Summary

Pastor David T. Elms explores the magnitude of 'so great salvation,' emphasizing that God created the entire universe as a preparation for humanity to lead and have dominion. He highlights that regardless of one's past or labels, redemption offers a total transformation that brings many sons and daughters into their intended glory.

Key points
  • Man is the crown jewel of God's creation, designed for dominion and preordained to receive an inheritance far above angels.
  • Redemption is the ultimate reclaimation project, where God reaches into the lowest pits of human sin to restore purpose and worth.
  • Church is not about entertainment or social demographics. It is a portal for the Kingdom of God focused on the value of the individual soul.
  • Believers are free moral agents who are not victims of their past, culture, or family lineages but are empowered to choose life and righteousness.
  • The 'so great salvation' mentioned in Hebrews is intended to bring 'many sons unto glory,' moving beyond temporary struggles into an eternal destiny.

Refuse to accept labels or monikers the world tries to place on you this week. Instead, live with the confidence that you were created for dominion by starting each day putting on the whole armor of God to ward off the enemy's discouragement.

Reflection questions
  1. How does the realization that everything in creation was physically prepared for humanity change how you view your daily environment?
  2. In what ways have you allowed past labels or family history to dictate your identity rather than the redemption of Christ?
  3. Pastor Elms mentioned that angels 'peer deeply' into redeemed hearts. Why do you think your salvation is such a wonder to the heavenly host?
  4. What specific 'dominion' has God given you in your current season of life that you need to step into more fully?

0:00a payment coming for the people of God, and, what a delight it is. Well, let us go to the word of the lord tonight.
0:01I invite your attention as we continue through harvest,
0:05month,
0:06to the second chapter of the book of Hebrews,
0:11and we will read verses one
0:13through
0:14verse 10.
0:16Verses one through verse 10. My subject today is many
0:20sons
0:22into glory.
0:23Many sons into glory. The church is here on purpose.
0:28And when we worship tonight,
0:30it wasn't so we could just have a neat little emotional
0:33experience.
0:34It was so that our soul could get connected to its eternity
0:38because every one of you
0:40are just
0:41scratching the surface
0:43of what god intended for you to be,
0:47and your greatest realization of who you were created to be will not be in this life.
0:55Okay. I just went ahead
0:57and slipped on into it.
0:59Therefore,
1:00we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard,
1:05lest at any time we should let them slip.
1:09For if the word spoken by angels
1:12was steadfast,
1:14and everybody say it was steadfast.
1:18It it it says if it was steadfast, but you and I know it was steadfast.
1:24If the word spoken by angels was steadfast and every
1:28transgression
1:29and disobedience
1:31received a just recompense of reward,
1:35you guys, every sin,
1:37every uncovered sin,
1:39every,
1:40thing that has been done is gonna receive a just
1:44recompense. I know we think we can sweep things under the carpet and slip by, and, you know, if it happened two months ago and nobody caught us on it, it's getting by. No. No. No. No. No. Just remember what the Bible says. Everything
1:56will be judged.
1:58How shall we escape? And remember, this is written to the church,
2:03the believers
2:04who are followers after God. In fact, the opening is the Hebrews which were spread abroad.
2:10How shall we escape if we neglect? What is it called?
2:15So great salvation,
2:17which at the first
2:19began to be spoken by the Lord
2:21and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.
2:27God also bearing them witness both with signs and wonders and with diverse
2:34divers is a biblical term that means diverse,
2:37various with diverse miracles
2:40and gifts of holy of the holy ghost according to his own will.
2:45For unto the angels,
2:47hath he not put
2:49in subjection
2:51the world to come
2:53whereof we speak.
2:55So there's a world to come, everybody.
2:58There's a world to come.
3:00He has not put it under subjection to the angels,
3:04but one in a certain place testified saying
3:08alright. We're talking about a world to come
3:11that he is putting in subjection
3:14to somebody.
3:16And the writer said it was said
3:19in it's Psalms eight six, but he's quoting it here. What is man
3:24that thou art mindful of him or the son of man that thou visitest
3:29him?
3:30And he goes on to say
3:36I'm trying to read from the top up there, and it was lagging.
3:40Thou madest him a little lower than the angels.
3:43Thou crowned us him with glory and honor
3:46and did set him over
3:49the works of thy hands. Who was set over the works of the hands of the lord?
3:55Man. Everybody say man. Man. Say that means me.
4:00We are
4:01we are set over the works of the creation of God.
4:04Thou has put all things in subjection
4:08under his feet
4:10For in that he put
4:12all in subjection
4:14under him,
4:15he left nothing that is not
4:18I got a fast trigger back there. I'm telling you, I need some help.
4:23Let me see if I can read it from right here.
4:28Alright. Is it back?
4:30I'm gonna Miriam, I'm gonna put a hurting on you, girl.
4:33She can see. You're playing with me. Is it her back there now? She's hiding from me.
4:39Don't be playing with the preacher in front of these people. I'll go l x m on you.
4:43You think WWF is something? He doesn't have glasses besides your bed.
4:48I don't have my glasses, folks. I'm getting old.
4:52That's but all things in subjection under his feet for in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him, but until
5:01but now we see not yet all things put under him. Right now,
5:07all things
5:08does this make sense?
5:10All things are not subject to us.
5:13Not right now.
5:15But
5:16who walked on water?
5:21Who raised the dead? I know Peter's right, but he's also wrong. Okay? He fell in water too.
5:26Don't be sassy on me. I love it.
5:30We see Jesus
5:33who was made a little lower than the angels. Who was made lower than the angels?
5:39What? Did did we say that out loud?
5:42Jesus was made he was made in like image as of we, which is
5:49strategically
5:50a little lower than the angels.
5:54For the suffering of death.
5:56He crowned him with glory and honor that he, by the grace of God, should taste death for
6:03every man.
6:07For it became him,
6:10for whom are all things
6:12and by whom are all things.
6:16He's talking about Jesus.
6:18He created all things.
6:20Whatever made or was made, he made it all.
6:23For it became him for whom all things
6:27and by whom all things in bringing,
6:30everybody say many Many.
6:32Sons
6:37unto glory. Many sons. We're we're in a harvest month
6:40and bringing many sons unto glory
6:43to make the captain
6:45of their salvation
6:46perfect
6:47through sufferings. Father, we thank you for your word. I want to break it down for your people tonight in a way that empowers
6:54their prayer, that fuels their worship, that encourages
6:59their outreach,
7:00that makes them burning brands of evangelism
7:03to go into a world and look into everybody's eyes and realize I have a cause on this earth, and it's to bring many sons into glory.
7:12We thank you for your love and grace. We thank you for touching us this night with your precious word. In Jesus' precious name, amen.
7:22Amen. Thank you for your standing.
7:25Please be seated.
7:28Hallelujah.
7:30Hallelujah. Tonight wasn't the worship outstanding.
7:34I commend you. Some of you took steps in worship that hell never wanted you to take.
7:39Some of you took a step into a depth of worship that as of before now,
7:45you have not taken that step before.
7:47And I want to encourage you. The Holy Ghost knows
7:51that little step you took, but it is a step that can turn into a run
7:57as you become a worshiper
7:59and as you become what impersonifies
8:02what the world would call a woman of God or a man of God. This text, as much as anything else in the Bible, states
8:11the magnitude
8:12of salvation.
8:14It calls it
8:15so
8:16great
8:17salvation.
8:19And if we talked about it all night long, we could not emphasize
8:23the magnitude
8:25of this wonderful,
8:27wonderful
8:28salvation.
8:29It's hard to comprehend when you're immersed in the culture and
8:34inundated with the news and covered
8:37with all of the temporary
8:39pursuits
8:40that seems so important,
8:42but time reveals them to be
8:45vastly
8:47trivial.
8:48The investment
8:49makes,
8:50that one makes into salvation,
8:53whether it be the effort that you expended in coming to church tonight
8:58or the preparation of your heart in making sure
9:02when Sunday rolls around, you are in an atmosphere
9:05of worship before you come through the door. See, serving God doesn't happen because the song was correct when you arrived or because the sermon happened to tickle your fancy. No.
9:16You you you serve the Lord because every day you put on
9:20the whole armor of God, whereby
9:23we
9:24we
9:25fight against the devil, and we put on a helmet of salvation and a breastplate of righteousness,
9:30and we carry a shield of faith and a sword of the spirit, and we have a girdle of truth and boots of the preparation,
9:39of the gospel of peace. This is the whole
9:42armor of God whereby
9:43we ward off,
9:45ward off. That means they're coming at you, and they're going to hit you
9:50if you don't put on something to
9:53glance them off of you. They're coming at you. They've got you in their radar,
9:58and you have to have equipment to ward off
10:02the fiery darts
10:04of the devil.
10:05And, the investment that you make,
10:08in all other investments
10:11shrink in comparison
10:13to the importance and magnitude
10:16of the investment that you make in coming
10:19to the kingdom of God. The house of God is a portal
10:23for the kingdom of God. I I met a few folks on the way into church this morning. They were here I mean, this morning. Yeah. It's still morning to me. No. This evening, and and they were here early, and and what a joy it was to talk with them in the in the parking lot. And then I said, I need to get in there and pray just a touch. Why? It's not because I'm punching a clock. It's not because
10:44of just trying to say, well, that's what you do when you get hired to be the pastor. Of course, it doesn't work like that. But if you think it does, think you can have fun with that.
10:52But, you know, you go and that's what you're supposed to do. No. It's a preparation.
10:57It's an investment
10:58into
10:59the kingdom of which is more real
11:02than the kingdom that I'm in right now on this earth.
11:06And because amazingly,
11:08God believes that you and I
11:11are worth his
11:13everything.
11:14The potential of what you can be through Jesus Christ
11:18is worth the cost for him, which is great.
11:22Redemption,
11:23its price is tremendous.
11:26Life is never cheap. In fact, life
11:29is extremely
11:30expensive.
11:31Job seven seventeen, the question was asked, what is man
11:36that thou shouldest
11:37magnify
11:38him
11:39or that thou shouldest
11:41set thine
11:42heart upon him. And so here we are in all the things that were made in all of creation.
11:49The Bible distills it down and deduces it to a hierarchy
11:54of importance, and there is nothing in all of God's hierarchy
11:59that is as the scripture defines
12:02is more
12:03important
12:04than humanity.
12:06Not an angel, not a cherubim,
12:08not a seraphim,
12:10not a creation,
12:12not an animal,
12:14not Leviathan,
12:15not any beast of the field is more important
12:19that God didn't
12:21magnify
12:22mankind, and the Lord set his heart upon
12:26mankind. He placed us as his
12:29personal
12:31representative
12:32on the earth. Psalm eight six six I mean, eight verse six says, thou made us him to have, everybody say, dominion.
12:39Dominion.
12:40Dominion
12:41over the works of thy hands.
12:43Thou has put all things under his feet. It's talking about you and I. God created
12:50everything
12:51from Jupiter and Mars, from Saturn to all the galaxies,
12:56the pillars of creation, all of it is for man
13:01kind. The Bible does not ever extol human goodness.
13:05I know people sometimes think in their philosophy courses that all men have an inherent goodness about them. The Bible never says that. In fact, the Bible says the opposite.
13:15The Bible says there is none good
13:18but God.
13:19Now I know there are some good people in this world, but overall,
13:23it's because of the shaping and the reshaping of their character.
13:28They didn't get that way naturally. They got there by discipline,
13:32by denial,
13:33by discipleship to things and principles
13:37that mattered. The Bible does not extol human goodness, but the Bible does
13:42elevate and extol human life.
13:45Nothing that God made in all of his creation can tumble as low as man can tumble
13:52in the hierarchy of life.
13:55Men can go as low to where they're lower than the beasts of the field
13:59in the things they do. They can be much more evil than any beast of the field. I know occasionally
14:07in Africa, you can come across a rogue elephant or maybe
14:12a
14:13gorilla that somewhat has killing on its mind, but it is nowhere in all of creation that you can encounter
14:21the level of of evil
14:23and sinister
14:25actions that you can encounter in fallen
14:28humanity.
14:30Men who kill just for the act of killing. Men who who bring pain and harm and hurt on others
14:38just because
14:39of of just the want to.
14:42Men can become as foul
14:44as any creation. In fact, more foul than any creation can, but by the same token,
14:50nothing can rise as high
14:53in all of
14:54creation as man can rise. It's two
14:57trajectories.
14:58It's achieving
15:00either the mean
15:02and the evil and the harmful,
15:04or it's achieving
15:06the helpfulness and the compassion
15:08and the the love that is given to us. Greater love hath no man than this, than for a man to give his life for his friend. And that's what makes the story
15:21of redemption so amazing.
15:23It's awesome.
15:24Everybody
15:25needs to understand
15:27redemption
15:28is the greatest story on this earth. It matters not how low, how terrible,
15:33how much you've stolen, how evil you've been in your life. The Lord has a redemption that can build you back up. No matter what you've been labeled in all your days, they can call you and say you're this, that, and the other. They can turn you from a name into a number, but you'll never be a number to the lord Jesus Christ.
15:53He said that redemption
15:56draweth nigh. The old timers sing it like this. I've been redeemed
16:01by blood divine.
16:03Oh, glory, glory.
16:05Christ is mine.
16:07My all to him,
16:09I now resign.
16:11I have been
16:12I have been
16:14redeemed.
16:16What does it mean? It means redemption
16:18came my way. I was broken. I was undone. I don't care what my last name was. It doesn't matter who my parents were. It doesn't matter who my grandparents were. I've had two ways that I could choose every day. I could choose a way of life or I could choose a way of cursing. I could choose a way of promise or I could choose a way of, of all kinds of pain. I could choose it every day. And when redemption
16:42comes on you, when redemption
16:45renames you and reclaims you and resituates
16:49you, and it takes your feet from the way of the fowl and turns it into the way of favor, then you realize
16:56God gave me a song.
17:02Redemption is tremendous.
17:04Redemption is awesome.
17:06And,
17:08by the same token, that's what makes this world system so ugly. They want to label you, and then they think they've got something on you, And then they think they can put that on you the rest of your life. That's the reason I don't ever want to know people by labels.
17:20No. No. No. I won't even accept the labels that their shirts tell me about them.
17:24I don't care what if you come looking at me like an animal in my mind, if you've grown out every hair on your head to make yourself look like a lion,
17:33in my mind, I'm gonna make you look like the five year old little boy you were one day running around bringing joy to your grandparents.
17:41Your visage will not scare me. You can put on whatever shirt you want that tries to frame you or frame me,
17:49but I will not allow for the clothes you wear to dictate what I know God created for you to be.
17:55We will not fall in the sandboxes
17:58that this world tries to situate one another in. It doesn't matter where you were born the first time. What matters is were you born a second time. It doesn't matter where you were raised the first time. It matters where you're choosing to walk this time. You could be raised on the worst street in Fort Lauderdale,
18:17but be the first one in the altar of the Lord. And you could be raised at the foot of the altar and be the first one in the evil place of the land. Why? Because every man gets to choose every day. You're not a victim of somebody else's decision.
18:33You are the choice of your own decision.
18:38What it makes this world system so ugly is they try to put a moniker on you and brand you
18:44and name you and call you Slick Willie, and you're supposed to be slick the rest of your days or
18:51or or label you some term.
18:53But the Lord takes all of that and turns it around.
18:57He and the enemy is always trying to insult and degrade what God made in his own image. You were made to be a little lower than the angels, but you get enough dope in you, and you'll start stealing from your own mother.
19:11You get enough of the of degrading of this world that you'll start beating the people that you love the most
19:18because hell just degrades and tears down until
19:22pain is what the home is known by instead of tranquility and hope because the devil is always out to sink men to the lowest common denominator,
19:33to increase their pain, to cheapen their existence,
19:36to blind their soul where they cannot even see the day they're walking in. They cannot even see their blessings because all they hear is the echoes of our curses.
19:46And I've come to proclaim
19:48that this church is built on redemption.
19:51And that means when we open the doors of this house, I don't care who you are. God will reach down where you're at, and he'll pull you out.
20:06He gives reform.
20:08He gives progress.
20:10He makes renewal.
20:12He turns revival out. People who never thought they would ever hear themselves pray
20:17because they've never thought they had the worth to pray.
20:20They never thought they had a mind to pray.
20:23They can come and everybody sit down, and they can lift their voice and be heard praying because hell tried to mute them.
20:30Hell tried to make them to where they had no ability to speak. Just like in the old days, they would take the the defeated and cut their tongue out because it was the worst thing that could be done to somebody captured was to be able to take their ability to communicate away from them. And hell has tried to spiritually
20:50cut your speaking instrument out, but some of you are discovering your voice, and you're finding out that you too can say
20:58hallelujah.
21:00You too can be heard saying,
21:02He is good
21:03in my life. He is a blessing.
21:06He is a giver of all blessing.
21:08Oh, how good.
21:10Oh, how perfect is our lord.
21:12You can hear yourself
21:14because you're reformed,
21:16and you're redeemed, and you're revived.
21:24We have convictions
21:25awakened.
21:26Things that we used to do, we won't do anymore
21:30because there's rules that we adhere to, not imposed upon us by a preacher or by some standard, but church group. No. It's the rules of choices. If I know the way of righteousness, and you can't pull me off that way. You can lock me up, but you're not pulling me off that trail. You can talk bad about me, but you're not gonna pull me off that trail. You can try to abuse me, but you're not getting me off the straight and narrow.
21:56Oh, world. All we wanna walk on is the King's Highway.
22:00We will not look to the left nor to the right, but all we're doing is gonna stay on the King's Highway
22:06because just beyond the horizon
22:09is a land that is Beulah land.
22:12It's a land that's foursquare
22:14made from God in heaven, and it's for us.
22:18Whenever a people are reduced to demographics
22:21and digits
22:22where you're just a tax source
22:24or you're just an interchangeable
22:27mob,
22:27you're looked at as common fodder.
22:30You're just a demographic.
22:32You're a despicable nuisance
22:39understanding of what this book is all about. Nothing, no government
22:45is more important than people. No church is more important than people. No church is more important than people. No church is more important than people. No No church is more important
22:50than people. No office is more important than people.
22:54God
22:55came to save
22:56the lost.
22:57If we see people, then we will see like Jesus
23:01sees. But if we just see labels and demographics
23:05and and cultures,
23:06then you are so so shortsighted.
23:10You need a revival
23:12to break scales of carnality
23:14off your eyes. You can't let people label themselves.
23:19I'll always remember when a woman came to this church and met me in the foyer,
23:23and
23:24I was just greeting like I always do.
23:26And
23:27she said, so how long before you kick me out of this church?
23:32Listen. When you're pastor, it's crazy what happens.
23:35The problem is is this is a crazy pastor.
23:39She said, how long are you gonna kick me out of this church?
23:42I said, no.
23:44Why would I have to do that?
23:47Well, she said, because I'm a lesbian.
23:50I said, oh, really?
23:52I said, I'm a once married heterosexual. What does that have to do with anything?
23:59She didn't get that. She didn't think that would be the answer that was coming her way.
24:05She didn't she didn't we're all
24:08sinners
24:11saved by grace.
24:13Your sinner label doesn't scare me.
24:17So you've been dealing a lot of crack cocaine later. Lately, I'm not afraid of you.
24:22I got the right answer for you.
24:25We've got people in this church that have been in all kinds of pits way down low, and you would never imagine how far God reached down to get them because you sit beside them
24:39holy hands without wrath and doubting. And they've got a record, but they know when they look to the Lord, they're clean and they're free because they've been redeemed.
24:52Help me, holy ghost.
24:55When church
24:56is reduced to moments of entertainment,
24:59when church is reduced to speeches by preachers,
25:03when church is reduced to where people are exploited
25:06in some pyramid scheme to help social media to achieve prominence,
25:11then the church has ceased to be what she is. The church is you hearing the word of the Lord, and the word of the Lord coming on you. And while the word reigns in this house, something gets down on the inside of you and nobody knows when it happens. But you know when it happens, it's like fire
25:29and it starts thinking, wow,
25:32I'm considering
25:33something down here. I used to think one way, but I'm getting another revelation on how to think. I'm gonna start talking different. I'm gonna start walking different. I'm gonna start eating different. I'm gonna start drinking different. I'm gonna start living different. I'm gonna be a better friend than I've ever been. I'm gonna be a better husband than I've ever been. I'm gonna be a better father than I've ever been. I'm gonna be a better son or a daughter than I've ever been. And whenever church is reduced to just a demographic,
26:01it's enough to make angels weep in the sight of
26:04God. Always and eternally,
26:07a church is built for people.
26:12A person is a person is a person. A soul is a soul is a soul. I walked out today.
26:19Joy University was beginning,
26:21and those teachers were spreading out the chairs and, you know, different classes will have different numbers. But I walked by one teacher and I said, if you have two tonight, you have two eternity sitting in front of you. Why? Because a soul is a soul and a person is a person. Some people only look at the size of the crowd and they can't perform.
26:41If the crowd hasn't reached some high, they'll wait until the crowd grows when the lord said, no. No. No. No. One is enough. Wherever two
26:50or three
26:51are gathered together
26:53in my name. I'm not saying I want things small. I just want things right. You've gotta love them one at a time.
27:00You can't love them by tens.
27:03Well, I'll start reaching soul when you get 10 out there.
27:07No.
27:10One. One.
27:12The devil wants you to not see one.
27:15He doesn't want you to see anything till it's swelled and grown and big and when no. No. No. It's it's one person and one soul, and one is an infinite
27:34we
27:42who
27:49whosoever
27:51believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
27:54life.
27:55Everything on this earth was made for man.
27:58Whatever stretched out before the limit
28:01limited or limitless eons of time,
28:04whatever length of time science wants to affix to how it was that the world's refrained,
28:09whatever amount of time you want to put between Genesis one one
28:14and one two,
28:15whatever eons and epics
28:17that you want to say existed
28:20in the formation of the volcanoes
28:22and the continental
28:24plates. Whatever time science wishes to appropriate
28:28and say that's how long
28:30that was there.
28:32That's how old these rocks are. That's how long these bones have been buried in this place. It doesn't matter to me. Don't fuss about how long it was because whatever amount of time it was, all of it was made in preparation
28:49for man.
28:50It was all made for us.
28:53All that means that all the cataclysms
28:55and all the transformations
28:56and all the upheavals of earthquakes and volcanoes are for one
29:01thing. They're not for dirt and they're not for water. It's for mankind.
29:07Man was the crown jewel of God's creation.
29:11Man was also coming to have dominion.
29:14God wanted him to have dominion, and all things would be put under his feet. Everything that happened on the first day and everything that happened on the second day of creation and everything that happened on the third day of creation,
29:28and everything that happened on the fourth day of creation, and everything that happened on the fifth day of creation, and everything that happened before man was made. It was all made
29:39for man
29:40to come and have dominion.
29:42The coal deposits so long being formed are but storage bins where God stored fuel that men would need to become
29:51what they were created to become.
29:53All the oil deposits in the North Sea or the Alaskan Tundra,
29:58all of it that is being pumped out of the earth today in Texas and Venezuela.
30:03All of it was put there long, long ago
30:06because God knew that men would need it to become what he created
30:11them to become. No other being in all creation could have discovered
30:16the existences
30:17and the uses of God's creation
30:20like man has discovered the uses
30:23and the existences
30:24of the these creation. And no other creation has put it to use like man has put it to use because it was made
30:32for us. Chinese alchemists
30:34seeking an immortality
30:37potion,
30:38combined charcoal
30:40and mixed in sulfur and put salt, pepper, or peter together in it, and they called it fire medic medicine.
30:47And that fire medicine was supposed to help people
30:51get an extended period of time on this earth.
30:54But it sat for over a hundred and fifty years on the shelves of the alchemist of China
31:00until somebody discovered
31:02there was another cause for it
31:12potions
31:13to help you live longer
31:15until they finally found that it would hurl missiles
31:18and fire weapons and and help in so many other ways of of exposing the dirt with dynamite.
31:25They discovered it a hundred and fifty years, but men knew there's a greater cause for it. Now they're discovering
31:34new uses of information.
31:36They're turned sand of the desert into silicone
31:40and silicone wafers. And through that, we have intelligence
31:43that is burning through this present age in a way and a rate that blows the minds of anybody who's paying attention.
31:51What a ride we are on. There's an old foe Chinese parable that says,
31:58it was a curse. They called it a Chinese curse. It didn't come from China.
32:03Mister Chamberlain from England thought and misheard it, and he was on his way to China. But it's a Chinese proverb that says it was a curse, a pro Chinese curse
32:12that says, may you live in interesting times.
32:18And even though it was false and even though it was not an accurate quote, it still has an impact in this day because
32:25interesting times may be the thing that shakes our very nervous system and causes boils and roils in our stomach. And this is the cause of change that's so fast. We don't even know how to keep our equilibrium,
32:39and we're on that ride. And it's our generation
32:42that God trace trusted with this crazy ride. And yet in the middle of it all, the earth spins through space, and only God could produce
32:52such a ride. It's better than anything at Disney World. As rapid as it moves and as heavy as its payload is, no access has broken and the spinning
33:03has been precise.
33:04No power that holds it all together falls and fails as this planet passes through unnumbered forces
33:12without collision.
33:13What purpose is it that powers this universe forward? This world isn't here for lions and tigers. It's not here for elephants and kangaroos.
33:23It's not here for dinosaurs
33:25or dust mites. This whole thing is for you and for me. The whole thing is for humanity.
33:32The world is all put together
33:34for man, and there's no place in the universe like it. They've sought far and wide, high and low to find any place where there was the semblance of life like we have here, and it's all ultimately
33:48boring,
33:50boring,
33:51boring
33:52compared to the earth. And so we dwell in the mystery land and say, well, maybe somewhere out there and we're all on tiptoe waiting for them to release the alien files. I've come to tell you, I don't care if it gets released whenever. I'm standing on the word, and I'm telling you there's nothing higher in all creation than mankind.
34:11There's nothing greater than you sitting there right now. It's God's greatest expression of creation.
34:18You are the highest elevation.
34:20And when God came to this earth, the earth alone was constructed and designed
34:25for man. The world was made for man. The universe was made for man. There's nothing better than man that's been created ever since,
34:34ever ever since. And so here we stand. I got it right, Austin. I got it right.
34:41My my kids have been working on me to not say every since.
34:45So I'm gonna just pause
34:47and bring you into my world
34:50because I've been saying every since for a long time, and my son so gently has been trying to help his daddy out. He says, dad, it's ever since. And my gentle wife is so kind. So ever since
35:02ever since, god made this earth. Your human brain, I know. I don't know if you follow it like I do, but the greatest
35:10chips that NVIDIA has put out, that the whole world is clamoring,
35:14and they somebody said that they're gonna spend 1,500,000,000,000
35:20on the development of these chips.
35:22And Elon Musk tweeted back, said, you're joking.
35:26It's
35:2710,000,000,000,000
35:27or nothing. You're just playing in small pie numbers if it's 1,500,000,000,000.
35:33What's going on? But if you follow that, listen to me closely today.
35:37You run it, the best NVIDIA chips running today. If it did what you have done already by the time you got here to church, It would cost over $9,000,000
35:49of electricity,
35:51just what you did on a pop tart and a diet coke today. It would take $9,000,000
35:58of electricity
35:59to accomplish what you did just getting from the morning to sit down here, and they're sitting around in awe of acting like how they've invented something. And your brain blows it all away because you
36:11are God's creation. And the more they try to create humanoid robots, the more they realize the brilliant,
36:19amazing,
36:20genius,
36:21miraculous
36:22creation
36:23that you and I are. Not if your s I s a t is thirteen, fourteen hundred. No. If it's nine fifty, it's still better than all of creation
36:34because God made everything
36:37for mankind.
36:38It was not the angels that God, Hebrews said, subjected the world to come of which we are speaking.
36:45He did not create this for angels. No. The devil is an interloper in another man's house. This earth belongs to us. He made it for mankind.
36:55It's not the angels that God subjected to the world to come. Hey. Gabriel has to pay rent to live in my house.
37:03Michael the archangel has to pay lease to be in my house because this earth, it was
37:09made for us. What is man
37:11that thou art mindful of him?
37:13The son of man
37:15that you visitest.
37:25That you visited him.
37:27You made
37:29him for a little while lower than the angels.
37:31You've crowned him with glory and honor.
37:34You've put everything under subjection to him.
37:37Angels
37:38stand amazed
37:39at you and I.
37:41The Bible said they're so curious they long to understand
37:44redemption.
37:45The Bible says it's called so great
37:49salvation
37:50that angels will never experience redemption.
37:53Never will one angel ever experience
37:57redemption.
37:58They find it wondrous that it's worthy of intense
38:02contemplation.
38:03The Greek words
38:05means literally
38:06they're eager and intensely
38:08bending over
38:10to peer deeply
38:11into redeemed
38:13hearts. You may have sinned all your life, and tonight, you walk to this altar, and you lift up your hands
38:20and say, lord,
38:21will you wash me clean?
38:25And angels
38:26are up there staring at you
38:29because they heard every hellish,
38:31impish
38:32curse
38:33that has been hurled at you from evil voices
38:36and evil demons.
38:38And yet, in one swift moment,
38:41redemption can rewrite
38:43your life.
38:44There is no higher order than humanity,
38:47and humanity is the best that God has.
38:50God's not waiting for aliens to do a great work. No. It's all about you. He's not waiting for some outer source to come down to earth and to be discovered as an higher form intelligence. There is not one.
39:04You are it. There's gonna be a divine house cleaning. Yes. There's gonna be a new heaven that comes and a new earth that is made, but the occupants will still be you and me. It will still be humanity,
39:17not another addition, no us.
39:20Mortal shall put on immortality,
39:23and we shall be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. For we know that a whole creation groaneth together and travaileth
39:32in pain until now.
39:35It all groans and moans and waits. Why? Because the Bible said they're looking for the manifestation
39:41of the sons of God. Three weeks ago in Pembroke Pines,
39:46waste management
39:47opened
39:48a $90,000,000
39:52recycling center
39:53where we can take our trash and they can recycle it and put it out to be
39:59reused again.
40:01But many of you are sacrificing and paying and working and straining
40:06to put some money into the Cathedral Of Pentecost
40:09because we're not building a recycling house. We're building a house of redemption.
40:14I've been redeemed
40:16by
40:18blood divine.
40:19I was broken, and he set me back up. I was undone, and he put me back together again. I was wasted and outcast,
40:27and he called my name.
40:31Man began among the the animals.
40:35That was our first order was to name them
40:37in size and in strength. Animals are our superior,
40:41but we subdue the animals.
40:44Species after species have become extinct,
40:47but man still remains.
40:50In every climate, we can live. Through every catastrophes,
40:54we survive.
40:55Man lives
40:56in the systems of idolatry,
40:59the religions that men make.
41:01The gods appear grotesque and hideous.
41:04If you'll look at them formed in the minds of men,
41:08they come looking like deformed creatures, part
41:12manator
41:13and part man,
41:14part bull
41:16and part woman.
41:18Ugly hybrid animals
41:20hewn out of stone
41:22and carved out of wood. But every time in your Bible, god comes as a theophany.
41:27He never comes as a bull. He never comes as a fish. He never comes as a serpent. He always appears as a man sitting
41:36as somebody standing by.
41:39He comes and appears
41:41there's that movement of God. That's why the hell of delight is to mar and mutilate men that commit mismanage
41:49what your visage looks like, make you feel like you're not enough as you are, and so you've got to remake who you are. But if you look in the past and examine it and decipher it, man has only just begun. If you're a historian,
42:05you haven't gotten one scintilla of a beginning of what the history of man is because it's going to be world without
42:14end. It's just hardly
42:17scratching
42:18the surface. I talked to my mother, sister Elmscomb. I talked to my mother for a while today, and we talked to each other. And she's 80, I believe, two years old now. And and we we were talking about her age or maybe 83 years old, and we were talking about her age. And I told her, I said, mama, I know things have slowed down for you, and I know most of your circle is just at home. The circumference of your life has been diminished and diminished and diminished and diminished.
42:46Where
42:47now she can only go where she can walk, and that's not out of doors.
42:51I said, but, mama,
42:53your greatest days are ahead of you. They are not behind you, mama. You have not yet begun to see
43:01the things that god has prepared
43:04for us.
43:05Jeremiah, the lord said, for I have plans for you,
43:09declares the lord.
43:11Plans of welfare are not for evil,
43:14to give you a future
43:15and a hope. First Peter one four says, an inheritance
43:20which is imperishable,
43:22undefiled,
43:23and
43:24unfading,
43:25kept
43:26in heaven
43:27for
43:28you. When God touches a person's life, he not only cleans up the inner man, he cleans up the outer man also. You don't feel like now you've got to decorate in such craziness as the world says. You don't have to wear their trappings that declare you're a part of this tribe or that
43:45tribe or this party or that party. No. You're content with god making you and placing you and ordering your steps.
43:56Oh, lord.
43:57I don't wanna be marked by some label.
44:00I don't even like to get in the races because this world has tried to segregate us all by race.
44:08And then I was born in California, so that automatically eliminates me from a lot of people's world.
44:16The land of fruits and nuts. That's me, baby.
44:20And then
44:21I was eating with my son-in-law the other day who says he's Mexican.
44:26Abel Bonilla.
44:28Born in Oregon. I said, I am more Mexican than you are. I was born 10 miles from Tijuana.
44:34Don't you walk up to me and tell me you're Mexican. I was born in, just North of Tijuana, so get out of my face.
44:43All of these lines of demarcation,
44:47and I know we're in the world baseball classic, and I feel sorry for all of the Mexicans as The USA destroyed you in baseball yesterday.
44:59We got the World Cup, and we'll have people singing all kinds of sorrows.
45:04People will have two jerseys sewn on one shirt, depends on who's winning, they'll turn it around.
45:12No.
45:13I've been redeemed by blood divine.
45:16Oh, glory. Glory. Christ is my I've never told my kids you marry a color.
45:21Never.
45:23I said you married character.
45:25What character, daddy?
45:26The character of Christ.
45:28That's what you marry.
45:30You spend your time with the character of Christ. I don't care if they started in the church and they've got a long legacy or if they're the first generation and they have no legacy.
45:41My brother in law's on both sides are some of the best men you'll ever meet in all the world. You wait till we get to heaven. You'll be glad you were associated with Glenn Alicia and Danny Hood.
45:51You'll be glad that you had some way of them knowing you before you they get to heaven because I promise you something about my brother in laws, and my and this is my opinion. They're the best brother in laws in all the world, and they are great,
46:06wonderful
46:07men of God.
46:08Integrity.
46:10I can leave my wallet and my bank account and my crypto
46:14numbers.
46:17Not enough there to talk about, but
46:20with them,
46:21I can trust my kids with them.
46:24And one of them's daddy was a drunk
46:27who threatened suicide several times,
46:30and the other one's daddy was a thief.
46:33Such a terrible thief. He was ashamed to his own son,
46:38Yet they are men of God. Why? Because this is a house of not where we came from.
46:45You hear me sons and daughters of great parents? It's not where you came from. You hear me sons and daughters of sin and pain? It's not where we came from. We are redeemed by the hand of the crimson blood of Calvary.
47:03That means when we're converted, we become clean.
47:06Our thoughts become clean. Our looks become clean. Our mouth becomes clean.
47:11Whenever somebody shouts, the reason they're shouting is not because somebody made them shout. It's because there was a change inside them one day that they've never forgotten.
47:21And when they get in the presence of the lord, they gotta say, glory.
47:27Glory.
47:29Thank you, Jesus.
47:31You wanna know how to fill in the blank when you don't know what to say at church?
47:36Just say,
47:37thank you, Jesus.
47:39Because you don't know all the ways you ought to thank him.
47:51Thank you, lord.
47:54Thank you, lord, for taking my logically
47:57affected mind and letting me speak in a tongue that was not from my mind, but it was from the soul.
48:03I can't believe I got the Holy Ghost with this crazy mind I got that analyzes everything.
48:08But the Bible says you will speak with new tongue. After that, the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses. And so I believe the Bible over this stupid, ignorant mind of mine that is worth $9,000,000
48:22from just today. And tomorrow will be another $9,000,000
48:26of power generated
48:28from this mind of mine, but I let it go one day, and I'll let the soul out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. This spake he of the spirit.
48:42I am not my own. I was bought with a price. Only man has moral freedom.
48:47Nothing can make me sin. I'm not a helpless victim. I'm not a victim of my parents. No. I don't have to be like my parents. I'm not a victim of my culture. I don't have to be in my culture. They ripped Joseph out of his culture and stuck him in the middle of adulterous
49:01generation, and he couldn't make Joseph sin because we're moral agents. We're free. Nobody can make you sin. They can stick it in front of you. You can walk me through a warehouse of cocaine, and I'll leave clean
49:15because there's nothing that can make me sin. You can't make me do it. Why? I found a way.
49:22Just beyond this highway
49:24is a house prepared for me. In my father's house are many mansions. And if it were not so, if it was false, I would tell you it's false, but it's not false. So I go ahead to prepare a place for you that where I am,
49:40there you may be also.
49:42I've decided
49:44to serve the Lord. No power can stop me from serving the Lord. Lock me up, I'm gonna serve the Lord. Put me in Siberian jail, I'm gonna serve the Lord. Put me in a den of lions, I'm gonna serve the Lord. Put me in a fiery furnace, I'm gonna serve the Lord. Because I'm a free moral
50:02agent, and I decided.
50:04I made up my mind a long time ago
50:07just like many of you have done. You decided
50:11you can't be offended.
50:15You can try to offend me, you can't offend me. You can talk bad about me, you can't turn me away. You can whisper behind my back, you can't bother me. I got a king who believed in me, and he called me by name. And he said he's gonna make a house for me. No church hurt can keep me from
50:34his
50:37presence.
50:40So I set before you this day blessing and cursing.
50:44I set before you life
50:47and death.
50:48Choose you
50:50this day
50:51whom you will serve.
50:54Shall we stand all around this building?
51:00I choose him.
51:02I'm not ashamed that it shows the Lord.
51:06I'm 59 years old,
51:08and I chose the Lord in 1973.
51:11I've had some sin in my life.
51:14I don't wanna tell you this, but I've been drunk five times.
51:18I hope you'll let me pass it for Sunday.
51:20I've been drunk five times.
51:24I've smoked pot five times.
51:26Thank God that I didn't do any more than that.
51:31I'm ashamed that I did that.
51:35Stupid. The year of struggle,
51:38but there was never a Sunday.
51:40The Lord is my witness.
51:42There's never a Sunday
51:44that before it rolled around, I wasn't on my knees
51:47saying, lord, that's not who I am.
51:54I had the holy ghost when I did
51:57it. I don't even baptize when I did
52:01it. Ain't that ignorant?
52:03And such were something you dreamed.
52:09Redemption won't take to me
52:12and said you don't have to stay there.
52:16You can go wallow and check it out for a minute. You don't have to grind down in a minute and be bound down. No. You can be elevated.
52:23You were made to have dominion.
52:26Have it all.
52:27It's all made for you. All the gold in the mountains was for you. All the silver in the mountains is for you. All the cattle on a thousand hills is for you. All the oil is for you. All the land is for you. It's all made for man. That's the reason why I come to this house. I'm not just coming to check an attendance box. I'm coming to get in his presence and say, lord,
