0:02Salamita, everyone. Praise the Lord, everybody. Is there any way to

0:31Lord everybody. Hope everybody's doing well tonight. Brother Elms asked me to teach. I was
0:36away and I just got back. I was up in Memphis. But I'm honored to
0:42do this tonight and I appreciate what the Lord's done for me. I was thinking
0:47today on, you know, how long I've been here and not just here at the
0:53church, but how long I've been living. And it's been a miracle, you know.
0:59And God's really blessed me and I appreciate it. All right, tonight's lesson.

1:30Alright, and Sister Chris is going to read for me. I kind of like have
1:35a lot of scriptures. I hope you don't get bored. But I'm trying to bring
1:41a point out and I'll explain more to it. And it's an ongoing process. I
1:46just want you to think about that. It's not something pointed right now, but it's
1:52an ongoing process what we're going to speak about tonight. And everybody's at different places.
1:57Okay, so you can be seated because I'm gonna sit
2:03down. Okay, let me open this up and Sister Crystal
2:09is gonna be the reader tonight. So she's got the
2:15hardest job trying to follow my notes. Okay, I'm gonna
2:21give you a little preface and that I put on
2:26here just to start it out. Now, I'm gonna say
2:33THAT THE PURPOSE OF THE--I JUST WROTE THIS DOWN BEFORE. SO THE PURPOSE
2:38OF THIS STUDY IS TO SHOW THAT SERVING GOD IS TO BE SEPARATED
2:44AND SET APART TO DO THE WORK OF CHRIST IN THE EARTH. THAT'S
2:50OUR JOB. THE SANCTIFICATION PROCESS, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ABOUT. SANCTIFICATION, YOU KNOW, HAVE
2:56YOU EVER BEEN TO AN OLD-TIME IN CHURCH WHERE THEY SAY, "I'VE BEEN
3:02SAVED, SANCTIFIED, AND SET FREE"? Well, it's part of a
3:07process, okay? And the sanctification process continues throughout your
3:13life while serving the Lord. It is possible to
3:19attain all, attain for all who come, the process
3:24to continue and to bring you into your inheritance.
3:30That's real important. It's bringing us into our inheritance
3:36with Jesus Christ. Our, remember that, it's your, you're a
3:41child of the king and you have an inheritance and that's our
3:47inheritance, okay? It's bringing us to it, this sanctification process, okay? It
3:52is possible to attain, first of all, some people think, ah, I
3:58can't do it, I can't do it. For all who come to
4:04the Lord, he's the author and finisher of our faith. He
4:09said he'd never leave you or he'd never forsake you. So this process
4:15will continue as long as you continue. That's the key, too. You know,
4:21you've got to be there. All right, the first scripture we have, Sister
4:27Crystal's going to start us off, is Hebrews 2. 2, 6 through
4:3313, if you want to follow along. I have a lot of scripture. Hope
4:39you don't get bored. But it's just got the words in it that I
4:45need. And I'm going to let the words speak for itself. Okay? So go
4:51ahead, Sister Crystal. Hebrews 2, verses 6 through 13. But one in a certain
4:56place testified, saying, What is man that thou art mindful of him, or the son
5:01of man that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels,
5:06thou crownest him with glory and honor, and didst set him over the works of
5:10thy hands. Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet, for in that
5:15he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under
5:20him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see
5:25Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death,
5:30crowned with glory and honor that he, by the grace of God, should taste death
5:34for every man. For it became him for whom are all things and by whom
5:40are all things in bringing many sons unto glory to make the captain of their
5:45salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctify it and they who are sanctified
5:50are all of one for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren
5:55saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren in the midst of the church.
6:00Will I sing praise unto thee? And again, I will put my trust in him.
6:05And again behold I and the children which God hath given me. For as much
6:11then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took
6:16part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power
6:21of death, that is, the devil, and deliver them who through fear of death were
6:27all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature
6:32of angels, but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Thank you.
6:39That's right. Hebrews 10. I'm just going to read
6:45this one. You don't have to read this. It
6:50is explaining that we are sanctified by and through
6:56the offering, is what you were speaking of, of
7:02the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.
7:08For by one offering, he hath perfected forever them
7:13that are sanctified. sanctification starts with your walk with god
7:19you get baptized you get the holy ghost and that sanctification process
7:25starts it doesn't happen there and you're sanctified and you're done you're
7:31that's all you know you know you learn and as you walk
7:37with god he teaches you and and the blood The
7:42blood is the key part of it. Once you're
7:48covered with His blood, that sanctification can work in
7:53you, and it can continue. Okay, I'm going to
7:59give you a couple of definitions. Sanctified. Sanctified means
8:05free from sin. It means consecrated. To make or
8:10declare sacred or holy. You're going to see as
8:16we go along that sanctification means is part of
8:22the holiness process. That as we walk in sanctification, we
8:27also walk in holiness, because that's what we start to
8:33learn. How do we please the Lord? Okay? To remove
8:38something from. That means to set apart. To sanctify means
8:44to set apart. That's what you are. You are set
8:49apart for the work of God. Okay? Remember
8:55that. Set apart. You know, I was up in Memphis, and I was
9:01thinking about things, and my little granddaughter is there, and I see that
9:06young people, there's not too many in here now that are going through
9:12junior high school or high school in the congregation right now. But to
9:18moms and dads, those children are looking for an identity right now. They
9:24feel intimidated. when they have to dress properly or if
9:29you come in to conform to the way the Lord wants you to dress,
9:35okay? And not the way the world's dressing. That's what the set-apart is. But
9:41these young people are having a battle. They're having a battle, and we need
9:47to pray for them, teenagers, and when they start, because they want to try
9:53to blend. They're not going to be able to blend. they don't
9:59have to blend they don't have to god has made them individually and
10:05they're a child of the king they're a child of the king they
10:11don't have to blend they can be their own people but they need
10:16to get their footing and and i'll tell you what uh it's uh
10:22peer pressure is big i mean It's unbelievable when they get together, all
10:28the young people, and you see them. You see the different parts, you know, and
10:34different things. It's hard for the young girls and the young boys to go through
10:40that. It's a battle. And we need to keep them in our prayer. That's just,
10:46you got that one for free. I was just thinking about that one. So, okay.
10:52To remove something from common, this is sanctified. To remove something from common everyday use.
10:58and reserve it for God's purposes. To set
11:04apart or devote to the service or worship
11:09of God. This is sanctified definitions. To dedicate.
11:15The word saint comes from the same, and
11:20that's what you all are. Once you've been
11:26under the blood of Jesus Christ, that's what
11:31you are. Don't let anybody tell you different.
11:36Okay. The word saint comes from the same root word
11:42as the sanctified one. Okay? One who belongs to Christ. Now, to
11:48sanctify is to set apart. That's where the young people are having
11:54a hard time. They have a hard time with because of the
12:00peer pressure. So much once you get older, you don't have that much more peer
12:05pressure. You're not in the biggest group. It's like if you're going to high school
12:09or you're going to school or you got to be on a bus with all
12:13these people. And, you know, people are hard out there. They're ruthless, some of them.
12:17And they'll pick at you, pick at you. Once they know, they'll pick at you,
12:21pick at you. So we've got to be careful with our young people and really
12:25try to strengthen them. Okay, sanctify, to set apart. To
12:30sanctify anything is to declare that it belongs to
12:36God. To make free from sin or purify. To
12:42impart or impute sacredness. That's what the Lord's doing
12:47to us. He's imparting to us as we get
12:53sanctification. Now, sanctity, sanctity is a little different. It's
12:58holiness of life. and carer. Okay? Now, sanctification,
13:04the lifelong work of the Holy Spirit to
13:10transform believers and make them more holy or
13:16Christ-like in their daily lives. Okay? I want
13:21to read something to you. Every scripture I've
13:27got here tonight is from the New Testament
13:33having to do with sanctification and sanctify. But,
13:40It was more often in the Old Testament, as I was
13:46researching, they had to sanctify. Every time they went to fight,
13:51every time they did this, every time they did that, and
13:57the words that were always repeated is sanctify yourselves. Sanctify yourselves.
14:03We have one up on them because God helps us through
14:09the Holy Ghost. we're not sanctifying ourselves we're not holier than
14:15now God is doing it for us but they under the law everything they did
14:20I'll tell you some of the stuff it says uh this is Old Testament because
14:26I don't have any Old Testament scriptures there and I just want to bring it
14:31out that everything they did I mean uh uh let me go through a few
14:36of them things sanctified in the Old Testament There could be things, places,
14:42days, persons, the nation, and Israel as a whole. Sometimes they had
14:48to call the nation of Israel. Sanctify yourselves. If you see that,
14:53if you go in the Old Testament and you run that sanctify,
14:59sanctify yourselves. But I thank God that by the work of the
15:04Holy Ghost and by the blood of Jesus Christ, That operation
15:10is working in us. Now, they had to sanctify the firstborn
15:16of Israel. The priests had to be sanctified. The tent of
15:22worship had to be sanctified. The altar had to be sanctified.
15:28The offerings, everything that was used on the altar. Now, remember,
15:33sanctified, set apart for God's work. All this was set apart
15:39for God's work. The Levites had to be sanctified.
15:45the Sabbath had to be sanctified. A man's house had to be sanctified.
15:51His field where he grew crops had to be sanctified. The tithe that
15:56he gave had to be sanctified. And that's just a few of mine
16:02just because I don't have any scriptures. I didn't do Old Testament scriptures
16:07because then we'd be here for probably a week, you know, and I,
16:13you know, I think this is going to be long enough.
16:19I got too many scriptures. But anyhow, sanctifyeth. Sanctifyeth. We're going
16:24to start with that. And it's the inheritance and being blood
16:30washed. The first scripture is Hebrews 9, 12 through 15. Neither
16:35by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own
16:41blood he entered in once into the holy place. having obtained eternal
16:47redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes
16:52of an heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctify it to the purifying of the flesh, how
16:57much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without
17:03spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
17:11And for this cause he is the mediator of the New
17:16Testament, that by means of death for the redemption of the
17:22transgressions that were under the First Testament, they which are called
17:27might receive the promises of eternal inheritance. That's our inheritance. It's
17:33all working in our favor that we can receive our inheritance.
17:38Our inheritance, life everlasting. Our inheritance, peace, no more tears.
17:44No more pain. No more trials. That's part of our inheritance. Okay? Second
17:50one, Hebrews 2, 11 through 13. This is sanctifyeth. For both he that
17:55sanctifyeth and they who are sanctified are all of one, for which cause
18:01he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, I will declare thy
18:07name unto my brethren. In the midst of the church will I sing
18:13praise unto thee. And again, I will put
18:18my trust in him. And again, behold, I and the children which God has
18:24given me. God has given. Okay. This is, it goes along with sanctify it.
18:30It is about the blood of Jesus Christ. So many times in the Old
18:36Testament, they had to sanctify. And whether you brought a turtle dove or whatever
18:42you brought, it had to be killed. And that was the blood that extended
18:48your stay for another year. You know, it wiped out
18:53your sins for another year. But this, the
18:59blood of Jesus, does it once for all.
19:04Okay? Okay? Sanctification is the word now. 1
19:09Corinthians 30 and 31. 1 Corinthians 1, 30
19:15and 31. But of him are ye
19:20in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom
19:26and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, that according as it is
19:32written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. Our
19:37sanctification is in Jesus Christ. That's what brings us sanctification. God
19:43in you, the hope of glory. Christ in you, the hope
19:49of glory. Okay? Sanctification. Sanctification. 1 Thessalonians 4, 2 through 7.
19:54For ye know that what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this
20:00is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should abstain from fornication, that
20:06every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor,
20:12not in the lust of conspiration,

20:37righteous
20:41living. that's
20:47what that calls for those scriptures the sanctify the sanctification
20:53brings us into righteous living we don't defraud our neighbor
20:59we don't render evil for evil we don't get road
21:04rage we don't uh you know when we get a
21:10flat tire we don't cuss hopefully i don't know i've
21:16heard some people you know but still we live
21:22righteously that's what the whole sanctification process is doing i'm going
21:28to hit it and hit it and hit it it's a
21:33process it's a process a continuance a continual changing a renewing
21:39of your mind by the washing regeneration of the holy ghost
21:45the holy ghost does that That's what renews your mind.
21:51That what regenerates you is the Holy Ghost. That's why we
21:56come to church. You've heard it. The filling station, the gas
22:02station analogy. You know, you run all week, you get down
22:08on gas, you come back to church, get filled up, run
22:13again. Same thing. It's a process. Okay. 2 Thessalonians 2 and
22:1913 says, But we are bound to give thanks always to God
22:25for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you
22:31to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. It's chosen you.
22:37That's everybody in here. There's no big people, little people. It's everybody. It's everybody. You're
22:42a child of the King. If I could sing that song, I try to find
22:48it in the book I was going to sing for you. You know,
22:54thank God, I'm a child of the King. His royal blood now flows
23:00in my veins. And I, you know, but anyhow, once again. Okay, 1
23:06Peter 1, 1 and 2.
23:11Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia,
23:17Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the
23:23Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the
23:29blood of Jesus Christ, grace unto you, and peace be multiplied. Sanctification
23:34and the blood of Jesus Christ go together. Under the blood, you're
23:40being sanctified. That's the process. I'm going to
23:46say it. I don't know how many times. Maybe 50.
23:52That's the process. The sanctification process under the blood. That
23:58lets you in. That lets it start. That's what makes
24:04it continue also. Okay. Now we're going to... Let me
24:10see where we're at now. We got the...
24:15Okay, sanctification. We did that. The lifelong work of the
24:21Holy Spirit to transform believers and make them more holy,
24:26Christ-like in their daily lives. That's sanctify. Vacation. Now we're
24:32going into sanctify. You know, sanctify, initially when I gave
24:37you the definition, means to set apart, separated, set apart.
24:43And that's what we are. We're not of this world.
24:49That song says we're pilgrims and strangers, and that's what we are here.
24:55Okay, the first one, Ephesians 25 and 27. Chapter 5, correct? Chapter 5,
25:01correct? Chapter 5, I'm sorry, yeah. Ephesians chapter 5, 25 through 27. Sorry.
25:07Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave
25:12himself for it, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing
25:18of water by the word. that he might present it to himself
25:24a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but
25:30that it should be holy and without blemish that's why i said sanctification
25:35will move you towards holiness not unrighteousness righteousness and holiness that's how we
25:41grow this is a growing you ever you know when i first when
25:47we first started church A lot of people were going to different churches. There were
25:52churches jumping everywhere. church hopping because we came out of the late 60s and we
25:57started church it was a hippie a hippie era era and everybody was doing their
26:02own thing and they were going they were hopping and then I went to a
26:07Bible a Bible's uh thing and it was bothering me because some of my friends
26:12that had come into church they went to other you know they were jumping around
26:17they never got rooted But I always, I saw a big picture of a
26:23big flower and it says, "Bloom where you've been planted." You know? Bloom
26:29where you've been planted. And if you've been planted in a church, the
26:35best thing is to get your roots down and bloom there. Because if
26:41you take a tree, and especially the big oaks, you've got to root
26:46prune them, it's called, before you move them. So if you're going to
26:52move, you're going to get your roots for them anyhow so for if you
26:58want to live you know down the road so anyhow when you move it it
27:04goes into a shock and it doesn't grow you don't have a growing period it
27:09waits and then if you have to do it again and again it may not
27:15make it so that's uh that was a revelation to me when I was when
27:21I was coming out Just starting in church, bloom where you're planted.
27:27There's work for all of us to do. Your personality will fit
27:33somewhere. Your gifts will make room for you somewhere in the body
27:38of Christ. Okay? Bloom where you're planted. Okay, I forgot where was
27:44that, but I'm still there. It's Ephesians 4, 1 through 3.
27:52One body
27:57and one
28:01Lord. There's
28:05work. You
28:10are part
28:14of the
28:18body of
28:23Christ. You're part of the
28:28body of Christ. You have a function. You have
28:34a job. You have a responsibility. Okay? You have
28:39to walk worthy so that honoring the Lord to
28:45walk worthy. You know, there's two kinds of fear.
28:50There's a fear of the Lord, which doesn't defile.
28:56It helps. But then there's a common fear, fear of everything.
29:02Okay? That's like torment. Fear hath torment. Okay? So when you're
29:08fearful and torment, it also kind of brings you the representation
29:14that it's judgment or you're getting a spanking or something. You
29:20know? That kind of fear. But the fear of God...
29:26is a bringing up to where we don't have to, I mean, we have
29:32to fear God, we have to, He can cut us off at any time,
29:38you know. But He said He'd never leave us or forsake us. So if
29:44we walk in that light, as easy as the light, we have fellowship one
29:50with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin. So
29:56it all works through the blood, through the sanctification, and again I say
30:01it's a process. Doesn't happen, boom, you're there. You know, I had, my first pastor
30:07said, "Is this too bad? We can't, when people come up to the altar, hit
30:12'em in the head with a two by four after they get the Holy Ghost,
30:17and they're outta here." So they never have to backslide, they never have to go
30:22out of the church. He used to say that. "Yeah, we'll get a two by
30:27four." You get the Holy Ghost, whack, you know, you're gone. But
30:33that's what he
30:38used to say.
30:43It's funny. All
30:48right, here we
30:52go. Colossians 3,
30:571 through 4.
31:02Separated. Go ahead. When Christ, who
31:08is our life, shall appear, then shall you also
31:13appear with him in glory. Separated with Christ. Okay.
31:191 Thessalonians 5, 14 through 23. Now we exhort
31:25you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the
31:31feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
31:37See that none render evil for evil unto any man, but ever follow that which
31:42is good both among yourselves and to all men. Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, and
31:48everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
31:54quench not the spirit, despise not prophesying, prove all things, hold fast
31:59that which is good, abstain from all appearance of evil, and the
32:05very God of peace sanctify you wholly. And I pray God your
32:11whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming
32:17of our Lord Jesus Christ. That's what the process does. It will
32:23present us blameless. i know
32:28it's hard to imagine but that's what it's going
32:34to do that's the work to present us blameless
32:40without spot without wrinkle that's the church okay where
32:46are we at here hebrews 13 12 and 16
32:52did we do that one yes okay no no
32:58no we didn't sorry all right hebrews 13 12
33:04through 16. it's another one about being separated
33:10It leads us to that. Go ahead. Wherefore, Jesus also, that he might sanctify the
33:16people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth, therefore, unto
33:21him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but
33:27we seek one to come. By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise
33:33to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name.
33:39but to do good and to communicate, forget not. For
33:44with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. People aren't like
33:50that in the world. You know, you cross them, they
33:55take out vengeance. Not the whole world, but I'm talking
34:01about the mindset of the Prince of Power of the
34:06air that rules the world. He's here in the air.
34:12This is his kingdom. So that's what we're fighting against.
34:17That's what we're fighting against. This is his kingdom. He's the ruler of the
34:23air, prince in power of the air. That's a devil. So that's what we're
34:29fighting against. That's why we're living this way, to be separated. That's why when
34:35the Lord says, "Vengeance is mine," you don't do vengeance. You forget about it.
34:41You know, I did a Bible study one time about forgiveness.
34:48and that people that do not forgive and they carry
34:53stuff with them their whole life. And this book that
34:59had an actual physical results, not just spiritual, physical results
35:05of carrying negativity and not forgiving. One lady was bent
35:11over like this and she walked like this. Some
35:17people actually got sick with different illnesses. It will eventually,
35:22if not physically, spiritually kill you if you can't forgive.
35:28It's hard. Believe me, sometimes you get crossed and some
35:33people are ruthless, but forgiveness has got to be part
35:39of our itinerary, part of our sanctification process. It's a
35:44big one. And I'm telling you, if you can't do it, you've got
35:50to try. Just give it to the Lord. Come to the altar, whatever. You've got
35:56to shake it off, forgive the people out of sight, out of mind. And so
36:02you could go on with your life. It's hindering you. They're between you and the
36:08Lord, you know. You see that. There's the Lord. And they're blocking your view right
36:14now. whoever you can't forgive is blocking your view and
36:19you're not going to be able to see truth it'll
36:25be perverted it'll be changed so forgiveness is a big
36:30one and sanctification will help us with forgiveness it'll do
36:36it washing and regenerating of our minds that's where we
36:42have forgiveness in our hearts and our minds
36:47We've got to do it. You've got to. It's righteous
36:53living. Okay, 1 Peter 3, 13 and 17. 13 and
36:5917 or 13 through 17? 1 Peter 3, 13 and
37:0417 through 17. Got it. I'm sorry. And who is
37:10he that will harm you? If you be followers of
37:16that which is good. But, and if you suffer for
37:22righteousness' sake... Happy are ye, and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
37:28But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an
37:33answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in
37:38you with meekness and fear. Having a good conscience that, whereas they speak evil of
37:43you as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in
37:48Christ. for it is better if the will of god be
37:54so that you suffer for well-doing than for evil doing righteous
37:59living forgiveness you know they they knew back in the old
38:05days they knew christians from non-christians because they the christians showed
38:10love one to another one to another it's righteous living that's
38:16what it comes down to where the rubber it's a road
38:22righteous living sanctification is the process that keeps us learning more
38:27and developing more and and that's what's getting us and it
38:33will present us blameless i guarantee it will it will okay
38:39uh john now this one's going to come up later too
38:45but i'm just taking one out of this one because through
38:50through truth The Bible said, thy word is truth. So that's why I
38:56went with a lot of scriptures tonight, so that you could hear the word with
39:02the sanctify and sanctification, and you could hear it yourself and let the word of
39:08God teach it. You know, not so much me teaching or whoever, but let the
39:13word of God teach you. go ahead 17 and 17 and i say
39:19again it's going to come up again in our next one where it
39:25says sanctified but go ahead this is sanctify 17 and 17 john sanctify
39:31them through thy truth thy word is truth do it again slower sanctify
39:37them through thy truth thy word is truth thy word is truth and
39:42that's what it's all about and that's where sanctification as you read
39:48and God opens up the scriptures to you. That's when you learn and that's
39:54when if you go before God humbly, He's going to open up to you
39:59a whole new world like. It's like, "Ooh, why didn't I think about that
40:05before?" Or, "Why couldn't I see that before?" It's for that time. You needed
40:11it now. Whatever it is, you needed it now, okay? Alright,
40:16now we're going to go to sanctified. Different word. Same root
40:22word, same field, same ballpark. Sanctified. And we're coming up on
40:28John again, 17:14-19. So a little bit more of an explanation
40:34of the scriptures you just read. I have given them thy
40:40word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not
40:46of the world. Even as I am not of the world. I pray not
40:52that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them
40:57from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of
41:03the world. Sanctify them through thy truth. Thy word is truth. As thou has sent
41:08me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And
41:14for their sakes, I sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
41:21the word of God Bible says a lamp unto our feet
41:27and a light to our pathway the word of God is
41:33truth it'll lead us it'll guide us it'll show us it'll
41:38enlighten us the Bible says you are the light of the
41:44world the light shineth in darkness and that's what it is
41:50you're a city Set on a hill that can't be hid.
41:56You can try to hide. You can try to duck it.
42:02But if the sanctification process is working in you, it's going
42:07to show. And don't be ashamed of it. Because it will
42:13show. And it will be for the betterment of you and
42:19whoever's around you. Whoever's around you. So, go ahead. Acts 20
42:24and 32. and now brethren this is about the inheritance again
42:30we're going for inheritance I just want to keep bringing that up this is where
42:36we're going the inheritance that God has for us that's what this whole process is
42:41going to bring us to our inheritance go ahead and now brethren I commend you
42:46to God and to the word of his grace which is able to
42:52build you up and to give you an inheritance among all
42:58them which are sanctified. Okay, that's where it's bringing us. Okay,
43:031 Corinthians 6 and 11. And such were some of you,
43:09but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are
43:14justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the
43:20Spirit of our God. Such were some of me, and God
43:26did it. and if he can do it for me
43:31he can do for anybody believe me please believe me i
43:37don't have to go into it but please believe me it
43:42happened god is good and and uh that's it that sanctification
43:48it's going to show it's going to show it's going to
43:54make you look different act different talk different do different just
43:59different you might as well take it because it's for righteousness
44:05and don't forget the inheritance. All right, here we go.
44:11Oh, also, now this I don't really, I've always had
44:17a hard time with this. Not a hard time understanding
44:23it, but God gives special preference for some reason, for
44:28some reason, and I don't know, but I'll ask when
44:34I get there. It also says in 1 Corinthians 3,
44:427 and 14. Now, listen. This is special
44:48preference. One is to the unsaved husband or
44:53unsaved wife or unsaved children. Go ahead, read
44:59it. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by
45:05the wife. Is sanctified by the wife. Go
45:10ahead. Because the wife is sanctified. She's been
45:16saved. She's got the blood. but
45:22the unbelieving husband was it the husband or the wife unbelieving husband
45:27is sanctified by the wife okay and then the opposite is also
45:33true go ahead and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband
45:39see that go ahead else were your children unclean but now they
45:45are holy see that so the husband or the wife is sanctified
45:51that means she's covered in the blood okay the process is
45:57working with her this guy he's still going out on
46:03friday nights and saturday nights okay but for some reason
46:08god put that in there and it's a perfect it
46:14looks like a special uh aside to me that he's
46:20making a special case right here for the unbelieving husband
46:25or the unbelieving wife or the children if one is
46:31sanctified So that I have to ask questions about.
46:37But that's what it is. It's in the word. Okay? Setting apart Paul.
46:43Here we go. Acts 26, 16 through 18. But rise and stand upon
46:48thy feet, for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make
46:54thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast
47:00seen and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee.
47:06delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles unto whom now I
47:12send thee to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to
47:17light and from the power of Satan unto God that they may receive
47:23forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that
47:29is in me. Sanctified by your faith that's in you, those that will
47:34hear you. And they will, if they come in and they're covered in
47:40the blood, They get their inheritance. And it doesn't matter when they
47:45come in. It's like that man that had a field and he went out in
47:51the morning, said, I'll pay you a penny to work all day. Then he went
47:56out at 12 in the afternoon, said, I'll pay you a penny. You know, he
48:01paid everybody the same amount across the board, whether they got there at 5 o'clock
48:06or they got there at 8 o'clock in the morning or 5 o'clock at night.
48:11All the same. Level. God is. God will do it. He
48:17does it. Acts 6:9-11 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which
48:23is called the synagogue of the Libertines and Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and
48:29of them Silica and of Asia disputing with Stephen. And they were
48:35not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he
48:40spake. Then they suburned men, which said, "We have heard him speak
48:46blasphemous words against Moses and against God."
48:52Is that 9 through 11? Okay. We good? Yep.
48:57Okay. Romans 15, 15 and 16. Nevertheless, brethren, I
49:03have written the more boldly unto you in some
49:08sort as putting you in mind because of the
49:14grace that is given to me of God. that
49:20I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the
49:26gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable,
49:31being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. Sanctified by the Holy Ghost. That's where
49:37it all comes from. That's what's working within us, within you, within all
49:43of us. Sanctification by the Holy Ghost. That's why it's so
49:48important to keep the thing, not the thing, but to keep the
49:54spirit of God refreshed in you. And again, I go to the
50:00gas pump thing, the gas station. You've got to continually be refilled
50:05and refilled and refilled. Because if you're out there working in the
50:11world, you're getting buffeted. You're getting sometimes downhearted or depressed, whatever happens.
50:17or you're taking the hit from somebody and it's just got you down. But the
50:23Holy Ghost, you keep it afresh, you could deal with it. You could deal with
50:29it. You know, there was an old pastor. He says somebody came up to him
50:35and said, okay, what if somebody slapped you in the face? What would you do?
50:41Because we're in the flesh, okay? We're here. Now, if somebody came up, you don't
50:47know, and just slapped you in the face, let you have it. What
50:52would you do? You know what his response was? He
50:58says, "Depends on where I'm at in the Lord." If
51:04he wasn't right, he would have smacked him back. Yeah?
51:09Otherwise, he turns the other cheek if he's full. So,
51:15go ahead. All right, where are we at? Hebrews 10:29.
51:20"Of how much sore punishment, suppose ye, shall he be
51:26thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God?
51:32and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he
51:38was sanctified and unholy thing and hath done despite unto
51:44the spirit of grace can you see how important the
51:50blood of jesus christ is in all of this process
51:56the blood is the primary activator if i might say
52:02it like that it's the activator the blood is what
52:08gets it going okay first timothy four one through five
52:15Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the
52:21faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies and hypocrisy, having
52:27their conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from
52:33meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and
52:39know the truth. Sanctified. Righteous living.
52:44I know I'm redundant and
52:49I'm saying things over and
52:55over, but I'm trying to
53:00hit a point. Righteousness exalteth
53:06the nation. Sin is a
53:11reproach to any land. So
53:17if that does the nation, what's it going
53:22to do for us? Righteousness exalteth us. Righteousness
53:28will open doors for you. It'll also close
53:33doors. It'll lead you and guide you into
53:39all truth. You have to develop into it.
53:45That's what the process is. It's a continual
53:50process, a continual process. Okay, 2 Timothy 2,
53:5620 through 21. Good? No. Okay. It's a
54:01process. Got to understand that. Because some people get
54:07frustrated, you know. 2 Timothy 2, 20 through 21.
54:13But in a great house there are not only
54:18vessels of gold and of silver, but also of
54:24wood and of earth, and some to honor and
54:30some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from
54:35these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and meet
54:41for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. That's
54:47where it comes. Saved, sanctified, and set apart for the master's
54:52use. God will use you. Every person in here, God will
54:58use you. No doubt. No doubt. The Bible
55:04says your gifts will make room for you. Your gift. God's
55:10given everybody in the Bible. He's given everybody a measure of
55:15faith. Okay? So we, he's given him, and we all have
55:21the same opportunity. Everybody in here. Everybody. Okay. Jude, one. The
55:27entire thing? Huh? The entire thing? Excuse me? The entire thing?
55:32No, just one. Okay.
55:41"Jud, the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to them that are
55:47sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus Christ and called." Okay, what
55:52I wanted to show here is that Jud is showing his credentials, kind of,
55:58but then he's writing to those that are--read it again--to them. To
56:04them that are sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus
56:09Christ. So it's everybody. And called. So it's everybody. I just want
56:15to bring. It's all inclusive. Everybody. Okay. We're going for. What time
56:21is it? Okay. We're going for the. This is the final one.
56:26The final one. We're here. We're not at the end yet because
56:32we're still going. But no. This is the final one. Romans 12.
56:381 and 2. This is our life. This is our
56:43work. We have to do this. Where he said, sanctify yourself. This is our
56:49part of the bargain. If you want to call it that. Okay, go ahead.
56:55I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your
57:01bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
57:07and be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the
57:13renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and
57:19acceptable and perfect will of God. Got it? Everybody good? I'm done. Let's
57:25all stand and praise the Lord. I thank God for blessing us, for
57:31blessing the church. He's kept us relatively healthy. I know I was looking
57:37up at the up at the prayer thing doing prayer service there's a lot
57:42of people that are sick now and we've got to remember them a lot of
57:48people fighting cancer a lot of different things but i believe because i've been i've
57:54been reading all these books about miracles signs and wonders and i believe it i
57:59mean back then you know god's the same god same yesterday today and forever
58:05And he can do it. He can do it. I don't care what it is.
58:11He did it for them. He can do it for us. And he'll do it
58:17for us. I believe that. I believe that. It's just we have to keep our
58:22end of the bargain up. We have to press toward the mark of the high
58:28calling of God. That's in Christ Jesus. We've got to press, press, press. All right,
58:33let's all pray and thank God for what he's done for us. Hallelujah.
