name two or
26:39three times to let you know that I'm I'm
26:42trying to get you saved." Amen.
26:45Hallelujah.
26:47But loud prayers, the devil can hear you
26:51praying loud prayers. And the word, woo,
26:54the word of the Lord coming out of your
26:57mouth. And the devil has to submit
27:01himself to the power of the word of God.
27:06But listen to me, that's not all there
27:09is to it. Because he's not the only one
27:13listening to loud prayer. The Bible
27:16speaks about angels of God. They are
27:20ministering spirits. Listen now. Not to
27:25the heirs of salvation, but for the
27:29heirs of salvation. So that when you get
27:32in trouble, you can open your mouth and
27:35pray these prayers where the word of God
27:38comes out and the devil has to take he
27:41has to he has to take a vacation. But
27:44that attracts angels of God to come to
27:48where you are. Hallelujah. How many
27:52feels the operation of the Holy Ghost
27:55that's in this house right now? Amen.
27:58There's the movement of angels that's
28:01moving in this tabernacle in the name of
28:05Jesus. Come on, let's praise God. Come
28:08on, let's praise the Lord.
28:12[Applause]
28:22Woo. I feel like I need to preach a
28:24little bit.
28:26But there's another prayer.
28:29It's the Tilla prayer.
28:33Tapa if you want to. A hymn prayer.
28:38And it's incense prayer.
28:41It's where
28:43you get so deep in your spirit.
28:49Well, wait. Let me just go get the
28:51Hebrew for incense.
28:54Here's what it says. It's smoke and odor
28:57of a burning sacrifice.
29:01It's the sweet smoke
29:04of sacrifice.
29:06This prayer that I'm talking about and I
29:10am going to talk about it. It's so
29:13intense.
29:15It's like a fire that gets deep into
29:19your spirit and into your soul and your
29:24body and gets so involved
29:29that it turns
29:31into
29:33a song.
29:461 Thessalonians 5:23 says we are body,
29:49soul, and spirit.
29:52We are a tripartite
29:55being.
29:57Now, I can't prove what I'm fixing to
30:00say.
30:02Amen.
30:04But
30:06I have to go back
30:08into Exodus chapter 30. I want to find
30:12out what is the ingredients
30:16of this holy incense.
30:20The scripture says it's stacti
30:23which is a kind of a gum rosin that
30:26comes out of a tree. It's very odorous.
30:30And uh the next thing is on nicha.
30:34I won't describe that because it comes
30:37from the muscles
30:40there in the sea.
30:42And then there is albanum which is
30:46another kind of gum and rosin. Look at
30:49me please.
30:52Nobody could make this
30:55and nobody could use it except in the
30:58tabernacle.
31:00And anybody did, they were killed,
31:04taken out of Israel, the scripture says.
31:07But this was brought together.
31:12These three elements
31:14you've got brought together. And the
31:18scripture says it was compounded
31:21with frankincense
31:23which is a type of Jesus Christ. I won't
31:28go into the details and prove this but I
31:31want you to see what I'm saying is that
31:34somehow
31:36prayer that I'm preaching about templa
31:39prayers can become so so deep and so
31:45intense
31:47it can take a part of my soul.
31:51It can take a part of my spirit. It can
31:54take a part of my body
31:57and it gets me mixed with the presence
32:02of the almighty God and there's a smoke
32:07and there's a fire that comes out. This
32:10is what I'm preaching about clouds that
32:14can form because of the vapor of your
32:19incense prayers that can go up. And when
32:23you go and let them go up, the scripture
32:26talks about how it's a cloud. It forms a
32:30cloud. Brothers and sisters, I'm not
32:32going to let you get away with this. I'm
32:35not going to let you walk out of here.
32:37The reason why there is power in this
32:40church right now is because somebody has
32:44been praying. Somebody's got some clouds
32:48over the top of this church. If you want
32:51if you want your family to be blessed,
32:55showers of blessing to come upon your
32:57home, how you going to have them if you
33:00don't have clouds that comes over your
33:03house? Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
33:06Hallelujah. Let's praise him, somebody.
33:09[Applause]
33:23First Thessalonians 5:23,
33:26the bearer God of peace sanctify you
33:28holy,
33:30and I pray God, your whole spirit,
33:33your soul,
33:36your body be preserved blameless until
33:38the coming of the Lord.
33:41Okay, look at me, please.
33:49I'm putting a line right
33:52a line right across here.
33:55On this side
33:58is my body.
34:00My body
34:02connects to the world through the five
34:06senses.
34:07Touch, smell, sight, and whatever else,
34:12taste.
34:13and so on.
34:18Look at me, please.
34:20If all I do is walk after this flesh and
34:24this body,
34:26I'm going to go to hell. That's right.
34:29That's in the Bible.
34:32Okay.
34:34Then you've got
34:36on this side of the line,
34:39you've got the spirit.
34:42My spirit,
34:44my spirit connects to God's spirit
34:48and so
34:50I can have contact and connection with
34:54God.
34:57Okay?
34:59And this is the soul in the middle of
35:02both of them.
35:04The soul, what should it profit a man if
35:08he gains the whole world and lose his
35:12own soul?
35:14The soul is the real you. What you're
35:17looking at today is not the real Billy
35:20Hail. What you're looking at is the body
35:25that you see, but the real me is my
35:30soul.
35:31and my soul, listen, can be influenced
35:35so easily with my body and flesh.
35:40That's why, pastor, if you'll let me
35:42pastor a moment, that's why people don't
35:45like to come to church
35:47is because their body says, "You're just
35:50too tired."
35:52And they'll lean in this direction right
35:55here.
35:56I used to work late when I was working
35:58at the bank. But to prove to the devil
36:02my my loyalty was God. It didn't matter
36:05how long I had to work, I would show up
36:08to church, if it was just when they were
36:11fellowshipping and everybody said,
36:13"Amen." Because I want the devil to know
36:16I'm in love with Jesus. I'm not going to
36:20let this flesh
36:22I'm not going to let this flesh destroy
36:24my soul. Do you hear me? I'm not going
36:27to be lost in the end. I've come to a
36:31I've come a long way on this journey of
36:33life. I don't intend to let my flesh get
36:36to the place where my old age and
36:39weakness wants to keep me from lifting
36:41my hands or worshiping God. Or I'll
36:45shout every once in a while just to let
36:47the devil know I still got it. I still
36:51got the power of God
36:54in the name of Jesus.
36:57And so
36:59your soul
37:01sometimes acts like a drunk man. It'll
37:05stagger toward the things of God and
37:09then after a while it'll stagger to the
37:13things of the flesh. Incarnality.
37:16My job is to keep this soul on this
37:21side.
37:23Amen. Close to the spirit where I can
37:26love God and I can talk to God. I'm
37:29preaching here today. I'm trying to get
37:32you to see there is a prayer that can
37:35get deeper than coming out of your lips.
37:39There is a prayer that can co up your
37:42body, soul, and spirit mixed in with the
37:46frankincense of the presence of almighty
37:49God, and it creates a great odor of
37:53smoke and fire. That's why you can pray
37:56a fiery prayer. It's because you've got
38:00every bit of you, Amen, involved.
38:05So,
38:08okay, I'm moving on.
38:11The Jews believe this so much that
38:15that's why they move when they pray. You
38:18go to the whailing wall, you'll see them
38:22swaying and praying or they just praying
38:27and moving. It's because they want their
38:30body, soul, and spirit sold out. I don't
38:34know if I'm getting this across to you,
38:36but there's some people in this room
38:38today that can't stand to be without the
38:42power of the presence of God that is
38:46prophesied and that is promised to you
38:49and I.
38:53I've been to churches.
38:56There was one church and I can't really
38:58go into this. I heard this church
39:02had nobody pray through in this church
39:05for 16 years.
39:07Why is that?
39:11There was no there was no rain. There
39:14was no clouds. I've preached in churches
39:17that were so dead. I'm talking about
39:18Pentecostal churches. No rain, no wind,
39:23no miracles, no people being delivered,
39:27children leaving home, walking away from
39:30God, marriages in trouble, finances in
39:34trouble, people not wanting to pay their
39:36tithes, and the reason why there was no
39:40clouds over their home, there was no
39:43clouds over their family. Hallelujah.
39:47You say, "Brother Hail, I don't know
39:49what to say when I try to pray." I've
39:53got good news for you. You don't have to
39:56know what to say. You all you can need
39:58to do is learn how to cry, how to groan,
40:03how to quote Bible scripture, how to
40:05reach out and just say, "Lord, I don't
40:08know how to pray, but I want to pray so
40:11badly." And God will start moving inside
40:15of your soul. And there will be results
40:18that will come out of you, my friend,
40:21that would shock you. I had I had a one
40:24of my revivals in Colombia, Louisiana.
40:28We had preached and this was a home
40:31missions church.
40:33They didn't even have the walls
40:35finished, no drywall on the walls, no
40:39platform built yet. And we had we had a
40:43move of God in that church. Oh my. But I
40:46had to get the church praying. I had to
40:49get them praying. And so,
40:53uh, this wonderful lady and her son,
40:56teenage son, was in the church. Her
40:59husband was not in church. And so, he'd
41:03come in at the end of service and
41:06fellowship with everybody. He knew
41:08everybody. Well, I caught him one day
41:11right here in the aisle. Put my arm
41:13around him. I said, I called his name. I
41:16said, "When are you going to get this?"
41:20He said, "Well, Brother Hail, I don't
41:22even know how to pray." I said, "Okay,
41:26that's fine. Are you going to do what
41:28I'm going to tell you to do?" "Yes, sir,
41:30I will." I said, "Tomorrow night when we
41:33give an altar call, I don't care what
41:36you feel or don't feel. I want you to
41:38get up out of your chair. I want you to
41:41come up and I just want you to kneel at
41:44the altar. That's all I'm asking you to
41:46do. And so the next night, sure enough,
41:51I gave the altar call and here he came.
41:55He got there to the altar. When he
41:58touched the altar, tears started running
42:01down his cheeks and he got to crying. He
42:05cried and he hollered and he prayed. He
42:10didn't know how to pray, but he prayed.
42:13He prayed so loud and so long he lost
42:17his voice. He only could talk in a
42:20whisper after it was over with. We got
42:24baptized him. Took him to another church
42:27where they had a baptistry. Baptized him
42:29in the wonderful name that the only
42:32name. Don't come here telling me baptism
42:35is not essential. Don't tell him it's
42:38not necessary.
42:40Oh, we baptized him in the name of Jesus
42:45Christ. He came up out of that water and
42:49his voice came immediately to him. I
42:53mean, he got healing in his voice and
42:56the first thing he did was speak in
42:59other tongues. as the spirit of God
43:02gives the utterance. How many believes
43:05what I'm telling you right now? How many
43:08believes that the power of prayer? Amen.
43:12I'm talking about deep prayer, intense
43:15prayer, hymn prayer, song prayer,
43:18singing unto God in prayer in the name
43:22of Jesus.
43:25[Applause]
43:33Churches that pray,
43:36I want you to expect miracles.
43:41I'm going to have to have somebody say,
43:43"Preach on, Brother Hail."
43:47You That wasn't loud enough.
43:52They're calling for me to keep
43:53preaching.
43:55Okay.
43:57Churches that pray,
44:00supernatural things happens. I heard
44:03prayer was already called for this
44:06coming Friday. Hallelujah.
44:10I took a church in Oklahoma.
44:13It was it was wonderful people that were
44:15there. Uh they were awesome. I wished I
44:19could describe how sweet they were. Now,
44:22I wasn't sweet.
44:25because I just come off the evangelistic
44:27field and I felt like everybody had to
44:30be serving God a thousand%.
44:34I couldn't stand to see any of you
44:36sitting on these pews very long cuz I
44:40would call you out and have you just
44:42jump up and do a little Holy Ghost dance
44:44right where you are.
44:46Well, these didn't move, but they was
44:49precious.
44:50And the reason why is because they had
44:53been trained and taught that if you got
44:57too demonstrative in your worship, that
45:00was wildfire.
45:02And so I'm preaching up a storm. I'm
45:07preaching Pentecost at any cost.
45:11I'm running back and forth across this
45:13pull pit, jumping up in the air, and I'm
45:16just screaming.
45:18They just sitting there, tears running
45:21down their face
45:23because they've been taught not to not
45:26to get in the flesh.
45:28Well, I don't want you to get in a
45:30spooky position. Amen. Just keep your
45:34flesh and dance a little bit. That's all
45:36I'm asking.
45:38So,
45:40I made a statement.
45:42I didn't know what I was saying.
45:45I said, "Some of you in this church will
45:49not believe in miracles
45:52until you actually see a miracle take
45:54place."
45:58Two weeks later, I believe it was,
46:01my wife came up to where I was working
46:03on the church.
46:05Our youngest daughter, Lori, was two
46:08years old.
46:10And she got ready to leave. Lori wanted
46:14to stay with daddy
46:16and of course you couldn't do that. And
46:20that was back before seat belts,
46:25child carriers
46:28where you have to strap them in.
46:31So Lori
46:33stands up on the front seat. My wife
46:37pulls out on the road and when she
46:40turns,
46:41Lori opens the passenger door
46:45and fell on the pavement underneath the
46:48tires
46:50of that big Buick.
46:54We could see the tire marks
46:57from right here, across her shoulder,
47:01down her back, down her hip, where the
47:04tread of the tire
47:07uh produced those blood blisters and her
47:10little body was so twisted and broken,
47:14blood everywhere.
47:16My wife scooped her up off the pavement.
47:20I ran and grabbed my little baby. I
47:24said, "Brenda, get her to the hospital.
47:27You'll have to drive." The hospital was
47:29within sight about two blocks from the
47:32church. And so, we were able to get her
47:35there. But her body was so broken and
47:38twisted and blooded and swelling in her
47:42face where she had hit the pavement. A
47:45woman behind ran up said, "I saw it all.
47:49I saw it all. I thought it was a little
47:51doll that fell out and they followed us
47:54up to the hospital."
47:57We got in there and I said, "Get on the
48:00phone and call our church.
48:04Tell them we've got to have a miracle.
48:06You're going to have to pray strong
48:09prayers and a miracle."
48:11And so they finally the doctor shows up
48:16and they take my little girl and try to
48:19put her down on the X-ray table, but she
48:23was so twisted and broken that they
48:27could not even put her down all the way
48:30on that X-ray table.
48:34They gave her back to me and I walked
48:36the aisles and halls praying, crying,
48:41seeking God, the church praying, my wife
48:44praying. And about 15 to 20 minutes
48:49later, the doctor came and got me. And I
48:53prepared for the worst. We didn't even
48:56know she was going to live. And he
48:59stares at me. I can still see him now
49:04looking at me and kind of turning his
49:06head to one side and he said, "Reverend,
49:11it must be just good, clean living.
49:14There's not one broken bone in your
49:16baby's body.
49:18Not one broken bone
49:21in your baby's body."
49:28But I'm trying to get this church to see
49:30something. You're not going to have
49:33apostolic revival without apostolic
49:37prayer.
49:38You're not going to have the move of God
49:41without prayer. I don't care how
49:44religious you are. If you're not a
49:47praying person, you're not going to have
49:49a cloud that's going to be over you
49:53where there's going to be latter rain
49:56that's going to fall. If you want your
49:59children to hang around the church, you
50:03need to learn how to pray tefla prayers
50:07for your home that comes out of your
50:10innermost being where the presence
50:15where the presence of Jesus Christ mix
50:18in and compound your body, soul, and
50:22spirit. Amen. And there's something
50:25that's going to rain back down. Amen.
50:28And you're going to have showers and
50:31power of the blessings of the almighty
50:34God
50:36in Jesus name.
50:41We picked up a man. We picked up
50:44children. My wife did bus ministry and
50:49we tried to get this man to go to go
50:52with us. His name was Doug. We tried to
50:55get him to go to church. Well, Doug was
50:59an alcoholic evidently. Um,
51:03and uh, he wouldn't come. So, what he
51:07does, he goes to the church across town
51:11that believes in more than one God in
51:13the Godhead.
51:15And so it was a little tepid for him so
51:19he wouldn't have to be challenged by the
51:22apostolic church.
51:25Well, evidently the pastor over there
51:29could not cast those demon spirits out
51:31of Doug
51:33and so he brings him to our revival.
51:36Now, our church at that time, it was a
51:40small town, so people could come to
51:42church early and go to the prayer rooms.
51:45And that's where our church service
51:47started was in prayer rooms. And when
51:50they poured out of the prayer rooms,
51:53they were white hot in the presence of
51:56the almighty God. Hallelujah.
51:59Hallelujah. They didn't stagger in late.
52:02They came in and prayed first of all and
52:05they got in touch with God. So when
52:07church started, Amen. It started with a
52:10bang. Hallelujah.
52:13So I come out of my office and it's
52:16about 10 minutes before church starts
52:19and I see Doug sitting with the pastor
52:22of that church and I go over to shake
52:25his hand. And when I did, demon spirits
52:29rose up in him and he began to go into
52:32convulsions and shake so violently you
52:37couldn't hold him down. It was just
52:38terrible. But it was those demon spirits
52:41that was there. And next to him was the
52:44pastor of that church. And so when I
52:48realized what happened, I tried to cast
52:50those spirits out. And I couldn't really
52:53get them all out of him. We've got
52:56people around us. This is no singing, no
52:59offering, no anything. This started
53:01right before his church. And all of this
53:05operation of the gifts of God began to
53:07move. And finally, I got a little word
53:12of wisdom from God. And I said, I said,
53:17Doug,
53:18say Jesus. He couldn't say Jesus. See
53:21what I said, I command you to say Jesus.
53:26The devil will the devil has to back
53:29away from authority. That's why a lot of
53:32in the church until you get desperate
53:35with God, you don't speak to the devil
53:37with authority anymore. You plead with
53:40God to take care of the devil and God
53:43says, "I'm not." You going to have to
53:45take care of the devil. You're going to
53:47have to tell him to get his hand off the
53:49children. You're going to have to tell
53:51him to get his hand. That's right.
53:54That's right. In the name of Jesus.
53:58And I said, "Say Jesus." And he tried.
54:01He couldn't hardly get it out. And I
54:04don't know if I slapped him or not. I
54:05don't know.
54:07I could have
54:10say Jesus, I said. Anyway, he finally
54:15got out. G Jesus.
54:18I said, "Now say Jesus is the mighty
54:21God."
54:23He couldn't get it out. The devil would
54:25choke him. I said, "Say, Jesus is the
54:29mighty God." By this time, the pastor of
54:32the church was standing looking down
54:35like this right here. What was going to
54:38happen? And when Doug finally got it
54:41out, Jesus is a mighty God. And the next
54:46thing he spoke was speaking in tongues
54:50as the spirit of God gave the utterance.
54:53You want to know why? It's the power of
54:57tefla prayer. It's the power of tefla
55:01prayer. It's the power of revival and
55:06apostolic prayer. Come on, lift your
55:08hands and let's praise him.
55:25Hallelujah.
55:27Woo.
55:29That's why we sing when we come to
55:31church.
55:33That's why we praise and honor God and
55:36give God glory when we come to church.
55:39You want to know why? Because we want
55:42the wind blowing.
55:44The clouds that we've done brought up,
55:47let the wind start blowing the clouds.
55:50Amen. The Bible says the wind, God has
55:54the wind coming out of his treasury.
55:57Coming out of his treasury. Oh my Lord
56:01and my God. I'm talking to an apostolic
56:04church. Don't tell me things are going
56:08to get darker and darker. They may. And
56:11there's people that believes that. And
56:13there's dead churches that'll back it
56:15up. But you don't what they're doing.
56:18They're trying to operate without the
56:20Holy Spirit of God. We operate by the
56:24operation of the gifts of God through
56:27the power of the Holy Ghost. And the way
56:30you get that power, you cry out to God
56:34and come from your innermost being. I
56:36want God.
56:39[Applause]
56:46Hallelujah.
56:50Okay.
56:53In closing,
57:03Acts 12 verse one and following.
57:06Now folks, this is the book of Acts.
57:09This is the Acts of the Apostles.
57:13This is not Old Testament.
57:15This is the early church. I happen to
57:19believe that this church right here has
57:21got a lot of end time
57:25church history
57:27wrapped up in this house that you
57:29believe like I believe there's coming a
57:33book of Acts move. If I read it right,
57:37in the book of James, it talks about the
57:39early rain, but also it says the latter
57:43rain. The latter rain's coming. The
57:47early rain was for the planting and all
57:50of that, but a latter rain is for the
57:53harvest. I don't know what you feel, but
57:57here's what I feel. This is what I'm
57:59trying to pour into young preachers.
58:02Everywhere I go, you're going to see
58:04things. Brother Hail may not get to see
58:07them. I don't know. I hope I do. But
58:10you're going to see things that the Lord
58:12terrorists where it's going to be the
58:15book of Acts is going to start happening
58:18and people are going to be swept into
58:21the kingdom because somebody believes
58:25what this old preacher is preaching.
58:27that prayer still brings about apostolic
58:32revival, apostolic prayer in the name of
58:37Jesus.
58:39[Applause]
58:44Now about that time, Herod the king
58:47stretched forth his hands to vex certain
58:49of the church and he killed James the
58:53brother of John with the sword.
58:56And because he saw it pleased the Jews,
58:59he proceeded further to take Peter also.
59:02Then were the days of unleavened bread.
59:07And when he had apprehended him, that's
59:10Peter,
59:11he put him in prison and delivered him
59:15to four quartians
59:18of soldiers to keep him, intending after
59:22Easter to bring him forth to the people.
59:27Peter therefore
59:29was kept in prison.
59:35But Tefla,
59:39but prayer was made
59:42without ceasing
59:45of the church unto God for him.
59:50The prayer group was not very large.
59:53They were in the house of John Mark's
59:55mother.
59:57So probably
59:5920
60:0120 people coming together
60:04and praying
60:06movement
60:09body
60:11soul
60:13spirit
60:15incense
60:18cloud rising prayer.
60:23Somebody says, "Brother Hail, I do my
60:25praying in the shower."
60:28Well, that's okay.
60:31But that's not what I'm preaching.
60:34That's meditation.
60:37Well, I when I'm exercising,
60:40I do my praying when I'm exercising,
60:42walking. That's good.
60:46That's medi meditation.
60:49Amen. I started saying medication.
60:56Amen.
60:58Oh, brother hell. When I'm walking the
61:00dog, I put on my little earbuds and I
61:03listen to music and pray.
61:07It's not going to move the enemy.
61:10That's good. It's good meditation, but
61:14it's not going to move the enemy and
61:16promise victory.
61:19What's going to give victory?
61:21Apostolic power and anointing
61:25is going to come because of apostolic
61:29praying.
61:32Somebody say, "Preach on just a little
61:34bit."
61:38If you will give me the slide, please.
61:43This, of course, is the metal man that
61:47you will find in the book of Daniel. the
61:49dream Nebuchadnezzar had and Daniel had
61:53to interpret the dream.
61:56And of course what he what he did
62:00he began to show King Nebuchadnezzar,
62:06"Oh king, what you saw is the five
62:10empires,
62:11the gentile empires
62:14that
62:16are going to be in the world. There's
62:19other empires, but not a world empire.
62:23Uh there was Nimrod but it was not a
62:25world empire. The first one was the head
62:29of gold which is Babylon. That lasted
62:32about 70 years. And uh
62:37he said thou, oh king, art the head of
62:40gold.
62:41And then of course the breast of silver
62:45was the next empire that come on the
62:48scene and that was the breast of silver
62:52or Persia. It lasted about 1305
62:57years. And then Greece the brass kingdom
63:02it lasted about 160 years I think.
63:06And then
63:08Rome, the legs of iron.
63:12Rome was so powerful militarily,
63:16nobody could stay uh and come against
63:19Rome because they were so powerful
63:23militarily.
63:24And then he saw, of course, in the
63:28bottom part of this, he saw feet
63:33mixed in with iron and clay.
63:36Now listen to me. The iron is still
63:39Rome.
63:41It's the revived Roman Empire. It's
63:45coming back. The filth and the
63:49unmentionable stuff that Rome was. We
63:53are seeing some of it taking place right
63:55now. Neero,
63:58uh, the Caesar married a little teenage
64:02boy and dressed him up as a little girl.
64:06All that kind of business, all of that
64:09is coming back. Now, where are we in
64:13prophecy? We're definitely right here.
64:16We're definitely in the feet. Amen.
64:21So, the last time, leave that up there
64:24for me, please. The last time that this
64:29metal man spoke, that these empires
64:34spoke was 476 AD.
64:38476 AD.
64:41Rome collapsed.
64:44And when it collapsed, of course, there
64:47was no more voice that came from this
64:50image
64:52until 1500.
64:55and 44 years later.
64:58And it spoke.
65:00It spoke
65:02in 2020.
65:05How close are we coming
65:08or how close are we to the coming of the
65:11Lord Jesus Christ?
65:14The reason I'm preaching like I'm
65:15preaching is because I happen to believe
65:20the only power that's going to overcome
65:25the Antichrist spirit in the time of the
65:29end is the power
65:32of prayer.
65:35When this voice spoke in 2020,
65:40oh yes it did. Every nation stopped and
65:44obeyed.
65:46Every island obeyed.
65:49Every country, every city,
65:52every town,
65:55every rural place
65:58obeyed the voice when it spoke.
66:02Just play a little bit, sister.
66:06I feel like speaking in tongues.
66:09I feel like prophecy in this church.
66:13Revelation 18:23
66:16talking about that great city that the
66:20mother of harlots
66:22controls.
66:24She's a mother of harlots because her
66:27daughters
66:29are harlots. The Bible describes this as
66:32a religious system.
66:35And the reason she's the great
66:38the Bible says, is because she's got so
66:41many lovers.
66:43She she could care less what the
66:46doctrines are that all roads would lead
66:50to heaven. And this is of course what
66:54she would propagate.
66:57I met this woman in in a dream in 1976.
67:02I don't want to get on that, but I
67:04wished I could because God let me know
67:09what's fixing to happen.
67:11Let's look at Revelation 18:23.
67:15And the light
67:17of a candle,
67:19not the candle, a candle.
67:23That candle, my friend, is the truth.
67:27The light of a candle shall shine no
67:32more at all in thee. Never will hear the
67:36truth.
67:38The voice of the bridegroom, that would
67:41be Jesus Christ.
67:44And the voice of the bride that would be
67:47the triumphant church that I'm a part
67:51of,
67:53he says,
67:55will be heard no more at all in thee.
68:00To me is tragic.
68:02No witness
68:04to this church or this religious system.
68:08There's no truth that will shine.
68:10There's no voice of the bridegroom.
68:13But listen,
68:16for your merchants were great men of the
68:19earth.
68:21For by your sorceries
68:25were all nations deceived.
68:29That word sorcery,
68:31you better get this,
68:34is pharmaci.
68:36It means drugs
68:39for medication.
68:42The voice that spoke in 2020.
68:46No, I got to have my I got to have my
68:49metal man, please.
68:52The voice that spoke
68:551544
68:57years
68:59since Rome,
69:01the iron legs
69:03when they collapsed. And now
69:07we entered in 2020.
69:11We enter the feet
69:13of this
69:15metal man.
69:18And the scripture says
69:20the way it came
69:23was through sorcery,
69:26pharmarmacaya
69:28where we get the word pharmacy
69:32medicine.
69:34What happened is the World Health
69:38Organization
69:40spoke.
69:42Don't get me wrong,
69:44I don't know if it was the Antichrist
69:46voice or not. All I know is it was a
69:51trial run.
69:54It was a trial run to see if the world
69:59would obey.
70:01And it did.
70:03That voice closed down churches.
70:07Our church that's celebrating 50 years
70:10right this year. Our church that has
70:13baptized thousands of people and prayed
70:17through multitudes of people and cast
70:21out many demon spirits
70:24and and and and prayed through so many
70:27people was closed down and we had to
70:32obey the voice
70:34of this metal man
70:37because they were going to shut us down.
70:40I thank God right now. I'm talking to
70:43people in this room.
70:46God's raising you up.
70:49Young people, look at me. Look at the
70:51old man. God's raising you up. You're
70:55going to be a warrior of prayer
70:59in this time of the end.
71:02And there's going to be a manifestation
71:05of the gifts of the spirit. And people
71:09are going to see multitudes swept into
71:12the kingdom of God. How many wants to be
71:16a part of what God is doing?
71:21I just want to tell you how close we
71:23are.
71:24I've got American passport that can take
71:27me all over the world. But folks, I've
71:31got another passport. I'm a resident of
71:35another country. I have a passport
71:38written in blood. It's how I'm going to
71:41get out of this place. In the name of
71:44Jesus,
71:45[Applause]
71:52I want about eight or 10 people
71:56that are prayer warriors, Jesus. Jesus
71:59that believe they can be used of God
72:02today to come stand in front of this
72:05pull pit and give me a helping hand.
72:11Come right on. Just stand in front of
72:12the altar area. Stand in the altar area
72:16and face the congregation.
72:19Listen to me everybody.
72:25In this hour,
72:28God's got apostolic prayer warriors.
72:33They're able to send angels on
72:36assignment. Yes, Jesus. Amen.
72:41Because here's what happened in the book
72:43of Acts.
72:45It says, "When they prayed, a light
72:49shined into the inner prison.
72:52An angel came." Brother Elms,
72:56when they did what?
72:58When they prayed,
73:01an angel showed up to get and put a
73:05light in that inner prison and they kept
73:08praying. That's what I'm telling this
73:11church. Don't stop. Don't stop. Your
73:14kids may not be anywhere near what you
73:16want them to be, but don't stop praying.
73:19I'm telling you right now, I want the
73:20devil to get his nasty hands off of
73:23children that have not not stayed, but
73:26but they're going to come back. They're
73:28coming back in the name of Jesus. I
73:31believe it.
73:33Hallelujah.
73:35Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
73:38And then the Bible says when the light
73:41began to shine into the prison, the
73:45prayer kept going and then chains fell
73:48off. Chains fell off. Come on now. Pray.
73:54And when they kept praying, the
73:57scripture says the first door opened.
74:00Amen.
74:02And the angel said, "Get your clothes
74:03on, son. Come on. We fixing to go
74:06somewhere. Hallelujah. Oh, I feel in
74:09this church.
74:11This church is fixing to get into a
74:13prayer place. Brother Elms, you're going
74:16to see miracles. Amen. There's going to
74:19be children that have been so far away.
74:23Something's going to tell them, "Get out
74:25of that hog pin. Come on back. Come on
74:29back." Because mama and daddy knows how
74:33to talk to God with TEFL of praying.
74:37Hallelujah.
74:38Hallelujah.
74:40And then the second door opens. And then
74:43the the Bible says the iron gate open.
74:48That tells me the supernatural
74:51is going to take place and there's going
74:55to be something happen. I believe in
74:57this city. in this city.
75:01In your neighborhood,
75:04in your home, get on your feet.
75:07Stand. Everybody
75:09stand and lift your hands toward God and
75:13tell the Lord, "Count me in, Lord.
75:16Count me in
75:18in the name of Jesus.
75:22[Music]
75:24Heat.
75:28[Music]
75:29[Applause]
75:35[Music]
