0:00>> For the next few minutes today, I want
0:02to talk to you
0:05about where faith meets reality.
0:09And I'll take you to the book of Mark,
0:11chapter nine.
0:13This morning when I preached, I read a
0:17lot of Bible reading. I'll try to cut it
0:20a little short for time's sake.
0:23Mark chapter 9 verse 2 and following.
0:29And after six days, Jesus takes with him
0:32Peter, James, and John.
0:35leads them up into a high mountain apart
0:39by themselves.
0:41He was transfigured before them.
0:45His reignment became shining,
0:48exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller
0:51on earth could white them,
0:54and there appeared unto them Elias with
0:57Moses. And there they were talking with
1:00Jesus.
1:01And Peter answered and said to Jesus,
1:04"Master,
1:05it's good for us to be here. Let us make
1:09three tabernacles."
1:11Verse six, for he whis not what to say,
1:15for they were so afraid.
1:19So I'm going to skip down now to the
1:2314th verse.
1:25This is the same chapter.
1:29same chapter. And when he came to his
1:32disciples, this is after the
1:36mountaintop, he saw a great multitude
1:40about them, and scribes questioned them,
1:44and straightway all the people when they
1:46beheld him were greatly amazed,
1:49run to him, and saluted him. And he
1:52asked the scribes, "What question you
1:54with them?"
1:56One of the multitude answered and said,
1:58"Master,
2:00I brought thee my son which hath a dumb
2:03spirit,
2:04and whethersoever he taketh him, he
2:07tears him, and he foamth and nasheth
2:10with his teeth, and pines away." And I
2:13spoke to thy disciples that they should
2:15cast him out, and they could not.
2:19He answered him and said, "Oh faithless
2:22generation, how long shall I be with
2:24you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring
2:28him to me." And he brought him to him.
2:32When he saw him, straightway the spirit
2:34tear him. He fell on the ground
2:37wallowing and wallowed foaming. And he
2:40asked his father, "How long is it ago
2:43since this came unto him?" He said, "Of
2:45a child."
2:47And often times it casts them into the
2:50fire water destroy
2:53to destroy him. So if thou canst do
2:56anything, have compassion on us and help
2:59us. And Jesus said unto him, if thou
3:02can't believe, all things are possible
3:05to him that believe. And straightway the
3:09father of the child cried out and said
3:12with tears, Lord, I believe. Help thou
3:17mine
3:18unbelief. God bless you. You may be
3:20seated.
3:25The scripture goes on and talks about
3:29how Jesus cast the spirit out and the
3:33boy was delivered.
3:36And then he went to a place privately
3:41with his disciples and they came to him
3:45and said,"Lord,
3:47why could we not do that?" The reason
3:52that they did this, no doubt, was
3:54because at one time or another,
3:58the Lord had put power in these nine
4:03that were left.
4:05At one time they had been given power to
4:09cast out spirits. Jesus sent them in by
4:13twos out
4:15>> and they were able to cast spirits out
4:18but they came to this particular kind of
4:21situation
4:22and they could not do it.
4:26Jesus said this kind can come come forth
4:29by nothing but by prayer and fasting.
4:34So the next little while I want to talk
4:37about when faith meets reality.
4:41Some time ago I picked up on some of the
4:44old
4:46uh pieces of literature and articles
4:50that I used to con I used to save just
4:53for sermons. And one of them was the 10
4:58most impressive words in the English
5:01language.
5:04The most bitter word they said is the
5:06word alone.
5:09The most reverent word is the word
5:12mother.
5:14The most tragic word is the word death.
5:18The most beautiful word is the word
5:21love. The most cruel word is the word
5:26revenge.
5:28The most peaceful word is the word
5:31tranquil.
5:33The saddest word in the English language
5:37is the word forgotten.
5:40The warmest word is the word friendship.
5:45The coldest word is the word no.
5:50But the one that brings the most
5:52comfort, they said, is the word faith.
5:56Faith,
5:58where faith
6:00meets reality.
6:03>> The Bible's definition of faith is
6:05Hebrews 11:1.
6:08Now, faith is the substance.
6:11>> You've got to get this. Faith is a
6:14substance.
6:16It's a substance
6:18of things hoped for.
6:22>> So faith has to be built upon hope.
6:26>> You cannot lose hope or you lose faith.
6:31>> You've got to have hope. That means I
6:33never quit.
6:35>> That means it means I never throw in the
6:38towel and surrender. I'm going to have
6:41hope. I don't care what the situation
6:43is. I'm going to hold on to hope.
6:47>> Amen. As long as I've got hope, I've got
6:50faith.
6:51>> How many knows that the Lord right now
6:54when you come to the house of God, it's
6:57more than just hearing beautiful music.
7:00>> It's more than just showing up and
7:02chalking up that I came to church. You
7:06walked in this place because there's
7:08hope that I'm going to touch the great
7:11God of glory and the supernatural power
7:14of the presence of God. Clap your hands
7:17and let's praise him together.
7:21Hope
7:23soul.
7:26So faith is a union
7:29of assurance and conviction.
7:33the counting or reckoning of a thing
7:36desired as though it's already done.
7:41>> The book of Romans 4:17 says, "And it is
7:44written, I have made thee a father of
7:47many nations," speaking of Abraham,
7:51before him whom he believed,
7:54even God, now listen, even God who
7:58quickened or made alive the dead.
8:02God's attribute is faith.
8:05>> He said, "Even God who quickenth the
8:09dead and calleth those things which be
8:13not as though they were."
8:16>> So God's attribute, one of them is he's
8:20a god of faith.
8:22>> When you manifest faith, you manifest a
8:26part of God's attributes. Oh, I want to
8:30preach, but I've got to do a little
8:32teaching. So, when you look in the text
8:35that I just talked to you about, it's uh
8:38two different stories. It's a it's the
8:41story of a a mountaintop
8:45experience. How would you like to walk
8:48on the mountaintop? And all of a sudden,
8:52Jesus appears in this wonderful,
8:55glorious
8:57uh transformed situation.
9:00Lord, I don't know what I would do in
9:02that situation. But then it tells the
9:06second story and this of course is at
9:10the bottom of the mountain is a valley
9:14and it's a low place and this is where
9:17demon possessions is. This is where
9:20there is operations of demonic spirits.
9:25This is where frustrated people are.
9:28This is where you walk among people that
9:32are so cast down. And so you've got
9:35these low low places and you've got
9:38these high high places. Now, where you
9:41and I really live and reality is
9:45somewhere between the mountaintop and in
9:48the lowest part of the valley. I I I
9:52just thought just a few moments ago, one
9:55of the lowest place in my ministry, one
9:58of the lowest times that I believe I
10:00have ever had was in 1992.
10:05I can't take up a lot of time here and I
10:08won't, but it was someone that we
10:11brought into our home and someone that
10:15we put in leadership position in our
10:18church. And it was a person that I went
10:21strictly on the strength of someone
10:24else. And it was this young lady's
10:27pastor that said, "Oh, Brother Hail, I
10:30think she would she would it would do
10:32her so much good to be a part of your
10:35church." Yes, it probably would,
10:38brother, but you shouldn't you should
10:40have told me she was a pathological
10:43liar. Amen. So, I'm not going in detail
10:47on it, but she was our choir leader, our
10:50musician, and she lived in my home. Now,
10:55she was a single girl and she she uh she
10:59was about 27 years old. She was very
11:03pretty and she was not married. She
11:05didn't have a boyfriend. And she saw the
11:09beautiful wedding pictures of my
11:12daughter Lori and and Danny. And
11:16evidently something raised up in her of
11:19envy. and and she started filtering in
11:24among our church and telling
11:27unbelievable lies. I can't get off on
11:30this, so quit pushing in that direction.
11:34Amen.
11:36But but she would go among the people
11:39and said, "You know, the hales can't
11:40stand your singing." And then she'd go
11:43to some others and she said, "I live in
11:46the home and they're screaming all the
11:48time in that home.
11:50I told somebody later, I said, "Not
11:53screaming all the time.
11:58There's no screaming. There was no
12:00screaming in our house. She just was
12:03lying through her teeth." And but
12:05anyway, she was demon demonized to me. I
12:11didn't know this. It was a shock. Two
12:13months. Two months. and and and when
12:17this thing came out, I mean, even the
12:21some of the most influential people in
12:22our church said, "This don't sound like
12:24the hells, but she lives there." Well, I
12:27had given her any it was just cards,
12:32whatever she wanted. She wanted to set
12:35her own hours, that's fine with me. She
12:38could use my cars and everything else.
12:40But to us, she was such a pleasant young
12:43lady. and uh but behind our back she was
12:48creating these unbelievable problems.
12:50Now look this I'm talking about the
12:53lowest of my ministry. One of the lowest
12:55times I can remember. So uh when it was
13:00revealed what had happened and she moved
13:02out after two months two months and
13:06moved in with some people in the church
13:08they sheltered and protected her. Amen.
13:12I want it to go, but I've got an old
13:16nature that if I ever let that nature
13:18go, it's not a good situation.
13:22And so I didn't I didn't go confront it
13:24like I wanted to. Long story short,
13:29uh it got so bad and with me, I had
13:33never had the challenge like that in my
13:36ministry. And I just uh I thought, Lord,
13:40evidently you're trying to tell me
13:42something. Even though we have seen
13:45incredible growth in this church, I'm
13:48ready to go wherever you want me to go.
13:51I I told my wife, I said, "I'm I'm
13:54leaving today. I don't know when I'll
13:56come back. I don't know what day I'll
13:58come back on, but I'm going to the
14:01church, and I'm going to stay in my
14:03office until I hear from God. I don't
14:06care how long it's going to take, day or
14:08night, it doesn't matter. And I did. I
14:11went to my office, took the cushion out
14:13of one of those chairs, and for hours I
14:16sat there and cried, just weeping. Just
14:21I I couldn't I couldn't I couldn't even
14:24talk. I wanted God so bad to speak to
14:27me. And after several hours of praying,
14:31God finally spoke to me and said, "Be
14:34still." and do not move.
14:38So I I went on because that was too
14:42simple. I thought God was going to come
14:44in with a with a wonderful light and
14:48shock me real good. But he didn't. And
14:51finally he come back and made that
14:53statement again. He said, "Son, be still
14:56and do not move." And I kept crying out,
15:00"Lord, just point out the country you
15:02want me to go to. I will leave this
15:05church and I will go wherever you ask
15:07me. And the third time he got it through
15:10to me and said, "You be still and do not
15:14move." And finally I realized God was
15:17telling me this is going to be okay. So
15:20I went home and I sat in my in my chair
15:24there and several hours later I get a
15:27phone call and it was brother Mark
15:31Morgan. He was in North Carolina
15:33preaching. He said, "Hey, brother Hail,
15:35what's going on?" Well, he always says
15:38that. That's the way he when he speaks
15:41to me. Hey, what's going on? I said, I
15:44don't I'm not going to tell you what's
15:46going on. I'll let you come preach and
15:48you tell me what's going on and tell the
15:51church what's going on. Amen. Well, the
15:55long story short is this. It was the
15:58lowest point. Now folks, you got to hold
16:01on to your seat. Now, it was one of the
16:05lowest points of my ministry. It was the
16:07deepest valley I can think of as far as
16:12my ministry's concerned. And uh and so
16:17what happened was the Lord brought
16:20brother Morgan and two other preachers.
16:23They felt God definitely had spoken them
16:27and I brought them in. And we ended up
16:30there was not one sold as far as I know
16:35that lost out with God because God said,
16:38"I'll take care of it." Now wait, here's
16:41what I want to tell you. What had
16:43happened was our church was running
16:47about 300 and we were
16:51pushing and doing everything we could.
16:54Moved into this new building.
16:58After this situation took place and
17:01after all that had happened, God began
17:06to increase our church. And within 12
17:10months, our church was running over 700.
17:14It had doubled in attendance because God
17:19took the lowest place that I could be in
17:23and lifted it back up to a mountaintop
17:26experience. What I'm trying to tell this
17:29church this morning is this. You can't
17:31walk on the mountaintop all the time.
17:34You can't see the transforming of Jesus
17:38all the time. You may not walk in the
17:41glory all the time. There's going to be
17:43times where you're going to be living in
17:46reality. And reality is in the lower
17:49places. It's not on the mountain. You
17:52don't need very much faith on the
17:54mountain. But when you walk in the
17:56valley, you're going to have to walk by
17:58faith. Amen. And I got good news for
18:02this church. When you walk in the
18:04valley, he's with us in the valley. Just
18:07like he's with us on the mountaintop.
18:10God promises us, I'll never leave you.
18:14I'll never forsake you. How many wants
18:17to pray and worship that kind of God?
18:21Come on, let's praise him. Come on,
18:24let's praise the Lord.
18:27Hallelujah.
18:31Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So this is the
18:36situation.
18:39There's two different extremes here. And
18:43one of course is where there is the
18:46mighty presence of God. I I
18:51was just thinking I mean between the
18:53services there's been some things that
18:57the Lord has done and in my life and I
19:01I've got to tell this I don't think I've
19:04shared this with this church
19:08but
19:09when you get a little old
19:12I'm not talking about real old I'm not
19:15aged yet or ancient shut yet,
19:20but
19:21you start thinking
19:24every day about eternity
19:27and how you want how you want to uh
19:32finish the race.
19:35And so I keep that on my mind a lot. Uh
19:39I'm I know Sister Elms mentioned about
19:43me in prayer. I'
19:48I've gone through a lot of stuff.
19:49Honestly, I I can't share all of it with
19:52you, but I've gone through a lot of
19:55stuff and there's been a lot of battles
19:57and I've got a lot of scars and that's
20:02okay. I'm glad I'm glad I can testify
20:06that I've come out okay so far.
20:10>> But I've I'm I'm never satisfied.
20:16I I'm never satisfied. I I I'm so hungry
20:20for God right now. I don't know that
20:23I've ever been more hungry for the
20:25things of God than I am right now. And
20:29uh so for two years, I have
20:33entered into this prayer time, a special
20:38prayer time. That's what I'm going to
20:40call it. where that I have in in my mind
20:45I have run up against a wall or did up
20:49until last year. It was and so I would
20:53tell the Lord,
20:55Lord, I know it's not a wall on your
20:57side. You've knocked down everything.
21:01The access to you has been opened up,
21:04but evidently it's a wall on my side.
21:08And I don't know what it is.
21:10I'm so hungry to break through it. I
21:13want so bad to find what what's on the
21:18other side for me because I am so
21:22desperate for a move of God and the
21:25glory of God. And so for two years I
21:29would hit that and go on and pray on
21:35until
21:36about a year ago
21:39I got up out of a deep time of prayer.
21:44When I talk about a deep time of prayer,
21:46I'm talking about brokenness.
21:49I'm talking about weeping. And I'm
21:50talking about the Bible speaks about
21:53Jesus, how that he prayed with strong
21:56crying and tears. And that's to me
22:00that's a deep place where the spirit
22:02will help you pray. I came out of that
22:05and I sat down and took my Bible and
22:09began to read my Bible reading for the
22:13day and I came across
22:16uh Psalms
22:1871
22:19and started reading through it. Well,
22:22Psalm 71 is a complete prayer. It's an
22:26incredible prayer. And I found myself as
22:30I was reading, I found it becoming my
22:33prayer. And I began to pray, God, this
22:37is me. This is me. I'm I'm I'm praying
22:41this. And and and David came there and
22:46then made this statement. He said, "Oh
22:49God,
22:52Lord I
22:55I want to tell this how I feel it. It's
22:59a tefla prayer. It's a tefla prayer is a
23:03hymn prayer. It's different from
23:05intercession. It's different from
23:07travail. It's different from petition. A
23:10tefla prayer, you get so deep and caught
23:14up in it. your body, your soul and your
23:17body is moving and your soul is moving
23:20and your spirit is moving and it becomes
23:23all of a sudden what the TEFL of prayer
23:26is is like a hymn prayer. It's like
23:29something comes up out of the innermost
23:32being of you and you're speaking and
23:35it's a depth and this this is what this
23:37prayer was. Oh.
23:40Oh.
23:43Oh God.
23:49He said, "Forsake me not."
23:54And that was my prayer.
23:57Forsake me not. He says
24:01until
24:03he said in my old age forsake me not
24:08until
24:10I can show this generation my your
24:13strength
24:14and I can show the people that are to
24:18come your power. And God spoke to me and
24:22said, "My son, that's where you are. And
24:26that is the season of your life.
24:28Wherever you go, you're going to show my
24:32strength to those people. And you're
24:35going to tell of my power to those that
24:39are to come." So my instruction today to
24:43the Cathedral of Pentecost is I'm here
24:47on assignment today to talk to you about
24:51the power and the strength of the
24:54Almighty and what God has brought into
24:57me.
24:59Come on, let's praise the Lord God
25:02in the name of Jesus.
25:07Come on, let's praise him. Let's break
25:10through a little bit right here in the
25:13name of Jesus.
25:29Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah.
25:35>> So,
25:38what I want to do today is talk just
25:41briefly
25:43my close and remarks
25:46about the mountaintop.
25:49I thank God for coming to church. People
25:52that don't like church.
25:55People that don't that keep looking at
25:58their watch because I got more important
26:01things to do. They're not looking for
26:04Jesus to come. I can tell you that.
26:07Amen. I come to church expecting
26:10something.
26:11>> I come to church expecting a mountaintop
26:14somewhere in that service. Somewhere in
26:18that service, I want the supernatural.
26:21Somewhere in that service, I've come to
26:23touch the throne. Somewhere in a church
26:26service, I've come to connect to that
26:29supernatural power of God. You can sit
26:32here if you like, if you want to, and
26:35listen to good things. But I'm going to
26:37tell you, somebody wants to plug in to
26:40the supernatural and the glory of God to
26:44show up that there's a mountaintop
26:47There's a mountain on top of experience.
26:50Hallelujah. Hallelujah. When you come to
26:53church, expect it.
26:56Expect to see something, to feel
26:58something, to hear something.
27:02>> The name of Jesus.
27:05Hallelujah.
27:07>> Hallelujah.
27:10Hallelujah.
27:12>> The glory of God
27:15will show up.
27:17Amen.
27:20Lord have mercy. I feel like preaching
27:25the name of Jesus.
27:27Hallelujah.
27:29I'm expecting the things of God. I I got
27:33into a deep prayer
27:35at another time last year. I believe it
27:38was our grandkids. I hope you can
27:42remember.
27:43I came out of that prayer
27:46because, brother Elms, I broke through
27:48the wall.
27:52Broke through the wall.
27:54The wall was on my part.
27:57And basically, it was a time where
28:02I was adjusting to my particular season
28:07of life.
28:09I pastored a lot and I've evangelized
28:13and here I am now retired.
28:17Lord have mercy. I couldn't even picture
28:21for myself
28:23backing off and just letting things
28:25happen and show up here and there.
28:29>> My heart was burning and more I prayed
28:32the hungrier I got.
28:34And finally, I came out of that deep
28:39place.
28:41And
28:44I hope I hope I'm doing this okay.
28:48Uh there was prophecies in that prayer.
28:53I'm I can't explain it to you. It was a
28:56river. It was a river flowing through me
28:59of prophecies. I I I couldn't even be
29:03still. I It was just I I could see
29:06lights and I could see power moves of
29:09God and it was just unbelievable
29:13what was happening with it and and I
29:17come out of that with these prophecies
29:19and I still have them and and but I
29:22couldn't I didn't have anybody to talk
29:24to and I wanted to share I wanted I
29:27wanted to scream out and just walk among
29:30people somewhere a mall or anything else
29:35and prophesy what God is about to do and
29:39God is trying to do and it's going to be
29:41a quick work and you need to be in on it
29:45and don't leave don't don't don't let
29:48the things of the earth get caught up in
29:50your spirit because God's going to use
29:53somebody and it might as well be you and
29:56me. It might as well. Hallelujah.
30:04So,
30:05I sat down and texted a bunch of young
30:09preachers and told them all about it and
30:14try to encourage them and prepare
30:17themselves.
30:19had I walked into my closet and
30:24started getting dressed
30:27and the Lord spoke to me and said, "Son,
30:32do you want to continue enjoying your
30:35retirement?"
30:37And the way the Lord said this was,
30:41"It's going to It's okay. It's your
30:43choice,
30:45Billy. It's your choice. if you want to
30:48just that's fine with with me. And
30:52that's what he said. Do you want to
30:54continue your retirement? Well, I wanted
30:59to tell God I ain't I ain't never
31:01enjoyed my retirement.
31:04I mean, I I'm geared a little different.
31:08I might be
31:11somewhere in my 80s. Forget it.
31:15But I still got a fire burning right
31:17now.
31:21>> You put me before a bunch of people that
31:23love God. And I can't shut up. I don't
31:27want to shut up. I want them to know
31:30there's great things happening. Even
31:32though the devil's got a lot of plans,
31:35God's got higher plans and a greater
31:38amount of the glory of God that's left
31:41over for this end time. Come on. We need
31:44to praise the Lord just a little bit.
31:55And so he said,
31:58"Or do you want to go further?"
32:03This was what the wall was.
32:06I was I was burning up with desire
32:12to go further than I had been. And so I
32:16said, "Lord, I had to count the cost.
32:19You've got to count the cost." And I
32:22said, "I want to go further." Well, when
32:25I did that, the Lord started opening
32:27doors all across America.
32:30And ever since that time, brother Elms
32:32knows
32:34I've been preaching across this country
32:37as an old agent prophet.
32:41Okay, I'll use the word agent. Just
32:44don't throw it ancient on me. Amen.
32:49But the Lord has given me some things
32:53for this last hour and I hope and pray I
32:57can share it with a lot of people.
33:01But here's where I come to today to this
33:04church is that
33:07you are not going to live on the
33:10mountain.
33:12You're not going to live on the mountain
33:14all the time.
33:16Every one of us is going to live in a
33:19time of reality somewhere close to the
33:22valley. And this of course is because of
33:25the fallen nature that's there.
33:29Everybody wants to stay on the
33:31mountaintop, but that's not reality.
33:35So
33:37when Peter asked the Lord, can we Lord
33:41shall we make three tabernacles?
33:45The Bible said the reason he did that is
33:47because he he was afraid. He didn't know
33:50what to say. I don't know what I would
33:52have said. I probably would have done
33:54something the same way. But he wanted to
33:57say something and to respond somehow
34:01another. Then the scripture makes this
34:03statement. It said, "And God
34:08speaks and said,
34:10you listen to Jesus."
34:13And then of course he says, "I want you
34:15after you listen to him, I want you to
34:17move on. Life is going to go on. Heaven
34:21is the only mountaintop experience
34:23that'll never end.
34:25>> And this is not heaven right now. So you
34:29and I get glimpses of the glory of God
34:31when we come together with one another.
34:34There's a move of the presence of God
34:37where two or three are gathered together
34:39in my name. He says, "I'm going to be
34:41there. I'm going to be there."
34:44Hallelujah. How many feels like the Lord

34:54and I to move up a little bit in the
34:57word of God and in the presence of the
35:00Almighty and declare I want the devil to
35:02know whose side I'm on. Amen. I'm not
35:06wishywashy and unstable. Amen. I've got
35:09my mind made up. A I'm going to live for
35:12God and I'm going to come and worship
35:15the Almighty.

35:22the valley of reality,
35:25it has demonic influences
35:28and there's a sense of helplessness
35:31that's there and frustration.
35:34It it it just happens.

35:40We live in a time right now I I don't
35:43even know how
35:46to identify some of this.
35:49The the Lord speaks about that in the
35:53end time it's going to be perilous
35:55times, dangerous and fierce,
35:59violent. Well, we're there. We're there.
36:03You can't hardly go outside your home
36:06without uh wanting to have some kind of
36:09protection.
36:10Now, I don't know about you, but I trust
36:13God. I believe God.
36:16>> I believe angels are with me. But just
36:20in case,
36:22I've got a double stack 9 millimeter in
36:25my car
36:27just for good measure.

36:52Well, what they do is they drill a hole
36:54in your head

37:17looks like a sea shell and and and and
37:20this is called a coke. They stick it in
37:23there and it's got 27 notes like this
37:26piano.
37:27So they put it right up against your
37:29auditory nerve.
37:31And so what I hear a lot is digital
37:36stuff. So when I hear Winter
37:40screaming and hollering and that
37:42unbelievable voice that she has that
37:44came from Poppy Hail, I it just is
37:48amazing to me. But it's not as clear as
37:51I want it to be. Amen. So here, let's
37:55let me let's get back on this. And
37:59so every night I have to
38:03I have to take this thing off and put it
38:07on a charger
38:09and uh charge it up. Well, when I do
38:12that, I can't hear.
38:14I mean, I am just I'm handicapped
38:21with no sympathy from this beautiful
38:24lady over here.
38:27So, I go to bed about 10:30 or 11. I get
38:31up about 3:30. This morning was about 3.
38:35Anyway, it just
38:38and at that time I came here.
38:41Well,
38:43I'm laying in bed
38:46and all of a sudden
38:48this violent shaking.
38:52I'm I'm trying to come out of a deep
38:54sleep and it's my wife trying to wake me
38:57up and I'm saying, "Why? Why?" She said,
39:03"Well, I I don't know what to do. Am I
39:05say why or what?"
39:08So, the first thing I do is try to get
39:10this coke off the charger.
39:14And this particular day, I had it turned
39:16upside down or something or turned
39:18inside out. I I couldn't I'm I'm in a
39:22deep sleep trying to come out. I finally
39:25get this thing. It's a It's a It's a
39:27magnet. So, I'll finally get it slept on
39:29there. And she said, "The dogs are
39:32barking. The dogs are barking.
39:35Somebody's in the house." And this was
39:36about 2:00 in the morning and the the
39:40the somebody's in the house, Billy.
39:42Somebody's in the house. Wow.
39:46I'll reach over there and pull out that
39:48double stock 9 mm right there. Amen.
39:53I rack that thing. I'm ready.
39:59And I do whatever man does.
40:02I send my wife in there, see what's
40:04going on.
40:18Well, I'm gardener, though. I I'm I'm
40:21right behind her. I've got it. I'm I've
40:24got her covered.
40:30Oh, Lord. Where am I at?
40:38Folks,
40:40I'm just trying to get you to see
40:42something today.
40:44We live in a place where we need Jesus
40:48better more than we need anything in the
40:51world. It's not going to come and not
40:55going to happen without faith.
40:58And faith cometh.
41:01If you don't have faith, you remember my
41:03words and the word of the Lord, you can
41:06get it.
41:08>> If you don't have it enough, you can get
41:10it.
41:11>> Faith cometh.
41:13>> You I repeat this a lot of times in in
41:17my prayer. Faith cometh.
41:19>> And the way it comes is by hearing.
41:23>> Amen. Amen. If you don't have a coclar
41:26or anything else, you might can hear
41:29better than me. But I want to tell you
41:31this. I'm always listening for the word
41:35of the Lord to come because I'm walking
41:38in some low places of life sometimes and
41:41I need faith to take me through. And the
41:45Lord says I'll be there. I will be there
41:49in the valley. If I've been on the
41:51mountain with you, Billy, I'm going to
41:54walk with you through the darkest times
41:56and the lowest times you'll ever be.
41:59I'll never leave you nor forsake you.
42:02Can anybody get on your feet and let's
42:05give God glory and praise for it.

42:22You may be seated. I'm closing in just a
42:26moment.
42:28So
42:30Jesus looks at the man that has the
42:33demon-possessed son and he said, "If you
42:37believe,
42:39all things are possible
42:41to them that will believe."
42:46And I love the scripture.
42:49It shows so much the vulnerability
42:53of every human being
42:56when he made the statement, "Lord,
42:59I do believe, but
43:02I've also got some doubts
43:05and help my unbelief."
43:09And the Lord did not chastise him. The
43:12Lord did not shame him. The Lord did not
43:16try to heap guilt upon him and said, "If
43:18you don't get your faith uh strong
43:21enough, I'm not going to do anything."
43:24He simply took the man's fragment of
43:27faith that he had
43:30and he cast the demon out of the man's
43:34son. What I want you to see this is that
43:37a little faith will go a long way with
43:41God. And though you not perfect, and
43:44though you don't get to the place where
43:46you can be a like a prophet, amen, God
43:50says, "I'll take what faith you got
43:52right now and I'll answer prayers for
43:55you. I'll see you come through with
43:58miracles that will take place if you'll
44:01just give me the fragments of your
44:03faith.
44:05I'll take care of your doubts.
44:11My brother
44:13Luster
44:15turns 88 next month. 88. He's six years
44:20older than I am.
44:22Well,
44:25Lester
44:27introduced me to God
44:31when I was about 8 years old and he was
44:33like 14.
44:36Lester had such an experience with God.
44:39That's it's incredible
44:43how that he was so carried away in the
44:47presence of God.
44:49Lester, we lived in the country and
44:53there was
44:55forest all around us. And Lester built
45:00two altars.
45:02Built an altar about 200 yards
45:07right in front of the house. And then he
45:09had another altar that was about 200
45:13yards behind the house. And Lester would
45:16make his way. You could hear him crying
45:19out, 14 years old.
45:22The community could hear a young man
45:26praying in the Holy Ghost anointed of
45:30God.
45:31So one day when Lester was headed to his
45:35altar, I decided I'd go with him at 8
45:39eight years old.
45:41And we got pretty close to where he was
45:45going to pray. And he said, "Billy, this
45:48is as far as you can go." I said, "No,
45:51no, no. I want to go with you, Lester,
45:53all the way." He said, "No, you cannot.
45:56You have to stop right here." So Lester
45:59went on and I went into the woods a
46:02little bit and found a little tree limb
46:05that was laying over close to the
46:07ground. Eight years old,
46:10I bowed, started praying. Didn't know
46:14how, but I could hear my brother
46:16praying.
46:18So I would pray.
46:20All of a sudden,
46:23presence of God came down on me.
46:27my first experience with God,
46:32eight years old.
46:37Later on,
46:39my brother
46:42was shot in the chest.
46:45My cousin shot him
46:48right in the chest
46:50with a rifle, point blank range.
46:55and just a quarter of an inch below his
46:58heart.
47:00And
47:02my uncle brought Lester by the house and
47:04heading they were heading to the
47:06hospital.
47:08I ran out and saw Lester sitting in the
47:11back of that car with no shirt on and
47:16blood pouring out a bullet hole in his
47:19chest.
47:22We're going to lose my brother.
47:27I had praying parents.
47:31Lester
47:33went to the hospital,
47:36stayed three days,
47:38and they let him go home.
47:41It was a miracle.
47:44To this day,
47:47to this day, Lester carries that bullet
47:51in his body. When he gets an MRI or any
47:55kind of X-ray, they find him and said,
47:57"Oh, did you used to be in the in the
48:00war?" He says, "No, that's just a bullet
48:03that I took when I was a child."
48:08What I'm trying to tell you is this.
48:11God will take you at a low place. Oh, I
48:14feel so anointed to tell somebody in
48:18this house,
48:20>> God can walk right into the darkest hour
48:23that you have.
48:25>> And he will
48:27and he will show you. I've got a place I
48:31want to take you to a mountaintop
48:35experience with God where the glory is
48:38God. glory of God is seen. Now this is
48:42the same brother. This is the same
48:45brother. Now let's look at him about 16
48:4817 years old. Lester Lester was a
48:52mischievous child and he loved to prank
48:56and my daughter mentioned about my
48:59pranks. Well, I like to do it, too. But
49:03Lester saw my brother in the backyard
49:06and he was chopping wood and kindling
49:11and uh he decided, I'm going to run up
49:14behind Albert and I'm going to stick my
49:18head between his legs and I'm going to
49:21flip him up in the air. And that's what
49:24he did. It just so happened Albert
49:27coming down with the axe
49:30hit Lester right here in the top of the
49:32head with the corner of that axe and it
49:36cut his head open until right here and
49:40blood streaming everywhere.
49:43Oh my. A low valley.
49:48My daddy
49:50who was calm. I don't know how he does
49:52it. He was calm. He rushed in, got him
49:56some hair clippers, cut the hair back
50:00all the way, poured coal oil in there,
50:04put a little bandage on it, and prayed
50:06in the name of Jesus.
50:11And my brother never went to the
50:13hospital with a busted open head. Now
50:17look, I tell him I tell him all the
50:20time, Lester, that's what's wrong with
50:22you now. You lost so much gray matter.
50:25That's what's happened to you. But I'm
50:28just telling this church something. My
50:30God is a miracle working God.
50:36My God is a mountaintop God.
50:41I may have to walk through the valley
50:43with a little faith, but I'm coming out
50:45of the valley.
50:47I'm coming out of the valley.
50:50I'll walk myself out step by step.
50:57I want you to stand with me. Wait, wait.
51:01Just the men. Just the men. I'm closing,
51:06Brother Helms. I promise.
51:09Oh, do I want to preach to you right
51:11now.
51:13Perilous times, man. Look at me.
51:17Dangerous times.
51:20This is what God said.
51:23And I I've I've looked at this. I've
51:27looked at this.
51:29What? Why does the Lord even put that in
51:31the Bible?
51:33Think about this. Why did he do it?
51:37It wasn't because we're to be so full of
51:40fright and we just sit here and ring our
51:44hands at what's going on in this crazy
51:47world.
51:49No, no, no. God brought us to the
51:52kingdom for this particular time. Now
51:56you listen. I know your pastor preaches
51:58this and I preach it. There's something
52:01really, really powerful in that thought.
52:06God knew what was needed at this last
52:09hour and he saved us for this hour to
52:15take the challenge on for what the devil
52:18is has got planned for the church of the
52:22living God. You men that are standing
52:25here, please listen to me. The devil
52:28hates you.
52:31Now wait.
52:33The reason I'm telling you this is
52:35because you are so much like your
52:38father.
52:40I'm talking about your heavenly father.
52:44Because God made you in his own image.
52:50The way he created you, he made you. And
52:54there was such fellowship
52:57between
52:58God and Adam before Eve came on the
53:02scene. God and Adam had some kind of
53:06relationship.
53:08And God that has named all the stars,
53:11the millions and billions of stars,
53:14said "Adam
53:16I want a partner so bad that I'm going
53:20to put something in you that you're
53:24going to be my earth partner and I'm
53:27going to operate through you
53:30as if I am come into the earth myself."
53:35>> No, no, no. I know there's there are the
53:38son of God. I know Jesus came as the son
53:42of God. But first John says, "Beloved,
53:46you now are the sons of God." Those of
53:50you that are standing here today, you
53:53don't realize it what God has done for
53:56you and put into you and wants you to
53:59be. You want to be aligned with God and
54:03make connection with your source because
54:06God's not finished with what he wants to
54:09do in the earth. And the primary one God
54:14has made it known to the world for
54:17centuries is the male. The devil hates
54:21males masculinity. He despises this
54:26because there's something God has
54:28instilled in every one of us men. Amen.
54:32That God says, "I'm going to turn this
54:35whole thing into a situation where men
54:38are going to take dominion." And how am
54:41I going to take dominion? I'm going to
54:43walk with God. And I'm going to plug in
54:46to my source so that I'm not just going
54:49to be a man. I'm going to be a man of
54:52God. Amen. I'm going to carry anointing.
54:56I'm going to carry it with praise and
54:58with power. This is not just trying to
55:01be a good sermon, folks. I am believing
55:04God for this church to have the greatest
55:07revival it's ever seen. Amen. Amen. And
55:12the way it's going to happen is there's
55:15men that's in this church. The devil
55:18will do everything he can to distract
55:21you from what you are supposed to be
55:24doing. And that is making connection
55:26with God. Every day I'm going to make
55:29connection with God. I'm going to align
55:31myself with what God has called me to
55:34do. I'm going to take dominion over
55:38every evil spirit, over every dark
55:41spirit. I am going to take dominion. And
55:44I've got a name that's above every name.
55:47And I've got the power that's the
55:49greatest power the world has ever seen.
55:58>> Okay,
56:00men. Just keep standing.
56:03You're made in the image of God.
56:06The scripture says
56:09even God's likeness.
56:12And when the devil looks at you,
56:16he sees God
56:19and he hates you.
56:22He's got assassins.
56:25He He is a sign for every one of us. If
56:30he could take you out, he'd take you
56:32out.
56:34But the grace and mercy of God is on
56:36you. Oh, I feel the presence of God
56:39here. I'm trying to quit. Amen. But I
56:43want to somehow another you to see
56:46something. Genesis 2 and 4, folks. It's
56:51time for the latter rain. It's not going
56:54to come. It's not going to come just
56:57because it's on God's calendar. It said
57:00there are generations of the heavens and
57:02the earth when they were created in the
57:05day the Lord God made the earth and the
57:07heavens and every plant of of the field
57:11before it was in the earth. It was in
57:14the mind of God. Every herb of the field
57:18before it grew, it was in the mind of
57:21God. And the Bible says the reason why
57:25there was no herbs and plants.
57:28It says for the Lord God had not caused
57:31it to rain upon the earth. There was
57:35because it says there was not a man to
57:40till the ground. So God was waiting to
57:44bring a man that was a representative of
57:47himself. that was a man in his image, a
57:51man in his likeness that he could impart
57:55to this man dominion
57:58and give him his presence and spirit.
58:01Amen. So when God found a man by the
58:05name of Adam and created him, brought
58:08him on to the scene, it started the
58:12process of what we have right now. The
58:15ground has the potential. The ground has
58:18the nutrients and ability, but there was
58:21no outpouring. And the reason why was
58:24there was not a man to till the ground
58:27yet. Until a man is in his place, there
58:31are some things that will never be
58:33loosed. Are you listening to this, old
58:35man? There are some things that will
58:37never be loosed in the heavens. When you
58:40step into the position that God wants
58:43you men to be in, it's at that time a
58:46flood is going to start coming. There's
58:49going to be cascading of blessings
58:51that's going to come. The Bible speaks
58:53about the heavens will open up. When
58:57Jesus Christ was there at the place of
59:00position there to be baptized at Beth
59:03Abra in the Jordan River, when he was in
59:06that place that he was supposed to be
59:08in, the Bible says the heavens began to
59:11open up. That's what I want to happen.
59:14Cathedral of Pentecost. I want to get
59:17men in position. Amen. In the spirit
59:20realm,
59:22in the name of Jesus. In the name of
59:25Jesus, I'm praying the Holy Ghost right
59:28now upon men in this room. Amen. To take
59:32you out of any hiding place or any kind
59:35of feelings of inferiority. That's of
59:38the devil. Amen. I want you right now to
59:41come forward, men, in this room today.
59:45Amen. I want you to come forward in the
59:47name of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
59:50Hallelujah. You don't have to beat on a
59:53table and say, "I'm the man around
59:55here." God will open the heavens and let
59:58everybody know who you are.
60:05Genesis 3 and 15.
60:09I will put enmity between you and the
60:11woman,
60:13and between thy seed and her seed,
60:18and it
60:20it shall bruise thy head, devil.
60:25What are you talking about, Lord? He
60:27says, "The seed of the woman is going to
60:30bruise the head of the devil."
60:33Amen. enmity
60:36between your seed, devil, and the seed
60:39of a woman. Listen to me. A woman has no
60:43seed.
60:45A woman has no seed.
60:48You better listen to me. I want you to
60:51to get everything God's got for you and
60:54for this church. Amen. He's talking
60:57about a manchild.
60:59He's talking about that word seed is
61:02zera. I'm not going to go further than
61:04that. But it's ex it's only a man that
61:08carries a zera. That's what that is. No
61:11woman has a seed of herself. But God
61:15says, "I am going to bring on the scene.
61:19I'm going to bring on the scene a seed,
61:22a Zarah, a deliverer that's going to
61:26look so much like men in my likeness
61:29that when the devil sees them, he knows
61:32that it's me that's going to operate
61:35through men. Men, I'm commissioning you.
61:37And I'm going to ask your pastor to help
61:40me commission you. The devil hates the
61:43men this church. I can get 20 women to
61:47go to a prayer meeting before I can get
61:50one man usually to go to a prayer
61:52meeting. It's not because men are bad.
61:55It's just because a devil's trying his
61:58best to surround men and keep them
62:01occupied and distracted with all kinds
62:04of things, sports or whatever it might
62:07be. Amen. working on the job, doing a
62:11lot of things, being concerned about
62:13finances. Amen. To keep him away from
62:16the source. That's what God wants is to
62:19get you and I plugged in. I'm trying to
62:23get us to that place today. Lift your
62:25hands, men, right now, and say, "God,
62:28I'm plugging in. I'm plugging in. You're
62:32asking for me to do it and I'm going to
62:35volunteer to be one of those that's
62:38going to be used in this end time in the
62:41name of Jesus. I want pastor to come and
62:44pray for the men here. Amen. Father's
