Summary
Pastor David T. Elms explores the power of prophetic praise, teaching that true worship happens before the victory is won, and that God is intimately aware of every incidental detail and tied-up area of our lives.
Key points
- •God sees and cares about the incidental details of our lives, just as Jesus knew the exact location and history of the unridden colt before entering Jerusalem.
- •Prophetic praise is the choice to worship God before the battle is fought or the victory is visible, recognizing that our steps are ordered by Him even in chaos.
- •God intentionally seeks out things and people that feel tied down, overlooked, or useless to loose them for His divine purpose.
- •A believer's faithfulness is never in vain, even when life feels daily, heavy, or confusing, because God is already at work in the rest of the story.

This week, when you face a setback or a situation that feels like a detour, pause and offer a prophetic praise. Instead of waiting for the problem to be solved, thank God in advance that He has already ordered your steps and has a purpose for the trial.
Reflection questions
- What areas of your life currently feel like a detour or an accident rather than an intentional step from God?
- Jesus knew the history of the colt that had never been ridden; how does knowing God sees your specific past and present burdens change your outlook?
- What prevents you from offering praise before you see the victory in your current battles?
- In what ways do you feel tied down right now, and how can you invite the Master to loose you for His use?

0:00amen I'm going to speak to you on the subject
0:06prophetic praise prophetic praise in Jesus have you ever noticed
0:12how the most random events in your life in a
0:18curious and interesting way can turn around until there are
0:24anything but random events Something that starts small and confusing
0:29and you're wondering what in the world just happened how and what? Occurred
0:35only to realize later that it was a setup and that it was
0:41anything Except random, but it was a purposeful event someone you met and
0:47you think hmm I didn't expect to run into them and you think
0:52and find out later that somebody was in the middle of a valley and
0:58God rearranged your road, something occurs with a family member and you just got an
1:04idea and intuition to call and you decide, OK, well, I'm going to act on
1:09it. You call them and only to find out they were in the very, very
1:15bottom of a storm. This is what the people of God are striving to
1:20do more of, to be spirit-led and spiritual in our approach to life. And
1:26the longer you live for God, the more you will recognize that these things
1:32that seem to be random are anything but random. In the temple, in
1:38the tabernacle, every offering that was offered from the final cry
1:43of every lamb and the last cry of every oxen and
1:49the call of every turtledove that was sacrificed, all of those
1:54last cries pointed towards Jesus Christ. who the Bible said was the lamb
2:00of God that took away the sin of the whole earth. Every one of those
2:06pointed to Calvary. It pointed to the cross. And we know this
2:12event of the life of Jesus. We have maybe our greatest
2:18spiritual holy day in celebration of Calvary. We call it Resurrection
2:24Sunday or some call it Easter. It's the day we celebrate
2:30an event of the cross, Calvary, a place called Golgotha, a
2:36resurrection that happened on a Sunday morning. But
2:41many times there's a tension that we miss when we're reading through on
2:47our way to the big event. And we forget that many events that
2:53are recorded in the life of Jesus appear to be incidental, but they
2:59are far more than just a coincidence. the conversation by a
3:05whale with a woman at noonday, a meal in a house with the
3:11Pharisee, a walk through a crowded street until a blind man named Bartimaeus
3:17calls out, a borrowed boat that he asked to speak from, even this
3:22straggler Story in our text today, the story of a borrowed donkey. We can get
3:28so caught up in the chase of the big event that we know is coming.
3:34We know that a resurrection is coming. We know because of our Bible understanding that.
3:39these events that happen along the way they just seem like little
3:45speed bumps along the way and unless you stop and recognize why
3:50they are there you can miss the very importance of the purpose
3:56of the scripture at first glance they seem secondary to the main
4:02event in fact I would imagine as you read through the text today that
4:07you knew, you Bible readers knew where we were headed and you knew we
4:13were going to the place where it would be known as the triumphant entry
4:19where Jesus was going to be praised and worshipped and there would be Pharisees
4:24that would get upset and tell him that his disciples were making a racket.
4:30And he would be instructed by these supposed religious leaders that your people are too
4:36vigorous. They are too exuberant. They are making noise a little too loud. In fact,
4:41every once in a while, my watch went off today, and I don't like wearing
4:47it when I preach. In fact, I'm going to take it off because it tells
4:53me I'm jumping too hard. When I'm praising God, I'm sorry, watch, you've never got
4:59the Holy Ghost. Then I said, hallelujah, real loud, and it popped up and it
5:05said, the noise, you are in a loud noise zone. I said, I just made
5:10that noise, okay? So my watch has turned into the religious leader's. What they
5:16said to Jesus was, you need to tell your people to be
5:22less loud, quiet down. And Jesus said, if these hold their peace,
5:28Then the stones are going to cry out and you Bible readers know that that
5:33is in that verse and you shout about it and we're going to shout about
5:39it again and again and again throughout our life. But sometimes there are incidental information.
5:45There is incidental information. And of course, incidental isn't quite the right word because anything
5:51God does, it is good. Whether it's great or small, it's always intentional.
5:57There's no blunders with God. There's no meanderings with the Lord. There's no
6:03wanderings with God. Every step is ordered and the path is lit. And
6:08the word is a lamp to our feet and it's a light unto
6:14our pathway. It may have extra light, but the light is always always
6:20on purpose. Every event in your life, the Bible says, is
6:25ordered of the Lord if you want his way. The steps
6:31of a good man are ordered. of the Lord so it's
6:37not just incidental or accidental or happenstance or Co incidental
6:42there is more to these moments whether it seems great
6:48or small they're not just they're always intentional these little
6:54moments are moments and that's where our text takes us today much
7:00of our life is spent in what feels like moments of the
7:06common many times it feels as if incidentals are strong throughout your
7:11day and incidentals happen and you just have this pop up or that
7:17happens or I see her or I run into that and these moments
7:23that seem like they're just moments, that we didn't plan on. They're far more than
7:28an incident. Sometimes there's detours that we didn't want and we're sit down confused. Why
7:34did I have to have this happen today? But if you live for God very
7:40long, you realize he has a way of turning a flat tire into a blessing.
7:45Somebody knows what I'm talking about. Sometimes he can turn a setback into a set
7:51up and what you thought was a forgotten moment ends up being a remembered moment
7:57that all that time you thought he had left you, he was right there. beside
8:03you that time you thought the heavens were still and covered
8:09and God wasn't hearing you all that time he was down
8:14whispering saying I am here no I am with you always
8:20And that's what I want to talk to you about today. I want to talk
8:25about prophetic praise. I'm not talking about the praise part of the word. I'm talking
8:30about the prophecy part of the word. And it comes by revelation. These moments that
8:35you didn't plan on and detours that you didn't want and hurts. You didn't understand.
8:40You might already know, but God has prepared a way for you. And it's many
8:45times there is a preparation to your life that if you're carnally minded, you don't
8:50see it as a preparation. You think it's an abandonment. But when you learn more
8:56about the Lord, and that's the whole purpose of what I'm telling you today and
9:01the reason God sent me on this July 3rd, fifth Sunday to preach to you
9:07because there is something about praise that just doesn't speak to the anticipated blessing
9:13or to the blessing you know about. It speaks to a blessing you cannot
9:18see, cannot hear, and did not even plan on, but prophetically you know that
9:24he has ordered your steps and that that confusion is not chaos and that
9:30that detour is not The brokenness, that storm is not meant to stir
9:36you into a place of being away, but it is meant to build
9:41you up. Something you cannot see. You want to see it. You try
9:47to see it. You pray to see it. Sometimes you feel so blind.
9:53Sometimes you feel so forgotten. But if you live for God and know like Job
9:59had understood. He said I've looked to the north and the south and the east
10:04and the west and I cannot find him but I have a prophetic utterance that
10:09I'm going to say and that is even though I've looked there and there and
10:14there and there and I cannot find him. I've listened up and I've listened down.
10:20I've listened all around and I cannot hear him. I know Know that he knows
10:24the way that I take things. and when he has tried me when
10:30I'm through this situation he shall bring forth pure God there's gold in
10:36your future even if you cannot believe it if you cannot see it
10:42if you cannot feel it you need to know it down in your
10:48soul there's gold in your future because of whose you are are you
10:53the Lord If you're not the Lord's, I'm not preaching to you today. If you're
10:58not the Lord's, I know why you're here, because you want to be the Lord's.
11:02The Bible tells us about a man who said, who's on the Lord's side? If
11:07there's anybody on the Lord's side, sometimes you got to let your neighbors know I'm
11:12on the Lord's side. You didn't know when you walked out this morning that they
11:17were watching through the curtain, but they saw you get in your car. And when
11:22you did that, they knew that man's on the Lord's side. That family's on the
11:27Lord's side. And when you send that, you're sending a message that I want to
11:32serve him when I feel it and when I don't.
11:38God does not calculate who you are just by where you have been. Deep
11:44inside, you need to understand you're always on his mind and you're always moving
11:50forward. I know most of y'all do not know who Paul Harvey is, but
11:55he used to be an icon in America. And Paul Harvey had the news
12:01every day, and he always did it with a positive pitch. And he was a
12:07part of America's past. But he had this one segment that certain radio stations would
12:12buy in which they would tell the story, and then he would always tell the
12:18rest of the story. The rest does not appear in the story. The rest is
12:24not known in the story. The story looks like there is no rest
12:29of the story. And the devil wants you to think there is no
12:35rest of the story. That everything you know is all the story. That
12:41everything you feel is all the story. And the enemy wants you to think
12:47that there is no continuation in the blessing of God. And so our text
12:53drops into one of those moments on us. And that is one of those
12:58incidental moments, almost seeming to be unexpected. just something thrown as a piece
13:04of information that's loaded. It's loaded with destiny. It's not incidental. It's
13:10intentional. And sometimes because we know the big event, we miss the
13:16silent, subtle, sweet message that the Lord's trying to speak because it's
13:22not always apparent. It's but it's not apparent. I love that little boy
13:28that was interviewed, I guess first time on TV or whatever, and he
13:33loved to say apparently, apparently, and he'd go on, y'all know what I'm
13:39talking about, and apparently, this is apparently, means sometimes it's not apparent.
13:46But when it's apparently, it means maybe you think this is going
13:51on, but apparently something else is going on. It seems like I'm headed
13:57here, but really I'm going somewhere beyond the here that I think
14:03I can see that something seismic is happening. There's a rumbling, rumbling
14:08in our spirit. There's the incident and then there's something that is
14:14a coincident. There's the thing you see and then there's something else
14:20in the middle. of it all something seismic jesus in our text has moved
14:25through all of his ministry through cesarea galilee from the hill country in judea to
14:31the regions round about jerusalem and in and out of jerusalem i mean jordan and
14:37in and out of jerusalem and this time that we're reading about in Mark 11
14:43is not his first visit to Jerusalem, but it will be his last visit
14:49to Jerusalem as a man. Oh, he'll be back in Jerusalem, but he'll be
14:54back in a different form than he was going this time. It would be
15:00his last time, and it was the week that we know of as the
15:06week of his crucifixion, the week where all of All of history would pivot
15:11from forward to backward and all of history would stand and find
15:17its fulcrum from the A.D. and the B.C. and eternity is about
15:23to pivot on this week and these days are laced with destiny
15:28unlike any days before in the history of the universe. or even since that
15:34day. And those Bible readers understand that it has been labeled as the triumphant entry.
15:40It was the entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem. Now, a triumphant entry is a
15:46word that is known throughout history, especially in the ancient world when a Roman general
15:52returned from and winning an amazing victorious battle, the Senate of Rome would come
15:58and have a convocation and decide if they wanted to allow that general to
16:04have what was called a triumphant entry. And if they did so, then they
16:10would get him a chariot with four horses. And they would take, and before he
16:15even got to town, they would clean him up and straighten everything up and get
16:20him perfectly situated. There would be the preparation of the route he would go and
16:25the way he would take. And he would come through the Arc de Triomphe. And
16:29that would be the entrance. And you can go to Rome and see it now.
16:34They have built one in Paris that's amazing. And we're going to have one in
16:39Washington, D.C. that the original architect of the city wanted from its beginning. Every great
16:44city throughout Europe has this Arc de Triomphe. This place which is an arch which
16:49was the beginning of this formal decision that the general to be celebrated would
16:55start in this arch and then he would go through the city in a
17:01chariot led by four horses. In that chariot he would never ride alone. The
17:06place would be lined with symbols of victory. Palm trees would wave and the
17:12word palma in Latin literally has the idea of victory in it and then
17:18they would take laurels and a golden crown and a servant would be in the
17:24chariot with him as he went into the city and would hold this crown over
17:30his head and every so often as he drove through the city the duty of
17:36that servant was to lean into his ear while he was writing and whisper thou
17:42art but a man you will Why did they do
17:47it? It seems like a heaviness to have to include that. But Rome had decided
17:53that in spite of all the celebration of this man, they wanted to remind him
17:59that no matter what you see in the heights of this earth, you're going to
18:04die. You're just a man. And even at the height of the celebration was that
18:10the message you need to remember is you're still immortal. So this was
18:15a celebration of a great victory. In our text here, Jesus is entering Jerusalem, but
18:21it's unusual. It's something curious about it. They do get the palm branches, and of
18:26course, they do have a situation about this triumphal entry, and there's a lot of
18:32singing and coats laid down in front of him, but the curiosity about this is
18:37that it is not after his greatest battle.
18:44Before he's crucified, before he feels the fists of the Roman
18:50centurion, before he feels the cat of nine tails whip his
18:56back, before his greatest fear, Prayer in Gethsemane. Before he's betrayed by
19:02a friend. There's already this triumphant entry, it seems, out of sorts. It's not
19:07the model. It's not the way that it's supposed to happen. And here he
19:13is already being celebrated. But before the battle, before he has nails in his
19:19hands and before he prays, Father, forgive them for they know not what they
19:25do. Before he says it is finished. finished, he said that they
19:30should not stop praising him. The question that arises, was
19:36this premature praise or was it prophetic praise? You know
19:42the answer. Here's the takeaway of this message today. The
19:48big idea is number one, triumphant starts. in
19:54this kingdom understanding that praise can lead you to the battle that
20:00before the battle is won you're already supposed to be thanking God
20:06for the victory you're not supposed to wait until after you've won
20:12the victory to start your worship but your praise has to have
20:17tones of prophecy in it I don't see the victory I have yet
20:23to fight the fight I have yet to suffer the betrayal I have yet
20:29to pray if it's possible get me out of this but before I pray
20:35that prayer I'm already gonna praise in a prophetic way and so this house
20:41is built on praises that's not just in yesterday there's praises that built in
20:46front of your battle I've watched some of you come
20:52to this church and I knew you were in the middle of a dry
20:58place. I knew you had battles yet in front of you. I knew the
21:03last word had not been written. I knew you had another valley to cross.
21:09I knew you had a river in front of you. I knew you had
21:14mountain ranges to go. And yet there you go. Praise in the
21:20Lord. Why? It wasn't because the battle was
21:26over, but because you understood the power of
21:32prophetic praise. Hallelujah. That's the reason the house of God is always
21:38filled with praise. That's the reason the people of God will always be praisers. It's
21:43not because we've always got it situated. It might be that we see the storm
21:48coming real hard. There's a tsunami of storms coming at us. And so we decide,
21:54I see you, so I'm going to just start praising prophetically. I don't know that
21:59I know right where I'm at. I can't figure what he's doing, what's With me.
22:04I don't know what he's doing for me, but I
22:10know one thing Hello, I am with you always whoa
22:16I know that all things work together for the good
22:22to them who are the called The next thing is
22:28that God's got a soft spot for tied up things
22:34Jesus likes to use things that seem useless and overlooked
22:41I stand here in my red, white and blue, and I thank God for
22:47America. I salute America. I sing America songs. I thank God for America. America
22:52is a wonderful, amazing nation. I have friends who live in Canada. I promise
22:58you, you ought to be glad you don't live in Canada when it comes
23:04to faith. They shut down churches during COVID. This was one of the only
23:10nations in the world that could have church during COVID. And we know it because
23:16there were some churches in states that were shut down from having church in COVID,
23:20but they had church anyway. In spite of what everybody said, they had church anyway.
23:25And you know what happened? It went to the Supreme Court and the nation was
23:30going to try to give them a hand slap for having church anyway. Oh, the
23:34bars could be open, but we're going to shut down the churches anyway. And these
23:39churches went on and had church anyway. And you know what the Supreme Court said?
23:44The Supreme Court said that church was right and the government was wrong. It was
23:49won in the Supreme Court that you can have church no matter what. It's not
23:54that way in Australia. It's not that way in Europe. It's not that way in
23:59Canada. But we have a nation that at least for right now says we're not
24:04gonna stop the praise and the worship and I wanna stand here and
24:10say God bless America I thank God for America I thank God for
24:15every missionary that is from America I thank God for every American dollar
24:21that has gone around the world to help people get clean water I
24:26thank God for every company in America that has gone out to help People
24:32keep from being sick, from having trouble. I thank God for the mercy ship. I
24:38thank God for every person who fought in the Civil War to end slavery. I
24:43thank God for every person who walked with Miss Jane Pittman, who went to that
24:49supposed white orphanage. Water fountain and they went and they said alright miss Jane you
24:54drink first and then I'll drink I thank God for a nation built on people
25:00that know there's wrongs that are gonna keep showing up But they're gonna keep fighting
25:06to right every wrong It's a nation that it may not always get it right
25:11But let us keep going because this is a nation like no other when it
25:17comes to God Oh yes,
25:23there's godlessness here, but I'm not going to tell you that godlessness is the whole
25:28tone of this nation. Because honestly, it is built on God. And if you
25:34go to Washington and look around, etched in granite and marble and every fixture
25:40of that city is in God we trust. There's God in all of our
25:46writing. Every state constitution has God in the first paragraph. Everyone talks about the
25:52divine purpose of this nation. Alec Dick Tocqueville came and interviewed America. as he
25:58came from godless France and tried to see how in the world is this going
26:04to last. And when he went back, he said it's because of the foundation of
26:10faith that that nation is built on. That's the only way that republic and democracy
26:15can stand is because of a people who do love God. So here we understand
26:21in America that there's some great things in our past, but there are also concerning
26:27things. There are things that are happening around about that we don't know about. I
26:32don't understand. AI has caused a lot of worry in America. And there are some
26:37ridiculous Chinese money that's really trying to push us to not adopt AI. And when
26:42you really look down, they don't want us because they want to get ahead of
26:47us and get more powerful. And I know all the negative news on AI, but
26:51stop driving a car if you don't want technology. Okay, just stop. Don't use their
26:57phone ever again if you don't want technology. And so there's this process that always
27:02happens and there's always this aversion to technology as it comes. And there's so much
27:07discomfort about what is AI going to do to my jobs? And what is AI
27:12going to do to our money? And what is AI going to do? And I
27:17don't know. I don't have the answers for it all. AI could be the beast
27:21for all I know. AI could be the thing that they end up worshiping. But
27:25until it is, it's not. Because the beast has got to die, and I don't
27:30think AI can be killed. You know, if it's not going to grow here, it's
27:35going to grow in China. So somewhere it's going to grow. If it's not there,
27:40it's going to grow somewhere. So there's all of these fears, and they're so popular
27:44in the paper, the newspaper, that even right now there's this aversion to listening to
27:49what I'm saying. But I'm telling you right now, I proclaim in Jesus' name that
27:54no matter what tomorrow brings, Prophecy says it's going to get bad. There's going to
27:59be wars and rumors of wars. There's going to be earthquakes in various places. Evil
28:04men shall wax worse. And this is the Bible. This is not me being negative.
28:10It's not me being anti-technological. It's what the Bible says. Evil men shall wax worse
28:16and worse. You can't stop it no matter what you try to stop. And so
28:21what does God tell us to do? He said, I want you to understand, I've
28:27got it all figured out. And that's the point of this text today. Here...
28:33is the Lord on his way into Jerusalem. He's going into Jerusalem and
28:38he's going to a place that Peter already knows it's going to be
28:44bad for you. Simon Peter has read the news headlines. Where you're
28:49going is going to be terrible for you. And he tries to stop
28:55Jesus and said, let's do not go now. The last thing we need
29:01to do is go into this now. And Jesus tells him, he said,
29:07get thee behind me, Satan. Peter's being called Satan by
29:12Jesus. Somebody said Jesus doesn't call names. Oh, yes, he does. He
29:18called the Pharisees whited graves. He called them vipers. He called Peter
29:23Satan. I mean, listen, but when he says it, he's being really
29:29accurate. It's not to get back at you. It's trying to reveal
29:35you. And so here he is. And Peter, the Bible said he
29:40set his face to go to Jerusalem. And here's the little things that
29:46I want you to understand. They're on their way to Jerusalem. And there, before they
29:52get there, in our text, Jesus sends his disciples, and it's these little details, to
29:58a place in town where there would be a house. When you enter the city,
30:04at the door, at the gate of the city, there's a house. And at that
30:10house, there's a donkey, and there's a colt. And this colt has never been ridden.
30:16And this coat will be tied up next to the house. Now, I know you're
30:21bored with all of this because you're wanting to go on to the praise mountain.
30:26But I want to tell you something. This is the Holy Ghost trying to tell
30:30you something. When he told them, he said, when you get to there. There's a
30:35horse, and then there's a colt that's never been ridden, and there's going to be,
30:40you're going to have to go, and somebody's going to be standing there, and you're
30:45going to ask for the colt, and they're going to say, what do you need
30:49this colt for? When they ask that question, you tell them, the master hath need
30:54of this colt that's never been ridden. And Jesus, then they'll tell you, go ahead
30:59and take the colt. Now, why is all of that very important? Because while we're
31:04trying to get to the shout the Lord's trying to tell you all those incidents
31:09along the way that seemed to be Accidents he knew about them the whole time.
31:14He knew that that cult had a history He knew the history of that cult.
31:20He knew where it would be. He knew that it would be tied He knew
31:25that the owners would be curious enough to ask well Why do you need that?
31:30So he knew the perfect answer to tell his disciples that this cult had never
31:36been broken, never been ridden, but don't worry, I'm the rider that's never been thrown.
31:42So go ahead and bring me the cult that's never been ridden because he is
31:47there for me. Jesus knew everything about this simple animal that we're
31:53not interested in because we know they're about to shout entering Jerusalem.
31:59But Jesus knew the animal's past. He knew its present. He knew that
32:04it was still tied up. He knew exactly where it stood on that day. How
32:10many times do we wonder if God knows where we're at? If he has a
32:15clue what we're going through? We know there's a rapture coming, but we're not sure
32:20that the middle of that headache with our vehicle problem or that situation with working
32:25with our boss, that the Lord is not aware of those things. And in our
32:30text, God is saying you think it's just about the triumphant entry you think
32:36it's just about the rapture no I know every little detail of what you're
32:42going through I've already seen it I knew where I was coming from I
32:47knew where I was going and if you'll just trust me you'll understand there
32:53is a rest of the story does God know how I feel where am
32:59I God you know my financial situation Lord Are you aware what my children
33:05have been saying lately? Do you know how I've been treated? Do you feel the
33:10burden that I'm carrying? Do you know what the doctor just said to me? Do
33:15you know what the report came back as? Do you know what I have on
33:20the schedule this week, Lord? And the Lord is trying to tell us. I know
33:25about the cold. I know where it came from. I knew if it was ever
33:29ridden. know that it's still tied up the incidents in your life are known sister
33:35Elms come musicians come the incidents in your life are not accidents there are coincidence
33:41you just see it's an incident but there's something else working for your good that
33:46if you're not aware what seems to be against you it's really sent to help
33:52you then you won't know how to praise prophetically you won't know how to
33:57worship because the storm will serve to shut you down
34:03Jesus knows all about my trouble he will guide till
34:09the day is done there's not a friend like the
34:14lowly Jesus no not one No, not one every weapon formed against
34:20you cannot prosper You may pour your heart out to a friend. You may
34:26have somebody you like to talk to about your troubles You may have somebody
34:31who is real good at understanding what you're facing right now but if you
34:37will understand pour your heart out to Jesus because he knows He knows. He knows.
34:43He knows when you feel alone. He knows when you feel abandoned. He knows when
34:48you feel sick. He knows when the trouble seems to have come out of nowhere.
34:53He knows when it wasn't a part of your calendar. He knows how you planned
34:58your life out and now you had this curve ball and it's not a part
35:03of your plans. Jesus knows that every morning sometimes you wake up and you feel
35:09tied down and you feel like circumstances have got you that you can't ever go
35:15free again. It might be physical situation. It might be financial or mental or emotional.
35:20It can be mental. many things and you forget that it's not just about a
35:26rapture it's not just about a new Jerusalem coming out of God out from God
35:31out of heaven it's not just about Israel taking over and and being revived by
35:36their Messiah it's not just about Messiah coming back when all the nations of the
35:42world will come against God's people and God's bride will come and bail them
35:47out. It's more than all of those things. It is understanding that
35:53despite depression and despondency and misery and bipolar days, yes, I said
35:59it, despite feeling like failure and unwanted and rejected, God has his
36:05eye on his people and he's got a soft spot for those
36:11that seem to be tied down. Lord, if I could just get
36:17free of this. When Jesus came, he said, The Spirit of
36:23the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the
36:29gospel to the poor. He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to
36:35preach deliverance to those who are tied down, recovery of sight to the
36:41blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised. Yes, it's about your
36:46feelings in the daily. You know, life is so daily, isn't it? I
36:52mean, I thank God for this great celebration, but Monday's on the way.
37:03There's a bill due on the 15th. Some of y'all, y'all, y'all just like,
37:09you're just like me. When the 4th shows up or the 5th shows up,
37:14I know there's a withdrawal on the 12th. So I'm always trying to dance.
37:20Is that on Friday or, I mean, is that a Saturday or Sunday? I'm
37:26trying to figure out because I know maybe there's a reprieve on Saturday and
37:32Sunday. So it might be early. It might come out on Friday. It might
37:37come out on Monday. You're trying to figure out where is it coming out?
37:43What's in there? You go in and you say, who used
37:49the ATM card? What's going on? You wake up in the middle
37:55of the night and you got just an email from Wells Fargo.
38:01What's that thing? What's that? We get an email, baby. Yeah. What's
38:07that when they transfer from one account to another? What's it? Overdraft
38:13protection. I know y'all are all so organized. You don't even know
38:19about those emails. I was like, I don't know. Y'all got it
38:25like that, man. You didn't even know those words went
38:30together. You can get to a place where you go
38:36to where the overdraft is looking. Sometimes you look at
38:42where it's supposed to look. Where's the overdraft gonna look?
38:47It is so easy to believe the report that all
38:53your prayer was in vain, and all your worship is
38:59a fraud, and all your faithfulness didn't matter. One of
39:04God's assignments to every man and woman of God is
39:10to tell your friends your faithfulness is not in vain.
39:18Why don't you turn to your neighbor right now
39:23and tell them that? Melanie, your faithfulness is not
39:29in vain. Armando. You want to know what to
39:34speak positive all week? Just get that line. That
39:40one will work all week long. Your faithfulness is
39:45not in vain. There's a word in the Old
39:51Testament where the prophet spoke for the Lord. And
39:56the Lord said, I have not said to you,
40:01seek ye me in vain. Now I know
40:07that may not be perfect English for our modern day casual ear. But when
40:13you break out what God is saying, he's saying, when you pray, they came
40:18to Jesus and Peter drew his sword out because he thought the only way
40:24to get Jesus out of this Gotha and Gethsemane trouble was to pull him
40:29out the sword and fight his way out. And Jesus turned to Peter and
40:35said, put your sword away. And while he's putting his sword away, The
40:41Lord reached over to Peter and leaned forward. He said,
40:47this is King James, all right? This is what he
40:53said to King James. Thinkest thou that I cannot now
40:59pray? You think that I can't pray and the Lord
41:05could send me 10,000? Now, this is the part of
41:11the prayer that it's hard for us to pray. But
41:17the Lord said, I'm going through this because it's fulfilling
41:23righteousness. Now the Lord did all of
41:28that, but there's some righteousness we gotta fulfill too, like faithful consecration. Sometimes
41:34when we talk to the Lord, have you ever been to the place
41:40where you don't even know how to pray? You blunder and it's like,
41:46Lord, Lord. You don't even know how to pray. There's so much chaos
41:52going on in the last report you got. That thing that came in
41:57the mail. I love my wife. I love her so much. But then
42:03my wife has this beautiful, blessed joy. that she handles all the mail.
42:09Baby, I love you. Positive. I'm going to speak positive about you. Positive about my
42:14wife. Sometimes we get serious mail, okay? It's the serious mail. I mean, you know,
42:20you know when you get that mail. There's all the junk mail, and then there's
42:26fun mail, and then there's fake mail, and then there's the check mail. My wife
42:31most of the time will give me the check mail. I thank you for that.
42:37Yeah, yeah. It's hot. It's hot. same pot she has
42:42access to my account some of you men listening when we
42:48get that serious mail melanie will take it and put it
42:54right where i put my wallet listen if there's folds in
43:00it she has unfolded it she has set that out and
43:06then if there's another one she lays it right like that
43:11and i'll come i'll come home from a long day's night
43:19I walk in at the last evening, I'm thinking the day is done, I'm not
43:25going to carry this. And I'll get situated and my wife will spin around and
43:31pivot around the door. And she'll say, did you see what I, did you see
43:36what I left for you? And in my mind I think, okay babe, I love
43:42you. I'll look at it in the morning because it's after five and there's no
43:48business done. I'll handle it at 7 so I can get on it
43:54at 8. But no, no, no, no, no. It's supposed to be figured out
44:00at 11 p.m. There's some times when you're going through stuff. Shall we stand?
44:05You're going through stuff. You don't know how to pray. Some of you are
44:11going to come to this altar right now and you won't even know how
44:17to pray. I want to tell you, the Lord knows what you're saying when
44:23all you know how to say is, oh, me. The Lord prays prayers for
44:28you. that you don't know how to do anything but
44:34moan. He's not having you figure it out. He already
44:40knows where you're at and that you're tied. He sent
44:46me to tell you today. He sent me on purpose
44:52to tell you, be not weary in well-doing, for you
44:57shall reap in due season if you faint not. Oh,
45:03Lord, help us know that our incidents on that accident.
45:09Help us know that where we're going right now, we're
45:15not forgotten. and as i open this altar lord the people that want to come
45:20to pray some of them won't even know how to pray they're just going to
45:25walk up here and they're going to say lord i'm going to offer you a
45:29prophetic praise not because i know what tomorrow brings because i don't have a clue
45:34what tomorrow brings i don't even know how to figure out today but But I'm
45:38going to bring to you a prophetic praise. In other words, I'm going to have
45:43a triumphant entry before the battle is even fought. And I'm going to understand that
45:48even though I'm tied down, you know where I'm at. And you're sending your people
45:53you're sending your disciples you're sending your way to talk to those around me and
45:59i will be loosed and jesus said loose him and bring him to me i
46:05command you in the name of jesus christ to be loose today and brought to
46:11jesus this altar's open This altar's open. I know you're not a cult. I know
46:17you're not just a cult today. But the word of the Lord has come to
46:22say you are to be loosed and you are to be brought to the master
46:28because he wants you to know you're on purpose. You're in a place that he
46:34has prepared. You're on a step that he has known about. He knows your past.
46:39He knows what you're tied down from. He knows who thinks they
46:45have authority over you. He's got the words to relieve you and
46:50release you. He's gonna use you. He's gonna use you. I'm talking
